Does anyone else edit the pro wrestling wikia? (https://prowrestling.fandom.com/)
Ever since Wikipedia brass decided to remove the lists of wrestling moves from wrestlers, I've come to really like the off-path wikia (now fandom, I guess).

Yeah, after Wikipedia got rid of Finishers and Signature Moves that wiki has become indispensable.

Does anyone know why Wikipedia did this? I assume it's because having a list is clunky, but from my own experience if something like that could be worked into the article text (and cited properly) they would normally let it stay.

So...yeah, pretty much what I assumed: any discussion of finishers/signature moves have to be worked into article text. Seems an odd choice for such an integral part of a wrestler's biography, but the Wikipedia community can be weird sometimes.

After skimming over the lengthy debate on the subject, I understand why they removed it. Although I don't entirely agree, the decision seems reasonable within the context of Wikipedia guidelines.

Oh, I'm not disputing that. I've been part of similar discussions on the Baseball Wikiproject. The problem is that once it's decided that something needs to be in the article text, someone actually has to go and put it there, and that's, you know, hard and stuff , so they'll just delete it instead because that fulfills the directive.
