Been on a TNM kick as of late and am running a monthly promotion Lucha Libre U.S.A.
-Remember when I wanted to add those six man tag titles to my USWA circuit? I don't think it will be sustainable, so I want to use this fed to establish a promotion that has them.
I also wanted a place where I can make good use out of all the lucha exports.
Roster size teeters around 16-20 guys right now. This is a booked promotion, but I make with due with injuries, no shows, contracts.
I hope you guys enjoy.

February 2000 recap: Attendance: 200
Fans of Lucha Libre were excited to hear that Lucha Libre USA will be running shows every month this year in San Antonio. The crowds have been nice for this upstart promotion, and tonight the fans had a chance to see some of the stars of the company once again.
Mr. Aguila and Puma started the night in singles competition, as always the matches are 2/3 falls, and Aguila wowed the crowd with his moonsault finisher to get a 2-0 victory over the young Puma in our opener.
Two fan favorites in Octagon and Heavy Metal took to the air in our second match. This one was back and forth action between Octagon and Heavy Metal with a third fall being necessary to determine a winner. Heavy Metal put his medio cangrejo submission maneuver onto Octogan to get the victory.
After the match fans gave both superstars a round of applause, with Heavy Metal checking on the condition of Octagon. Octagon raised the hand of Heavy Metal after he came to.
Last month the fans were impressed at the size of Strongman Jon Anderson and the power he brings to the roster of Lucha Libre USA. This month we had our first look at the fan favorite team of Jon Anderson and Manabu Nakanishi, and what exactly they can do in tag team action. They were scheduled to face Volador Jr. and Ultimo Guerrero, but Guerrero never made it to the building and was replaced by Marco Corleone. Nakanishi and Corleone really brutalized eachother during the match, in the end Strongman used a running forearm smash to gain the upperhand, and the victory for Muscle Orchestra in this match.
Marco Corleone took the mic and told Nakanishi that since this ring couldn't hold them tonight, next month they should fight it out in a falls count anywhere match! Nakanishi accepted the challenge.
Last month Grand Hamada embarassed El Texano in the debut match for the promotion when he scored a pinfall in under a minute. This month the two decided to take the rivalry to trio's competition. Both men would serve as team captains and choose Lucha Libre stars from the roster. Hamada picked two of the most popular stars in Lucha Libre in Rey Misterio Jr. and La Sombra to compete against El Texano's partners Averno and Rey Bucanero.
Hamada once against proved he was the stronger competitor when he scored the victory pinning El Texano to earn the win for his team. El Texano swore that it wasn't over between the two of them!

(Ringside announcer Ricardo Rincon introduces Gran Hamada to the fans)
Gran Hamada comes out to a good response from the crowd.

Hamada accepts the praises, and tells Ricardo that he has spent his entire life trying to expose the world to this style of wrestling, and that Lucha Libre will soon capture the hearts of the fans in the United States.
::During the audience applause, out comes El Texano who tells Hamada that his entire career has been a joke and he has never accomplished anything in this business, before Hamada gets a chance to interject Texano clubs Hamada with a cheap shot to the groin and beings to stomp away at the living legend.::
(Out comes La Sombra who makes the save for Hamada and tells El Texano that if he is in the mood to play dirty, maybe he should step in the ring with The Shadow with NO Disqualifications and no Countouts as the stipulation! Texano agrees to the match as the ref calls for the bell!)

March 2000 recap: Attendance: 235
A wild night as the third edition of Lucha Libre USA takes place from San Antonio Texas.
Mr. Aguila gets a victory over Puma in our opener 2 falls to 0 and proves why he is one of the most dangerous high flying luchadors in the sport today.
Marco Corleone walked away tonight with the victory over one half of Muscle Orchestra, Manabu Nakanishi. Corleone tried to convince the crowd that he was the biggest superstar to ever step foot in San Antonio, Texas!
An interview with Gran Hamada went totally wrong when El Texano came out and attacked the legend. La Sombra made the save and challenged Texano to a no countout/no DQ match match here and now, which backfired on the popular Luchador when Averno attacked him with a chair costing him the match. Averno and El Texano stood in the ring raising each others hands while a fallen La Sombra lay motionless in the ring.
In trios competition Heavy Metal captained a team including Octagon and Strongman to a victory over Bucanero, Volador Jr. and Ultimo Guerrero. Technico captain Heavy Metal pinned rudos captain Rey Bucanero to get the victory for his team.
Our main event was advertised as Rey Misterio Jr. vs a mystery man from his past. The crowd was in shock when Juventud Guerrera made his way to the ring, and it was enough to get the fans on their feet and cheer on their hero Rey Misterio Jr.
Rey Jr. won the contest with two pinfalls in a row, with the second one coming off a wild powerbomb that left Guerrera laying on the mat for a few minutes after the final bell. The fans were behind Rey JR. like never before to end another sucessful night of action for Lucha Libre U.S.A.!

April 2000 recap: Attendance: 205
A wild one from San Antonio, as Muscle Orchestra gets a victory in our main event so the fans can go home happy.
The night started on a high note as our ring announcer announced that Lucha Libre U.S.A. will be holding an eight man one night only tournament this July to crown our first ever champion. We do not know the names of those that will compete, but the announcement sent a buzz into the crowd before the start of the show.
Juventud Guerrera returned to Lucha Libre U.S.A. to claim a victory over Puma. A serious injury to Puma during the match caused a quick finish. Backstage it seems like Puma might be missing an extended amount of time.
Fan favorite Heavy Metal left the arena with a victory to his name as he defeated Rey Bucanero 2 falls to 0 as these two team captains from last months trio's match met in singles competition.
From there it became a night that belonged to the rudos. El Texano and Averno took on Gran Hamada and La Sombra in a tag team match, which saw Averno and Texano's gameplan come to light. Averno started the match hitting La Sombra with an illegal move that injured his knee and kept him immobile for most of the match. While La Sombra was unable to compete the two rudos constantly attacked a weak Gran Hamada. Averno hit his devils wings finisher on the fallen legend, that basically took him out of the match to score their first pinfall, and minutes later a series of chops from El Texano finished Hamada off and gave the rudos the victory.
La Sombra has sworn he will get vengance on behalf of Hamada for Averno and El Texano's cheating ways.
The rudos continued to have their way on the card when Volador Jr. picked up a victory over Octagon in our next match. Volador proclaimed that he would be the first man to put the world heavyweight title around his waist and be the face of Lucha Libre in the United States.
In our main event, a wild one sent the fans home happy when Muscle Orchestra, who's popularity has taken on a life of it's own, defeated the pompus Marco Corleone and his partner Ultimo Guerrero. Nakanishi was DQ'ed for putting his hands on official Tim White during the second fall and had the fans thinking it was going to be three major victories for the rudo's tonight, but Nakanishi regained his composure and hit Corleone with a double axe handle that would put this match in the history books as a victory for Muscle Orchestra! Corleone tried to attack Nakanishi from behind but hesitated when he realized Strongman Jon Anderson was ready to step in!

May 2000 recap: Attendance: 225
Two months away from our biggest show of the year. Lucha Libre U.S.A. will soon crown a World Heavyweight Champion, and the roster is starting to take notice of this historic event!
Our opening bout saw a singles match between Ultimo Guerrero and Jon Anderson start out with a "pose off" that Guerrero demanded! Strongman won the pose down strickly based off the crowd reaction, but thats where the winning ended for Strongman. Octagon tried to get involved as he has a little history with Guerrero dating back to our March event when Octagon teamed with Heavy Metal and Strongman to take on the team of Rey Bucanero, Volador Jr. and Ultimo Guerrero.
Octagon attempted to give Strongman a hand, but cost him a DQ in the first fall. In the second fall Guerrero hit Anderson with a powerslam that wowed the crowd! Ultimo Guerrero claimed that he has the best body in all of Lucha Libre U.S.A. and is fit to be the new World Heavyweight Champion.
This was the first loss for Strongman in any type of match since the debut of the promotion.
Gran Hamada claimed that the most memoriable way to end his career would be to become the first ever L.L. U.S.A. World Heavyweight Champion, but tonight was a night where the torch would be passed to the future of Lucha Libre. Hamada announced that La Sombra would be the team captain in tonights main event as Hamada, Misterio Jr. and La Sombra would face Averno, Juventud Guerrera and EL Texano. Aveno would also be given the roll of team captain for the rudos later tonight in our main event.
Marco Corleone challenged Manabu Nakanishi to a ladder match, with a contract hanging from the ceiling that would grant the winner a spot on the eight man torunament for the title. Marco came to the ring and told the fans that he is the man that Lucha Libre U.S.A. needs to carry this company into the future, and it would be crazy for him not to be in the tournament.
Things didn't quite go Marco's way tonight as Nakanishi came out and got a victory in a wild match! In the end Nakanishi grabbed the contract and crushed Marco's dreams by eliminating him from the eight man tournament!
Volador Jr. picked up a win over the debuting Super Calo tonight. Volador Jr. has been entered into the eight man tournmanet and has been impressive in his last few matches.
In trio's competition Heavy Metal captained a team of Octagon and Mr. Aguila to defeat Rey Bucanero and the debuting Mosca De La Merced II and Lucha Libre legend Jerry Estrada. Rey Bucanero was not happy with Heavy Metal getting the victory over him once again!
Our main event was excellent, and the reason the fans were in attendance, as we made room for the future of Lucha Libre! The trio's main event came down to the young lions as La Sombra scored the third and final pinfall over Averno to lead the team of Hamada, and Rey Misterio Jr. to a victory over their rudo opponents!
Rey Misterio Jr came out to endorse La Sombra as the future of Lucha Libre, and the future of Lucha Libre U.S.A.!

Strongman took Averno by the throat after no-selling the chair shot. Texano took out Strongmans knees and the two stomped on Anderson until Nakanishi came down to clear the ring and make the save. Averno and Texano laughed their way to the locker room.

July recap: Attendance: 350
In front of our largest crowd to date Volador JR. becomes the first ever Lucha Libre U.S.A. World Heavyweight champion, and ends the destiny of Gran Hamada in our tournament finals.
Our opening match saw a very confident Gran Hamada defeat the recent rudo turned, high flying, Mr. Aguila. Hamada hit his swinging DDT to make it to the second round.
Rey Misterio Jr. defeated Heavy Metal in the first round. Both technico's shook hands and Metal wished Jr. luck in the second round.
Volador Jr. defeated Manabu Nakanishi with a little assistance from Marco Corleone. Marco told Nakanishi that if he couldn't win the World Heavyweight title tonight, than neither can he!
In our final first round match La Sombra defeated Rey Bucanero to advance to a match with Volador Jr. in the Semi Finals.
Second round action saw what most figure to be a major upset as Gran Hamada defeated a younger, faster, more athletic Rey Misterio Jr. to make it to the finals. It was a shocking upset, that had the fans in the crowd on their feet. Rey Jr. took the mic and said that if he had to lose a match to anyone on the Lucha Libre U.S.A. roster, it would be to Gran Hamada. Rey Jr. gave Hamada words of encouragement and told him to go complete his destiny!
Volador Jr. pinned La Sombra, who has been on a roll for quite some time. Volado Jr. told everyone that he planned on taking the World Heavyweight title, and he was only one match away.
During the main event El Texano and Averno both tried to interfere in order to guarantee a Volador Jr. victory for the rudos, but La Sombra and Rey Jr. both prevented Texano and Averno from getting to the ring.
With Averno and Texano eliminated from the equasion, all the Technico's on the roster came down to the ring to cheer on Hamada. Nakanishi, Strongman, Rey Jr, Heavy Metal, Octagon, and La Sombra all came to the ring, followed by the rudo's in the locker room including Rey Bucanero, Mr. Aguila, Marco Corleone, Juventud Guerrera, Ultimo Guerrero, and Mosca De La Merced II.
The finish of the match came when Volador Jr. hit Hamada with a flying legdrop to get the victory and become the first ever Lucha Libre World Heavyweight champion. Volador took the mic and screamed that he told everyone that this was what he planned to do! The rudos put Volador Jr. on their shoulders and paraded him around the ring at the dismay of the technicos.
