Good Day all.
I have decided to start a new circuit. I have been involved with TNM for a long time, I was a member on the old lists and such and have been in and out of it but I wanted to run a retro-circuit from 1989 on, just after WM V.
I will be running a weekly Superstars and Saturday Night Main Events when I deem neccessary likely every two months.
For those who don't remember I will post the WM V results.
I plan on using the roster at WM V for starting point and bringing in guys who were brought in and then also bringining in different times.
I will use the contracts in TNM so if someone doesn't want to re-sign then I won't have them until i try to re-sign which I likely wouldn't for a year.
Enjoy!
Title History as of July 8th, 1989
WWF World Heavyweight Championship 1. Hulk Hogan - 4/2/1989 - present
WWF Intercontinental Championship 1. Rick Rude: 4/2/1989 - 7/8/1989 (97 days) 2. Jimmy Snuka: 7/8/1989

WWF Superstars April 8th, 1989
[The opening segment of WWF Superstars includes the recap of Wrestlemania V. Hulk Hogan was crowned the new WWF World Heavyweight Champion ending the year long reign of Randy Savage. Also Rick Rude is shown winning the Intercontinental Title with help from Bobby Heenan and finally Big John Studd dqing Andre the Giant]
We open up the show with the Brother Love show and his guest was ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude, who was wearing his Intercontinental Title around his waist and was followed by Bobby Heenan. Heenan and Brother Love were quick to praise Rude on his win, clearly forgetting the part about the outside interference. Rude finally went on to say that now he has bigger goals and that is the current World Champion. He stated that he is now the number 1 contender as he holds the Intercontinental Title and tells Hogan his days are numbered.
Mr. Perfect pinned Sam Fullarton with the Perfect Plex in 0:05:32. Rating: * ¾ Comments: Mr. Perfect came out for the opening contest and basically toyed with Sam Fullarton in the match. Perfect hit a perfect dropkick before hitting his patented Perfect Plex for the win. I don’t think he broke a sweat.
Dino Bravo pinned Terry Taylor with the Side Suplex in 0:13:02. Rating: 3/4* [Mr. Perfect interfered against Terry Taylor.] Comments: Bravo got out in the early going against Taylor using his power and size with a couple of clotheslines and suplexes as Frenchy Martin looked on. Taylor fights back using some quickness and dropkicks. Taylor worked the crowd into a frenzy and then Mr. Perfect made his way down to the ring. What is he doing down here? Taylor continues to attack Bravo until Frenchy Martin gets on the apron and distracts the official, this allows Mr. Perfect to get onto the apron and hit Taylor as he runs off the ropes, that allows Bravo to kick Taylor in the midsection and then hit his side suplex for the win! Mr. Perfect cost Taylor the victory! I wonder what that is all about.
Backstage, Koko B. Ware is standing by with Mean Gene Okerland, and he begins to discuss his upcoming match with Randy ‘Macho Man’ Savage when out of nowhere, Savage comes flying at Koko with a double axehandle to the back of the head. He quickly tosses him into the wall and then piledrives him on the ground! Savage is yelling and ranting like a lunatic as the officials break it up! Losing the title must have really got to Savage.
Rick Martel made Apollo Beckerman submit to a Boston crab in 0:06:47. Rating: *** ¼ Comments: Rick Martel made quick work of Apollo here and the crowd was booing him tremendously after his actions at WMV. He finishes Apollo off with the Boston Crab.
Mean Gene is standing by with the new World Heavyweight Champion, Hulk Hogan. Hogan goes into his comments thanking the fans for all their support. He then talks about Rick Rude, saying that he is lucky to have defeated the Warrior and needed some help but goes on to mention that if Rude wants a title shot, then all he has to do is come ask me face to face, because whatcha gonna do Rude when Hulk Hogan runs wild on you.
Before we go to break we learn that Koko B. Ware is gone to the hospital and Marty Jannetty has agreed to take his place against Savage!
Randy Savage pinned Marty Jannetty with the Flying Elbowdrop in 0:07:05. Rating: ** 1/4 (Koko B. Ware no-showed.) Comments: Savage came to the ring with a crazed look in his eyes and he immediately went after Jannetty with a viciousness that we have never seen. It was all Savage and he finished him off with the flying elbowdrop.
After the match, Savage wasn’t done. He slide outside and grabbed the ring bell and he clobbered Jannetty and when the official tried to stop him he nailed him too! Savage then tossed Jannetty to the outside and lifted up the padding and piledrived Jannetty to the ground! WWF Officials swarmed the ring to get Savage to stop. He’s a mad man!
Backstage Tito Santana discussed Rick Martel leaving him at Wrestlemania V. Tito went on to say that he wants Rick Martel next week!
Raymond Rougeau defeated Ax by countout in 0:04:43. Rating: * [Jacques Rougeau interfered against Ax.] Comments: The main event featured ½ of the Tag Team Champions Ax taking on Raymond Rougeau. Rougeau was getting dominated until his brother came to ringside and attacked Ax on the outside leading to the countout. Luckily for Ax before any more damage could be done, Smash ran out from the back and chased The Rougeaus off!

Gotta say, I really enjoyed reading this. I like some of the feuds you are going with. It would have been interesting to see Rude immediately challenge Hogan for the title after WMV. Definitely not someting I would have predicted seeing.
Savage going insane is great too. I wonder where Shawn Michaels was? You'd think he'd try and help his partner out a bit.
You definitely have a reader.

Glad to see another retro circuit hit the boards. An interesting time period to pick too, as with WWF/E circuits, most people seem to choose 1993. This should be a good read.
Rude as the first challenger for Hogan's second title reign. Don't think he's going to take it, but nice to see him get a trip in the main event.
Will be reading.

A little interesting that you let Wrestlemania 5 stand as is with no changes.
Crazy!Savage is always good.
Hogan-Rude fued never happened in real life, right? Seems like a good one as Hogan was such a mega-face and Rude was such a smarmy, cocky bastard.

WWF Superstars April 15th, 1989
[The opening shows a quick recap of Randy Savage brutal assaults on Koko B. Ware in the back and Marty Jannetty after his victory.]
Haku pinned Aaron Gulliver after a savate kick in 0:04:14. Rating: -* ¼ Comments: Heenan Family member Haku made short work in this match winning via a brutal savate kick.
After the commercial break the Heenan Family of Bobby Heenan, Rick Rude, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard and Haku (only Andre the Giant is missing) and Heenan is glowing about Rick Rude and what a glorious day it will be when he becomes World Champion. Rude insults the crowd with his usual comments and states that there is bigger news at this moment and that is that Arn Anderson will face Hulk Hogan in a non-title match next week! The crowd pops huge for Hogan.
Shawn Michaels pinned Barry Horowitz after a flying elbowdrop in 0:04:49. Rating: ** Comments: During the match, the voice over with Shawn Michaels is shown as he talks about his partner Marty Jannetty being out of action for awhile with a injured neck. He makes a promise to make Savage pay. Michaels makes short work of Barry Horowitz and maybe with a shot at Savage finishing Horowitz off with the flying elbowdrop.
Randy Savage vignette is next and he describes who great it felt to injure Jannetty and how he will stop at nothing to regain his World Title. He tells Shawn he needs to be careful what he asks for because when the madness begins, there is nothing Michaels can do except be put on the shelf. The vignette closes with Savage staring into the camera with rage.
Ted DiBiase defeated Ron Garvin by countout in 0:04:47. Rating: * 1/4 [Virgil interfered against Ron Garvin.] Comments: Virgil made himself known by interfering in the match and actually forcing Garvin to chase him off, but also that got him counted out.
Hulk Hogan was in the back with Mean Gene and he was welcoming the challenge of Arn Anderson next week and whatcha gonna do Arn when those 24 inch pythons run wide on you.
Jake Roberts pinned Brooklyn Brawler with the DDT in 0:05:05. Rating: ** Comments: All Roberts.
Tito Santana defeated Rick Martel by countout in 0:11:52. Rating: * ½ Comments: In a battle of former teammates it was Tito Santana getting the victory, but it was not as sweet as he had hoped. Santana hit a huge flying forearm that sent Martel to the outside, but after that Martel left the ring area wanted nothing more with Santana. This is definitely far from over.
The show ends hyping up next week with Hulk Hogan doing battle with Arn Anderson, The Ultimate Warrior in action against Greg Valentine and Randy Savage will also be in action.

Hogan-Rude fued never happened in real life, right? Seems like a good one as Hogan was such a mega-face and Rude was such a smarmy, cocky bastard. I don't think so. In my opinion there were a lot of good heels at this time, Rude, Perfect, Savage, Ted DiBiase who would be better runs at Hogan instead of Zeus, Earthquake lol.

WWF Superstars April 22nd, 1989
The show opens with a quick run down of last week especially with Hulk Hogan and Arn Anderson to fight in a non-title match tonight as well as a recap of Randy Savage injuring Marty Jannetty and Koko B. Ware and Shawn Michaels calling out Savage.
The Twin Towers (Akeem and Big Boss Man) defeated Chris Fell and Damion Marshall when Akeem pinned D. Marshall with the Air Africa in 0:05:38. Rating: DUD Comments: The Twin Towers had the definite size and strength advantage against Fell and Marshall. This was no match as they were able to make quick work as Akeem hit the Air Africa. After a win over the Rockers at WMV, The Towers could be looking at a title shot.
Ted DiBiase w/Virgil were on the Brother Love show and The Million Dollar Man was discussing his double countout against Beefcake at WMV. DiBiase stated that this is not over by a long shot and said that Beefcake better watch his back.
Randy Savage pinned Sam Fullarton after a piledriver in 0:05:15. Rating: * Comments: The ultra violent, crazed Randy Savage was all over Sam and did not allow him to do anything as he continually pounded Fullarton and the referee kept have to pull him off as he was not listening to the referee. Instead of finishing him off with the Flying Elbowdrop he dropped Sam right on his head with a piledriver! But he wasn’t done, he goes for another one and hits it and Sam is motionless and Savage gets the 1-2-3.
After the match Savage continues to pound away on Sam as the referee tries to get him to stop and gets shoved to the mat. Savage tosses Sam to the outside and lifts up the mat and piledrives him onto the concrete! Sam is motionless as Savage stares wide eyed at Sam. WWF officials flood out including WWF President Jack Tunney and he is yelling at Savage!
Rick Rude is backstage with Mean Gene Okerland and Rude quickly cuts Gene off and shows off his Intercontinental Title belt. He begins talking about taking down one of the kids heroes and now he wants his name in lights and taking down Hulk Hogan. Rude tells Hogan to be careful tonight because his days as champion are numbered.
The Ultimate Warrior defeated Greg Valentine by pinfall in 0:04:36. Rating: 1/2* Comments: The Ultimate Warrior dominates him easily. Big Splash and its over.
After the match, Honky Tonk Man enters the ring and tries to attack the Warrior, but he no sells him and clotheslines him to the outside.
Mr. Perfect is also backstage talking about Terry Taylor about how he fought Bobby Heenan and he called Heenan a friend and that Taylor will need to pay for that, and that is perfect.
The Powers of Pain (The Barbarian and Warlord) defeated The Bushwhackers (Bushwhacker Luke and Bushwhacker Butch) when Warlord made Luke submit to the Full Nelson in 0:04:12. Rating: -* Comments: The Bushwackers were no match for the Powers of Pain and they get back on the winning track.
Hulk Hogan pinned Arn Anderson with the Big Leg Drop in 0:08:59. Rating: *** [Rick Rude interfered against Hulk Hogan.] Comments: Big main event here as Hulk Hogan took on Arn Anderson. Anderson tried to go after his Hogan’s knee and that appears to be his focus. Quickly from the back comes Rick Rude and he is showered with boos. Hogan hulks up and is all over Anderson and then hits the big boot and he runs off the rope and Rude grabs his leg and Hogan stopped and he tried to grabbed Rude and Anderson attacks him from behind but Hogan shrugs it off and then slams Anderson and hits the Big Leg Drop for the win.
Rude slides into the ring and chop blocks Hogan’s knee sending him down to the mat. Rude and Anderson put the boots to him and Tully Blanchard runs out and continues the three on one attack all over the knee of Hogan, and finally out from the back runs the Hart Foundation and they clear the ring and help Hogan up. Hogan is limping noticeably.

I hope you keep the push for the Twin Towers going. Man, I use to hate those guys as a kid, but I'm such a mark for them now.
Interesting to see if Hogan's leg injury comes into play in his future matches. I'm assuming thiat his match with Anderson was non-title?
Savage continues to be all crazy and stuff. Shawn Michaels really isn't a challenge for him at this point, and since Hogan will be busy with Rude, I'm not really sure who Savages feuds with. Maybe Warrior?

I guess Tnm doesn't put that in the header anymore? Savage is a tough one at the moment as there are not too many top notch faces. I have some plans for him, we will see how they play out.

WWF Superstars April 29th, 1989
The show opens with a rundown of last week’s main event and the win by Hulk Hogan and the attacks on his knee and the Heenan Family beatdown and The Hart Foundation save. Also show Savages’s brutal attack on Sam Fullarton and Jack Tunney yelling at him.
Smash pinned Raymond Rougeau with the Backbreaker in 0:14:49. Rating: ** ½ Comments: We open up with Smash (1/2 of World Tag Team Champions) taking on Raymond Rougeau. Both men had their partners in there corner to prevent any kind of funny business. Smash really was looking good in the early going. Unfortunately for Smash, Jacques was able to interject himself by getting on the apron while Smash was going for a pin. Ax came over and him and Jacques began to fight distracting the official. Jimmy Hart tossed in one of the tag team title belts to Raymond, but Smash ducked the attempt to hit him and kicked him in the ribs and hit the backbreaker. After the match Demolition fought off the Rougeaus who scurried to the back!
The Brother Love Show welcomes Hulk Hogan! Hulk Hogan is noticeably limping after being attacked after his match with Arn Anderson. Hulk comes out and wants to bring the Hart Foundation out! Crowd pops. Hogan goes onto challenge Rick Rude, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard to a six man tag team match at Saturday Night’s Main Event! Hogan asks the Hitman to speak. Bret said that next week he was informed he will take on Rick Rude for the Intercontinental Title! (this can’t make Rude happy) and that he will be excellently executed. Jim gets on the horn and tells Arn Anderson that tonight he will run him over. Hogan finishes it off with a whatcha gonna do brother when Hulk Hogan and the Hart Foundation run wild on you!
Bad News Brown pinned Aaron Gulliver with the Ghetto Blaster in 0:04:37. Rating: -* ½ Comments: Bad News Brown was as vicious as ever in dismantling Aaron Gulliver! A ghetto blaster and he wins.
Randy Savage is backstage in a dark room. He begins about talking about Sam Fullarton, who he mentions may never wrestle again, to which he laughs. He was a victim in the path of destruction the Macho Madness if you will. He warns Jack Tunney that he better not get in his way because he will suffer the same fate as Koko, Marty and Sammy. The vignette ends with the camera focusing on the deranged face of Randy Savage.
Randy Savage pinned Chris Fell after a piledriver in 0:05:10. Rating: 1/2* Comments: Savage walked to the ring with his fists fully taped up and clearly this is to increase the pain of his opponents. He quickly whips Fell into the corner and slams into him with a huge elbow. He then punches him ten times before the official can break it up. Savage is a beast. He continues to pound the youngster until he hits a piledriver in the centre of the ring for the victory.
Savage doesn’t appear down as it looks like he was about to leave the ring he runs back into the ring and pounds away on Fell. He then tosses him to the outside! Hopefully he is not planning the same fate as Sam! He lifts the mat up and grabs Fell and we see Shawn Michaels run from the back! The crowd pops huge and as Savage is going for the piledriver, Michaels gets there in time and superkicks Savage to the feet knocking him down so he can’t complete the piledriver! Michaels then jumps on him and throws some punches getting some revenge and then the WWF officials run out and break it up as we go to commercial.
Dino Bravo pinned The Blue Blazer with the Side Suplex in 0:04:57. Rating: ** Comments: Dino Bravo made short work of the high flyer. He used a variety of power moves to ensure that he kept the Blazer grounded. He finished him off with the Side Suplex.
Terry Taylor is in the back and he tells Mr. Perfect that he isn’t as perfect as everyone says and he will set out to prove it. Taylor challenges him to a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event and he will show him who the better man is.
Jim Neidhart and Arn Anderson battled to a double disqualification in 0:07:56. Rating: **** 1/4 [Bret Hart interfered against Arn Anderson.] [Tully Blanchard interfered against Jim Neidhart.] Comments: Two bulls doing battle in the ring and both men really went after each other. As one might have expected Tully Blanchard tried to get involved and that led Bret Hart to get involved and the match ended up getting tossed out.
Rick Rude and Haku came out to join the fray before Hulk Hogan and Jim Duggan come out to even the odds. Hogan gets a few shots in on Rude sending him gone!
The show closes with the faces in the ring. And we learn just before we go off the air that WWF President Jack Tunney will address Randy Savage next week!
Below is the signed matches for SNME

WWF Superstars Date: May 6th, 1989
Rick Rude pinned Bret Hart with the Rude Awakening in 0:10:23. Rating: *** 1/2 (Rick Rude retained the Intercontinental Championship.) [Arn Anderson interfered against Bret Hart.] Comments: The opening bout on Superstars was a dandy as Bret Hart got a shot at Rick Rude and his intercontinental title. Bobby Heenan, Arn Anderson and Jim Neidhart were all at ringside so you know that the referee would have his hands full. Definately a solid match between two good wrestlers. Rude controlled the pace against the primarily tag team wrestler. The moment turned after Rude went to the second rope and missed a splash. Hart was able to control the action hitting a big back breaker and then hit an elbow from the second turnbuckle for a near fall. Hart then hit a snap suplex and Arn Anderson, sensing trouble for the champion got on the apron and Hart saw him and knocked him down. Unfortunately for Hart Rude recovered and kicked him in the midsection and then Rude Awakening! It was academic from there as Rude gets the win.
We come back from commercial break and Mean Gene Okerland is in the ring with WWF President Jack Tunney who gets a nice ovation from the crowd. Mean Gene asks Mr. Tunney to get right to the matter at hand (Randy Savage). Jack Tunney first begins to praise Randy as an athlete and a wrestler and was a great World champion. However ever since Wrestlemania he describes Savage as unstable, out of line and dangerous in the ring and out of it. He states Savage will need to change his ways or he won’t be in WWF much longer. And with that this brings Randy Savage out from the back. Savage is pacing in the ring and gets his own microphone. He talks about how at Wrestlemania he lost the World Title and says nothing will stop him from getting it back. He says that Tunney can end it if he gives him a title shot. Tunney states while he is a deserving challenger, his actions are inexcusable and he does not warrant a title shot. This enrages Savage as he gets real close to Tunney. He says that Koko, Marty and Sam are his first victims in his path of destruction, and that Tunney could be his next victim. Tunney says that Savage is walking a fine line that he doesn’t want to cross, but he states that he will book Randy Savage in a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event against Shawn Michaels! Savage looks disturbed and he says he will not be responsible for his actions that night. He then shoves Tunney back to the ground! Savage turns and walks away.
The Rougeau Brothers (Jacques Rougeau and Raymond Rougeau) defeated Barry Horowitz and Brooklyn Brawler when J. Rougeau pinned Horowitz after the Bombe de Rougeau in 0:01:24. Rating: **
Backstage we are treated to the World Tag Team Champions, Ax and Smash of Demolition! They are in the back and they quickly get to the point in regards to the Rougeau Brothers and they challenge them to a title match at Saturday Night’s Main Event for the tag team titles.
Jim Duggan pinned Haku with the Three Point Stance in 0:12:43. Rating: -1/2* Comments: This match stemmed from last week when Duggan assisted Hogan and the Harts last week. Both men traded power moves for most of the contest and Duggan was able to take Haku down with the three point stance clothesline for the win.
Brother Love Show had Shawn Michaels as the guest this week. Michaels described the neck injury suffered by Marty Jannetty. He is unsure when he will be able. Michaels then thanks Tunney for what he calls the opportunity of a lifetime to compete against Randy Savage. Michaels knows he is a very tough match but he is confident in his skills. Brother Love warns Michaels, that Savage is more vicious then ever and Shawn says he is not afraid of Savage and he will be the one who walks out of Saturday Night’s Main Event the winner.
Mr. Perfect pinned Apollo Beckerman with the Perfect Plex in 0:05:08. Rating: * ¾ Comments: Mr. Perfect with a perfect win.
Dino Bravo defeated Brutus Beefcake by countout in 0:11:30. Rating: -**** 3/4 [Ted DiBiase interfered against Brutus Beefcake.] Comments: The main event of the evening feature Beefcake taking on Dino Bravo. This match definitely wasn’t for the faint of heart as it definitely lacked technical aspect as Beefcake tried to play the power game with Bravo, who was definitely the stronger man. Ted DiBiase and Virgil come down to heavy boos from the crowd. Dino would toss Beefcake over the top and Virgil and DiBiase attacked and ko’ed him with the Million Dollar Belt! Bravo gets the countout win as DiBiase laughs to the back.

Can't say I envy Shawn Michaels in his match with Randy Savage. I have a feeling that could turn into a blood bath.

WWF Superstars May 13th, 1989
Superstars opens with a quick recap with the Savage/Tunney/Michaels situation including Savage shoving Tunney and the Michaels/Savage match being made. Also they show Rick Rude beating Bret Hart and retaining his Intercontinental Title.
We open up with Rick Rude coming down to the ring by himself and disrobes in the ring and the ladies cheer as Rude has his Intercontinental Title around his waist. He begins to talk about next week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event and how much it will be great when he pins Hulk Hogan! A bold statement for sure and he gets showered with boos. This appears to bother Rude. Rude says that he will pin Hogan next week and then says if the people want a little preview he welcomes Hulk to come out to the ring. With that the Real American plays and Hulk Hogan comes out with his World Title and Rude drops his title in the corner and then tells Hogan to bring it on and Hogan drops his belt on the outside of the ring and slides in and Rude lays the boots to Rude, but Hogan quickly shakes them off and hits right hand after right hand. Hogan is pounding on Rude. Bobby Heenan comes out with Haku and they enter the ring, but Hogan turns around and nails both of them. Rude is able to get out of the ring and grabs both title belts! He runs away with both title belts! Hogan sees this and gives chase! Haku and Heenan are still down.
We come back from commercial and we are told that Hogan is chasing Rude in the back. Back in the ring we are set for action as The Brain Busters and The Hart Foundation are ready for battle.
The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart) defeated The Brain Busters (Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson) when B. Hart defeated Anderson by disqualification in 0:08:14. Rating: 3/4* [Haku interfered against Bret Hart.] Comments: This was the match people wanted to see! Two teams who hate each other and both are worthy title contenders going at it. Neidhart begins with Tully and uses his power to over power him and hits a bit powerslam at one point! During the match we hear an update that Rick Rude left the building and left the title belt outside the arena and Hogan was in pursuit to get it. During the match as the Harts appeared to be taking over, out from the back comes Haku and Andre the Giant! This spells trouble for the Harts, as Haku slides into the ring and attacks Hart causing the DQ!
It appears the Heenan family had a plan as Andre the Giant comes in and chops Neidhart and sends him to the mat as Tully and Haku are laying the boots to Hart! Tully and Arn hold him up as Haku hits a huge savate kick! Andre then hits a two handled chokeslam on Neidhart! Arn Anderson goes for a piledriver and Tully comes off the second rope and his a spike piledriver! The Hart Foundation is out! Bobby Heenan is laughing as The Brain Busters, Haku and Andre hold their arms up happy with what they did.
Jimmy Snuka pinned Ildar Burdinskiy with the Superfly Splash in 0:05:02. Rating: -*** ¾ Comments: Jimmy Snuka made his redebut as it was noted at WM5! Snuka dominated IIdar with kicks and high flying moves. Snuka then is able to fly off with the Supefly Splash! The crowd cheers so loudly!
Mean Gene is standing by with Rhythm’n’Blues. Honky Tonk Man talks about The Ultimate Warrior and how he got the better of Greg Valentine a couple of weeks ago and that will not happen tonight. Honky says that he will shake rattle and roll all over Warrior!
The Ultimate Warrior pinned Honky Tonk Man with the Big Splash in 0:06:36. Rating: 1/4* Comments: Much to Honky’s chargin he really didn’t do much damage to the fan favourite, the Ultimate Warrior. Warrior destroyed Honky! Greg Valentine came in after the match and got clotheslined over the top for his trouble. Honky and Greg regroup and say that this isn’t over.
Rick Martel made Chris Fell submit to a Boston crab in 0:05:27. Rating: *** ¾ Comment: Rick Martel was back in action after leaving his match with Tito Santana a few weeks ago. He looked great against Chris Fell and finished him off with the Boston Crab. During the match Tito Santana spoke and he said that him and Martel are not finished yet.
Randy Savage is on the Brother Love Show and Brother Love seems to be a bit afraid of Savage, and likely rightfully so. Savage said that Tunney is lucky that Michaels got involved because that it would not have ended well for him. Savage discussing Michaels and says that he is too young and too naive to realize what he is in for next week. He tells Marty to get another bed open because Shawn will be joining him soon. Oooooh yeah.
The Twin Towers (Akeem and Big Boss Man) defeated The Young Stallions (Jim Powers and Paul Roma) when Boss Man pinned Powers with the Boss Man Slam in 0:07:02. WWF Saturday Night’s Main Event May 20th, 1989
MAIN EVENT WWF World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan & The Hart Foundation vs. WWF Intercontinental Champion ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude & The Brain Busters w/Bobby Heenan
Ever since winning the WWF Intercontinental Title, Rick Rude has set his sights on Hulk Hogan and his WWF World Heavyweight Title. Hogan, never to back down from a challenge has no problem with that. Since then The Heenan Family has tried everything to injure Hulk by going after his knee and one The Hart Foundation got involved Heenan used Rude as a red herring to get Hogan out of the arena, allowing the Brain Busters, Haku and Andre the Giant destroy the Hart Foundation on the last Superstars. This promised to be a great six man tag match. Can Hogan, Hart and Neidhart overcome the challenge of the Heenan Family? Will Haku and Andre be lurking? Can Rude do what he promised and pin Hulk?
WWF World Tag Team Championship Match Demolition (c) vs. The Rougeau Brothers
After Wrestlemania V, The Rougeau Brothers made it known that they wanted a shot at the champions. Raymond was able to beat Ax via countout on Superstars and before The Rougeaus could do any serious damage Smash made the save. Demolition threw out the challenge for the belts at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage vs. Shawn Michaels
No one was affected more by WMV then Savage. He lost his coveted World Title after holding it for over a year and then descended into madness. Savage put Koko B. Ware, Marty Jannetty and Sam Fullarton on the shelf. Michaels wanted to stick up for his partner and friend and Tunney made this match after Savage threatened Tunney because he did not give him what he wanted, a rematch against Hogan. Savage has vowed to take his anger out on Shawn Michaels.
Mr. Perfect vs. Terry Taylor
In the opening match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Mr. Perfect will attempt to beat the veteran Terry Taylor. After Terry Taylor beat Bobby Heenan at WM5, Mr. Perfect decided that he would teach Taylor a lesson and now they will meet.

Love you giving Shawn Michaels an early singles push. Don't think he's in Macho Man's league yet though but it could be a big step for him Ya, he's not in his league, yet, but the match should be fireworks!

SNME is forming up to be quite the show. Can't say I envy Shawn Michaels in his match with Randy Savage. I have a feeling that could turn into a blood bath. Ya, I can't wait for the show, been looking forward to it for a bit.

Looking forward to SNME. Will be rooting for Shawn Michaels even though he's a heavy underdog against Savage.
I love how these kind of feds can test out the "Butterfly Effect". If Rick Rude get this main event push your giving him now, maybe he doens't leave for WCW, where he doesn't injure his back. He doesn't turn to steroids to help with the pain from the injury and maybe he never passes away so early.

Giong to post some predictions here:
Busters and Rude over Hogan and the Hart Foundation (Rude pins Hogan somehow) Demolition better beat the Rougeau Brothers Savage over Michaels and Perfect over Taylor
That's a lot of heel victories, but it'll build well towards the next supercard (is it SummerSlam or a WrestleFest?).

The Twin Towers (Akeem and Big Boss Man) defeated The Bushwhackers (Bushwhacker Luke and Bushwhacker Butch) when Akeem pinned Butch with the Air Africa in 0:07:24. The Bushwackers did not have a chance and one Air Africa ends it.
Rick Martel is in the back and he has a different outfit on. He also has a Quebec Flag. Barbarian was in charge for most of the match, but Duggan ducked under a big boot and use a few right hands to put The Barbarian down before he was able to hit the three point stance for the win.
Jake Roberts is backstage talking about his match with Bad News Brown tonight in the main event on Superstars. He tells Bad News that the snake is going to rise and beat him tonight.
Brutus Beefcake made Virgil submit to the Sleeper Hold in 0:06:17. Rating: 1/2* Comments: Ted DiBiase sent Virgil in to do his dirty work against Beefcake, unfortunately Virgil does not have the same skill level that Ted DiBiase and Beefcake made short work of Virgil.
