So it looks like that by the time someone helps me name this thing it'll be ready for EARLY alpha testing.
If you'd like to alpha test this thing, please let me know. You must be willing and able to edit the data files (except for the wrestler and event files) by hand. This means you'll get a text document with the data structure for each file, and it's up to you to fill in the information as you want it. You also should be aware that this is just the basic event booker and the basic match engine. This does not include any circuit level anything.
This will of course not be the case by the time the open beta rolls around, but I'd like to squash as many bugs as possible without opening it up to EVERYONE before that happens. This will keep bugs from turning people off to the program not understanding that this is an alpha test.

I'm down to alpha test.
Another question. I know with wrestler move sets there will be only moves that can potentially end the match listed. Will there be a set of universal pinfall moves in the database? For instance, do we really need to put "roll up" in everyone's moves for a match to potentially end with a roll up?

Right now, that's the way it works. Honestly, I don't see an issue with it. Some brawlers may not really use roll-ups. Some people may not want to see matches end with a roll-up

Just seems like it's going to be a lot of repetition wrestler creation.

I actually think it would be easier to add a "template" to wrestler creation than it would be to add in default moves and then figure out who applies. Not that it would be impossible or anything, just sort of not worth it in the long run when this way works just fine. There's still a shit ton less stuff to deal with than creating a wrestler in TNM, since there's no play-by-play.
In the ~40 guys I've made so far, only a few of them use more than 2 of the 10 move slots not counting their finisher. So I doubt anyone is going to have to choose between a roll-up and some finishing move...

I think a roll-up should be wrestler specific. Here's why: Hogan is not winning a match by roll-up just because. If he is, it's because it's booked that way via shenanigans. And that can still happen if you book it.
Bret Hart, on the other hand, wins via roll-ups as part of his match strategy. So he'd have a victory roll and a la majistral cradle and a small package. Ric Flair would have a classic school-boy. Neither for John Cena, he COULD win a match by a roll-up if you book it that way, but not as part of his normal repertoire.

That was my original thoughts on the matter. Like I said, I could do templates, so technicians could get a few roll-ups, power guys would get a powrebomb, etc. but they'd still be wrestler specific to avoid the situation you just described.

Or, how about I make the boxes for moveset drop down boxes with some basic match ending moves included already, so you could either type your own, or select one of the pre-set ones?
Do you guys think you could hit me up with some "generic" match enders for the moveset boxes?
roll-up schoolboy small package sunset flip la magistral inside cradle
that's what I've got so far.

Backslide Jack-knife cradle O'Connor Roll
I'm also, naturally, interested in alpha and beta testing. I'll be off on holidays for two weeks without any access to my laptop, but after that I'm game.

Just as I think about possible names, someone remind me... does TNM stand for anything?

Isn't a rolling reverse cradle and an O'Connor Roll the same move?

How is this coming along? I downloaded the wrestler editor but it didn't work. I would love to help with this in anyway possible.
