I used to genuinely love TNM about 20 years ago and was delighted to discover that it's still operating. I would love to use it again, but my modern tech (iphone, iPad) seems incompatible with the program. I was wondering if anyone could suggest or tell me what would be like the cheapest thing I could get that could easily run TNM7 (whether it's a notebook or laptop or whatever). The device would likely be used only for that, almost treating it like a gameboy. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

TNM7 doesn't run on any smartphone/table devices and never will. But it will run on pretty much any Windows PC.

Right that's what I knew, so I didn't know if anyone could suggest a very cheap Windows PC device that has worked for them. Also, I'll probably buy an old one so is there a recommended version of Windows that is ideal?

Any x86 machine from the last five years that isn't Celeron-based and doesn't run Windows 10 Starter Edition will do. Older Celeron processors are super slow so you wouldn't have much joy, and Windows 10 Starter Edition won't let you run any code that didn't come from the Microsoft Store.

Its not the cheapest thing on the market, but I bought a Microsoft surface just for TNM. I'm using it as my everyday laptop, but the purpose was to be able to run TNM. It's working great.
