TJ, you really need to bring in the Brewers' player Martin Maldonado and have him feud with Homicide. I'll consider it. Maybe.

A double countout/DQ in a tournament is almost obligatory, meaning one other wrestler will receive a bye. I bet Shelley and Kaz both are happy about this.
As I mentioned earlier, strange, but fun pairing of Otunga and Hero. Hagadorn will have to do something special to make them forgive him, but he'll probably botch it.
Good to see you brought in Hamada. Daffney is an interesting character to say the least, and this looks like it will be an interesting take on the Scream Queen.
Lot of contention for the world title, now Orton wants in on the mix!
Don't like countouts in tag-matches, I assume it was a result of you letting TNM decide how the Conglomerate should win. You "covered" it nicely though with Morgan taking out Cabana. The problem with countout wins, is that it doesn't really count as much as a pinfall/submission. It should mostly be used as a storyline/gimmick, or for a low carder / small guy to defeat an upper carder / big guy. That way, the lower card guy wins more momentum than the big shot loses, if you know what I mean. Morgan & Terry should be more than capable of defeating Tatsu and Cabana via pinfall.
Lots of chaos backstage sets the tone for Wicked Games.
Great title match, Cole fits great as an X-Champ, even though Bourne is probably more of a high-flyer. Your match write-up is probably a good example of what a match between the two would have been.
Good main event also. Putting a tournament match last shows that it matters. Kaz will now be a de facto favorite for the tournament, since he has one less match to think about.
Overall a good show, your writing is good and the interview/promo segments flow well. A good mix between match writeups and promos.

Oh, man. Please tell me you didn't read the earlier discussion about Maldonado before you asked that? I'm laughing my ass off. Heh, no I decided against reading all the 7 pages. I'm trying to catch up from this point on

Well, after a lengthy hiatus - and battling a week-long flu - I should have the Wicked Games PPV posted shortly (hopefully by the end of the day today). If not, definitely tomorrow.

HWL Wicked Games PPV November 20, 2011 Time Warner Cable Arena - Charlotte, North Carolina Attendance: 8,282 (41%) A video montage is shown of the first round matches of the Wicked Games Tournament are shown as "Face on the Floor" by Chevelle plays in the background. Fireworks explode from the stage, as the camera goes inside the arena, and Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome the at-home audience to Charlotte for the second-annual Wicked Games pay-per-view. Josh and Scott run down the matches that are expected tonight - including the main event, Triple Threat Match, for the Heavyweight Title. They then send it to ringside for the opening match... [HWL Women's Title Match]: Velvet Sky pinned Brie Bella after a DDT in 0:11:15. Rating: * 3/4 (Velvet Sky retained the HWL Women's Title.)These two Vixens have gone quite a strange path over the past couple months, with both playing a number of mind games in the hopes of getting into each other's heads. This time around, it was Brie - who many didn't think had that side to her - who was doing whatever she could to make Velvet worry about the next time they stepped into the ring with each other. During the weeks leading this match, the tactics seemed to be working, as Velvet appeared nervous when Bella's name was brought up, or when the two crossed paths. However, that was not the case tonight, as Velvet withstood a quick start by Brie to retain the title after hitting a DDT for the 1-2-3. Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with Brutus Magnus. Magnus says that he agrees with the statements made by Randy Orton on Anarchy, and that there are a number of people in the the tournament who haven't held a titlle before. Magnus says that Orton, and the others who haven't held a title in the HWL, don't know what it's like to have championship gold and then watch it leave around the waist of someone else. Magnus says that's the biggest difference between him and those who haven't held titles: he's been Tag Team Champion and lost. He's tasted gold, and wants to taste it again. Magnus says that there's sweeter taste then that of the Heavyweight Title; and that he intends to hold that gold after winning the tonight. Also backstage, with Ted Hansen, JEFF HARDY says that, for years, he had been held down, because no one thought he had what it took to be the top guy. Hardy says that he proved everyone wrong - more than once - and that he has all the talents needed to be the top guy in the HWL. He says tonight is his night to shine, and that's exactly what he's going to do. Hardy says that he's ready to be the top guy again, and that after tonight, he will be the new #1 Contender, and will go on to Caged Rage, where he can put his body on the line better than anyone else in the HWL. [Wicked Games Tournament - Quarter Final]: Randy Orton pinned Brutus Magnus with the RKO in 09:05. Rating: ***The night's first match in the Wicked Games tournament pitted the #16 seed against the #8 seed, as Brutus Magnus looked to continue his upset streak by taking on "The Viper". Monday night, Randy Orton said that he was one of three men in the tournament that have yet to hold a title in the HWL. Tonight, he came out and looked like he was ready to back up his words from Anarchy, and change his fortunes. Orton picked up the victory by hitting an RKO in the center of the ring, getting the 1-2-3, and moving one step closer to becoming the #1 Contender. DAVID OTUNGA is seen getting ready for his match, talking to CHRIS HERO, when SHANE HAGADORN enters the locker room. Otunga and Hero stop talking and look at Hagadorn, who nods in their direction. Hagadorn, again, says that he's sorry for costing them the Tag Team Titles, but that he is going to make up for his mistake; and that he will start tonight, by helping Otunga win the tournament. Otunga and Hero look at each other, before Otunga says that he doesn't want Hagadorn getting in the way. He says that last he wants is to have Hagadorn cost him a shot at the Heavyweight Title. Hagadorn turns, saying nothing, and walks out of the room... Backstage, Alisha Hicks was with MARTIN MALDONADO and KURT ANGLE. Angle stayed in the back, as Maldonado said that the day had finally arrived, and that Cody Rhodes was just moments away from getting his wish. He says that Rhodes has done everything he could to get into the ring with Maldonado, and that tonight, he was finally going to get his chance to back up his words. Maldonado says that no matter how much Rhodes thinks he's prepared for tonight, he has no idea what he's up against. Maldonado says that tonight will be the fight of Rhodes's life, and that Rhodes will have to use his imagination to come up with ways to beat Maldonado; but even then, he wouldn't be enough, and that Rhodes will have to live with sitting at home, watching him win the title that Rhodes thinks is his. [Wicked Games Tournament - Quarter Final]: David Otunga defeated Jeff Hardy by countout in 0:07:10. Rating: *On Monday night, Shane Hagadorn pleaded forgiveness from The A-List Knockouts, promising to make up for his costing them the Tag Team Titles. Tonight he got his first chance to back up those words. His charge, David Otunga, had his hands full at the onset of the match, as Hardy used his speedy to gain the advantage - even using a chair to hit a spinning leg clothesline! Otunga was able to fight back, using his power to overtake Hardy. With things in control, Otunga threw Hardy outside the ring - looking to inflict more damage. Otunga connected with a hard shoulderblock, and Hardy's head appeared to smack on the concrete outside the ring. Otunga re-entered the ring, as Hardy slowly got to his feet. As Hardy started to re-enter the ring, Hagadorn made his presence known, hitting a low-blow, as Otunga distracted the referee. As Hagadorn walked away, looking innocent, the referee counted Hardy out. Backstage, Ted Hansen is seen with CODY RHODES, who responds to the comments made earlier by Martin Maldonado. Rhodes says that his wish will indeed come true, when he steps into the ring with Maldonado later tonight, but that he's not concerned with the threats made my his opponent. Rhodes says that he doesn't need to use his imagination - or come up with "new" ways - to beat Maldonado, because the only thing fueling him in this match is that Maldonado cost him the Heavyweight Title. Rhodes says that he can't looks past that, and he won't, until he makes Maldonado pay for what's he done. Also, backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with KAZ, who says that he is very aware of how dangerous a tournament format can be. He says that everyone in the tournament is hear for a reason, and that anyone is capable of becoming the new number-one contender. But, he says that he has been fortunate by getting the first round off, and having more time to rest than anyone else in the tournament. Kaz says that gives him an edge, that he hopes on using, to earn a shot at the Heavyweight Title. [Wicked Games Tournament - Quarter Final]: Cody Rhodes and Martin Maldonado battled to a draw in 0:20:00. Rating: *** 1/2For over a month, Cody Rhodes and Martin Maldonado's paths have been destined to cross, and everyone had been holding their breath that the crossing would happen here tonight - and that's exactly what everyone in attendance got to see. Rhodes had promised retribution on Maldonado for costing Rhodes his rematch against AJ Styles for the Heavyweight Title last month, saying that he would do whatever he needed to make sure Maldonado didn't get closer than he would. Tonight, that promise was put to the test as both men came out swinging, giving this match everything they had to offer. In the early moments of the match, Rhodes connected with a superplex that stunned the crowd, but he was only able to get a two count out of it. He attempted to do the move a second time, but Maldonado blocked the attempt and started his comeback. This was a back-and-forth affair throughout the entirity, with both men hitting their finishers a total of FIVE times - but neither one of them being able to pick up the pinfall. The final seconds of the match saw Maldonado hit the Gringo Killer for the third time, but Rhodes got his shoulder up just before the three. Moments later, the bell sounded, and the referee called the match a draw - but neither Maldonado nor Rhodes were willing to cease. After the match, HWL officials rushed down to the ring, attempting to break up the brawl, only to get shoved off by Maldonado, who would then continue to attack Rhodes inside the ring. The officials tried once more, grabbing Maldonado by the arms, and dragging him back to a corner. But, this only allowed Rhodes to get a good number of shots in after he wiggled free from the grasps of his own officials. The crowd was going crazy! Finally, after some time, KURT ANGLE made his way down the ramp, and into the corner of Maldonado. Angle whispered something into his ear, and quickly left the ring, as Maldonado slid under the bottom rope and followed suit. The officials let go of Rhodes, as he watched Maldonado make his way up the ramp - the crowd chanting Cody's name all the while. Backstage, Heavyweight Champion AJ STYLES is seen heading towards his locker room door, when he is confronted by KURT ANGLE. Angle tells Styles that, if he wants to be considered a true champion, then he needs to tell The Conglomerate members to "stay out of my way" during the main event. Angle says he will not have his chance at the Heavyweight Title tainted by outside interference. Angle walks away, with Styles staring behind him, before Styles enters the locker room, shaking his head. [Wicked Games Tournament - Semifinal]: Kaz pinned Randy Orton with the Wave of the Future in 0:12:06. Rating: *** 1/2Kaz was the much more rested of the two as the semifinals began, having received a bye in the quarterfinals. Randy Orton, on the other hand, came off a hard-fought match with Brutus Magnus. It appeared, from the onset of the match, that Orton didn't have enough time to rest between matches, or that there was some underlying injuring that was making it hard for him to stay in this match. Kaz made things look a little too easy throughout the match, as he repeatedly tossed Orton outside the ring, and waited until "The Viper" crawled his way back into the ring, getting closer to "10" each time. When Orton did mount offense, it was short-lived, as Kaz was able to counter out of most moves, due to being the fresher man in the tournament. In the end, Kaz connected with the Wave of the Future for the 1-2-3, and will move on into the finals. Backstage, inside The Conglomerate locker room, AJ STYLES is seen sitting by himself, looking at the ground, when RIC FLAIR enters the room. Flair says that Styles doesn't "look like 'the man'" that hold the top belt in the HWL. Styles says that Flair should know better than to question his intensity - especially when it comes to the Heavyweight Title. But Styles tells Flair that tonight is a huge night for him, and when he walks out with the title still over his shoulder, he wants to say he did it without help. Styles tells Flair that he wants "the Nature Boy" to stay backstage; and to make sure that no one else interferes. Styles then grabs the title belt and leaves the locker room, leaving Flair speechless. [Wicked Games Tournament - Semifinal]: David Otunga won via default. Backstage, Ted Hansen is seen with CM PUNK, who says that he has "absolutely loved" watching Kurt Angle and AJ Styles "tear each other apart" in the weeks leading up to tonight. Punk says that he has stayed out of the way, because even though he has been known of saying things to get under people's skin, he knows when to keep his mouth shut, too. Punk says that tonight, it's not about getting the best of each other in a war of words, or pointing out their flaws with a verbal barage, but it's about being the best - when it counts - inside that ring. Punk says that didn't call himself "the Best in the World" to piss people off; he did it because it was true. The people that booed him knew it was true, and tonight, Kurt Angle and AJ Styles will know it's true. Punk walks away as the scene goes back to ringside... [Wicked Games Tournament - Finals]: Kaz pinned David Otunga with the Wave of the Future in 0:05:58. Rating: ** 1/2The finals of the tournament came down to two men who were fortunate enough to NOT have to do battle in every round. Otunga looked to gain the upper hand over Kaz, who had just competed, after sitting in the back and watching Cody Rhodes and Martin Maldonado eliminate each other from title contention. But, Kaz came out on a roll, still surging from his win over Randy Orton. Kaz had the upper hand throughout the match, and Otunga was able to garner a slight bit of offense, but it wasn't enough to put Kaz away. Otunga started looking to Shane Hagadorn for assistance during the match, but Hagadorn's attention was elsewhere as STEVE CORINO and EDDIE EDWARDS made their apperance on the stage. Hagadorn quickly left ringside, standing in the center of the ramp, pleading for Corino and Edwards to not interfere. But, with his attention taken away from Otunga, "The A-List Superstar" fell victim to the Wave of the Future, and Kaz walked away with the victory. As Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels spoke about Kaz becoming the new number one contender for the Heavyweight Title, Shane Hagadorn made his way into the ring, hovering over Otunga and apologizing. Suddenly, Hagadorn go to his feet, and attacked Kaz with a double axehandle to the back; but the move only infuriated Kaz. Kaz turned around, grabbed Hagadorn by the collar, and threw out over the top rope - getting a huge roar from the crowd! Kaz sat on the top turnbuckle and watched as Edwards and Corino left the stage, and Hagadorn rolled Otunga out of the ring. A preview for the next HWL pay-per-view, Caged Rage, is shown as "Public Enemy No.1" by Megadeath plays in the background. The event will take place, live, from Providence, Rhode Island on Sunday, December 18th. [Triple Threat Match for Heavyweight Title]: CM Punk defeated Kurt Angle and AJ Styles when Punk pinned Styles with the G.T.S in 0:24:10. Rating: ***** (CM Punk won the HWL Heavyweight Title.)These three men have been at each others' throats for the past month, just buying their time before this match took place. The last time these three were in the ring, it was Punk who was at the disadvantage, as Styles and Angle teamed up in the hopes of keeping Punk out of this match. But tonight, there was no real advantage - but the disadvantage solely sat on the shoulders of the Heavyweight Champion. Styles did not need to be a part of the finish to lose the Heavyweight Title, but he had to pin - or make someone submit - in order to keep it. Early on in this match, it appeared that Angle was going to play the role of peace keeper tonight, as he routinely would interject himself, breaking up submission and pinfall attempts. But, once he got into the ring, he took to tearing down AJ, hoping to take the champion out of the match as quick as possible. For the first 15 minutes of the match, neither man was able to get enough offense to stand above the others; each one falling victim to an attack from behind. That is, until Angle hit Styles with the Angle Slam, but Styles was able to lift his shoulder up after only a one-count. Distraught, Angle was thrown out of the ring by Punk, who quickly went for a cover, and again, only got a one count. The referee forced Punk to leave the ring, as Angle gathered his bearings and rolled under the bottom rope. Whatever few moments the champ had to himself, he made sure not to take for granted. AJ and Kurt restarted their brawl in the ring, and the action continued to go back and forth until Angle attempted the Ankle Lock. AJ rolled out of the move, throwing Angle into the ropes, and straight into a boot from Punk! Punk tagged himself into the match, and attacked Styles from behind, and the two of them went toe-to-toe. Styles was able to surprise Punk with a Pele kick, and a near-fall, only to to have Angle smack him in the back, bringing himself into the match. Angle went on the offensive, and stayed on Punk, using his amateur wrestling background to wear down the self-proclaimed "Best in the World". Angle locked in a rear naked choke, but just before he passed out, Punk was able to drape his foot over the bottom rope, causing the referee to break the hold. Punk wrapped his leg around the rope as Angle tried to pull him to his feet, but again, the referee stepped in - allowing Punk to get back to his feet. But, as soon as he did, Punk raced across the ring, slapped Styles on the arm and exited the ring. Again, Punk watched from the outside as Angle and Styles went at each other. This time around, Styles got the upper hand, hitting the Styles Clash, but Punk interfered, breaking up the pinfall before retreating outside the ropes. Styles walked over to the ropes, and he and Punk shared words with one another, as Angle slowly got back to his feet across the ring. Punk jumped off the apron as Angle ran in, splashing Styles's chest against the tunrbuckles! Angle stood back, stalking AJ, before hitting a second Angle Slam! But, the momentum of the move put Angle in front of Punk, and as Angle got to his feet, Punk slapped him across the back, tagging himself in. Angle took a swing at Punk, who ducked it and threw Angle over the top rope! Punk turned to Styles, who was getting to his feet, and hit the G.T.S. in the center of the ring! Punk quickly made the cover, locking Styles's legs, as the referee counted 1-2-3! After the match, Angle re-entered the ring, and attacked Punk from behind, causing the referee to call for the bell. Angle whipped Punk into the ropes, only to have Punk grab them, and slide out of the ring. Punk grabbed the Heavyweight Title from the timekeeper and made his way through the Charlotte crowd as Wicked Games went off the air. Rating: *** 1/4

Good to see you back, and with a PPV no less! Glad Velvet retained the title. I just can't get into the Bellas. Not really your fault - I just find them bland. Decent interview Magnus, but you're not winning shit tonight. Hardy, on the other hand, has a lot better shot. And there goes Magnus. Orton has a really good shot to win this one as well. Oh Hagadorn... what are you up to... Rhodes has to take down Maldonado, I would think. It just makes sense. Wow... didn't see Hardy being eliminated so early, to freakin' Otunga no less. I liked the story of the Rhodes/Maldonado match, outside of the finisher battle. Seemed like a bit of overkill. That being said, it was surprising that we got a draw. Wonder what Angle is up to... Even with Kaz having the bye, I was surprised he beat Orton clean. Seemed like this was Orton's match to win. So now it's Kaz and Otunga? Not a sexy final, I'll be honest. Thought this would be the Hagadorn turn, but not quite yet. I'm not super excited about Kaz winning, but given the other option was Otunga, congrats to Kaz. Great main event. Can't complain when you get *****. And Punk excites me more as a champion than Angle right now. I wasn't thrilled with the tourney, but this main event more than made up for it. Good way to end the show, TJ.

Pretty good PPV. Would expect nothing less from the three you had in the main event. With Punk now as champion, you got a couple directions you can go in.
I liked Kaz winning the tournament. A pleasant surprise and i'm interested to see what kinda push he gets from this.

I liked Magnus' interview to help clarify Orton's on the show previous.
Pretty stunned that Kaz won the tournament. Thought for sure it was Orton's to lose.
It is hard to make a triangle match where you have to be tagged into the ring look good on paper. You wrote it out very well and it kept my attention throughout. I'm all for Punk taking the title. Good booking here, but I want to see how Kaz fits into this.

Monday Night Anarchy November 21, 2011 PNC Arena - Raleigh, North Carolina Attendance: 16,172 (82%) Highlights from last night’s Wicked Games pay-per-view are shown, showcasing the tournament matches, ending with Kaz becoming the new number-one contender. The recap then shows highlights from the Triple Threat Match for the Heavyweight Title, ending with CM Punk exiting through the crowd, holding the title belt in the air. “Headstrong” begins to play inside the PNC Arena as fireworks shoot from the stage structure. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Raleigh, 24 hours after the HWL crowned a new Heavyweight Champion, and the man who will face him for the title at Caged Rage in December. It is announced that tonight’s main event will be a tag team match as Kurt Angle and Marti Maldonado team up to take on former Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles and Rob Terry. A GLOATING CHAMPION The introduction is cut short as CM PUNK’S music begins to play inside the arena. Punk walks onstage with the Heavyweight Title wrapped around his waist, and he receives a number of mixed reactions as he makes his way to the ring. Inside the ring, Punk stands on the turnbuckle, and screams “Best in the World!” as he unlocks the title and holds it into the air. Punk then grabs a microphone and sits atop the turnbuckle, draping the title belt over his lap, as he looks out over the crowd. Punk says that he wanted to come out and be the first person ton congratulate Kaz on winning the Wicked Games Tournament last night; and to congratulate him on becoming the new number-one contender. Punk says that he “honestly didn’t thing” Kaz had it in him to win the tournament, but that he was proven wrong. He says that it doesn’t really matter - and that he’s not worried about Kaz being the challenger for his title - because Kaz will face the same fate that he did last year, when he lost in a Triple Threat Match against Kurt Angle and Matt Morgan at Caged Rage. Punk then says that’s the difference between him and Kaz. With the title on the line, Kaz couldn’t get the job done last year. Whereas, last night, Punk walked out of Charlotte with the Heavyweight, in what will go down in history as the “greatest pay-per-view match” the HWL has ever seen. Punk says that by walking out of that match as the Heavyweight Champion - and nothing else - proves that he what he claims to be: the best in the world. Punk says that he and Kaz have never fought each other, and that there’s no better place for their first match to take place than in a steel cage, because it’ll make Kaz show what he’s willing to do to become “Number One”. Punk says that he has done what he has had to to become “Number One”, and that he will do whatever it takes to keep the Heavyweight Title. Punk drops the microphone, and jumps off the turnbuckle, as his music begins to play once again. Grabbing the title, Punk exit’s the ring, as Josh and Scott talk about the possibilities that Punk’s match with Kaz at Caged Rage could bring. Commercial BreakRami Sebei pinned Steve Corino with the Brainbustah in 0:12:43. Rating: *** ¾Rami Sebei and Steve Corino met in the ring for the second week in a row, this match being signed after their double-countout result in the first round of the Wicked Games Tournament. Things seems to start where they left off last week, with both men landing hard shots to each other for the better part of the match. Sebei looked impressive, connecting with two moonsaults for near falls. During the middle of the match, SHANE HAGADORN made his way onto the stage, and sat down at the end of the ramp, watching as Corino took control of the match. He was able to connect with the Sliding Lariat, but Sebei barely kicked out before the three count. After arguing with the referee, Corino threw Sebei out of the ring, and attempted a baseball slide. Sebei moved out of the way, and Corino crashed down onto the concrete at ringside. That was all the opening Sebei needed, as he rolled Corino back into the ring and laid into the Tag Team Champion. Sebei connected with the Brainbustah to pick up the impressive victory. After the match, Hagadorn made his way to down to the ring, where he stood at ringside and watched as Corino staggered to his feet and rolled out of the ring. After grabbing his title belt, and walking around the ring, Corino stopped and stared at Hagadorn, who handed Corino a piece of paper before walking back up the ramp to a rumble of chatter from the fans in attendance. Corino stood at ringside, staring at Hagadorn, as Anarchy went to commercials. Commercial BreakAs Anarchy returns from the break, HAMADA is seen, in the hallway, talking on her cell phone. From off-camera, DAFFNEY blindsides Hamada with a clothesline, sending her down to the floor, throwing the cell phone across the floor as well. Daffney assaulted Hamada with lefts and rights, screaming at the top of her lungs in the process. Daffney gets to her feet, and lands a few stomps into Hamada’s chest and stomach, before walking away. She picks up the cell phone, screams into it before throwing it down onto the floor - shattering it. She walks away as the camera zooms in on Hamada, on the floor. Natalya defeated Nikki Bella by countout in 0:12:08. Rating: * ½These two former Women’s Champions both came out swinging tonight, trading offense throughout the match. Bella pick up a couple near falls using her springboard body press, but Natalya was strong enough to power out of the pinfall attempts. Natalya nearly won the match early on, after hitting a wheelbarrow suplex. She then locked on a side headlock, looking to make Bella submit; but Nikki was able to grab the ropes to break the hold. That signaled the end of Bella, as Natalya threw her through the ropes, and began to assault her outside the ring. As the referee counted, Natalya connected with a Michinoku Driver onto the concrete floor! For good measure, though, Natalya threw Bella into the guardrail before entering the ring, allowing the referee to count Nikki out. Commercial BreakTHE GLOATING CONTINUES As Anarchy returns from the break, X-Division Champion ADAM COLE makes his way to the ring, getting a roar of boos from the crowd. Cole enters the ring, grabs a microphone, and stands in the center of the ring, adjusting the title belt over his shoulder. “You all boo me because you’re jealous. None of you pathetic rednecks are nearly as good at what you do, as I am at my job!” Cole says that he has dominated the X-Division since becoming Champion. He tells the crowd that he’s the reason Evan Bourne was put on the shelf, because he was thinking of feeding his ego instead of his health. Cole says that he has beaten everyone who thought they were worth a damn, and that those who have stepped into the ring with him were not on the same level. “So, if there’s anyone in the back who wants a shot… they know where to find me.” Cole drops the microphone and leaves the ring as the crowd continues to boo. Commercial BreakCody Rhodes pinned Chris Hero after a crucifix in 0:21:55. Rating: **** ½ [Shane Hagadorn and Martin Maldonado interfered against Cody Rhodes.]After battling for 20 minutes last night, in the Wicked Games Tournament, Cody Rhodes stepped into the ring against a man who is still waiting for a huge wrong to be righted. Chris Hero took his aggression out on a worn-down Rhodes almost immediately after the bell rang, starting the match. Things continued to get tougher for Rhodes as MARTIN MALDONADO made his way to ringside moments after the match began. Rhodes found himself in a three-on-one situation, and was in no condition to fight them all at once. Hero held control throughout the match, with Rhodes getting small amounts of offense in. Hero connected with the Hero’s Welcome, but Rhodes had just enough power to kick out, stunning Hero and both men at ringside. Hagadorn jumped onto the apron, distracting the referee, as Maldonado grabbed a chair and slid it into the ring. Hero grabbed the chair, swung and missed, as Rhodes connected with the Cross Rhodes out of nowhere! The referee turned from Hagadorn to count, but Maldonado reached inside the ring and pulled Rhodes off. As the referee was barring Maldonado from ringside, Hero grabbed the chair and cracked it over Rhodes’s skull! Hero went for the cover, but the referee was occupied with Maldonado. Hero got to his feet, began sharing words with Maldonado, and gained the referee’s attention. Hero turned and went for a running clothesline, only to have Rhodes counted the move with a crucifix, that Hero was unable to kick out off! After the match, Maldonado, who was standing on-stage, ran back into the ring, and attacked Rhodes as Hero rolled out of the ring in disgust. Maldonado grabbed the chair and bent it over Rhodes’s head and body before HWL officials rushed down to the ring, breaking up the assault. After a few minutes of trying, the officials were able to get Maldonado out of the ring, as the referee tended to Rhodes. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels said that things are getting taken to a different level between these two, as Anarchy went to commercials. Commercial BreakWhen Anarchy returns, a preview for CAGED RAGED is shown, highlighting the Heavyweight Title Match between Kaz and Champion, CM Punk, as “Public Enemy No. 1” by Megadeath, plays in the background. CAGED RAGE will take place on December 18th, live from Providence, Rhode Island. Matt Morgan pinned Colt Cabana with the Carbon Footprint in 0:12;05. Rating: *** ¼After the events that took place during their tag team match a couple weeks ago, Peter Bradshaw signed this match between Morgan and Cabana. It was easy to tell, from the onset, that Cabana was in over his head in a singles match against “The Blueprint”, as Morgan manhandled Colt throughout the match. Cabana was able to get in short bursts of offense, but nothing to really turn the tide in the match. Morgan threw Cabana outside the ring, where RIC FLAIR was standing by. But, rethinking his plan, Morgan tossed Cabana back into the ring, where connected with a vicious Carbon Footprint to pick up the 1-2-3. Commercial BreakKurt Angle & Adam Cole and The Conglomerate (AJ Styles & Rob Terry) battled to a draw in 0:20:00. Rating: *** ½ (Martin Maldonado no-showed.)The fans in Raleigh were shocked, even before the match began, to see that Martin Maldonado was not by Kurt Angle’s side as the introductions were made; instead being replaced by the X-Division Champion, Adam Cole. Josh and Scott worried that something had happened to Maldonado, or there was possibly some sort of tension between he and Angle. But, as the match started, it was clear that there was still a lot of built-up tension between the “Olympic Gold Medalist” and the former Heavyweight Champion, as Angle and Styles tore into each other for the better part of the match. The match spilt outside, where Angle rammed Styles head-first into the ring post, opening up a gash on Styles’s forehead. Angle tried to take advantage of the injury, rolling Styles back inside the ring, and pinning him, but Styles kicked out at two. The match continued, with Angle showing hesitation about tagging Cole into the match, but that changed after Styles hit a spinning heel kick that connected flush with Angle, also opening a gash on his head. Cole tagged himself into the match, and went for Styles, but AJ was able to tag in “Big Rob”, and the tide of the match turned dramatically. Cole was no match for Terry, who used his power to overmatch the X-Division Champion. Both Styles and Angle watched from their respective corners, blood dripping off their faces, as Terry power bombed Cole. But, just before Terry was able to made the cover, the bell sounded, and the referee ended the match as a draw. After the match, with Terry and Cole still in the ring, Angle and Styles reentered and continued their fight as the timekeeper repeatedly rang the bell. All four men brawled inside the ring, much to the delight of the crowd, until HWL officials showed up and broke them apart. Josh and Scott said that it didn’t look like things were over between Angle and Styles, and there was the extra caveat of Maldonado’s disappearance. ANARCHY went off the air with Cole and Terry standing outside, at other ends of the ring, while Styles and Angle were restrained by officials. Should be a good match, but I can't see any way Kaz walks out of the PPV as the champ.
Beating one of the tag champs should be a good boost for Sebei. And Hagadorn passes Corino a note. My guess? Love letter.
Well that just wasn't very nice, Hamada...
Natalya sure beat the crap out of Nikki Bella... yikes.
Pretty uneventful promo from Cole. He's cocky and he's champ. The interesting part will come with who steps up now to try to shut him up.
Damn good match with Rhodes & Hero, on free tv no less. Rhodes/Maldonado has reached its peak - that feud is ready to be settled at Caged Rage, hopefully with a lot of blood.
Morgan feels a little lost in the shuffle right now. I hope he gets in a program soon. He's too good not to be.
At least after the angle earlier, it's very easy to explain Maldonado's no-show. Good match. Would have liked a winner, but you built some things up moving forward, so mission accomplished with the main event.

Monday Night Anarchy November 28, 2011 FedEx Forum - Memphis, Tennessee Attendance: 10,509 (58%) PUNK SCHOOLS ANGLE ANARCHY begins as beat-up, mid-90’s Ford Taurus pulls into the parking lot. The car comes to a stop, and CM PUNK appears from the driver’s seat, placing the Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. As Punk walks away from the car, he is approached by KURT ANGLE, just feet from the Forum’s entrance. Angle tells Punk that he should be counting his blessings - or whatever Punk does when luck’s on his side - because they both know that the Heavyweight Title should be over his shoulder. Angle says that he had AJ Styles beat, at WICKED GAMES, and that Punk snuck in and pinned him. Angle says that he did all the work in that match, and that Punk is reaping the reward. Angle looks at Punk and says that he should be the Heavyweight Champion. Punk, nodding his head, agrees with Angle. He says that Kurt did do most of the work at WICKED GAMES, but that he didn’t think about the fact that he had only taken out one guy - not both. Punk says that, if the rolls were reversed, Angle would have done the exact same thing; he tells Angle that he’s lying to himself if he says otherwise. Punk then says that no matter what the circumstance could have been, Angle should know that there’s a difference between “should be Heavyweight Champion” and “IS Heavyweight Champion.” Punk slaps Angle on the shoulder, before walking off-camera, as Angle fumes. “Headstrong” plays through the Forum as fireworks shoot through the air. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Memphis, just over three weeks away from the final pay-per-view of 2011: CAGED RAGE. In tonight’s main event, David Otunga will step into the ring against the man that started off the show: Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk, in a non-title contest. Also tonight, after substituting for Martin Maldonado, X-Division Champion Adam Cole will face Eddie Edwards in a non-title match. And, speaking of Martin Maldonado, Scott says that they have attained security camera footage from the arena in Raleigh, and are going to show it right now. The video shows Maldonado, stretching in a hallways backstage, when CODY RHODES attacks him from behind. The surprised catches Maldonado off guard, and Rhodes connects with a stiff elbow to the crown of Martin’s head. Rhodes continues the assault, using anything he can find. Finally, Rhodes pulls a fire extinguisher from the wall, and bounces it off Maldonado’s head, flooring the big man. Rhodes, for good measure, sprays the extinguisher over Maldonado’s body, before leaving the scene. Scott Daniels says that, because of the attack, Martin Maldonado is not in Memphis tonight. Scott then announces that that first match of the night - Brutus Magnus versus Alex Shelley - will take place after the break. Commercial BreakBrutus Magnus defeated Alex Shelley by countout in 0:17:47. Rating: ** ¾After upsetting the number-one ranked entrant in the Wicked Games Tournament, Brutus Magnus came up just short in the second around against “The Viper” Randy Orton. He looked to rebound from that loss tonight, but Alex Shelley was willing to show the fans that he was still a viable part of the HWL roster. This match went back and forth from the bell, with Magnus starting on the offensive. The tide turned, though, when Shelley connected with a swinging neck breaker for a two-count. Shelley stayed on Magnus throughout the match, trying to wear the bigger man down. Shelly connected with the Sliced Bread #2, but Magnus managed to kick out after only a one-count. Shelly tossed Magnus outside the ring, where he whipped Magnus into the ring post. Shaken, but still on his feet, Magnus was able to dodge a clothesline attempt, hitting a neck breaker onto the concrete floor. With the referee’s count nearing 10, Magnus mustered up the strength to lift Shelley into the air with a Gorilla Press. Magnus then dropped Shelley across the ring steps before rolling into the ring, as the referee counted to ten. Commercial BreakJEFF HARDY is seen, standing in the ring, as ANARCHY returns from the break. Hardy says that he had everything planned out heading into Wicked Games. He says his future looked bright in his eyes, especially with the possibility of facing CM Punk at Caged Rage for the Heavyweight Title. Hardy says that he has no doubt that he would on to defeat Punk, just like he had done in the past. But, Hardy says that his dreams were derailed in an instant, when Shane Hagadorn interfered in his match against David Otunga. Hardy says that Otunga went on to the Finals, but Otunga knows he wouldn’t have made it that far if Hagadorn didn’t low blow Hardy. Hardy says that he wants to prove that Otunga can’t beat him without help, and issues a challenge for next week. Randy Orton pinned Jeff Hardy with the RKO in 0:16:04. Rating: ****Jeff Hardy came out determined to send a message to David Otunga tonight. He would get that chance against “The Viper”, who was just one match away from being in the finals of the Wicked Games Tournament. Orton came out aggressive, clearly still upset about coming so close to a number-one contenders spot, and took that aggression out on Hardy. But, Hardy wasn’t going to go down lightly, as he used his aerial skills to keep things interesting for the fans, even using a jumping off a chair and hitting spinning leg kick to Orton. The second time Hardy used the chair, he brought Orton down with spinning leg scissors, which set Orton up for the Swanton Bomb. Hardy connected, but Orton was able to kick out just before three-count. As Hardy got to his feet, he noticed DAVID OTUNGA standing on the stage. Hardy started calling Otunga to the ring, not wanting to wait until next week. This gave Orton enough time to recover, and as Hardy turned around, Orton connected with the RKO. Orton made the cover as Otunga looked on smiling. After the match, Orton rolled to his knees, and looked at Otunga. Otunga returned the look and clapped his hands before saying that, if Hardy could hear him, he accepted the challenge for next week. Otunga then dropped his microphone and clapped, telling Orton “good match”, before leaving the stage. Commercial BreakUNFINISHED BUSINESS As Anarchy returns, CODY RHODES makes his way down to the ring, as Josh and Scott review what took place last week after Rhodes’s match with Chris Hero; and the heinous backstage attack that Rhodes inflicted on Martin Maldonado. Inside the ring, Rhodes says that, for weeks, he has been trying to come to terms with the fact that he is far removed from the Heavyweight Title; that someone else is both holding the title and challenging for it at Caged Rage. Rhodes says that those concepts are hard to wrap his mind around, when he has been spending his time trying to rid the HWL of the man who cost him the title in the first place. Rhodes says that he had his chance to do just that - and to become the number one contender - at Wicked Games; but he says that he just didn’t have what it took to put Maldonado away. In the hours after Wicked Games, Rhodes says that he thought of a number of ways he could finish the job, but he didn’t want to lower himself to the standards that Maldonado and Kurt Angle strive for. He says that he made his decision before his match with Chris Hero last week, but that his decision pushed aside after Maldonado attacked him. Rhodes says that he is bruised and sore from the attack, but not nearly as bad as Maldonado is, because he’s here and Maldonado is laid up in a hotel room in Raleigh, North Carolina. Rhodes says that, what happened last week, was just a preview, a taste of what Maldonado has in store for him. Smiling, Rhodes says that there’s only one way he can satisfy both his needs: getting his redemption and ridding the HWL of Maldonado. Rhodes says that, in three weeks, at Caged Rage, he is offering Maldonado one last chance to finish the job AJ Styles hired him to do. One last match, Rhodes says, to see if Maldonado can do to him what he was unable to do to Randy Orton. Rhodes says that, as Maldonado lies in bed, feeling pain with every move of his body, he knows he wants this match. And, because of that, Rhodes says that he will see Maldonado in Providence on December 18th. Rhodes drops the microphone, while the crowd looks on in stunned silence, as Josh and Scott discuss the “new side” of Cody Rhodes. It’s a “side of Cody we’ve never seen before,” Josh says. Scott wonders, “if Cody can do what he did last week, there’s no telling what he’s capable of when they’ll be locked inside a steel cage!” Commercial BreakEvan Bourne & Kaz defeated Colt Cabana and Yoshi Tatsu when Kaz defeated Y. Tatsu by countout in 0:06:26. Rating: ** ¾The number-one contender was in action tonight, teaming up with Evan Bourne to take on his former partner, Yoshi Tatsu and Colt Cabana. As it was to be expected, this match was a showcase of high speed and aerial risks. In a short contest, there was a lot of action, especially when Tatsu and Kaz were in the ring together. These two know each other well from their past partnership., so it was surprising to see the aggressiveness that Kaz showed as he hit an atomic drop on the concrete outside the ring, jarring his former partner. Inside the ring Bourne and Cabana were brawling, as Kaz whipped Yoshi into the ring steps. Kaz rolled back into the ring, as Bourne tossed Cabana over the top rope, and the referee counted Yoshi out. Josh Daniels says that he never would’ve expected to see a display like that from Kaz, so he must be trying to send a message to Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, that he’s not going to back down as they head into their match at Caged Rage. Commercial BreakQUESTIONING TRUST Backstage, DAVID OTUNGA meets CHRIS HERO in the hallway, and they head into the locker room together, confronting SHANE HAGADORN, who is seated in the corner. Hero says that he has known Hag adorn a long time, and that he has never seen him act the way he’s acted over the past couple weeks. Hero says he wants to know what’s going on, because he doesn’t like not being to trust the man who’s job it is to make sure nothing happens to him. Otunga says that he and Hero had been talking all week long, trying to figure out what purpose Hagadorn would have coming to ringside during Steve Corino’s match last week. Otunga says that, if there’s something Hagadorn needed to tell them, to do it now, so they could take care of matters “right now”. Startled, his face turning red, Hagadorn tells Chris that his number one priority is him and Otunga. Hagadorn swears that he wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize their trust in him. He says he was ringside, last week, to simply give Corino something to think about. Hagadorn says that he is waiting for a response, but until then Hero and Otunga have nothing to worry about. Hagadorn gets to his feet and pleads with the A-List Knockouts to “trust” him, before walking out of the locker room. [Non-Title Match]: Adam Cole pinned Eddie Edwards with the Panama Sunrise in 0:13:33. Rating: *** ½These two men have had many battles during their time in the HWL, and tonight was no different. Though this match was not fought X-Division rules, Cole tried to push the envelope with the referee, nearly getting himself disqualified. However, using those tactics, he was able to wear down Edwards, and went on the attack for a better part of the match. However, they don’t call Edwards “Die Hard” without reason. Edwards was able to fight back, late in the match, and nearly picked up an upset victory after a DDT in the center of the ring, but Cole was able to kick out before the three-count. Edwards, arguing with the official, was rolled up with an inside cradle, but kicked out at two. Edwards ran into the ropes and attempted a cross body block, but Cole pulled down the top ropes. Edwards crashed hard on the concrete, and Cole was right there to capitalize on the mistake. Cole used everything he could find at ringside to inflict damage on Edwards, but was nearly counted out as the referee’s count hit nine. Cole slide into the ring, with Edwards, barely standing, struggling to enter the ring before the 10-count. Cole was waiting, and when Edwards got to his feet, Cole hit the Panama Sunrise for the 1-2-3. Commercial Break[Non-Title Match]: CM Punk defeated David Otunga by disqualification in 0:02:35. Rating: * ¼ [Shane Hagadorn interfered against CM Punk.]The question heading into this match was whether or not David Otunga could truly trust Shane Hagadorn, and what his manager had in store for him and Chris Hero. Tonight, at least for a moment, it appeared that the answer would be “no”. Otunga started off strong, but the Champion was able to over take him with a series of kicks to the thighs and quick takedowns. Punk set Otunga on the top rope and hit a hurancarana before picking up a two-count. That was the moment Hagadorn had seen enough, and grabbed Punk’s boot, getting the Champ’s attention. The referee quickly called for the bell as Punk stood near the ropes begging for Hagadorn to get inside the ring. By now, back to his feet, Otunga blindsided Punk with a forearm, sending him to the concrete outside. Otunga went outside and began to attack Punk, until KAZ ran down from the back and fought Otunga and Hagadorn off. Kaz stood near the Champion as Hagadorn made his way up the ramp. Otunga followed, a few feet people, shaking his head in either disbelief of disgust. Josh and Scott wondered what Punk would have to say about this next week, and about the assist that his challenge had just given him. They thank everyone for watching as Anarchy goes off the air. This is the Punk I enjoy. He's grown a bit stale in WWE, but this kind of smarmy Punk I think is where he's at his best. Though I don't know if Angle is the one you want to be taunting. He might break one of Punk's pencil legs.
Poor Maldonado. That's what you get for wrestling when you should be getting ready for spring training! Rhodes/Maldonado has to be coming to a head soon. I don't know what else they can do to each other at this point.
I like Magnus, so more of this push, please.
I don't care if there's interference or not - if you can't beat Otunga, Hardy, shut it.
Oh, Hardy, what did you expect to happen? You can't be getting distracted by Otunga? What's the matter with you? You deserved that loss.
Good promo for Cody. They might all be stunned, but Maldonado has to accept the challenge first.
You get a lot of countouts it seems. Your TNM is cursed.
Hagadorn is a shady dude.
Cole has grown on me, both in real life and HWL. Good match.
Well a bit of a downer for a main event, but does leave you wondering what Hagadorn is up to. And Punk/Kaz will be at each other's throats in due time.

Monday Night Anarchy December 5, 2011 Rose Garden - Portland, Oregon Attendance: 15,473 (75%) STILL CONVINCED The show begins as KURT ANGLE makes his way down to the ring, as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels review his confrontation with Heavyweight Champion CM Punk at the start of last week’s show. In the ring, Angle says that everyone in Portland knows that he should be the Heavyweight Champion. He says that CM Punk stole the title away from him, and that he is going to so whatever he can to get the belt back. Angle says that he wants his shot at CM Punk, one-on-one, to prove who the better wrestler is; and to see who the rightful Champion is. But, Angle says, that there is someone standing in his way: Kaz. Angle says that, outside of winning the Wicked Games Tournament, Kaz hasn’t done anything during his time in the HWL, and that alone should take him out of the title match at Caged Rage. Angle then says that he wants to take Kaz out of the match, officially, and challenges Kaz to a number-one contenders match, later tonight! KAZ makes his way onto the stage, and says that Angle just can’t get it through his head that he got beat by someone better at Wicked Games. He tells Angle that now, because he can’t admit that, he’s going to try to get his way. Kaz says he doesn’t want to give Punk a huge ego, but that credit is deserved; and that Angle needs to live with that. But, Kaz says that, because Angle doesn’t think he deserves to be number-one contender, that he will accept Angle’s challenge, and meet him in the main event. Kaz then leaves the stage, as Angle stands in the ring, smiling, and Anarchy goes to commercials. Commercial BreakDavid Otunga pinned Jeff Hardy with the Verdict in 0:13:57. Rating: *** ½David Otunga came into this match, after having beaten Jeff Hardy at Wicked Games - no thanks to Shane Hagadorn’s interference - and a week after costing Hardy a match against Randy Orton, looking confident. But, he was not expecting the offense that Hardy came out with at the start of the match. Hardy looked impressive, using his speed - and chairs - to take Otunga off his game. Just a couple weeks before Caged Rage, Otunga was still waiting to hear about a match-up for him and his partner Chris Hero; but based on how he looked at the early going of this match, anyone would’ve taken him up on the offer. But, things quickly changed as Otunga caught Hardy in a power slam, getting a two-count. Otunga then took Hardy outside the ring, and used everything in sight to wear him down. Back in the ring, Otunga locked in a choke hold - coming very close to getting himself disqualified - before hitting the Verdict for the 1-2-3. After the match, Otunga left the ring, celebrating as Shane Hagadorn followed suit. Commercial BreakHAMADA HAS A DEMAND As Anarchy returns, Peter Bradshaw is shown in his office, as Hamada storms in. Speaking in broken English, Hamada tells Bradshaw that she is tired of Daffney attacking her, just because Daffney knows she’s not as good a wrestler as Hamada. She says that, last week, her payback wasn’t enough, and she wants to face Daffney at Caged Rage. Bradshaw, thinking of the possibilities, tells Hamada that if it’s what she wants, he can’t deny the fans a match that they want to see. Bradshaw signs the match for December 18th. [Non-Title Match]: Daffney pinned Velvet Sky with the Lobotomy in 0:14:34. Rating: ** ¾“The Demonic Princess” has found herself rather busy as of the last couple weeks, with her on-going feud with newcomer, Hamada. Earlier tonight, we saw Hamada demand a match against Daffney at Caged Rage, but her hands will full tonight with the Women’s Champion, Velvet Sky. These two Vixens have had a very storied past, as they traded the Women’s Title during the start of 2011. They’ve grown to know a lot about the other, and tonight, there were plenty of counters and re-counters, as both women jockeyed for position. Velvet went for the Beauty Mark, but Daffney was able to roll out of the ring. Velvet rolled out too, giving chase, as Daffney rolled back into the ring, attacked the Champion as she re-entered. Daffney wasted no time in hitting the Lobotomy to pick up the upset victory. After the match, Daffney grabbed a microphone and said that she say Hamada’s little “demand”, and that a match at Caged Rage would be the perfect change for Daffney to avenge her loss. Daffney warned Hamada that she didn’t know what she was getting into, before dropping the microphone and heading to the back. Commercial BreakMARTIN MALDONADO RETURNS As Anarchy returns, a preview for CAGED RAGE is shown, highlighting the Heavyweight Title Match between Kaz and CM Punk. After the preview, Josh Daniels says that, as of right now Kaz is still the challenger for the Heavyweight Title, but that could all change, later tonight, when he faces Kurt Angle. The commentary is interrupted as MARTIN MALDONADO's music plays, and he walks on-stage, bandaged. Daniels reminds the fans that Maldonado was viciously attacked backstage by Cody Rhodes, after Maldonado had attacked Rhodes after his match two weeks ago. Scott Michaels says that Maldonado was just sending a message, and that Cody Rhodes took it too far. In the ring, Maldonado says that he has had two weeks to heal from his injuries - though his doctors still feel another week off would do him well - and to think about what has happened since has come to the HWL. But, he says, there was one thing that he couldn't get his mind off: Cody Rhodes, and paying him back for putting him out of action last week. Maldonado was quick to accept Cody's challenge at Caged Rage, saying that December 18th would basically be "legalized killing". Maldonado says that nothing matters more to him then putting Rhodes out of action indefinitely. Maldonado says that he has no goals of becoming Heavyweight Champion, X-Division Champion, or anything else. He only goal is to end Cody Rhodes's career. Maldonado says that Rhodes better prepare himself for a future without wrestling, before promising that Rhodes "will never leave that cage!" Maldonado throws down the microphone, and leaves the ring, as Daniels says that Maldonado looks and sounds determined; and that it might have something to do with his ego being tarnished by the attack. Michaels says Maldonado's ego isn't tarnished at all, because Rhodes attacked him from behind; and that Maldonado is just ready to fight. Commercial Break[Non-Title Match]: Steve Corino & Eddie Edwards defeated The Conglomerate (Matt Morgan & Rob Terry) when E. Edwards defeated M. Morgan by countout in 0:17:07. Rating: * ½On paper, this match should have easily gone to Morgan and Terry. They were the bigger, stronger men in the match, and with “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair in their corner, they’d have an arsenal of tricks of their sleeves. But, Corino and Edwards are the Tag Team Champions for a reason: because they won’t give up in the face of adversity. They came out taking the fight to The Conglomerate, stunning them into minimal offense for at the beginning of the match. But, soon, Morgan and Terry’s power started to turn things in their favor. Morgan and Terry have been looking for consistent wins here as of late, and it looked like they were about to take a big step in the right direction, until Morgan went for the Carbon Footprint outside the ring, only to hang himself on the guardrail after Edwards moved out of the way. Edwards connected with a super kick before entering the ring, and the Champions picked up a huge victory as the referee counted Morgan out. Commercial BreakHAGADORN HAS BIG NEWS Backstage, DAVID OTUNGA and CHRIS HERO are seen celebrating Otunga's victory over Jeff Hardy earlier in the evening. Their celebration is interrupted as Shane Hagadorn enters the locker room, with a huge smile on his face. Otunga wants to know what Hagadorn is happy about, and Hagadorn wastes no time in telling them. He tells Otunga and Hero that he has finally made up for his mistake a few weeks ago, and that they don't need to thank him. He informs them that Eddie Edwards and Steve Corino have agreed to put the Tag Team Titles on the line at Caged Rage! Hagadorn leaves the locker room, celebrating his surprise, as Hero and Otunga look on with smug smirks on their faces. Daniels and Michaels agree that tonight has been filled with huge matches being signed for December 18th. Daniels says that Caged Rage is shaping up to be a huge way to end 2011. Rami Sebei pinned Luke Gallows after a small package in 0:10:26. Rating: ** ½Rami Sebei has been quietly making a name for himself since his surprise main event against AJ Styles back in July. He is quickly gaining traction in the X Division, where there are a few unanswered questions about who is fitting enough to challenge Adam Cole for the title at Caged Rage. Rami came out tonight, hoping to impress the fans, and further his claim to be number-one contender. But, he was going to have his hands full as Luke Gallows was introduced to the crowd. It’s been almost a year since Gallows was last seen in the HWL, when he - along with Serena - were having issues with CM Punk. There’s not telling what Punk was thinking when his former bodyguard returned, but he had to notice that Gallows looked like he hadn’t missed a step. He used his size and strength advantage to hit a number of power moves on Sebei, but Sebei’s perseverance prevailed, as he was able to outlast Gallows with his speed, tiring out the bigger man. After ducking a week clothesline attempt, Sebei rolled Gallows up in a small package for the 1-2-3! After the match, with the crowd going crazy, Sebei rolled out of the ring, and said that he wanted to challenge Adam Cole for the X-Division Title at Caged Rage! Daniels said that, as of right now, there is no one better to challenge the Champion. And, if Cole accepts the challenge, there’s not telling what they would do inside a steel cage! Michaels said that Cole has been foaming at the mouth for a challenge, and now he has something - or someone - to sink his teeth into. Commercial Break[Number-One Contenders Match]: Kaz defeated Kurt Angle by countout in 0:17:38. Rating: *** ¼Kurt Angle was determined to get himself back into the Heavyweight Title Match at Caged Rage, but his road went through Kaz tonight in Portland. It was a year ago, at Caged Raged in 2010, that Kaz and Angle stepped into the ring with the title on the line, as part of a Triple Threat Match, that saw Angle walk away victorious. Daniels and Michaels made sure to mention that there was no love lost between these two men. And, they showed it as well. This match was nothing but a fight. And, it showed the HWL fans that there is a different side to Kaz that hasn’t been seen too often, as he traded blow-by-blow with the Olympic Gold Medalist, causing Angle to get off his game early on in the match. Both men would eventually land their finishers on the other, but both times, Kaz and Angle were able to somehow kick out. The end of the match saw Angle and Kaz brawling outside the ring. Angle dropped Kaz with a body slam onto the concrete, before heading up to the turnbuckles, taunting the crowd - saying that he would soon be Heavyweight Champion again. The time wasted allowed Kaz to roll out of the way as Angle came off the turnbuckle with a high-impact move, crashing down to the concrete! Slowly, Kaz rolled into the ring, as the referee counted Angle out. After the match, Kaz used the ropes to get to his feet as Daniels said that, if he didn’t deserve a title shot after winning the Wicked Games Tournament, that Kaz “earned” his shot tonight. Michaels was quick to say that the match could’ve gone either way; and that the outcome would’ve been a lot different had Angle landed his attempt outside the ring. Just then, AJ STYLES jumps over the barricade, tending to Angle, helping him get back to his feet. As Angle begins to get his bearings back, Styles whips him into the steel ring steps! Styles assaults Angle - as the crowd looks on in shock - as HWL officials rush down to the ring. Daniels and Michaels are speechless, saying that they don’t understand Styles’s motives, but that hopefully they will find out more next week. Anarchy goes of the air as Styles is hauled off by officials. Kaz NEEDS this win. To me, his credibility as #1 contender is a bit shaky, but a win over Angle in the main event fixes that in a hurry.
Wow... Otunga beats Hardy clean.
I like Hamada, so the more we can see her, the better.
After Daffney beats Velvet like that, maybe Hamada should reconsider.
Maldonado is back after a short hiatus, and the feud with Rhodes is coming to an end one way or another at Caged Rage.
I know I harp on your countouts sometimes, but this one I was okay with. Morgan & Terry are big and strong and scary, so no shame in beating them by countout.
No way Hagadorn doesn't turn on the A-List Knockouts at the PPV. He's a shady businessman, he is.
Well that's not how you want to return, Gallows. The former El Generico looks poised to challenge for the X Title though. That should be a really good match.
And this is an instance when that countout didn't work for me. To me, Kaz *needed* a clean pinfall win over Angle. I just don't buy Kaz having a chance to win the title at this point.

Monday Night Anarchy December 12, 2011 Key Arena - Seattle, Washington Attendance: 7,181 (42%) AN OFFER IS GIVEN The show started off with the Number-One Contender, KAZ, walking through the backstage area, when he is approached by Heavyweight Champion, CM PUNK. Punk said that he was impressed by Kaz's victory over Kurt Angle last week and that he "might be peaking at the right time". But reminded Kaz that he beat the man who thinks he "should" be Heavyweight Champion... not the man who "is" Heavyweight Champion. Kaz said that he doesn't care who "should be" or who "is" Heavyweight Champion; and that last week Kurt Angle underestimated him. He said that he's been under the radar for a while, but that he's just as dangerous in the ring as anyone else. Kaz said that he hoped Punk's ego wasn't so big that he wouldn't make the same mistake that Angle did. Punk said the last thing Kaz needed to worry about was Punk's ego; and that Punk knows better than to underestimate anyone. But, Punk said that if Kaz wanted to get a first-hand look at what the Heavyweight Champion could do in the ring, then he would save him a seat at ringside for tonight's main event. Kaz accepted the invitation, and said he hoped the pressure of having him at ringside wouldn't be too much for the "Best in the World". Kaz walked off as Punk stood, staring... Commercial BreakJosh Daniels and Scott Michaels said that the confrontation put a very tense vibe on the show, and it was just starting! Just six days away from the final pay-per-view event of 2011, and Daniels and Michaels welcomed the at-home audience to the great Northwest. Tonight, there were going to be five matches on the last Anarchy before Caged Rage, including The A-List Knockouts - the hopeful Number One Contenders for the Tag Team Titles - in action; and, as it was announced moments ago, Heavyweight Champion CM Punk will be in the main event, taking on "The Viper" Randy Orton. Daniels sent it to the ring for the night's first match. Brutus Magnus vs. Evan BourneWhat a way to start off the program! Both Magnus and Bourne came into this match after picking up victories, two weeks ago in Memphis, and both trying to prove that they were worthy of more attention on the roster. They certainly proved that point here tonight. This match was a back and forth contest, but it ended up being more of a struggle of Bourne, as Magnus resorted - on more than one occasion - to using choke holds to wear him down. Magnus would utilize the referee’s five-count, always breaking the holds before being disqualified, and the tactic proved to be beneficial. Bourne, constantly trying to catch his breath, was able to use his quickness to get in some offense, hitting multiple moonsaults, but only picking up two-counts. After another chokehold, Magnus was able to regain control of the match, powerslamming Bourne to the canvas, and only getting a two-count. Brutus argued with the official, accusing him of making a slow count, and then went on a rampage, never allowing Bourne any chance of offense. Brutus ended the onslaught with a power bomb for the 1-2-3. Brutus Magnus pinned Evan Bourne after a power bomb in 0:20:59. Rating: **** After the match, Magnus got to his feet, exhausted from the match as the referee raised his hand in victory. Magnus jerked his hand away from the officials and pushed him to the canvas! Magnus backed the official into the corner, screaming that the match should’ve been over sooner. Magnus stomped on the official before leaving the ring to an arousing roar of boos. Daniels wondered what had gotten into Magnus, while Michaels said that he’s clearly frustrated by not having a bigger impact; and that he just made his impact known tonight. Commercial BreakCOLE ACCEPTS CHALLENGE Alisha Hicks is seen backstage with RAMI SEBEI. Hicks asked Sebei about his challenge to X-Division Champion Adam Cole for this Sunday night at Caged Rage. Sebei said that he had been bouncing around the roster since his one big shot, against AJ Styles, for the Heavyweight Title. He said that he had felt overlooked, even though he proved that he could hang with the top contenders in the HWL. Sebei said that he just felt that, over the past couple weeks, his was his time to make a name for himself. So, he said, after his victory last week, he wanted another chance to challenge for a title. Sebei said that Cole had six days to accept his challenge... And, as if on cue, ADAM COLE attacked Sebei from behind, with the Title belt, causing Alisha to scurry from the scene. Cole continued his assault by whipping Sebei into the brick wall in the hallway. The sound of bones smacking brick filled the area, as Sebei slumped down to the ground. Cole stomped on Sebei, before getting inches from his face, and accepting the challenge for Caged Rage. Cole then walked away from the scene as Alisha returned to check on Sebei. Back at ringside, Daniels said that Cole had lost his mind. He had already put Evan Bourne on the shelf with an injured arm earlier this year, and now he had turned his attention to Sebei, his challenger this Sunday. Michaels said that COle might beg to differ with Josh; that he hadn't "lost his mind", but maybe he was trying to send a message. Daniels said he thought Sebei got the message "loud and clear". Natalya vs. HamadaLast week, Hamada demanded a match against “The Demonic Princess” Daffney at Caged Rage. She then had to sit back and watch as Daffney picked up a victory over her fierce rival - and current Women’s Champion - Velvet Sky. Tonight, is was Hamada’s turn to send a message as she stepped into the ring against the longest-reigning Women’s Champion in HWL history, Natalya. Hamada shocked everyone in attendance - but most importantly - Natalya, as she came out with a flurry of offense. The match quickly went outside, where Hamada whipped Natalya into the guardrail, before dropping her face-first into the concrete with a Jumping DDT! Hamada rolled back into the ring as the referee counted out the former Champion. Hamada defeated Natalya by countout in 0:02:18. Rating: ** ¾Commercial BreakAs Anarchy returned, Daniels and Michaels went over a recap of the first-ever live telecast of Premiere Championship Wrestling on the NBC Sports Netork last Tuesday night. The night was highlighting by Jay Lethal and Daniel Bryan defeating Beer Money in a Strap Match to become the new Tag Team Champions. AJ STYLES ISSUES CHALLENGE After the recap, AJ STYLES made his way to the ring, flanked by the other members of The Conglomerate. Daniels said that there had been a lot of speculation as to what Styles would have to say about his attack on Kurt Angle last week. Inside the ring, Styles said that the past few weeks had been a struggle for him, since losing the Heavyweight Title, because the only thing he could think of was that Kurt Angle was hired to do a job... and he did everything but! Styles said that, if it weren't for Angle, he'd be standing in the center of the ring as the Heavyweight Champion - not CM Punk. Styles then demanded that Angle meet him in the ring. After a few tense moments, KURT ANGLE made his way to the ring, getting to Styles's face. Angle grabbed the microphone from AJ, and said that he did exactly what he was paid to do: he kept Cody Rhodes from becoming Champion. "That was my job, and I did it." After that, Angle said, it was time for AJ to hold up his end of the deal - which he did - and Angle had no obligation to "safe" him. Angle again said that AJ, Punk and everyone in Seattle, knew that he be the rightful Champion. Styles grabbed the microphone back from Angle and said that if anyone should be "rightful Champion", it should be the former Champ. After moment of pause, Styles said that he was willing to put his rematch clause on the line at Caged Rage, if Angle was willing to keep his mouth shut if he lost... Angle quickly agreed, and out of nowhere punched Styles, and the two men began brawling in the ring. Their fight went over all the ring, and spilled out into the ringside area, causing Daniels and Michaels to leave the announce table. Finally, HWL officials rushed down and broke up the brawl, as Daniels said that Angle and Styles will have a lot to settle in just six days, in Providence. Anarchy went to commercials as Angle and Styles are restrained from each other. Commercial BreakColt Cabana/Yoshi Tatsu vs. The A-List Knockouts (Chris Hero/David Otunga) (w/Shane Hagadorn)The A-List Knockouts have been on a roll as of late, all in the hopes of getting the attention of the Tag Team Champions Eddie Edwards and Steve Corino. With six days left until Caged Rage, this was their last chance to send a message. Chris Hero hasn’t seen much action lately, but David Otunga came in on a high note, beating Jeff Hardy last week - for the second time in a month; whereas Cabana and Tatsu came into this match after a loss to Evan Bourne and Kaz two weeks ago. If Otunga and Hero were hoping to send a message to the Champions tonight, they came across the wrong team to do it. Cabana and Tatsu came prepared to fight, and that’s exactly what they did, stunning the hopeful number one contenders with their offense. Tatsu showed a technical side that he hadn’t previously shown, locking Hero in a multitude of submission moves throughout the match. Sensing danger, Shane Hagadorn jumped onto the apron and distracted the referee, allowing Hero to connect with a low blow, turning the tide in their favor. Colt Cabana jumped off the apron and chased Hagadorn up the ramp, as Tatsu fell victim to the Hero’s Welcome for the 1-2-3. The A-List Knockouts (Chris Hero & David Otunga) defeated Colt Cabana & Yoshi Tatsu when Hero pinned Tatsu with the Hero’s Welcome in 0:17:47. Rating: *** ½ [Shane Hagadorn interfered against Yoshi Tatsu & Colt Cabana.]When the bell sounded, CABANA stopped and turned towards the ring, to see that Hero and Otunga were announced the winners. Furious, Cabana turned to go after Hagadorn, but he was nowhere to be seen. Daniels said that Hagadorn’s tactic are getting more and more controversial, but somehow they keep helping Hero and Otunga win. Michaels says that it’s not Hagadorn’s fault that his ideas are good; he’s just making up for costing them the Tag Team Titles. Commercial BreakPAYMENT REVEALED As Anarchy returned from the break, CHRIS HERO and DAVID OTUNGA are seen backstage, celebrating their victory earlier in the show, when SHANE HAGADORN appears with a huge smile on his face. Hero and Otunga ask him where he'd been, and Hagadorn said that he was off making sure tonight ended on a high note. Hero and Otunga said that they won their match, so their nights were going to end well, but Hagadorn said that it got better. Hagadorn told them that he just heard back from Steve Corino and Eddie Edwards, and that they have agreed to put the belts on the line, this Sunday night, at Caged Rage! Hagadorn said that he had finally repaid his debt to them, and hoped that they could trust him from now on. The three of them congratulated each other as Daniels announced that all three Titles were not going to be defended this Sunday night. Non-Title Match Alex Shelley vs. © Adam ColeTwo weeks ago, these two men had different results in their matches, as Alex Shelley lost to Brutus Magnus, and Adam Cole defeated Eddie Edwards in a Non-Title Match. It’s hadn’t been lost that these two did battle over the X-Division Title over the Summer, with Shelley walking away victorious; and it was obvious that another victory over Cole would’ve been a huge boost to Shelley’s self-esteem. Shelley did all that he could to get the better of the Champion, but for everything Shelley threw at him, Cole had a counter. Shelley did get in some offense throughout the match, but towards the end, it started playing a toll on his psyche - not being able to put Cole away. After a power slam pinfall attempt that ended in a two-count, Shelley had had enough, as he grabbed the referee and tossed him over the top rope. He stood at the ropes, taunting the referee, as Cole got to his feet and stunned Cole with the Panama Sunrise! Slowly the referee got to his feet, calling for the bell, and awarding the match to the X-Division Champion. [Non-Title Match]: Adam Cole defeated Alex Shelley by disqualification in 0:10:19. Rating: ***After the match, Cole rolled out of the ring, and grabbed his Title belt before heading up the ramp. As he made his way to the stage, RAMI SEBEI came from backstage, and attacked Cole on the ramp! The crowd went crazy as the two men started brawling in the aisle. Sebei started to get the upper hand, but HWL officials rushed to the scene and separated the two, as Daniels and Michaels agreed that, Sunday inside the steel cage, these two were going to tear each other apart. Commercial BreakNon-Title Match Randy Orton vs. © CM PunkBefore the main event, the Number-One Contender, KAZ, was introduced to the crowd, as he made his way to the broadcast table as a guest of Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk. Kaz said that he was excited to see if Punk could back up his words from earlier tonight, and that he wasn’t hoping for Orton to win, but to see Punk get a fight; because that’s what Kaz is going to give him in six days. When introduced, RANDY ORTON appeared poised for an upset, after coming within one match of facing Punk at Caged Rage - falling to Kaz in the Finals. When Punk was introduced, he made it very clear to Kaz that he was Heavyweight Champion, walking over to the broadcast table and holding the title in front of Kaz’s face. Punk told Daniels and Michaels that he was the “Best in the World”, before sliding into the ring to start the match. After the bell sounded, Punk came out with a flurry of punches and kicks, stunning Orton. Then, in a move that shocked the crowd, Punk tricked the referee into thinking that Kaz was going to interfere, which gave Punk enough time to low blow Orton and lock in a side headlock. Bringing Orton over to the ropes, in front of the announce table, Punk tightened the hold, taunting Kaz. Punk’s grip was enough to force Orton to pass out, and the referee called for the bell. [Non-Title Match]: CM Punk made Randy Orton submit to a side headlock in 0:01:08. Rating: **Punk released the hold, and Orton’s body dropped to the canvas, as Punk rolled out of the ring, “All in a day’s work,” Punk said as he walked past Kaz at the announce table, grabbing the Heavyweight Title and heading back up the ramp. Daniels said he was shocked by what he just witnessed, and asked Kaz what was going through his mind. Kaz said that it’s just something else he has to prepare for, but that he should be ready for anything Punk has to offer in six days. Michaels warns Kaz to beware of the side headlock, as Daniels thanks everyone for watching, and Anarchy goes of the air. Hey it jumped out. I was trying to imagine something like that in my head. I loved Kaz comment. "Its just something else I have to prepare for."
Well played.

Doing your best to build up Kaz as a real threat. Not quite there, but it will be a great match at least. Good win for Magnus. He had to work for it, so he looked impressive once he got his hand raised. Though an "arousing" roar of boos is dirty. X Title match should be really good too, though Sebei just got his ass beat here. He better bring some of that kind of fire to the PPV or he's in trouble. Vicious move with that Jumping DDT but c'mon Hamada, roll her in the ring. A countout victory just doesn't send the same message as a pinfall does. Can't complain about seeing more Angle/Styles matches! A-List Knockouts get a big going into the PPV, but it took them nearly 18 minutes to beat essentially a JTTS team? Ouch. Will need to bring it more than that to win the titles back, boys. And Shelley foolishly gets himself DQ'ed. Poor emotional Shelley. Glad to see Sebei got some of his heat back on Cole. I know you just took what TNM gave you, but that finish was brutal. No one has lost to a side headlock since 1931. Though Punk looking strong going into the PPV is the right move, it will now be impossible for me to take Orton seriously as a threat after he just lost cleanly to a side headlock.

HWL Caged Rage PPV December 18, 2011 Dunkin Donuts Center - Providence, Rhode Island Attendance: 8,056 (62%) A video montage is shown of the Superstars taking part in tonight’s event, as “Public Enemy No. 1” by Megadeath plays in the background. The video ends with a picture of HWL Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk, holding the title belt over his shoulder. As the video ends, the exterior of the Dunkin Donuts Center is shown, with the marquee announcing “HWL Caged Rage - Tonight!” Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Providence, as pyrotechnics shoot through the air and the crowd screams all around. Sitting in the middle of the arena, is the ring, surrounded by the steel cage. Daniels says that “tonight is one of the most brutal nights on the HWL calendar.” Michaels adds that “the men and women that step into this ring will walked out changed people… no matter what the outcome.” They go over the lineup for tonight, before sending things down to the ring. Steel Cage Match: Hamada vs. DaffneyThe feud started a few weeks back, when Daffney was “upset” by Hamada, and claimed that she would get her revenge. The weeks following their match-up, both Vixens did whatever they could to get inside each other’s mind, even to the point of an all-out brawl backstage. Tonight, there was nowhere to run or hide; and Daffney was given her best chance at exacting her “revenge”. “The Demonic Princess” had a difficult time with that task, as Hamada came out very strong in her first pay-per-view appearance for the HWL. Both women hit huge moves throughout the match, including a hurancarana by Daffney from the side of the cage. Hamada got her big move in, as Daffney tried another huranacarana, but that one was countered into a top-rope power bomb! Hamada seemingly, also had to fight slow counts from the referee, but it wasn’t enough to deter her. The end of the match saw Hamada connect with a moonsault, before exiting the cage to a huge cheer from the crowd. Hamada defeated Daffney by escaping the cage in 0:13:08. Rating: **** ¼After the match, Hamada celebrated the victory, holding his stomach, as she made her way up the ramp. Inside the ring, the referee tended to Daffney, who shrugged him off and slowly got to her feet. She grabbed hold of the ropes and let out a blood-curdling scream before staring evilly at the referee. She exited the ring, limping, and also made her way up the ramp. UP FOR THE CHALLENGE Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with RAMI SEBEI, has he was just moments away from the X-Division Title Match against Adam Cole. Sebei said that he had felt Cole’s vicious streak, first hand, and that Cole had proven himself as a worthy X-Division Champion. But, Sebei said, that he had spent the better part of his career putting his body on the line - even when no titles were on the line. He said that, because of his history in “hardcore” matches, a cage match against Cole would be a “great way to prove himself and walk away as the new Champion.” SURPRISE… AND A PROMISE Also backstage, Ted Hanson was seen with THE A-LIST KNOCKOUTS - David Otunga and Chris Hero. Noticeably absent from the scene was Shane Hagadorn. Both men said they were ready to step into the ring with Edwards and Corino, even more so because there was nowhere for them to hide. Hero said that he didn’t think this match was going to happen; and that he was surprised Hagadorn was able to pull it off. Otunga said that he and Hero had been waiting a month to get back into the ring with the champs, and that tonight, the belts would be coming back home, where they belong. Steel Cage Match for X-Division Title: Rami Sebei vs. © Adam ColeIt hadn’t been too long since Rami Sebei tossed his name into the hat of possible contenders for the X-Division Title. But since the day he chose to, he had been on a tear up the X-Division rankings, getting the attention of Adam Cole, who had been looking for a “quality opponent”. The two of them had shared verbal jabs in the days leading up to this match, with neither man gaining the upper hand. Tonight, after the cage door was slammed shut and locked, Sebei came out with every intention on walking away as the new champion. Sebei owned a majority of the offense throughout the match, but Cole was able to counter into a number of moves that appeared to end the match. Cole had enough gusto to climb to the top of the cage and hit a flying clothesline from 18 feet in the air, but the landing seemed to take a lot of whatever energy he had left out. Cole tried to hold on to the advantage after that, but the pounding he took earlier in the match began to take its toll, and he found himself the victim of a Brainbustah! Sebei made the cover for the 1-2-3 and become the new X-Division Champion. [X-Division Title Match:] Rami Sebei pinned Adam Cole with the Brainbustah in 0:14:44. Rating: *** (Rami Sebei won the X-Division Title.)After the match, the referee handed Sebei the X-Division Title as he exited the ring. Josh Daniels said that Sebei had finally achieved his dream of winning gold in the HWL, after coming so close a few months back. Scott Michaels gave credit to Sebei for putting his body on the line to get the title, but promised that Cole would be coming back for it soon enough. THE CHAMPS HAVE NO WORRIES STEVE CORINO and EDDIE EDWARDS are stopped backstage by Ted Hanson, looking to get a statement before they defend their titles. Hanson shared the comments made by Hero and Otunga, which caused the champs to laugh. Corino said that Shane Hagadorn was incompetent, and that he had proven it time and time again. Corino said that after all the work Hagadorn had done to secure this match, he was just setting Hero and Otunga up for failure. Edwards said that it was clear Hero and Otunga had their doubts coming into tonight, and that those doubts would only make it easier for himself and Corino to retain the titles. THE TIME FOR TALKING IS OVER Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with MARTIN MALDONADO and KURT ANGLE. When asked about his match tonight, Maldonado said that he “doesn’t have anything else to say to Cody Rhodes,” and that he was going to let the “destruction” of Rhodes speak for itself. Angle quickly chimed in, and said that after tonight, he and Maldonado were going to be a “force” in the HWL. Angle then looked into the camera and said that CM Punk - if he retains the title tonight - should be on guard “twenty-four, seven”. Steel Cage Match for HWL Tag Team Titles The A-List Knockouts (w/Shane Hagadorn) vs. © Steve Corino/Eddie EdwardsThe culmination of a month’s worth of sweat, blood and hard work finally paid off tonight, as Chris Hero and David Otunga were finally allowed their rematch against the two men who beat them for the Tag Team Titles. Sweet revenge was on the minds of both former champs as they made their way inside the steel cage, wanting nothing more than to exact punishment on Steve Corino and Eddie Edwards. As the officials shut and locked the cage door, Josh Daniels reminded everyone that Shane Hagadorn had - according to his own word - pulled some strings in order to get Hero and Otunga their rematch, after inadvertently costing them their first rematch on an episode of Anarchy. When the bell rang, Hagadorn showed no hesitation as to who he was rooting for tonight: he wanted to see the belts back around the waists of the A-List Knockouts. But things didn’t look good for Hero and Otunga at the beginning of the match, as Corino and Edwards came out with a fury of offense that clearly took the challengers off their game. Corino and Edwards used a number of quick tags to keep each other fresh, and seemingly took pleasure in wearing down one member at a time. But, with the titles on the line, it was going to take more than a physical beating to keep the Knockouts down. Hero and Otunga slowly made their way back into the match, evening things up, and getting the crowd behind them. Outside the ring, Hagadorn’s spirits lifted with each offensive move from his charges. The match turned into an all-out brawl as the time limit neared. Hero and Edwards were brawling across the ring as Otunga and Edwards went at it near the door. Otunga landed a stiff shot before hitting The Verdict near the ropes. Seeing this, Hagadorn quickly opened up the door, leaving an opening for Otunga. But, as Otunga made his way through the ropes, Hagadorn swung the door with all his might, smacking Otunga in the face!! Otunga fell through the ropes, motionless as the crowd went crazy. Across the ring, Hero made his way towards the cage, screaming at Hagadorn, when from behind, Corino connected with a vicious low blow! Laughing, Hagadorn reopened the door as Corino stepped through the ropes and exited the cage. The referee announced Corino and Edwards the winners, as the crowd roared in anger. [Tag Team Title Match]: Steve Corino & Eddie Edwards defeated Chris Hero & David Otunga by escaping the cage in 0:18:15. Rating: **** ½ (Steve Corino & Eddie Edwards retained the HWL Tag Team Titles.)After the match, Corino pulled Edwards out of the ring as Hagadorn ran and grabbed the Tag Titles. Handing the belts to their owners, Hagadorn jumped up and down, celebrating the victory as the fans at ringside tossed trashed into ringside. As the three men began walking up the ramp, Chris Hero pulled himself up to this feet, using the ropes, and stared at Hagadorn as he made his way up the aisle. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels agreed that what they just witnessed might be the biggest travesty ever witnessed in the HWL. Michaels said that even though it’s a travesty, Hagadorn proved that he is a very conniving mastermind. Daniels said that’s true, but that Otunga and Hero were going to do whatever they could to get their hands on him… sooner or later. READY FOR A FIGHT Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with CODY RHODES. Rhodes says that over the past few weeks, Martin Maldonado has started to show his true colors, because everything else that he’s tried has gotten him nothing. Rhodes says that everyone who has required Maldonado’s services have been left unsatisfied, and that Maldonado should think about that as he prepares to step into the cage tonight. Rhodes says that Maldonado stopped him from getting back what should still be his - the HWL Heavyweight Title. And tonight, their feud will come to an end… and when it does, Rhodes will be one step closer to regaining his championship belt, and Maldonado will be one step closer to finding his way out of the HWL. AJ VOWS REVENGE Backstage, Dan Hanson is seen with AJ STYLES and the rest of The Conglomerate. He says that he has never liked the agreement that was made between Kurt Angle and Ric Flair two months ago, because since losing the belt, Angle hasn’t done anything to deserve a shot. Styles says that he’s the only one that should get a rematch, because he was never pinned and never tapped out. He says that he’s putting his rematch clause on the line because he wants to get inside the cage, alone with Angle, and prove to everyone that Angle is not on the same level. The Conglomerate walks away as Daniels says that he has a feeling things are going to get turned up a notch or two as the pay-per-view draws to a close. Steel Cage Match Cody Rhodes vs. Martin MaldonadoThe arena was abuzz with anticipation as Josh and Scott ran down the events that have taken place, leading up to what many feel would be the last match between Cody Rhodes and Martin Maldonado. It all started when Rhodes returned from the injury that cost him to vacate the Heavyweight Title. When he returned, he secured himself a match against new champion, AJ Styles, only to see Maldonado - the hired help from Ric Flair - interfere, costing Rhodes the match and a shot at the title. Daniels and Michaels continued to go over the history between the two men during introductions, and throughout the securing of the cage, saying that Rhodes and Maldonado both seemed more interested in getting each other out of the Heavyweight Title tournament, last month at Wicked Games, then in ever challenging for the title. They both succeeded as their match ended in a draw. With no winner, a rematch was signed for tonight, inside the steel cage. Going in, everyone in attendance knew that this match wasn’t going to be a technical masterpiece, but rather a full out brawl where no one could escape to safety. They were exactly right. Both men came out swinging with everything they had, once the bell rang, and they took turns rocking each other with stiff shots. Early on, it appeared that Maldonado had the match in-hand after hitting a superplex, but he was unable to put Rhodes away with the pinfall attempt. Rhodes was able to eventually fight back, using punches and kicks to take the bigger man off his game. Daniels noted a lack of “big offense” by Rhodes, assuming that Rhodes didn’t want to put his body - or the match - at risk if they came up short. But, what Rhodes did do, was use the steel cage to his advantage, scraping Maldonado’s face against it, causing Maldonado’s forehead to open up. Slowly, blood began dripping from the cut, but as the match continued, it came out more and more rapidly. Michaels said that Rhodes had a clear advantage at this point, because Maldonado couldn’t see. Rhodes took every bit of his aggression out on Maldonado, bringing him into a corner, and pummeling him with kicks to the midsection. Blood began running down Maldonado’s chest and abdomen as Rhodes connected with the Cross Rhodes for the 1-2-3. [Steel Cage Match]: Cody Rhodes pinned Martin Maldonado with the Cross Rhodes in 0:06:27. Rating: *** ½After the match, Rhodes jerked his hand away from the referee, and continued to focus on Maldonado, stomping his head and chest, spilling blood onto the canvas. The referee tried to restrain Rhodes, only to get pushed down to the canvas, as HWL officials rushed down to the ring. As the officials struggled to open the chain holding the cage door shut, Rhodes locked in a figure-four on Maldonado. Screaming in pain, and with blood running into his mouth, Maldonado struggled to get out of the move, but he was too weak to reverse it. Rhodes kept the hold locked in as the cage door swung open, and HWL officials ran into the ring. Daniels said it looked as if Maldonado was nearly passed out, as the officials forced Rhodes to release the hold, and lifted him to his feet. Trainers and EMTs ran down to the ring, and attended to Maldonado, as the officials escorted Rhodes out of the ring, and up the ramp. The crowd cheered Cody on, as he stared at the scene inside the ring. FINAL COMMENT FROM ANGLE Dan Hanson is seen backstage with KURT ANGLE, who admits that AJ Styles is due his rematch for the Heavyweight Title, because one way or the other, he lost the belt at Wicked Games. But, everyone has wanted to know why Angle felt like he deserved a rematch. Angle says that he made a verbal agreement with Ric Flair, for the right to face AJ Styles for the title, only to have CM Punk slither his way into their match, and ultimately walk away with the Heavyweight Title. And, because of that, he was not given the match that was agreed upon. Angle says that tonight, he will get the same satisfaction as winning the title, when he beats Styles and becomes the new Number One Contender. SITUATIONS REPEATING Also backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with KAZ, and asks how he feels about being in the main event for the second straight year, at Caged Rage. Kaz says that he’s excited about being a part of the main event again, and that his chances are better this year because it’s just going to be him and CM Punk inside the cage. Alisha then asks how Kaz has been preparing for tonight’s main event. Kaz says that he has been watching Punk ever since last month, and that he has formulated a game plan. But, he says that there is never a good way to plan for being inside the steel cage. He calls the cage a “game changer”, and that it could have an impact on the outcome of the match. Alisha then asks how confident Kaz feels about winning the Heavyweight Title. Kaz says that he’s very confident. He’s been in this situation before, whereas Punk is defending the belt, for the first time, inside the cage. Kaz smiles and walks away as the scene cuts back to ringside. [#1 Contenders - Steel Cage Match] Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair)Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels ran down the events leading up to this match as both men were introduced. It was noted that Chelsea and Ric Flair accompanied Styles to the ring, whereas Angle came down alone. As the match began, it was clear that both men were trying to finish things quickly, hitting an array of big moves, to the enjoyment of the crowd. After missing a running clothesline into the corner, Angle lost control of the match, as AJ began working over his chest and upper body. AJ whipped Angle into the turnbuckle and connected with a dropkick to the chest, before heading towards the cage door. Flair stopped AJ from walking through the door, telling him that Angle “still needed to learn not to screw with them”. AJ froze for a moment, before turning back and continuing his attack on Angle. As the match progressed, Styles continued to have the upper hand, and connected with a Styles Clash. He went for the cover, only for Flair to scream “get up”. Stunned, Styles went over to the cage, and started to argue with Flair about not letting him finish the match. Flair said that Angle wasn’t suffering enough, and that Styles needed to make him pay for costing him the Heavyweight Title. Before Styles could turn around, he was caught in a belly-to-belly suplex, that nearly got him a two count! Angle was then able to fight his way back into the match, throwing AJ into the cage, and setting up for the Angle Slam. As Angle lifted Styles up, MATT MORGAN and ROB TERRY appeared on-stage, dragging a bloody and beaten MARTIN MALDONADO behind them. Angle, wide-eyed, dropped Styles and began trying to scale the cage. From the outside, Flair opened up the cage door, as Styles crawled his way through. As Angle got to the top of the cage, Styles exited, and the bell rang, ending the match! AJ Styles defeated Kurt Angle by escaping the cage in 0:09:10. Rating: ****Flair helped Styles away from ringside, as Angle continued to scale down the cage. When he landed, Angle ran up the ramp, only to get caught in a two-on-one brawl with Morgan and Terry. Angle held his own, but soon succumbed to the numbers, as Morgan and Terry beat him down. After a few moments, Flair called them off, and The Conglomerate stood on the stage, as Maldonado and Angle lay beneath them.COMMENT FROM THE CHAMP Alisha Hick is shown backstage, with Heavyweight Champion CM PUNK, who says that Kaz’s confidence could easily be mistaken as ignorant arrogance. He says that yes, Kaz was in the main event of this event last year, but he walked away the same way he walked in: without the Heavyweight Title. He says Kaz is right - this is his first title defense - in a steel cage or ever. But, Punk says that it certainly isn’t the first time he’s ever been in a match where the object could cause more damage if put in the right hands. Punk says that Kaz is still “way out of his league” against him, and that there is no way a “never should’ve been” will beat The Best in the World. Punk pats the title over his shoulder and walks away… A preview for the next HWL pay-per-view event, BRUTALITY, is shown. Brutality will take place January 15, 2012, live from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. Steel Cage Match for the HWL Heavyweight Title Kaz vs. © CM PunkCM Punk’s method of intimidation heading into this match was to constantly tell Kaz that he wasn’t good enough to step into the steel cage and challenge for the Heavyweight Title. Punk made every effort possible to show up Kaz in the weeks leading up to this match, while Kaz continued to go about his daily business as normal, seemingly not affected by Punk’s threats. Tonight, there was no more time for talking, and Kaz would have his chance to make Punk eat his words. From the beginning of the match, it looked like that was exactly what was going to happen, as Kaz and Punk spent the better portion of this match brawling in the ring. Whenever either man found their opportunity, they were head up the cage walls or straight to the door, in the hopes of escaping to victory. But, every time, their opponent pulled them back in, continuing the match as the crowd’s interest grew. Both men started to wear down, after trading shots and being thrown against the cage all night, but neither of them were willing to give up. But, out of nowhere, Punk ducked a clothesline attempt, and shocked Kaz by connecting with the G.T.S. Punk made the cover and retained the Heavyweight Title! [Steel Cage Match for the HWL Heavyweight Title] CM Punk pinned Kaz with the G.T.S. in 0:09:48. Rating: **** (CM Punk retained the HWL Heavyweight Title.)After the match, Punk walks over to the corner and demands to be given “his” Heavyweight Title. When he is handed the belt, Punk straps it around his waist and begins to climb up the cage. Punk sits on the corner of the cage, undoes the belt, and raises it into the air as the crowd greets him with a cheers and boos. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels thank everyone for being a part of Caged Rage, as Punk shouts that he is “The Best in the World”. The event goes of the air as Punk’s music plays in the background. Hot opener. Interesting choice with a women's match kicking off the show, but both can go and it was a fun match.
With how much you've built Adam Cole, was a bit shocked to see Sebei dethrone him here. Still, good match, and I like Generico.
Wow... a match with Otunga got **** 1/2!? Haha. The Hagadorn turn was predictable, but doesn't mean it wasn't a good angle. It was all really well done, so kudos. Now we have to see Hagadorn's WHY.
Rhodes winning and taking Maldonado out was well booked. Only issue I had with the match is 6 and a half minutes seemed a little on the short side.
I liked Styles winning, but he kind of looked like a bitch in doing so. Well, more Angle looked stupid. Lol.
Kaz tried, but he just wasn't ready to be challenging for the World Title. Punk/Styles is a much sexier match, and I'm really looking forward to that one.

Monday Night Anarchy December 19, 2011 Webster Bank Arena - Bridgeport, Connecticut Attendance: 5,490 (61%) Highlights are shown from last night’s Caged Rage event, as “Public Enemy #1” plays in the background. The final scene is of CM Punk, holding the Heavyweight Title, victoriously, atop the steel cage structure. As the highlights end, “Headstrong” plays along with the opening montage for Monday Night Anarchy. Inside the arena, fireworks shoot from the stage as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Bridgeport. They announce that, tonight, there will be two huge matches to determine the new number one contenders for both the Women’s and Tag Team Titles. Josh Daniels says that, after the events that took place in the Tag Team Title Match last night, he bets that David Otunga would love to have his cards in the deck. Scott Michaels agrees, but says that Otunga won’t be that lucky, and will have to watch two other men get their chance next month at Brutality. And, tonight’s main event will focus on the new number one contender for the Heavyweight Title - AJ Styles - as he takes on former champion Cody Rhodes. Daniels and Michaels discuss the long history that they have shared with each other, before sending things down to the ring for the first match of the night. TITLE MATCH SIGNED "Cult of Personality" blares through the arena, and the crowd starts to cheer and boo, as Heavyweight Champion CM PUNK emerges from the back. Punk enters the ring and stands on the turnbuckle, where he lifts up the belt and screams "Best in the World". Daniels and Michaels discuss the evenly-fought match Punk had with Kaz last night at Caged Rage, as Punk grabs a microphone and sits atop a turnbuckle. Punk says that he wants to, first, congratulate Kaz for giving his all last night at Caged Rage. He says that Kaz "showed up", but that there was little threat in Punk's mind that he was going to lose the title. (crowd boos) Punk says now that Kaz is done living his "pipe dream" of challenging for the Heavyweight Title once a year, he can go back to achieving things more suitable, like coming up short in his attempt to win the X-Division Title, or his ill-fated tag team with Evan Bourne. Punk says that the month he spent getting ready for Kaz was time that he will never get back; and that, thankfully, he was ready to move on to bigger things. But, before he can move on to bigger things, Punk says that he has to deal with AJ Styles, again. This brings out "The Phenomenal One", who interrupts Punk, accompanied by Chelsea and Ric Flair. Styles says that there is no one bigger in the HWL then he is. Styles reminds Punk that he has held the Heavyweight Title more times than anyone in the history of the company. Punk interjects himself and says that Styles has held the title more than anyone, but Kurt Angle still has a longer title reign than Styles does, combined. Styles says that, if it weren't for Kurt Angle, he'd be the one standing in the ring tonight; but instead, he has to look at a man who takes advantage of others' weaknesses in order to get himself ahead. Punk says that Styles is no different from him, in that, he saw a chance to go after what he wanted, and he jumped at it. Punk asks if Styles would've been able to show his face tonight, if Matt Morgan and Rob Terry didn't drag Martin Maldonado's "broken body" to ringside, in order to sneak out of the cage and claim the Number One Contender-ship. Styles says that it doesn't matter how he won the match, the only thing that matters is that he will finally get his chance to win back the title he never lost, at Brutality. Punk says he looks forward to the chance to prove that a former three-time champion is no match for the "best in the world". Commercial BreakLuke Gallows vs. Jeff HardyTwo weeks ago, Luke Gallows returned to the HWL, falling short in his match against Rami Sebei. Tonight, he was in action against Jeff Hardy, who also had not been in the ring for a number of weeks. Hardy came out with the attitude to win tonight, wanting to continue the success that gave him a spot in the Wicked Games tournament last month. Gallows, who has been out of action since leaving the PCW, held his own, but soon became overwhelmed by Hardy’s fast-paced aerial attack. Throughout the match, Hardy went for, and connected, with the Swanton multiple times; but each time Gallows was able to kick out or slide his foot onto the ropes. Seeing little option left, Hardy brought the match outside, using the steel barricade to further wear down Gallows. Back in the ring, Hardy played to the crowd just a little too long, as he went for another Swanton attempt, only to have Gallows roll out of the way. Gallows was able to catch his breath, and while still showing signs from the earlier onslaught, was about to take over the match, hitting the Gallows Pole to pick up the victory. Luke Gallows pinned Jeff Hardy with the Gallows Pole in 0:18:47. Rating: *** ¾Commercial BreakIN OVER HIS HEAD Returning from the commercial break, SHANE HAGADORN walks through the backstage area, smiling from ear to ear, as J.D. says that, thanks to Hagadorn's dispicable actions last night, Steve Corino and Eddie Edwards were able to retain the Tag Team Titles. As Hagadorn turns the corner, he is blind-sided by DAVID OTUNGA, who recieves a huge ovation from the crowd. Otunga chokes Hagadorn against the wall, and tells says that he should've listened to his conscience; and that it's his fault for letting Shane continue to manage Chris and himself. Through gritted teeth and shortened breaths, Hagadorn says that Otunga wasn't cut out to be a champion; and the only reason he can call himself one is because of Hagadorn and Chris Hero. Otunga reels back to hit Hagadorn, but he's attacked by STEVE CORINO and EDDIE EDWARDS! Corino and Edwards do a number on Otunga, while Hagadorn barks out orders, having gotten his confidence back. After a few moments, Hagadorn calls off Corino and Edwards, and they walk down the hallway, leaving Otunga prone on the floor. Vixens Battle RoyalAs the scene goes back to the ring, Josh Daniels explains that tonight, all five women would be vying for the chance to face Velvet Sky, next week, for the Women’s Title. From the start of the match, Natalya and Nikki Bella had be going back and forth, trading blows, and reversing each others’ moves. Across the ring, Daffney and Hamada continue their feud from the past few weeks, but this time with a little more meaning behind it. On multiple occasions, Daffney thought she had Hamada eliminated, only to have Hamada roll back under the ropes to stay in the match. The Bella Twins got involved, going after Daffney, but Natalya cleared them out, focusing on Nikki Bella. As Daffney and Hamada got to their feet, Daffney tossed Hamada over the top ropes, but this time, saw her hang onto the top rope, and kneed her in the back, breaking her grip for the first elimination. X Hamada is eliminated by Daffney in 0:05:04.The match continued as Daffney and Brie Bella and Natalya and Nikki Bella cornered themselves off from each other. Neither Vixen attempted to eliminate the other for a while, as they tried to wear each other down as the match wore on. After dropping Nikki with a clothesline, Natalya teamed up with Daffney to attack Brie. They whipped her into the ropes, and connected with a double kick to the midsection. Daffney then went over to Nikki, as Natalya ran into the ropes again, only to get back dropped over the top rope to the concrete floor! X Natalya is eliminated by Brie Bella in 0:18:54.Brie quickly turned her attention to helping out her sister, attacking Daffney from behind. Daffney found herself with her back against the wall, as she faced the task of taking on both Bella twins. She is due a lot of credit, because at no time did she back down from the fight, managing to separate the two, making things a little easier for herself. Daffney choked out Nikki, in the corner, before connecting with a Northern Lights suplex on Brie. As Nikki tried to catch her breath in the corner, Daffney tossed Brie over the top rope and kneed Brie in the back as she hung on to the top rope for the third elimination. X Brie Bella is eliminated by Daffney in 0:21:42.The match, and the chance to face Velvet Sky for the Women’s Title, came down to Nikki Bella and Daffney. Daffney continued to assault Nikki, who had finally made it to her feet, taking her down with a Northern Lights suplex. Daffney, who seemed close to having the match put away, hit the Lobotomy in the center of the ring. But, instead of trying to throw Nikki over the top rope, she stood on the four corners of the ring and proclaimed that “her” title would be coming back. Nikki got back to her feet, she caught Daffney in a Samoan Drop that rocked the crowd with excitement. Nikki then was able to hit a quick burst of offense before picking Daffney up and tossing her over the top rope for the win! X Daffney is eliminated by Nikki Bella in 0:23:42.After the match, Nikki is announced the winner, and she crumples to the canvas as Daffney re-enters the ring, screaming. Daffney attacks Nikki, pulling at her hair and scratching at her face. Daffney sets up for The Lobotomy, but BRIE BELLA runs down the ramp and enters the ring, breaking up the move. Daffney rolls out of the ring, promising revenge, as Brie stands over her sister. Commercial BreakA FEUD CONTINUES Coming back from the break, an advertisement for "Brutality" is shown, announcing the event for January 15th, 2012, live from Vancouver, British Columbia. In the arena, KURT ANGLE'S music hits, as he and a bandaged-up Martin Maldonado make their way down to the ring. Josh and Scott go over the hellish night that Maldonado faced at Caged Rage, and how Angle's match with AJ Styles unfolded. Inside the ring, Angle says that AJ Styles, Ric Flair and the rest of the Conglomerate better be "very proud" of their actions last night. Angle says that he isn't surprised that they would stoop to the level that they did, just to keep AJ a contender for the Heavyweight Title. Angle says that he doesn't care whether the crowd likes him or not; but that he can stand in the ring and say that he did everything he said he was going to, without cutting corners. Angle says that if AJ is upset about losing the title last month, he had his chance to get back at Angle inside the ring. But, instead of facing Angle like a man, Styles and Flair already had a way to screw him. Angle says that the last thing on his mind tonight is the Heavyweight Title, but rather, making sure The Conglomerate pays for what they did to Martin Maldonado. Maldonado then grabs the microphone, as the crowd boos, and says that all The Conglomerate did last night, was add insult to injury. Maldonado says that he didn't get the job done against Cody Rhodes, and that alone should be enough for him to want to make everyone on the HWL roster feel his wrath. But, he says that what Matt Morgan and Rob Terry did will lead to them facing the full extent of his fury at Brutality. Maldonado says that he and Angle want to see what Morgan and Terry can do when they have to face each other a "full tilt". Maldonado promises that the results will be very, very different. Angle and Maldonado leave the ring, as Josh says that the gauntlet has been set, and it's up to Morgan and Terry to accept the challenge. Scott says that Angle and Maldonado may be biting off more than they can chew, knowing that they will lose the numbers game against The Conglomerate. Commercial BreakFatal Four Way Tag Team Elimination Match Matt Morgan/Rob Terry (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair) vs. Colt Cabana/Yoshi Tatsu vs. Evan Bourne/Kaz vs. Kurt Angle/Martin MaldonadoIt is announced, as the action started, that the winning team would receive a title shot, against Steve Corino and Eddie Edwards at Brutality. Josh and Scott mentioned that all four teams were hungry for their shot at the titles; that it would be a huge “feather in the cap” of Ric Flair to have his charges challenging for significant titles in the same night. On top of the possibility of becoming the new number-one contenders, Rob Terry and Matt Morgan had their sights set on dominating the match, but more specifically, Angle and Maldonado. All eight men gave all they could possibly give for the right to challenge for the Tag Team Titles at Brutality. It was evident from the start that Angle, Maldonado, Terry and Morgan would do anything to their hands on one another after the events that transpired last night at Caged Rage. There were plenty of opportunities for them, but others were broken up by the other four men in the match. After over 40 minutes, all eight men looked out on their feet. In the ring, Maldonado had been using his size and strength to wear down Kaz, who was just coming off a brutal match with CM Punk last night. Maldonado thought he had Kaz finished, after hitting a massive hiptoss; but he played to the crowd too long, and when he tried to whip Kaz into the corner, Kaz reversed the move, giving him a bit of life. Kaz, somehow, had enough strength to lift Maldonado with a gut wrench suplex for the 1-2-3. X Martin Maldonado is eliminated by Kaz in 0:44:06.The match continued as Yoshi Tatsu and Colt Cabana became the main focus for Kaz and Evan Bourne. The history between Kaz and Tatsu has been well established over the last year, and outside of the feud they had at the beginning of the year, this was the first time they had been in the ring with one another. It took a little bit for Tatsu to get up the nerve to get into the ring with his former partner, but when he did, it was obvious that the hatred he had for Kaz was still evident. Yoshi came out with a fury of offense, but a miscue on an enzurgiri attempt gave Kaz the opening he was looking for. Kaz got his bearings back, and started taking the offense to Yoshi, nearly connecting with the Wave of the Future. Yoshi was able to escape the attempt and tagged in Cabana, the fresher man. Cabana and Kaz battled back and forth for a while, allowing Matt Morgan and Rob Terry to catch their breath. Cabana connected with the Colt .45, but was unable to make the pinfall as he was distracted by Morgan and Terry at ringside. Kaz fought his way back, and connected with the Wave of the Future, getting only a two-count, as Morgan broke up the pin attempt. Morgan then used his size to wear down Kaz. Morgan whipped Kaz into the ropes, only to have RIC FLAIR pull down the top rope, hoping that the referee wouldn’t see the interference. However, the referee did see, and quickly disqualified Morgan and Terry! X Matt Morgan is eliminated by Kaz in 1:00:03. Moments after Morgan and Terry was eliminated from the match, Angle and Maldonado ran down to the ring and began brawling with them, as HWL officials tried to break it up. With the officials concerned with the action taking place outside the ring, Bourne, Kaz, Tatsu and Cabana were more worried with who would walk out as the new number one contenders. Tatsu and Cabana tried to turn the tide in their favor using double-team moves, but Bourne and Kaz held their ground and didn’t allow themselves to be taken advantage of. The end of the match saw Tatsu and Bourne in the ring. Tatsu locked in an armbar submission, but Bourne was close enough to reach the ropes, breaking the hold. Tatsu then went for a clothesline, only to have Bourne counter it with a crucifix for the 1-2-3! X Yoshi Tatsu is eliminated by Evan Bourne in 1:08:56. Rating: *** 3/4After the match, Bourne dropped to the canvas out of exhaustion as he and Kaz were announced the winners and the new number one contenders for the HWL Tag Team Titles. Josh and Scott said that all eight men put their bodies on the line for over an hour, all for the chance to challenge for championship gold. Now, Bourne and Kaz have written themselves tickets to Vancouver, will they will face Eddie Edwards and Scott Corino. Josh then asked what Shane Hag adorn - the champions’ new manager - will have to say about their new challengers next week. Commercial BreakANNOUNCEMENT FOR NEXT WEEK The camera shows PETER BRADSHAW sitting in his office as the show returns from commercials. Bradshaw says that, based on the events that took place earlier tonight, he has signed a match for next week, in Green Bay. The Tag Team Champions, Steve Corino and Eddie Edwards, will face David Otunga and a partner of his choosing, in a non-title match. Also, Bradshaw announces that due to the events of the Vixens Battle Royal earlier tonight, a singles match has been signed between Natalya and Brie Bella for next week. Non Title Match Eddie Edwards (w/Shane Hagadorn) vs. © Rami SebeiJust moments after finding out that he and Steve Corino would be in action next week, Eddie Edwards found himself in a great position to put his name in the hunt for the X-Division Title in the future. Rami Sebei came into this match, having gone through hell less than 24 hours before, in a grueling cage match with Adam Cole. By coming out successful, Sebei showed that he is able to rise to the occasion whenever he needs to. Tonight, he needed to. Not only did Sebei have to contend with Shane Hagadorn, who was at ringside, but moments after the match started, ADAM COLE made his way to ringside, looking to get some retribution for losing the title belt. Sebei was on his guard throughout the match, and while he was still able to put on an excellent contest - for over 20 minutes - the numbers would prove to be his demise. He and Edwards traded high-risk moves, back and forth, and both men took tremendous falls to the concrete at ringside. Edwards, with help from Hagadorn, showed how dominant he could be in the ring, when he has a clear advantage. The Tag Team Champion did all he could to put Sebei away, even locking in an Achilles hold for over a minute! But, somewhere, Sebei found the resolve to keep going, even managing to hit a Brainbustah that nearly finished off Edwards. By the end of the match, both men looked to be running on fumes. Hagadorn jumped onto the ring apron, distracting the referee, as Cole smashed a steel chair over Sebei’s back. Edwards was quick to lock in the Achilles hold again, only to have Sebei tap out. [Non-Title Match]: Eddie Edwards made Rami Sebei submit to the Achilles Lock in 0:23:00. Rating: **** ¼ [Adam Cole interfered against Rami Sebei.]After the match, Edwards rolled out of the ring, and was met by Hagadorn, who had the Tag Team Title over his shoulder. Hagadorn said that Edwards and Corino were the greatest wrestlers in the HWL, and that soon, they would be the dominant force in professional wrestling. At ring side, Adam Cole threw the X-Division Title to Sebei, as Sebei slowly got to his feet, hobbling on the injured left foot. Cole said that he wanted his title back, and stared at Sebei, as Anarchy went to commercials. Commercial BreakCody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair)For months, after being screwed out of the Heavyweight Title in his rematch, Cody Rhodes has been foaming at the mouth at the thought of getting back into the ring against AJ Styles. Although the title played no part in this match, Rhodes had to hate the fact that Styles was on his way to facing CM Punk for the belt at Brutality. Both men had just come off a very physical night, at Caged Rage, emerging from the steel cage with a number of injuries - seen and unseen. They also came into this match having achieved the same goal: dispatching a nemesis. Rhodes finally ended his feud with Martin Maldonado after a brutal beatdown in the middle of the ring, and Styles got the better of Kurt Angle - with some help from The Conglomerate - to earn the shot at Punk next month. With Cheslea and Flair at ringside, Rhodes came in well aware of what they were capable of, but it was apparent that his only focus was on defeating Styles any way he could. As Rhodes and Styles braced for the start of the match, they were both interrupted by CM PUNK’s music. The Heavyweight Champion joined Daniels and Michaels on commentary as the referee started the match. Punk said that he was out here to make sure everything went the way it was supposed to, and when asked if he was out for the sake of Rhodes - to even the playing field with The Conglomerate - Punk said that he didn’t care what happened to Rhodes, because he was going after Punk’s title, just like everyone else in the HWL. As the match went on, it was clear that Ric Flair was going to be a lot for the referee to handle. After Styles connected with a Pele kick that sent Rhodes outside the ring, Flair ran around the ring and threw Rhodes back under the ropes, as Styles distracted the referee. Seeing this, Punk said that if AJ Styles wants to be taken seriously as the self-proclaimed “greatest” champion in HWL history, then he needed to do it on his own. And, with that, Punk got up from his chair and clocked Flair in the back of the head with the Heavyweight Title! Styles turned around, saw Punk standing over Flair, and ran to the ropes, demanding Punk enter the ring. Punk jumped on the apron, as Rhodes rolled up Styles, but only got a two count. As Styles got to his feet, Punk smashed the title belt in to his face, and the referee tossed Punk from ringside! The crowd was a mix of cheers and boos as Punk made his way up the ramp, holding the Heavyweight Title in the air. But, from behind, Rob Terry and Matt Morgan came down and sent Punk crashing into the ramp. They stomped on Punk as officials rushed to the scene. The referee inside the ring, seeing all the action at ringside, called for the bell, and the match was announced as a no-contest. AJ Styles and Cody Rhodes fought to a no-contest.After the bell sounded, Styles rolled out of the ring and checked on Flair as, on the ramp, officials were struggling to separate Morgan and Terry from Punk. Anarchy went off the air as the scene unfolded on the ramp. Punk vs. Styles will be a great title match.
I don't know how much you care, so take this for what it is, but man, your tv show has some long matches. There's nothing wrong with a good long fight on free television, but a match between Hardy and Gallows with no real back story going nearly 20 minutes is weird to me. But if this is the start of a Gallows push, that is a good thing.
You've somehow made me care a little about Otunga. Impressive.
Again, don't have an issue with a battle royal to determine a new challenger, but 25 minutes of your women fighting in a battle royal, and it was only 5 of them? Seems a bit much. That being said, you've done a pretty good job of establishing the Bellas as individuals and decent contenders.
Again, a match going over an hour and no real special mention made of it? Stuff like that just keeps me out of it. Bourne and Kaz winning the match and getting a title shot is fine - Kaz's stock has risen recently - but that's just too long a match.
Cole wants his title back, and I can't blame him. That's a good way to get it set up.
After what happened in the main event, I wonder if Rhodes is going to get involved in this title match at Brutality.
