Back in the early days of using TNM7 (for me), late 90's, when downloading wrestlers, there were some official of course and some exports done by others. So sometimes I'm not sure of the origins. But does anyone else remember certain guys, jobbers-mid-carders, that if you ran unbooked just totally kicked ass. And you would go into the guy and start to modify push, and other attributes, but sometimes they just kept winning??
I remember for me both Brooklyn Brawler and Lash LeRoux did this, and it would just throw unbooked off kilter. I mean unbooked were for the most part just a fun diversion you would do, without write-ups etc, so it wasn't like they were finger painting over the Mona Lisa but it was just amazing. I think Bobby Duncum Jr was also pretty much unstoppable but he was at least legitimate and I'm sure that one was an export.
Anybody else remember other cases in their own feds?

While he's not at the level you're talking about, back in the day Rob Van Dam was not only unbeatable for me, he couldn't have below a 4 star match.

Styles make fights - and this is particularly true in TNM, then and now.
Brock Lesnar goes through most wrestlers like a hot knife through butter in both SE and TE. In fact, when I was first testing TE before its initial release, I kept running a 64-man Swiss Rules Tournament over and over. There was a stretch where Brock won 107 matches in a row.
If you download my new 1987 Islanders export, they also kick ass!
Having Damage Normalization and Damage Scaling activated for your circuit will smooth over many of these oddities but at the end of the day, TNM was written to simulate competitive matches. The concept of one-sided squashes is fundamentally foreign to the match engine.

I seem to recall shooters tended to have disproportionately high win rates, probably due to the unusually high number of submission moves.

Back before I learned how to edit wrestlers properly, I remember being really frustrated because Corporal Kirchner would win all the time. He was barely above enhancement talent, fer cryin' out loud!

Skinner beat Hogan in one of my old feds and just beat Owen Hart in my new fed. Next on the list is Bret. I might have Skinner as IC champ.
