To make a long story short, I'm going to try to book Impact Wrestling realistically but more logical, if that makes any sense. After TNA Slammiversary 2011.
Impact Wrestling 6/16/11
A recap from last Sunday night, with Kurt Angle finally triumphing over Jeff Jarrett to end the feud and keep his gold medal, also becoming the number one contender for the TNA Championship. Speaking of the TNA Championship, Mr. Anderson is your new champion, beating Sting, with a little screwiness involving Eric Bischoff and referee Jackson James. Also Bully Ray managed to beat AJ Styles. Plus Abyss kept the TNA X-Division Title defeating Kazarian and Brian Kendrick, Alex Shelley, standing in for the injured Bobby Roode, and James Storm retaining the TNA Tag Team Ttiles over Douglas Williams and Brutus Magnus in the British Invasion, and Mickie James kept the TNA Knockout's Title over Angelina Love.
We see Abyss standing by backstage, talking about how July 11th will be Destination X. The night that the X-Division will get their own Pay Per View. The night that the X-Division will be leveled to the ground, by Abyss and he will stand over their grisly remains, a conquering victor. Abyss puts over the X-Division for having a lot of heart, but all of the heart in the world won't stop them from getting dismantled and dismembered by the monster Abyss. Sun Tzu said, "can you imagine what I would do, if I could do all I can?" On July 11th, the entire X-Division will find out all that a monster could do, when he does all that he can do to destroy them. He talks about how the winner of the Ultimate X Match or rather whatever is left of them, will get a shot at the X-Division Title on that night. Abyss will conquer them. Abyss will still be the X-Division Champion and he will keep it as a token of victory.
[Number One Contenders Match for the KO Tag Belts]
Mickie James and Tara defeated Angelina Love and Winter when Mickie pinned
Winter after a superkick in 0:06:36.
Rating: * 3/4
We open things wide open with the Knockouts of Impact Wrestling, where the winners take on the Knockout Tag Team Champions, Sarita and Rosita of Mexican America down the road. Mickie James has had her share of problems with Winter and Angelina Love in recent weeks, but with an old rival, now ally, Tara on her side, she does well. Tara gets beaten down for most of this match but Mickie hot tags in and runs wild. Tara wipes out Angelina Love and Mickie James superkicks Winter in the face to score the pin.
We see Mr. Anderson arriving backstage with the TNA World Championship but suddenly a man in a suit walks up to Anderson. The man says that Mr. Anderson is to report to the ring in five minutes time. Anderson mockingly asks what great power summoned him. The man in the suit says the Network. Anderson looks angry, saying that he was done with the Network, but the man in the suit says the Network had problems with what happened last Sunday. Mr. Anderson looks sour and leaves.
Out comes Mr. Anderson to the ring but Eric Bischoff makes his way down to the ring as well. Anderson asks if this is a trick but Bischoff denies it, saying that he was summoned to the ring as well. We find out as a group of security guards walk out and following them is, Desmond Wolfe! The fans are confused but cheering, as Wolfe slides underneath the bottom rope. He talks about how he was a part of this company for nearly a year, but he was blackballed due to personal reason. Yet while he'll never be able to wrestle again, he'll be able to contribute in other ways, and that being as the new Director of Authority in Impact Wrestling!
Bischoff sputters saying that there is no need for anyone but Hogan and Bischoff to run the company, in fact, the Network gave them one hundred percent control. Wolfe says that's true, but there was a recent power struggle in the Network, where there was a group of people who supported Hogan and Bischoff and then there were another group of people who wanted them gone. Wolfe states that they finally decided on a compromise, they would let Hogan and Bischoff have their freedom, unless they grossly abused their power. So as Wolfe states, if Bischoff and Hogan toe the line, then he'll happily sit in a nice posh office, getting six figures a year from Spike TV and we'll never see him again.
However, last Sunday, Bischoff stepped out of line. He interfered in the TNA Championship match between Sting and Mr. Anderson, messing up the count of referee Jackson James. So, after meetings all day, the Network has decided on one course of action. Mr. Anderson has been stripped of the TNA Championship!
Anderson losing his mind, yelling that the Network has been out to get him from day one, because he isn't mainstream enough. Wolfe says that if Anderson is good enough, he should be able to get his belt back, in October at Bound for Glory. Security takes the belt. Wolfe explains that at Bound for Glory, there will be a Triple Threat Match for the TNA Championship, where the winner is the undisputed TNA Champion. One man in the match will be the number one contender Kurt Angle. The other two men will be the winners of two separate eight man Round Robin Tournaments. Whoever gets those title shots, will deserve their spot. Each man will face every other competitor in his block once and whoever has the most points, will advance to Bound for Glory. In the event of a tie, there will be a tie breaker match. Five points for wins, two for draws, and zero for losses.

[Ultimate X Qualifier]
Alex Shelley pinned Kazarian with the Sliced Bread #2 in 0:09:55.
Rating: ** 3/4
Two former X-Division Champions in Kazarian and Alex Shelley competed for a spot in the Ultimate X Match. Both men shook hands before the match in a sign of respect. Back and forth action, with many nearfalls. Kazarian got frustrated with his inability to put Shelley away, but Shelley fights out of the Fade to Black and hits the Sliced Bread #2 for the pin. Kazarian respectfully shakes hands with Shelley, but its obvious that he is none too pleased about being out of Ultimate X and out of the running to get his title back.

Dinero attacks Crimson at the bell, using many devious tactics to keep him down. The Pope has been in a slump as of late, but he really intended to turn things away straight away. Crimson blocks the DDE and nearly rips Dinero's head off with a huge lariat, beating him down and hitting the Sky High for the pin, to become 1-0 with five points in his block of the series.
AJ Styles is backstage, as later tonight, he will take on Abyss in the Bound for Glory Series tonight, Block A, but as he just found out, he'll get a chance to become the X-Division Champion once again. He'll win the title back, bringing it back to the X-Division before Destination X, and then he'll gain his five points in the Bound for Glory Series Block A.
James Storm talks about how he might be one half of the TNA Tag Team Champions, but he wants to hold the big prize as well, even though eventually he will have to face off against Bobby Roode in the tournament. Tonight he has Scott Steiner. Scott Steiner cuts a ranting promo, yelling that he's going to be the TNA Champion at Bound for Glory and tonight he's going to beat up James Storm until he's sober.
[Bound for Glory Series Block B]
James Storm pinned Scott Steiner after a small package in 0:07:28.
Rating: * 1/4
James Storm attacks Scott Steiner at the bell but Scott Steiner beats on James Storm for most of the match, hitting a number of violent suplexes, and arguing with the referee. Eventually Scott Steiner wasted too much time and he gets rolled up with a small package for the pin, getting James Storm on the board with five points in Block B in the Bound for Glory series.
Scott Steiner throws down the referee and clotheslines James Storm down, before stomping on him. Steiner hits a belly to belly suplex on Storm and in comes Bobby Roode to make the save. Roode checks on James Storm and Scott Steiner slides into the ring, with a pipe and waffles Bobby Roode in the injured shoulder with the pipe! Scott Steiner applies a single arm DDT to Roode and beats on him. Steiner grabs Storm's beer bottle and takes a swig, before choking and spitting the beer on the downed Storm, yelling "your beer's crap!"
We are backstage, with Hulk Hogan talking about how the Network is trying to put the screws to them, with Eric Bischoff and the rest of Immortal. He talks about how in Block A, Abyss is locked and loaded and in Block B, both Gunner and Bully Ray have thrown their names into the hat. Hogan says that tonight, they're going to start with Abyss gaining the first five points. Hogan says its time for Immortal to get ready to do their thing and to show where the power lies in Impact Wrestling. Hogan sends the rest of Immortal off but suddenly Sting pops in as they left. Sting talks about how it would be one thing if Anderson just beat him cleanly, he could have had a nice, easy return match down the line but now he has to beat seven other people in his Block, starting with Anderson next week. He talks about how Hogan and Bischoff have played with the careers of the wrestlers for the last time. Sting holds the baseball bat, saying that he's going to beat the old Hulkster out of Hulk Hogan. Hogan stammers that it was Bischoff's fault that Sting to screwed out of the title. Sting raises the bat and Hogan flinches but Sting just laughs, and Hogan looks relieved but Sting punches Hogan once, knocking him out! Hogan is slumped over his desk, as Sting chokes Hogan out with the baseball bat, yelling that Hogan's not going to play him, but in comes Gunner and Bully Ray, who pull Sting off and Sting just raises his hands, walking off, as Hogan clutches his throat, struggling to breath. Sting yells that he's going to take out Immortal one by one, brick by brick, until there is no one left and Impact Wrestling is purified of their corrupt influence. Then and only then, can Sting quietly step off into the night.

Kendrick is pleased, he is in Ultimate X with Alex Shelley and two other competitors to be named.
The next match in Block B of the Bound for Glory Series is featuring Hernandez going one on one with Rob Van Dam. Hernandez cuts a promo, talking about how tonight its his time and tonight, he's going to finally get his just do. Rob Van Dam cuts a laid back promo, talking about how he knows what its like to be the TNA Champion and by winning his block in the Bound for Glory Series, he's going to do so again.
[Bound for Glory Series Block B]
Rob Van Dam pinned Hernandez with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:06:50.
Rating: ** 3/4
Hernandez seemed ready to brutalize Rob Van Dam and used his high impact offense to batter Van Dam. Van Dam fought out from underneath but a belly to back suplex from Hernandez put him down and now Hernandez hits a flying elbow drop for a very close nearfall. He talks about how many people might not remember this, but he was also a former X-Division Champion. He has plenty of time to kill before October, so he's throwing out an open challenge to any X-Division competitor past or present to take on Kurt Angle one on one at Destination X. Angle puts over the X-Division as the most exciting wrestling in the world and says that if there is any way to keep him sharp, its going to stepping into the X-Division on July 11th at Destination X. AJ Styles tore into everything, as Abyss promised to level the entire X-Division to the ground at Destination X on their night. Styles gains several nearfalls and the referee gets caught in the crossfire, allowing Abyss to bring a chair into the match but Styles dropkicks it into his face. Springboard 450 Splash but Styles can't keep Abyss down past a two count. Springboard is countered into the Black Hole Slam but Styles somehow kicks out. Abyss talks about how it will be the end for the X-Division and he's going to forever keep the belt as a trophy on his mantle.
