NAWA Glory 8/30/2007.
Tonight on Glory, we’ll see a huge ten team main event, with Harry Harris, Takeshi Morishima, Kurt Angle, Ron Killings, and Necro Butcher taking on Samoa Joe, the Gambler, Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, and Abyss. Plus, Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black take on Miles Stylish and Jerry Lynn, in a WrestleClash VI preview where opponents on this show are partners.
It appears that we’ve got some bad news, Abyss will not be able to compete in the ten man tag team match, due to being injured, so Joe’s team is down a man and as of this moment on Glory, it’s now a five on four handicap match.
Brother Devon vs. Chris Sabin vs Jay Briscoe vs. Homicide.
This is a preview of the huge fatal four way tag team match, with the partners banned from ringside. Sabin and Devon are wiped out through the finishing run. Homicide goes for a lariat but Jay ducks and hits a huge lariat of his own. This allows Jay to set up the Jay Driller and score the pin on Homicide.
Four Corners Match: Jay Briscoe defeated Chris Sabin, Brother Devon and Homicide when J. Briscoe pinned Homicide with the J-Driller in 0:12:09. Rating: *** ¾
We see footage of Austin Starr pinning Bryan Danielson last week on this show. It will be Austin Starr and it will be Bryan Danielson for the NAWA Television Championship at WrestleClash VI.
A recap of Nigel McGuinness and his rise to the top, and Christian’s return. These two men will clash one on one for the NAWA International title.
Shawn Stasiak makes his way down to the ring and he wants a one on one match with Sederick Skyhawk at Wrestleclash VI. He might not have the best win-loss record, but he’s not anyone’s tool. Out comes Skyhawk, with Tomko, and Skyhawk says that if Stasiak can beat Tomko, then he gets him in the ring at WrestleClash VI.
Shawn Stasiak vs. Tomko.
Tomko bolts from the ring and gets counted out, as Skyhawk freaks out, depending to know what’s going on.
Shawn Stasiak defeated Tomko by countout in 0:00:31. Rating: -* ½
Skyhawk enters the ring, with Tomko standing there and Stasiak stares down Skyhawk. Skyhawk steps back and Tomko enters the ring, standing behind the two of them. TOMKO YAKUZA KICKS STASIAK! Stasiak has been knocked out and Skyhawk looks at Tomko, who leaves the ring. Once again, the announcers discuss what Tomko is up to. Skyhawk has his match with Stasiak at WrestleClash VI and once again Tomko remains a wildcard.
We understand that Christopher Daniels has been forced to drop out of tonight’s main event, due to not being cleared to wrestle until September 7th, two days before WrestleClash VI.
Miles Stylish and Jerry Lynn(w/Bob Backlund) vs. Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs(w/Lacey)
Lynn and Stylish are former NAWA Tag Team Champions and no strangers to teaming up but right now, they are trying to outdo each other with each high impact move that they can. Poor Jimmy Jacobs plays the unfortunate pinball in the center of the ring, beating beaten down hard but he fights out of the corner, coming out swinging. Black gets tagged in and has some intense exchanges with Stylish but gets taken out by Lynn. Knee to the back sets up a swinging suplex and now Stylish catapults Black into a springboard dropkick from Lynn, showing some of that old team work.
Black fights back after some more double team moves and slides underneath Lynn’s legs, nailing him with a huge superkick, knocking him onto his back. He goes for the tag but Lynn reaches Stylish first and cuts him off. Stylish beats on Black and whip into the corner, with Lacey on the apron, but Lacey drops down, hurting her knee. Jacobs drops down to check on Lacey, as she favors her ankle. That allows Stylish to pull out the LVT for the pin, to conclude this amazing tag team match.
Miles Stylish and Jerry Lynn defeated D.I.F.H. (Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black) when Stylish pinned T. Black with the Las Vegas Trauma in 0:19:16. Rating: **** ½
We see Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs getting into it and Lynn and Stylish exchange a heated stare, as it appears that both of these men have some mutual respect tonight but they’ll save the real insanity for the match at WrestleClash VI.
We see AJ Styles being punked in the back by Necro Butcher. Necro Butcher hits a huge power bomb on the concrete floor, bouncing the head of AJ Styles off of it like a basket ball.
Awesome Kong has been the dominant NAWA Women’s Champion for several months but Mia Stylish has been chasing her way up the top. These two women collide one on one at WrestleClash VI where it will be Mia Stylish taking on Awesome Kong.
We understand that Samoa Joe and the Gambler will be in a five on two handicap match in the main event, which might be what the Cabal planned all this time.
The Gambler and Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle, Ron Killings, Takeshi Morishima, Necro Butcher, and the NAWA World Champion Harry Harris.
Joe looks across the ring at Harry Harris and it’s obvious that if he can get his hands on Harris, the only way that he can do this is to take out the four other men standing there. Joe and Morishima exchange blows in the early portion of the match, like a pair of angry bulls. Joe hits a running knee in the corner and hits the STO, and destroys him. Tag to the Gambler, who beats down Morishima but he gets low bridged. Necro Butcher rushes over and MURDERS THE GAMBLER WITH A HUGE LARIAT! He picks up the Gambler and hits a half nelson suplex into the ring steps.
The Gambler rolls into the ring, just barely fighting out of Morishima’s attacks. Morishima misses a running avalanche in the corner and the Gambler collapses into the corner for the tag. Joe runs in but we see Kurt Angle climbing to the ring apron behind the Gambler and hitting the Angle Slam off of the ring apron! The Gambler has been wiped out and he’s been taken out of this match. Joe hits the Yakuza Kick to Morishima but Killings is in. Joe dodges his attack and hits a Samoan Drop. Necro Butcher nails Joe from behind with an axe handle blow but Joe fights out with a dragon screw leg whip.
It’s Samoa Joe now trapped in a five on one situation, and now Angle and Joe are trading moves in the ring. We see the referee go down, which means things have gone from bad to worse. Joe sets up the Muscle Buster but Necro Butcher is in the ring with a chair. Joe puts Angle down and superkicks the chair into the Butcher’s face. Killings and Morishima enter the ring and swam Joe, with Killings hitting a running forearm smash into a Dangerous Backdrop from Morishima! Joe refuses to go down once again, but now Necro Butcher is up, bloodied form the lip and has the chair. NECRO BUTCHER SLAMS THE CHAIR OVER THE BACK OF JOE THREE TIMES IN SUCCESSION! Angle is now up to his feet and hits the Angle Slam on Joe once again. Joe is held in position and Morishima climbs to the top rope, pulling off a splash off of the top rope.
The numbers are overwhelming Joe and now we see Necro Butcher beating now Joe, and hitting a huge DDT on the chair! Joe might have been knocked out and Angle picks up Joe. Another Angle Slam drills him and Harry Harris smiles, waving them off. Samoa Joe has been destroyed by these four men and now the NAWA World Champion enters the ring. Harry Harris covers Samoa Joe hooking the leg and scores the pin.
Handicap-Match: Harry Harris, Kurt Angle, Ron Killings, Takeshi Morishima and Necro Butcher defeated Samoa Joe and The Gambler when Harris defeated Joe via pinfall in 0:29:17. Rating: *** ¾
Harry Harris just pinned Samoa Joe yet again but the matter was quite dubious to say the least. He stands on the fallen body of Samoa Joe, triumphant. A sign of things to come? We’ll find out in ten days and counting at WrestleClash VII.

NAWA Glory 9/6/2007
We cut to the NAWA World Champion Harry Harris, who is sitting in the lockeroom, his belt draped over his chair. Harris talks about how they said that Samoa Joe was the dragon that they sent knight after knight after and how they all came up empty. Two years, Samoa Joe beat everyone that was put in front of him and at StarClash 2006, Harry Harris beat Samoa Joe. That loss has been eating away at Samoa Joe since then, he’s been obsessed with avenging his loss to Harry Harris. The pundits, the so called experts, said that Samoa Joe is the most dominating force in the New Age Wrestling Alliance, but how can he beat that if he had never been the NAWA World Champion? Harry Harris has beaten Samoa Joe before, and this Sunday, he’ll beat him again.
September 9th 2007, the NAWA World Championship is on the line when Harry Harris defends against Samoa Joe.
The Motor City Machine Guns and Miles Stylish vs. The Briscoe Brothers and Jerry Lynn:
Two huge matches are talked about tonight, as the fatal four way NAWA World Tag Team Title match is discussed, along with Miles Stylish and Jerry Lynn in a grudge match. This was a wild six man tag team match, with all of the teams trying to outdo the other. Lynn catches Shelley, hitting the tornado DDT for the pin.
The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) and Jerry Lynn defeated The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) and Miles Stylish when J. Lynn pinned A. Shelley after a tornado DDT in 0:15:16. Rating: **** ¼
Jerry Lynn locks eyes with Miles Stylish and Stylish returns fire, looking at him. These two men have had wars on and off for the past two years and they will be facing one more time at WrestleClash VI.
We see the domination of Awesome Kong over the past nine months as the NAWA Women’s Champion. We see Mia Stylish fighting her way off. Finally, one on one, once again, she’s going to get her return match. It is Mia Stylish against Awesome Kong September 9th at WrestleClash VI.
We see the Gambler’s valiant effort against Kurt Angle at Wildfire 2007, until he blacked out from the Ankle Lock. He walked out underneath his own power and Kurt Angle, due his NAWA World Title shot being post poned, had an open challenge. The Gambler accepted that challenge and it will be Kurt Angle trying to get another NAWA World Title shot in addition to the title shot still owed for him by winning the Gold Rush Tournament taking on the Gambler where the winner is the number one contender for the NAWA World Title after WrestleClash.
The Rottweilers have dominated the tag team scene for months now but three teams have chased them, that being the Briscoe Brothers, the Motor City Machine Guns, and Team 3D. All four of those teams compete for the gold in a fatal four way elimination tag team match, which could get ugly. The Rottweilers have held the gold for almost a year, they’re going to have to beat three other teams to accomplish their victory.
Christopher Daniels is the only man in the history of the New Age Wrestling Alliance to win every single championship that the company has to offer that he was eligible for. He went down to a freak knee injury and then was attacked by Ron Killings to further aggravate. Now the Fallen Angel is back and he’s on the hunt to take down the Director of Talent Relations in the New Age Wrestling Alliance. Christopher Daniels wrestles his first match in nearly nine months taking on Ron Killings.
AJ Styles and Mia Stylish(w/Christopher Daniels) vs. Awesome Kong and Ron Killings (w/Necro Butcher).
We see last week where AJ Styles was attacked in the back by Necro Butcher and the announcers state that Necro Butcher has challenged anyone in the company to face him in his own match at WrestleClash. AJ Styles has accepted that challenge, since Abyss will be on the shelf for five months thanks to the injuries inflicted by the Butcher. Some moments of interaction between Kong and Stylish. Necro Butcher throws Styles into the steps on the floor and throws him in, which allows Killings to hit the ax kick for the pin.
Awesome Kong and Ron Killings defeated Mia Stylish and AJ Styles when Killings pinned Styles after an ax kick in 0:18:27. Rating: *** ½
Necro Butcher enters the ring, wielding a Singapore cane and he waffles Stylish over the back with it, showing that he doesn’t discriminate against anyone. Kong hits Stylish with a huge power bomb, taking her down. Daniels enters the ring and he blocks the Singapore cane shot but Killings delivers a chop block to the injured knee of Daniels! The crowd goes into a hush and Killings the knee back, cranking on a kneebar! AJ Styles tries to make the save, dodging a Singapore Cane shot by Necro Butcher, and he nails him with the Pele Kick, knocking him to the outside. The Butcher tries to enter the ring but security is out. Daniels and Stylish are both licking their wounds and Styles isn’t much better off either, having caught the Necro Butcher with a lucky shot. Necro Butcher against AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels against Ron Killings, and Mia Stylish takes on Awesome Kong for the NAWA Women’s Title.
It all started with a bet that Richard Ramos Ricardo, NAWA Commissioner made, that if Shawn Stasiak won a match on Pay Per View, he would pay Candace Sweet a million dollars. Sederick Skyhawk disagreed, saying that his manager’s attention was being split the wrong way. As a result, Sederick Skyhawk takes on Shawn Stasiak as part of WrestleClash VI but there will be a twist involved. Tomko, whose loyalty is only to the top bidder, will be in there to make this a three way elimination match. Will Tomko assist one or both in winning or will he take the win all for himself?
Bryan Danielson returned after over six months on the shelf with a torn biceps and set his sights on the NAWA Television Championship. He won the belt but his next test comes in the form of Austin Starr. Starr has been on a roll since reinventing himself under that name and is braced to capture the NAWA Television Title. This could get interesting.
Christian Cage returned after a year on the shelf and picked up right where he started, winning the NAWA International Championship. After defending the belt, Nigel McGuinness positioned himself as the number one contender, feeling that he’s been overlooked. It will be Christian against McGuiness for the NAWA International Title at WrestleClash VI.
Team 3D and the Gambler take on The NAWA World Tag Team Champions the Rottweilers and Kurt Angle in six man tag team match.
There we have it, the final match before the main event at WrestleClash VI. The Gambler takes on Kurt Angle and Team 3D join the Rottweilers, along with the Motor City Machine Guns and the Briscoe Brothers. Angle batters the Gambler but the Gambler fights back. Then Devon is trapped in the corner but fights out. Brother Ray makes the tag and runs wild, destroying everyone in his path. He hits a huge running avalanche to Angle and pulls out a full nelson atomic drop for a two and nine tenths count.
Eventually, the brawl spills out between Team 3D and the Rottweilers, which leaves the Gambler in the ring with Kurt Angle. Angle pulls out the Triple German Suplex and goes up top but moonsault hits the knees. The Gambler goes for a spear but Angle knees him in the face and pulls off a swift snap double underhook suplex. Ankle Lock but the Gambler kicks Angle into the corner and huge spinebuster brings him down. The Gambler climbs up to the top rope, going for the Roulette Spin but Angle pops up and super Angle Slam gets the pin on the Gambler.
Kurt Angle, Low Ki and Homicide defeated Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) and The Gambler when K. Angle pinned Gambler after a top-rope Angle Slam in 0:17:23. Rating: *** ¾
Angle and the Gambler fight for the number one contendership for the NAWA World Championship after WrestleClash VI but Angle managed to gain a psychological victory over the Gambler tonight.
We see the man who will challenge for the NAWA World Champion Harry Harris, Samoa Joe make his way down to the win. Joe says that once again last week, Harry Harris pinned him in the center of the ring, and once again it was under dubious circumstances. Joe says that he’s been thinking about it for seven days, and he can’t help but admit that Harris might have a point, that he’s been letting one loss almost nine months ago get to him.
Joe says that people say that Harris is the best at what he does and the fact is he has beaten a list of NAWA alumni over the past six years. And Joe knows that and Joe is going to go in there against a man who many of called the greatest World Champion in this era.
Out comes Harry Harris from the back, the NAWA World Title belt draped over his shoulder. Harris slides into the ring and tells Joe that he’s not telling Harris anything that he already knew. The fact of the matter was, for two years, Samoa Joe defeated everyone in his path but at StarClash 2006, Harris shattered that curtain of immortality. Joe is not a monster, he’s a man.
Harris states that Joe hasn’t had to come back from what he’s come back from but this Sunday, Joe’s the one with everything to lose. If he can’t beat Harris this time, then he might as well just walk away. Joe looks Harris in the eyes and said that for nine months he replayed that one moment in time in his head, the moment that Harris ended his undefeated streak. He watched as Harris slayed challenger after challenger that was put up towards him to keep the NAWA World Title.
Joe stares Harris down and says that this Sunday, there’s no more talk, only action. Harris agrees and says that two men are going to walk into the ring, going after the same thing, to be the best. One man walks out with the gold and the other man walks out a broken man. The two men continued their intense staredown, burning a hole through each other and Harris tells Joe to take a nice good long look at the belt, because the next time he sees it, he’s going to be looking up from the mat, as the announcer declares that Harry Harris is the winner of this match and still the NAWA World Champion.
It is that one minute, Harris states, that Joe will realize that he did his best in the ring, but doing your best is only a consolation prize for a loser and Joe will realize that his best was not good enough to defeat the cornerstone, the franchise, the man who built this company on his back. Joe refuses to respond, instead he reaches forward and places one hand on the NAWA World Title Belt. “See this, kiss it goodbye, along with your ass, when I choke you out like a bitch this Sunday.” With those cutting words, Joe leaves the ring, leaving the NAWA World Champion standing in the ring. Harris holds the belt over his head.
Two men step in, but only one man will walk out with the belt and the other….well he may not even walk out at all. WrestleClash VI this Sunday, Samoa Joe/Harry Harris II, this time for the NAWA World Title.

Tonight the New Age Wrestling Alliance returns to Pay Per View for six championship matches. The main event though is the big long awaited NAWA World Championship match between Harry Harris and Samoa Joe. Starr gets into a striking battle with Danielson but that doesn’t end well for him. A series of thigh kicks sets up Starr for a buzzsaw kick but Starr goes to the floor, trying to stall things. Danielson beats on Starr when he is back in the ring but the head is ducked and Starr hits a vicious uppercut. Spinning leg lariat and now Starr throws Danielson into the corner. Forward rolling corner clothesline, and Starr pulls out a gutwrench suplex. Starr works over the ribs of Danielson, preparing him for the 450 Splash. A huge running knee strike to the head gets a two count and Danielson sets up Starr but Starr with a go behind. Off the ropes and a Death Valley Bomb drills Danielson down for a two count.
Going up to the top rope but Danielson pops up and hits a Yakuza Kick to the head! Danielson pulls Starr up and hits a dragon suplex for the bridge for the pin.
Bryan Danielson pinned Austin Starr after a dragon suplex in 0:12:49. Rating: **** 1/4 (Bryan Danielson retained the NAWA Television Title.)
Danielson favors his ribs, holding the side. He’s retained the Television Championship tonight at WrestleClash VI.
Christopher Daniels vs. Ron Killings.
Daniels returns from his knee injury and Killings picks it apart right at the bell, hitting a sliding kick to the leg and a dragon screw legwhip. Daniels fights out with a series of elbow strikes and spin kicks him down. The leg is favored and Killings hits a chop block, setting up a vertical facebuster for a two count. Killings goes up to the rope but misses a somersault elbow drop off the ropes. Killings favors his elbow and Daniels grabs the arms, and hits the Angel’s Wings. Three slaps of the mat later and Daniels wins his comeback match.
Christopher Daniels pinned Ron Killings with the Angel’s Wings in 0:05:37. Rating: *** ¾
We take a look at the NAWA Cruiserweight Title Belt, with the tense friendship between Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs, a failed attempt to win the NAWA World Tag Team Titles, and Jacobs pinning AJ Styles to become the number one contender. Lacey took a dive after Black bumped into her and now Jacobs looks ready to fight, thanks to the manipulations of a woman.
NAWA Cruiserweight Championship Match: Jimmy Jacobs(w/Lacey) vs Tyler Black©
Both men shake hands and then exchange some high flying moves. A back and forth exchange ends, with Black arm dragging Jacobs three times in succession and sending him to the floor. Springboard into the ring but Jacobs takes him out with a dropkick. Jacobs works over Black, keeping him grounded. Jacobs covers but once again Black kicks out! Jacobs throw Black into the ropes. Black slides underneath the legs, and grabs Jacobs’ arms, with a surfboard, hitting a modified curb stomp. Tyler Black pinned Jimmy Jacobs after the Curb Stomp in 0:13:35. Rating: *** (Tyler Black retained the NAWA Cruiserweight Title.)
Black helps Jacobs up off of the mat and he offers the handshake and Lacey yells at him not to do it. Jacobs grabs Black’s tensely and shakes it. Lacey screams that he’s a loser, but Jacobs is eying the Cruiserweight Belt longingly when Black holds it up over his head.
Look at Christian and Nigel McGuinness for the NAWA International Title, with Christian returning from his neck injury and working his way back up the rankings, but eventually McGuiness gets in position for a title shot.
NAWA International Championship Match: Nigel McGuiness vs. Christian Cage©
McGuinness works a slow based mat game, focusing the brunt of his offense on Christian’s neck, which put him on the shelf for a year. McGuinness works the head with a headlock, facelocks, and elbow smashes to the head. Christian fires back with short bursts of offense, but McGuiness takes him down and works the neck some more. McGuinness pulls out a figure four headscissors for an extended period of time and the fans are getting restless, trying to rally behind Christian. Christian breaks out of the headscissors and hits a series of chops to him. Running kneelift in the corner and Christian tries to pull out a tornado DDT. Lariat is ducked and Christian rolls up McGuinness for a two count.
McGuiness applies a sleeperhold, wrenching on the neck of Christian. The fans are getting restless and McGuiness uses the ropes for leverage, with Christian fighting out of the hold. Belly to back suplex is avoided with McGuiness turning into a side head crank. McGuiness kick Christian into the ropes but Christian comes back with an European Uppercut. Christian picks up McGuiness and hits a reverse DDT for a two count. Christian goes up top but McGuiness punches him in the stomach when he comes off the top rope. McGuiness snaps his way back and hits an explosive Jawbreaker Lariat to score the pin.
Nigel McGuinness pinned Christian with the Jawbreaker Lariat in 0:10:08. Rating: ** 3/4 (Nigel McGuinness won the NAWA International Title.)
McGuiness taunts the fans about their hero, and picks up the International Championship Belt, holding it over the fallen and battered body of Christian. The arrogant Englishman now has gold, after a tremendous win loss record throughout the year.
AJ Styles vs. Necro Butcher
Styles hits a suicide dive right at the bell, and beats on the Necro Butcher, but the Butcher catches him with a belly to belly suplex onto the padded mats on the outside. Butcher now throws Styles around the ring several times and bites his forehead. Styles staggers to his feet and Butcher hits a running kick to the head. The Butcher climbs to the outside and hits a diving kneedrop to the throat. Butcher refuses to go for the pin, picking up Styles and crotching him on the top rope. Running headbutt busts the nose of AJ Styles open and he falls to the floor. Necro Butcher grabs Styles by the throat as he gets on the floor and pulls him hard into the post several times. Butcher rolls Styles back into the ring and hits a crushing senton back splash for the pin and the win!
No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Necro Butcher pinned AJ Styles after a flying somersault senton in 0:09:18. Rating: ** ¾
Say what you want, but AJ Styles is no fly by night opponent and Necro Butcher massacred him in a matter of minutes. Butcher leaves the ring and pulls out two chairs, throwing them underneath the ring and hurls a wooden board that has barbed wire wrapped around it. Butcher sets up this devastating contraption up but security swarms the ring to prevent him from putting him through it. Butcher has to be swarmed by security and pushed to the ring. The announces speculate that AJ Styles has been saved from a grisly, grisly fate.
The next highlight package gets the history between the Gambler and Kurt Angle. At Wildfire, Kurt Angle made the Gambler submit to the Ankle Lock after a hard fought bout but the Gambler was allowed a standing ovation. Angle won the Gold Rush Tournament and is still owed an NAWA World Title Shot from that but Samoa Joe beat Angle to get a match with Harry Harris and that match will be for the NAWA World Title. In the meantime, Angle and Gambler will fight in a number one contenders match, where Angle will get another title shot on top of the one he’s already earned, so he’ll be the number one contender two times over.
The Gambler vs. Kurt Angle.
The announcers talk about how this is the Gambler’s final chance to gain a big ground breaking win, for he’s in the twilight of his career and Kurt Angle might be in the prime of his. The Gambler doesn’t fall for an exchange of chain wrestling with Kurt Angle, instead opting to punch him in the face, learning his lesson from all of the other times. The Gambler punches away at Angle and hurls him into the ropes. Angle catches him with a running kneelift in the corner and overhead belly to belly suplex gets a two count. The Gambler is rolled over and Angle keeps him on the mat but the Gambler fights out with a series of elbow strikes and hits a leaping clothesline sending Angle to the floor. Angle is thrown into the ring and the Gambler enters the ring, throwing Angle into the corner hard. The Gambler pulls out a spine buster and covers Angle for a two count. The Gambler fires back with a series of elbow strikes and into the corner. Angle stops the Gambler’s momentum cold with a boot and goes behind. Three German Suplexes in succession and Angle goes up top. Moonsault hits the knees and Angle is winded, with the Gambler hitting a DDT, before covering and getting a two count. The Gambler goes to the top rope but Angle catches him with a forearm smash while he is on the top rope. He hammers away at the Gambler and runs up, going for the pop up superplex but the Gambler shoves in off the ropes. Roulette Spin knocks Angle down and Gambler covers but a two and nine tenths count!
The Gambler can’t put him away, and he goes for a spear but Angle catches the ankle and rolls through with the Ankle Lock. The Gambler is trying to fight out of this hold and he rolls out, with Angle bouncing off of the ropes. Angle delivers a leg scissors and once again rolls into the Ankle Lock once again, this time adding the heel hook but the Gambler is thankfully close enough to the ropes where he only has the hold in on him for a few seconds. Angle reaches down, but the Gambler pulls him to the outside! Both men go down to the floor and it looks like there might be a double countout but Gambler beats the count and Angle goes back into the ring. SPEAR NAILS ANGLE! The Gambler covers Angle for a two and a half count! Once again, the Gambler hits one of his biggest moves but he can’t put Angle away. The Gambler whips Angle into the corner. Charging in but Angle moves and Angle Slam takes down the Gambler. Cover but Gambler brings the shoulder up once again!
Angle climbs to the top rope once again but this time, it’s the Gambler who runs up the ropes. Trying for a superplex but Angle blocks it and shoves the Gambler off the ropes. Angle goes for a springboard dive but the Gambler spears him off of the ropes, taking him down. Another cover and another two and nine tenths count. The Gambler sets him up, going for the Lucky Seven but Angle grabs the ankle on the way down before Gambler drives him onto his head and rolls him into the Ankle Lock! The ankle is grabbed on and Angle holds onto it like a pitbull but the Gambler is on his back, kicking away at Angle. Angle bounces off the ropes and going for the Angle Slam but the Gambler rolls into the sunset flip to score a flash pin!
The Gambler pinned Kurt Angle after a sunset flip in 0:15:40. Rating: *** 1/4
The Gambler has done it tonight on Pay Per View, he has just defeated the wrestler, with wrestling. Kurt Angle is sitting in the center of the ring, with his mouth wide open and he pulls himself to his feet. The Gambler and Angle lock eyes onto each other and it’s obvious that both of them are trying to figure out the intentions of the other. Eventually, Angle extends his hand to the Gambler and the Gambler pauses. Both men shake hands, a token of respect from both men.
NAWA World Tag Team Titles Fatal Four Way Elimination Match: The Briscoe Brothers vs. the Motor City Machine Guns vs. Team 3D vs. The Rottweilers©
We have a huge brawl to start off, with the Briscoes hitting stereo types onto the Rottweilers during the start of this match and the Motor City Machine Guns pulling out flip dives. Then the Guns and the Briscoes renew their rivalry in the center of the ring, beating on each other. Sabin and Shelley hit a sunset flip/leg lariat combination, nearly putting down Jay Briscoe for a two count.
