NAWA Glory Xtra 3/15/07
Hype for tonight on Glory kicks off the show. Tonight, Harry Harris, the number one contender for the NAWA World Championship, will settle the score with Ron Killings inside a steel cage match. Plus the NAWA World Champion Teddy Hart takes on the NAWA International Champion Jerry Lynn in a one on one match. We are less than two weeks away from NAWA Reality Check 2007. And we're going to kick off with a number one contenders match for the NAWA Women's Championship held by Awesome Kong.
Number One Contenders Match for the NAWA Women's Championship:
Gail Kim vs. Mia Stylish vs. Sara Del Rey
All three women battled at each other with stiff strikes, kicks, suplexes, and submission holds when they tried to gain a shot at the woman on the top of the mountain, Awesome Kong. The NAWA Women's Champion is watching this match, where the winner will take her on Reality Check. A vicious power bomb to the floor from Del Rey to Gail Kim spells the end for her, despite her attempts to get back in the game. Del Rey beats up Mia Stylish and tries to take him down but a tornado DDT is countered into a Northern Lights Suplex for the pin and the win.
Number-One-Contenders-Triangle Match:
Mia Stylish defeated Sara Del Rey and Gail Kim when Mia pinned Del Rey after
a Northern Lights suplex in 0:09:40.
Rating: *** 1/2
The announcers put over this match and also the fact that Mia Stylish will finally get her return shot at Awesome Kong at Reality Check even though she had to go through hell to get it.
We take a look at Miles Stylish against Kurt Angle, Best Two Out of Three Falls Match, for the number one contender status for the NAWA World Championship. Stylish has been taunted by that one loss to Miles Stylish back at StarClash where he tapped out.
A few words from Jerry Lynn and Bob Backlund, with Lynn warning Teddy Hart not to look past him to Harry Harris at Reality Check. The Cross-Face Chickenwing is a deadly move and Backlund says that Lynn will be the NAWA World Champion by the end of February of 2008 or he will retire, restating the promise that was made.

AJ Styles, Tyler Black, and Curry Man vs. Kid Kash, Shawn Stasiak, and Tomko(w/Candace Sweet)
Sederick Skyhawk is preparing to defend his NAWA Television Title against Bryan Danielson later tonight, so three members of Sederick Skyhawk Productions step into the ring for some action tonight. Curry Man is trapped in the corner, with Stasiak's obsession of de-masking him proving to be the downfall of his team. Hot tag is made to AJ Styles who runs wild. Tyler Black is in the ring after a time and shows some high impact offense, before he drills Stasiak with a superkick to pin him when he was too busy posing and pandering to the crowd.
Tyler Black, Curry Man and AJ Styles defeated Kid Kash, Shawn Stasiak and Tomko
when T. Black pinned S. Stasiak after a superkick in 0:05:17.
Rating: ** 1/2
Curry Man taunts Stasiak, as Candace shrieks about what happened. Tyler Black scores another huge win, undefeated so far in the New Age Wrestling Alliance and he will challenge Homicide for the NAWA Cruiserweight Championship at Reality Check. Candace storms off, angry, with Stasiak following her backstage, protesting.
Look at the Best of Seven Series so far. The Briscoe Brothers won the first match, the Motor City Machine Guns tie things up again. The Briscoes win the next two, putting the Guns in the pressure cooker. Then the Guns come back to make the series 3-2, Briscoes. In two days on Glory, there will be an important match, match six. If the Guns can win, then they tie things up, but if the Briscoes win, then there is no need for a seventh match. The final match, if necessary, will take place on March 26th at Reality Check.
Coming up next, the NAWA World Tag Team Titles are on the line when the Rottweilers defend against the reluctant duo of the Gambler and Samoa Joe. More action is coming up next on Glory.

NAWA World Tag Team Titles:
The NAWA World Tag Champions, Homicide and Low Ki, the Rottweilers(w/Larry Sweeney) defend against the Gambler and Samoa Joe.
Samoa Joe exchanges stiff shots with the Rottweilers at the early portion in the match. The Gambler is brought into the ring and taken down in no man's land, before he is destroyed without mercy. The Gambler is kicked and stomped, beaten across the back of the head. The double team assaults of Low Ki and Homicide get more brutal with each passing instant of what they are trying to accomplish. The Gambler fights out of the corner, elbowing his way out, but suddenly Takeshi Morishima pulls Samoa Joe off the ring. Morishima will be in a three way match with Joe and Gambler at Reality Check. Low Ki and Homicide hit a sandwich kick to the back of the head/lariat, before Low Ki finishes off with a double foot stomp to retain the titles. Joe cannot save, due to being preoccupied by Morishima.
Low Ki and Homicide defeated The Gambler and Samoa Joe when Ki pinned Gambler
after a flying double foot stomp in 0:15:29.

(Low Ki and Homicide retained the NAWA World Tag Team Titles.)
Joe thunders back to the ring, pissed off but Low Ki and Homicide beat him down, with Morishima entering the ring. Joe is tough, but these three men are double tough as well. Running knee in the corner by Low Ki, sets up a lariat from Homicide, and Morishima hits a belly to back suplex on Joe. Joe and Gambler are laid out as Sweeney laughs, the mastermind behind this. Joe is up and is out for blood, but Morishima kicks him twice in the face.
Ron Killings cuts a brief promo, stating that tonight he's going to be in a cage with Harry Harris and he's going to beat him like he owns him. His back will be snapped and that will be that.
Teddy Hart states a few words, saying that he isn't underestimating Jerry Lynn, and he'll prove why he should be the NAWA World Champion. That match is up next, the top of the hour, Jerry Lynn against Teddy Hart, don't go away.
[COMMERCIAL]
Harry Harris pops on in for some color commentary for the next match, hyping up his cage match later tonight and hoping that Teddy Hart remains one hundred percent for their NAWA World Championship Match, because he wants to beat Hart when he's at his best.
Non Title Match(Champion Versus Champion)
NAWA World Champion Teddy Hart vs. NAWA International Champion Jerry Lynn(w/Mr. Bob Backlund)
Hart uses his speed and agility to start out with but an overzealous charge sends Hart flying into the ringpost. His arm is dinged and Lynn zeroes in on it, working it over preparing for the Cross-Face Chickwing. Hart makes the ropes for the first time for the Chickenwing and Hart fires back. He can't hold the Sharpshooter on, due to his arm being too hurt. Hart goes up top, but Lynn catches him up top and hits a gutwrench shoulderbreaker off the top rope. Cross-Face Chickenwing is set up but Hart avoids it. Hart baits Backlund into attacking him on the floor and Backlund rises to the occasion, jumping Hart on the floor and posting his arm. That gets a disqualification.
Teddy Hart defeated Jerry Lynn via disqualification in 0:10:31
Rating: ***
Backlund spazzes out and attacks Hart even more. He holds the arm so Lynn can baseball slide it and they destroy Hart on the floor. Harry Harris drops the head set and leaves the announcer's booth, with Lynn ramming Hart's shoulder into the ring steps. Harry Harris walks around the long way to the other side of the ring, with Lynn locking the Chickenwing on Hart. Harris grabs a chair, to chase them away, but the damage to Hart's shoulder has been done. He won't be one hundred percent and Harris guards him with a chair. Lynn beat on that arm during that entire match and then there was the post match beatdown. This is not the first time that Harry Harris took his time saving Teddy Hart from a beating and he might have a busted up arm. Harris's chances in winning the NAWA World Championship look much better.
We cut to the backstage area, where Shawn Stasiak demands a match with Curry Man, where Curry Man must unmask if he loses. Curry Man agrees to the match, but only if there is a stipulation. He has a contract right there and it will be signed and official. Stasiak agrees to do this and we cut to a

NAWA Television Championship Match:
Bryan Danielson vs. Sederick Skyhawk(c)(w/Candace Sweet and Tomko)
Danielson grabs Skyhawk at the bell and hits a release German Suplex, before pulling out a La Magistral for a nearfall. He nearly won the championship at the bell and Skyhawk bails to the floor. Danielson beats on Skyhawk and pummels him with strikes. Thanks to Tomko, Skyhawk gets the heat, working over Danielson with an abdominal stretch, using the ropes. He beats on Danielson and DDT connects for a nearfall. Diving elbow drop misses and Danielson elbow strikes away at him. Danielson hits a double underhook suplex and a diving dropkick for a nearfall. Second rope European Uppercut gets two and Dragon Suplex brings Skyhawk down on his neck. The title is slipping through his fingers. Danielson knocks out Tomko with an elbow to the face and covers but only gets a two and nine tenths count. Candace shrieks like a demented banshee at ringside and Danielson goes up top. Diving Headbutt hits the knees and Skyhawk goes for the countout but Danielson chases him up the ramp and throws him into the ring.
Sunset flip into the ring and a nearfall, before Danielson turns it into a bow and arrow submission hold. Skyhawk is in pain and Candace enters the ring but Danielson avoids being hit by her so Skyhawk can't get disqualified. Airplane spin to Candace which gets a pop from the crowd. Skyhawk goes to hit Danielson with the belt but Danielson ducks and high angle belly to back suplex, and now he hooks both arms, before flipping over with the Cattle Mutilation. Danielson has Skyhawk trapped and both of his associates are down. Skyhawk may be out and the bell rings. Do we have a new champion? No...TIME LIMIT AGAIN!
Bryan Danielson and Sederick Skyhawk battled to a draw in 0:20:00.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Sederick Skyhawk retained the NAWA Television Title.)
Skyhawk didn't beat Danielson, the clock did, even with the extended twenty minute time limit. The NAWA Television Championship has been rendered unconscious. The fans chant for "five more mintues" but Tomko carries Skyhawk to the back, with the belt, and Candace yells that he's still the champion. Had it not been for Skyhawk's constant stalling and the interference of both Candace and Tomko, Danielson would be the champion. He has Skyhawk's number, it's only the matter of catching him in the right time.
Backstage:
Harry Harris is interviewed by Dan Marion who asks about the events of earlier tonight. Harris claims innocence and tells Hart to rest the shoulder. Larry Sweeney pops up to inform that Harris has a match in two days on Glory, when he teams up with Samoa Joe to take on the Gambler and Teddy Hart. Harris is not happy about teaming up with Joe and Sweeney looks amused, the shit stirrer that he is.
Next, Kurt Angle and Miles Stylish have words before their Best Two Out of Three Falls Match at Reality Check and the Steel Cage is lowered when Ron Killings takes on Harry Harris.
[COMMERCIAL]
Miles Stylish is the first one to cut a promo, claiming how StarClash has haunted him, that one fleeting bit of doubt in his mind that he is the second best. He has to beat Kurt Angle and he has to become the NAWA World Champion once again for the sake of his sanity. Stylish claims he studied footage of that match and he knows Kurt Angle better than he knows himself. Reality Check will be Kurt Angle's waterloo and Stylish will prove why he's the best pound for pound competitor in any wrestling organization in the world.
Kurt Angle cuts a promo next, stating that despite all of Stylish's bravado, he fears Kurt Angle .He hides it behind his arrogance. StarClash was not a fluke, history will repeat itself time and time again. Best Two Out of Three Falls, well Angle will pin Stylish and the force him to submit, so there is no doubt in his mind who the better man is. It will be done in two straight and then Angle will win the NAWA World Championship. He can't prove to be the best until he gets that gold around his waist.
Coming up next, Ron Killings against Harry Harris, this time they meet in a cage. The cage is being lowered and that match is next.
[COMMERCIAL]
Larry Sweeney announces that while Harry Harris can only win this match by pinfall or submission, Killings can also win this match by going through the door or climbing over the cage top. The deck has been stacked against Harry Harris tonight.
Steel Cage Match:
Harry Harris vs. Ron Killings(w/Larry Sweeney)
Killings and Harris exchange punches, neither backing down. Harris is hung up on the top rope with a hot shot and Killings gains the heat on him, driving a series of elbows down on the back of his neck. The announcers remind us that Harry Harris has only one lost steel cage match in NAWA history and he even ended Samoa Joe's undefeated streak in one. Killings beats on Harris and takes him down with the loaded punch with the white punch. Killings goes to climb out the cage but Harris blocks it and hits a superplex off of the top of the cage. Both men are down and Sweeney has the door open, to try and pull his man out of the cage. Teddy Hart rushes out and chases Sweeney, but when he runs by, he slams the door shut onto the right knee of Harris!
The fans are hushed, was that an accident or was it intentional? Killings works over the knee of Harris, applying a figure four leglock. Harris has had knee surgery in the past and Killings uses the ropes for leverage. Sweeney has been chased to the back. Killings demands for the door to be opened and he yells that he's going to win this one. Harris yells that if Killings leaves now, he'll never had pinned Harry Harris and this baits Killings into entering the ring and beating on Harris. Three Axe Kicks are hit in succession but Harris kicks out at two and nine tenths. Vertical facebuster and Killings goes to the outside. 450 Splash missed and Killings knocked himself out. Harris applies the triangle choke to the downed Killings and there's no way for him to go, so he tapped out. Harris wins once again!
