I recently had some downtime and the desire to run yet another circuit. Starting up for the 9,000 time Im gonna run a WWWF/WWF/WWE Brand. Starting in 1963 when they broke away from the NWA. Ive run through 1971 and with 1972 being the beginning of my TV time, figured I'd catch you guys up with quick year by year recaps to start and more detail as years and time goes on. Gonna do the recaps till I need to buy myself some time basically. I'll finish writing up 1963's recap in a couple mins and post it when I have the time.

January 12th, 1963 Vincent J. McMahon and Toots Mondt, along with the rest of Capital Wrestling Corporation Officials announce they are intending to leave the NWA and rebrand themselves as the World Wide Wrestling Federation by Crowning the WWWF World Heavyweight Champion in Rio De Janerio, Brazil on April 6th, 1963. 8 of the top stars in the world will do battle live from Rio De Janerio at the birth of the next big thing in wrestling.
April 6th, 1963 - Rio De Janeiro, Brazil Buddy Rogers wins the WWWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament. He defeated Antonino Rocca, Bobo Brazil, & Jay Strongbow enroute to victory. WWWF Officials have high hopes for "The Nature Boy" and the Tournament Final against Rocca was a classic. Rocca didn't have an easy road either, having to go through both Gene Kiniski and Ray Stevens.
May 4th, 1963 - New York, NY Buddy Rogers & Antonino Rocca battled in a rematch and after Rogers retained the building came unglued as Bruno Sammartino appeared and informed Rogers he was coming for HIS Belt.
June 29th, 1963 - New York, NY Bruno Sammartino defeats Buddy Rogers for the WWWF World Heavyweight Title, after having defeated Gene Kiniski in a #1 Contenders Bout on 6/1. Also on this card Pat Patterson broke his back. He would miss just about 1 year in the ring.
July 27th, 1963 - New York, NY Dr. Jerry Graham & Eddie Graham defeat Jay Strongbow & Wahoo McDaniel in a tournament final to crown the 1st ever WWWF World Tag Team Titles.
August 24th, 1963 - Boston, MA Buddy Rogers and Gene Kiniski destroy the World Champ, Bruno Sammartino. Kiniski's bout ended when "The Nature Boy" nailed Sammartino with 3 piledrivers outside the ring injuring his neck in the process. The following month in New York, Rocca & Perez attempted to get retribution for their fallen friend, but the fans pelt Rogers & Kiniski with trash.
September 21st, 1963 - New York, NY Aside from the near riot conditions for the Main Event (Rocca & Perez vs Rogers & Kiniski), this card was significant as the first WWWF United States Champion was crowned in a 13 Man Battle Royal. Killer Kowalski had returned from a back injury to win the melee and put his name in the record books.
October 19th, 1963 - Hartford, CT Antonino Rocca and Buddy Rogers clashed once more in the Main Event. During the bout an irate Bruno Sammartino returned after months on the shelf and endless heckling from Rogers. Sammartino told Rogers that December 14th was the last show of not only the year, but of Rogers career. Bruno told Rogers it was Title vs. Career if he had the guts. Rogers accepted and the match was signed.
December 14th, 1963 - New York, NY Bruno Sammartino finally gets redemption as he forces "The Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers out of the WWWF and defends his title to close out the year.
