MWCW for March 31st 2007
Tonight, tag team main event action with the MWCW Tag Team Champions Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black, DIFH, with the diabolical Lacey in their corner, taking on Elix Skipper and Petey Williams. Jacobs and Tyler Black have been champions for nine months now, after knocking off the Naturals and then banishing them from the company. Skipper and Williams are NAWA Superstars, although Tyler Black has recently become the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion, and that might drive a wedge between the partnership.
Robert Roode is out to open up the show, stating that he tasted the gold around his waist one time, he held the MWCW World Championship before the current champion Brent Albright won the belt in a Triple Threat Match that also included Matt Bentley. Roode states that Bentley was the one that got pinned and not him, therefore he is still undefeated and he’s going to show tonight why it pays to be Roode.
Jack Evans vs. Robert Roode
Robert Roode has a chip on his shoulder losing the MWCW Championship to Brent Albright in that match where Matt Bentley ate the pin. He takes it out on Evans. Evans uses his high flying abilities to take down Roode but he’s hung up. Evans makes a comeback but is caught and planted with the Double R Spinebuster for the pin.
Robert Roode pinned Jack Evans after a spinebuster slam in 0:12:33.
Rating: *** ¼
We see Rhino ranting in the back, stating that the MWCW Championship is his ticket to returning to the NAWA. He’ll do anything to get that shot, after losing five months of his career due to an injury. Rhino yells that he will Gore Kevin Steen next week and be one step closer to the gold and one step closer to earning a spot on the main roster.
DIFH are in the back, with Tyler Black showing up with the NAWA Cruiserweight Championship draped over his shoulder. Jimmy Jacobs is trying to look happy for his championship partner but there is a bit of the Green Eyed Monster showing up for him. Lacey says that Jimmy isn’t cutting the goods and Tyler’s holding the team. If he wants to get past first base with her, he better step up in the ring and she suggests win singles gold. Jacobs suggests that he’s going to go the NAWA and knock off Harry Harris to win the big belt which even Lacey rolls her eyes at. Jacobs regales her with some poetry.
Percival Icronis cuts a promo, stating that he is disturbed all of the low class peons in MWCW. He talks about how he’ll bring back the arts, sophistication, and class to this company and he will be a man that the children can aspire to emulate. He is returning to MWCW next month and he’s going to make an impact.
Alisssa Flash vs. Daizee Haze
Flash is looking to make an impact and move up to the main roster against one of the main roster women’s division competitors in Daizee Haze. The NAWA Women’s Champion Awesome Kong, along with the MWCW Women’s Champion Serena Deeb who knocked off Sarah Stock to win the gold just six weeks ago is watching this match rather closely. Haze misses a charge in the corner and the Green Fall gets the win. Flash has scored an impressive victory and one must wonder if NAWA Commissioner Larry Sweeney is watching this one closely for future female talent.
[MWCW 3/31/07]:
Alissa Flash pinned Daizee Haze with the Green Fall in 0:09:06.
Rating: ** ¾
