Dirty White Boy (w/ Dirty White Girl) defeated Len Crazy Horse by pinfall after a chokeslam at 3:10 **Dirty White Boy challenges The Trooper to a match next week. DWG says something that displeases DWB who gives her a good yank by the hair. After an initial screach of pain she gets a look of satisfaction on her face.
Promo; Ox Baker is shown, he is coming to RCW next week and is bringing his protege...The Night Stalker!!
#1 contenders match Biff Wellington & Ben Bassarab defeated Doug Somers & Russian Brute by pinfall when Bassarab pinned the Brute after a top rope flying crossbody block at 9:42 **Wellington and Bassarab say that if they can't win the titles against the Blackhearts then they will probably end their partnership and go after singles gold instead **they are then promptly attacked and beaten down by the tag champs and slick Nick
RCW TV Title Match The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Tommy Jammer by pinfall after a tombstone piledriver at 6:57 [The Soultaker won the RCW TV Title] **The Soultaker pretty much dominated the young champ, just too relentless, too powerful, and Bockwinkel provided some well timed strategy disguised as cheating.
Main Event Streetfight Davey Boy Smith defeated John Nord in a streetfight when he got the 10 count at 17:48 [7 minutes televised] **return match from last card. Very even and could have gone either way but DBS took advantage of a Nord missed spear, following up with a scoop running powerslam on the outside floor. That was all he needed to get the 10 count.

Ricky Steamboat defeated Doug Somers by pinfall after a diving cross bodyblock at 4:47 **Steamboat makes a triumphant return to RCW television after a few weeks away
Nelson Royal defeated The Russian Brute by submission to the figure four at 7:04 **A bit of an upset in the eyes of the fans, made more so by the fact the Brute dominated the first 5 minutes of this match
Dirty White Boy (/w Dirty White Girl) defeated The Trooper by countout at 5:50 **The Trooper was getting the better of his opponent, but then DWB and DWG feined an argument outside the ring, with DWB pushing her to the ground. The Trooper came out and slugged DWB and then heled DWG to her feet. She was having problems standing and the concerned Trooper was so distracted that he allowed himself to be counted out
Premiere of the Night Stalker / Hand-cap Match The Night Stalker (/w Ox Baker) defeated Todd Becker & Mike Justice by pinfall after a diving clothesline at 3:30 **impressive piece of work by the huge newcomer
Promo; Wrestling legend, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff is coming to RCW...
RCW Tag Team Title Match Ben Bassarab & Biff Wellington defeated The Blackhearts (Matt & Brett Derringer) (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by pinfall after a top rope splash at 9:26 [Ben Bassrab & Biff Wellington won the RCW Tag Team Titles] **a bit of an upset in the sense that the former champs had been written off by most observers, plus its the first big loss for Nick Bockwinkel as a manager. This bout was back and forth and despite Nick's attempts to distract the ref a late rally by the challengers put them over the top when all 4 men stood in the middle of the ring and battled toe to toe. Brett was sent hard to the buckle and collided shoulder first into the ringpost. Then Matt came off the ropes and Wellington nailed him with a powerslam. Bassarab climbed to the top rope and as Wellington knocked Bockwinkel off the apron, Bassarab flew down with a splash and picked up the win and the titles.
North American Women's Title Match Wendy Richter defeated Rockin' Robin by pinfall after a DDT at 8:01 [Wendy Richter won the North American Women's Title] **hard fought match between two fan favourites with the crowd pretty evenly split in support.
Hall of Fame Induction It seemed only fitting to follow the women's title match with the induction of the first lady of River City Wrestling, Tawney England. Although she started as a villian she would end up starring on both ends of that spectrum, and with her glitz and glam that would personify the 80's look, teased hair, Jordache jeans, rock shirts, spandex, leather, and lace she was often popular with the guys regardless of whether she was currently obeying the rules or not. She was also the first wrestler to regularly get entrance music, "No One Like You" by The Scorpions would bring the fans to their feet. As the only 4 time women's champion in history Tawney remains the most decorated lady in RCW history. Appearing with Tawney tonight is her sister Corrie who was also a big star in RCW and may also one day join her in the Hall. The presentation was made by Jim Brunzell, Baron von Raschke, The Destroyer, and Chris Lyon. Tawney has settled into a life after wrestling with a husband and child and an office job here in Winnipeg. Corrie has not completely settled down yet, married but her and her husband are now part of a rock band trying to make it in the music industry. Corrie singing and her husband and Jim Brunzell on the guitars serenade Tawney and the crowd with an acoustic version of "No One Like You".
RCW Television Title Match The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Tommy Jammer by pinfall after a tombstone piledriver at 5:10 [The Soultaker retains the RCW Television Title] **Bockwinkel was in a foul mode indeed after losing the tag belts, but this return bout was never in doubt as the Soultaker dominated from start to finish. **after the match as Soultaker was leaving the ring Nick blew a gasket for some reason and ordered him back into the ring to do more damage. It was like telling a little kid he had to go back into the toy store. After another minute of solid beatings, finally Ricky Steamboat came out and he and the Soultaker went toe to toe until Bockwinkel pulled his protege out.
Main Event Jim Brunzell & Davey Boy Smith defeated Dynamite Kid & John Nord by pinfall when Brunzell pinned Kid after a pair of flying dropkicks at 8:14 **This was a hard fought even contest, but it looked like the villians were on their way to victory until internal disagreements caused them to turn on each other. DBS and Brunzell took advantage and made short work of the RCW champion.

John Nord defeated Jason Anderson by submission **premiere for Anderson, looked all right, but over his head against Nord Tommy Jammer defeated Timothy Flowers by pinfall **former TV champ getting back into the win column Handi-cap match; The Night Stalker (/w Ox Baker) defeated Len Crazy Horse & Jonnie Stewart by pinfall Doug Somers defeated Nelson Royal by pinfall
Televised
Paul Orndorff defeated Skull Mason by pinfall after a piledriver at 3:40 **easy premiere for Orndorff. His post match interview was interrupted by Nick Bockwinkel who laid out the case as to why Mr. Wonderful should join the Agency. Orndorff appears to be contemplating the offer but then cmpares Bock to their mutual former manager Bobby the Weasel Heenan. Orndorff tells Bock that his tag team champs are now losers and that his TV champ had better stop using his crappy version of the piledriver or he would feel the wrath of Mr. Wonderful, because there is only room for one piledriver in RCW.
Dirty White Boy (/w Dirty White Girl) defeated The Trooper by pinfall after a chokeslam at 6:54 **The Trooper had this bout won but after a ref bump he was attacked from behind by DWG who leaped onto his back. The Trooper spun around and ended up elbowing DWG right in the face. She was obviously hurt but DWB seized on the distraction to DDT The Trooper and then once the ref was revived he nailed him with his chokelsam finisher. **after the bout DWG was getting medical attention, it looked like her nose might be broken. DWB celebrated his win while the Trooper was very upset that his actions caused the injury.
Non-title Bout Ricky Steamboat defeated The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by countout at 5:29 **it was decided that Steamboat did not have enough victories lately in RCW to deserve a title shot so this bout was non-title. Steamboat was the first wrestler able to dominate Soultaker, and would have got a pin except Bockwinkel pulled his champ out of the ring and saved him for another day
Promo The Blackhearts (Matt & Brett Derringer) are in the ring and call out their manager Nick Bockwinkel and commissioner Baron von Raschke. They claim they are owed a rematch against Wellington and Bassarab and demand to know why they did not receive it this week. Raschke looks confused and says that was the decision of Bockwinkel. The head of the agency looks on his former tag champs with disdain, and tells them that according to their contracts that return bout does not belong to them, it belongs to their manager, himself. And after the lacklustre effort of last week he has decided not to squander it on them who have no heart, and no chance. Bockwinkel says he has a new tag team coming in and they will get that title shot next week. Unfortunatley for the Blackhearts, Raschke confirms the contract status. However, he suggests that if Bockwinkel is so sure of his new team then they should meet the Blackhearts next week and settle the matter in the ring in a #1 contenders match. Bockwinkel agrees but then says there is no reason for the Blackhearts to wait until next week to meet the new team...as two huge biker/cowboy looking dudes in black leather masks come to the ring...it's the Texas Hangmen Psycho & Killer, and they go right to work on the Blackhearts from behind.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Dynamite Kid defeated Jim Brunzell by pinfall after a snap suplex at 10:10 [Dynamite Kid retained the RCW TV title] **this was an evenly fought match that could have gone either way. In the end the champion took the easy way out using his feet on the ropes for leverage to get the tainted win.

#1 Contenders Match Texas Hangmen Psyco & Killer (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated The Blackhearts (Matt & Brett Derringer) by pinfall when Psyco pinned Brett after a top rope clothesline at 12:11 [approx 6 minutes televised] **The Hangmen are monsters and just overwhelmed the Blackhearts who seened a bit lost without Bockwinkel to help them out
The Trooper defeated Paul Orndorff by pinfall after a bridging full nelson suplex (and outside interference by Dirty White Boy) at 7:54 **Dirty White Boy was scheduled to wrestle Orndorff. However when DWB and DWG came to the ring, DWB was hobbling around on crutches claiming an injured knee, and DWG was sporting a broken nose. DWG says it is all Trooper's fault and asks him to make it up to her by taking DWB's match tonight against Orndorff. Reluctantly he agrees, and the two fan favorites locked up. Orndorff as expected had the better of The Trooper, but when DWG came out and got on the apron to protest to the ref, DWB entered the ring and nailed Orndorff from behind with his crutch. Trooper didn't see the assault as he was trying to get DWG to go to the back, which she did. When he turned around Orndorff was stumbling so Trooper nailed him with a beautiful bridging back suplex and got the tainted upset.
RCW TV Title Match The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Ricky Steamboat by disqualification at 6:22 [Soultaker retains the RCW TV Title] **really hard fought match, these two looked like they wanted this settled in the first few minutes whether they won or lost, holding nothing back, and bringing the fans to their feet. Bockwinkel though mananged to turn the tide by tripping Steamboat as he came off the ropes. This brought Davey Boy Smith down to confront Bockwinkle which distracted the ref. Steamboat made a comeback in the ring and was about to come off the top rope when the Night Stalker slid into the ring, and with the ref still distracted bodyslammed Steamboat off the top. Night Stalker left the ring as the Soultaker scooped up Steamboat, preparing to hit the tombstone piledriver. He managed to hit his finisher but before the ref could make the count Davey Boy Smith had seen enough and entered the ring attacking the Soultaker, and getting Steamboat disqualified.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Dynamite Kid defeated Jim Brunzell by pinfall after a missile dropkick at 14:40 [about 8 minutes televised] [Dynamite Kid retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Brunzell was looking good in his efforts to take the title, but when DKid sent Brunzell over with a backflip at around the 8 minute mark, Brunzell tried to land on his feet and looked like he wrenched his knee. He fought gamely for the next 7 minutes but whenever he would get some momentum the champ would attack the knee and take it away. Finally he nailed a couple of snap suplexes followed by a dropkick from the top rope to hold onto the title.

Dirty White Boy (/w Dirty White Girl) & Doug Somers defeated Paul Orndorff & The Trooper by pinfall when Dirty White Boy pinned The Trooper after a victory roll at 6:46 **Orndorff and Trooper had their opponents outclassed and overmatched, but once again The Trooper was distracted by Dirty White Girl and this allowed Somers to KO him and DWB to then roll him up for the win. **After the match Orndorff was furious with the Trooper telling him to get his head straight and his priorities sorted out, and that DWG was nothing but a hussy. Trooper was mad, and looked ready to go at it with Orndorff, until Mr.Wonderful just said that he was done with The Trooper and warned him to stay away.
Tommy Jammer defeated John Nord by disqualification at 3:49 **short match but Nord seemed to have his mind set on hurting the youngster instead of winning the bout, and ended up just brutalizing him. He was disqualified after using a steel chair shot to bust Jammer wide open.
Night Stalker (/w Ox Baker) defeated Davey Boy Smith by pinfall after a sitdown powerbomb at 9:02 [approximately 7 minutes shown on television] **power versus power match that brought the fans to their feet and exclamations of surprise as each man did the best to drive the other through the canvas to hell below. However, Stalker had one big advantage, and that was the interference of his manager Ox Baker. Baker interfered successfully twice, and the second time was the advantage his man needed to put away the former RCW champion.
Main Event RCW Television Title Match The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Ricky Steamboat by pinfall after a tombstone piledriver at 8:55 [The Soultaker retained the RCW TV title] **another hard fough match that could have gone either way. However Steamboat tried for a diving crossbody block finisher, and the power of the champ allowed him to catch the challenger(although he stumbled backward towards the ropes and Bockwinkel leaped up to the ring apron to steady him). Soultaker then nailed a shoulderbreaker, a couple of kneedrops, scooped up Steamboat and nailed his finisher. **after the match as Soultaker and Bockwinkel celebrated, it was noticed that Steamboat was not moving. EMT's were called down to the ring, but before they could get there Soultaker scooped up Steamboat and nailed another tombstone piledriver!! **Jim Brunzell and Davey Boy Smith came down to the ring to send Soultaker away, but not until after he had laid out one EMT with a clothesline and another with a tombstone. Steamboat was taken off on a stretcher.

Handi-cap Match: Night Stalker & Ox Baker defeated Davey Boy Smith by pinfall when Ox Baker pinned DBS after a heartpunch at 7:51 **DBS thought he might as well take on both of them, that way he could keep an eye on Baker since it was 2 on 1 last week anyway. However, his opponents proved to be just too much for him with their constant double teams and referee distractions. Finally after a double team on a ref bump, Stalker held DBS arms behind his back while Baker delivered the heart punch to pick up the win.
Injury Update; Ricky Steamboat's neck is not a severe injury, but he does have some swelling and pain. He will be out for a few weeks and has returned to North Carolina to rehab.
#1 Contenders Match for Heavyweight Title Paul Orndorff defeated Dirty White Boy (/w Dirty White Girl) by pinfall after a piledriver at 6:03 **Orndorff dominated most of the match but with DWB and DWG the result is always in doubt until the end. DWG tried to interfere by jumping onto the apron and grabbing Orndorff's face from behind. However, Mr. Wonderful spun around instinctively and his elbow made contact with DWG's broken nose sending her screaming to the mat. Orndorff then exploded from the ropes and nailed DWB with a clothesline, followed by another pair of running clotheslines, a short lariat, and then the piledriver finisher. **by the time Mr. Wonderful was administering the piledriver The Trooper had come out to check on DWG. He was furious with Orndorff and hit the ring just while Orndorff was getting his arm raised. Trooper nailed him from behind and began to lay the boots to him. He then nailed a samoan drop outside on the floor to leave Orndorff a wreck. By this time, DWB and DWG were long gone.
RCW Tag Team Title Match Biff Wellington & Ben Bassarab defeated Texas Hangmen Psycho & Killer (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by pinfall after Bassarab pinned Psycho following a top rope splash at 10:30 [approximately 7 minutes televised] [Biff Wellington & Ben Bassarab retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **well if champions retaining their belts was ever considered an upset this may have been the time. The Hangmen controlled the first 8 minutes or so of this match with Wellington playing the part of Ricky Morton. After the hot tag to Bassarab was made Bockwinkel tried to interfere but after Bassarab reversed a whip to the ropes Bockwinkle tripped up his own man Killer. The champs went to work with turnabout being fair play, a series of double teams broken before the refs 5 count, and Bockwinkel losing his mind outside the ring. Finally Wellington nailed Bockwinkel off the apron, Bassarab did the same to Killer. They then nailed Psycho with a double hanging vertical suplex. Wellington dropped a couple knees across the head of Psycho and held down his legs while Bassarab went to the top and came down with a splash. Killer tried to interfere but the champs sent him headlong across the ring, where he collided with Bockwinkel about to enter the ring. Bassarab made the pin and got the 3 count.
Main Event Streetfight John Nord defeated Tommy Jammer by a 10 count in a streetfight at 12:23 [approximately 6 minutes televised] **some of this match could not be televised due to the graphic nature of the two men brutalizing each other throughout the arena. Jammer was a game competitor but in the end Nord was just too tough. **after the match Jammer was attended to by EMT's and they were carrying him out on a stretcher when Nord returned to the scene. Everyone feared a repeat of the Soultaker / Steamboat incident, but instead Nord just walked up said a few words to Jammer, and gave him a gentle pat on the shoulder.

Non-title The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Baron von Raschke by pinfall after the tombstone piledriver at 7:55 **sometimes a legend can just be too old, and this looked like the case as Raschke was handled by the TV champion. **After the bout though the Soultaker was attacked inexplicably by The Night Stalker. Ox Baker attacked Nick Bockwinkel at the same time. Soultaker and Bockwinkel were left lying until The Texas Hangmen came out to send the attackers packing.
John Nord comes to the ring and calls out former TV champion Tommy Jammer. He says that despite their feud, and rather because if it, he has garnered new respect for the California native, and that he is tougher then he looks. When Jammer comes out tentatively, Nord offers to help Jammer win back the TV title by toughening him up. He points out the brawl we just saw with Soultaker and Night Stalker, two beasts, and each with a conniving manager. Nord tells Jammer he will have to change his game if he wants to win. Jammer turns down Nord's offer but the two seem to leave on good terms.
The Texas Hangmen Psycho & Killer (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Jim Brunzell & Jonnie Stewart by pinfall when Psycho pinned Stewart after a stuffed piledriver at 9:01 **Stewart was hurt after this match, so the Hangmen went right after Brunzell at the orders of Bockwinkel. Davey Boy Smith had to run in to make the save.
Dirty White Boy (/w Dirty White Girl) defeated Tommy Jammer by pinfall after a chokeslam and some outside interference at 6:20 **strange match. Jammer controlled most of the bout but then The Trooper came out to confront DWG. She calmed him down, even gave him a nice big kiss. She then convinced him that Jammer was cheating, and so when the time was right Trooper got on the apron and nailed Jammer in the back of the head. DWB took full advantage and picked up the win. After the bout DWB and DWG left arm in arm, while Jammer confronted Trooper. The Trooper responded to a Jammer push with a knee to the groin and then a DDT. Trooper then laid the boots to Jammer until the California surf boy was saved by John Nord.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Paul Orndorff and Dynamite Kid battled to a double countout at 8:07 [Dynamite Kid retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **not much of a match as neither man seemed wanting to waste any brilliant offense in a match that was destined from the start to be a brawl and a DCO.

Televised John Nord & Tommy Jammer defeated Trooper & Dirty White Boy (/w Dirty White Girl) when Jammer pinned DWB after a Jammer Slammer at 8:01 **strange match as Nord showed some tough love for Jammer making this pretty much a handi-cap match, refusing tags in when Jammer was in trouble. He even interfered one time against Jammer to hand the advantage back to their opponents. In the end though when tensions grew between Trooper and DWB over the latter's verbal abuse of DWG, Jammer rallied, and when he hit the Jammer slammer on DWB and went for the pin Nord took out Trooper with a forearm to keep him from breaking up the tag.
RCW Television Title Match The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) and Night Stalker (/w Ox Baker) fought to a no-contest when Bam Bam Bigelow interfered at 6:20 [The Soultaker retained the RCW Television Title] **as if two crazy behemoths were not enough running around RCW, out of the blue Bam Bam Bigelow made his first ever apperance in RCW doing a run in at an advantageous moment and left both wrestlers laid out on their backs outside the ring
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Paul Orndorff defeated Dynamite Kid by pinfall after a piledriver at 15:43 [Paul Orndorff Won the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Orndorff controlled the first third of this match, then Dynamite Kid took over, and spent quite a bit of time taking the bout to the arena floor as well as working off the apron. Orndorff battled back and the two had several segments where they went toe to toe. Orndorff took over and nailed a couple clotheslines, bodyslam, knee drops. When he tried for a backbody drop DKid slid beneath him and popped him in the face, rolled him up for a 2 count. Two snap suplexes and a diving headbutt, but too long to recover so the champion only got another 2 count. Kid then went for a hotshot but Orndorff countered with a hard DDT. Both men staggered to their feet, Dkid kicked the challenger in the gut, went for a DDT of his own but the challenger countered with bodyshots, and then an overhead suplex. The fans were on their feet as the challenger whipped Kid to the buckle and nailed him with a flying clothesline. The piledriver followed seconds later and we had a new champion.

Mixed 6-Man Tag Team Match John Nord, Jim Brunzell, & Wendy Richter defeated The Trooper, Dirty White Boy, & Dirty White Girl by pinfall when Richter pinned DWG after a sunset flip at 11:06 [approximately 5 minutes televised] **rules were when one of the women tagged in the other also had to be in the ring. Thanks to some ungentlemanly behavior by DWB, Wendy Richter was in trouble for a while. Once she made the hot tag out to Brunzell he went to work on DWB and The Trooper. However, DWB tagged in DWG which forced a still beleaguered Richter back into the ring. But DWG ended up telegraphing a back body drop, and Richter rolled her up for the win.
Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Tommy Jammer by pinfall after a slingshot splash at 6:56 **This match was an unofficial #1 contenders match for the TV title, with the winner Bigelow getting in line for a title shot at whomever wins between Soultaker and Night Stalker. John Nord accompanied Jammer down to the ring but could not stay. Jammer acquitted himself well and even though he was frustrated by the loss he was calmed by Nord who told him it was all part of the process of toughening him up.
RCW Television Title Match The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) and Night Stalker (/w Ox Baker) battled to a double countout at 5:13 [Soultaker retains the RCW Television Title] **although this all out brawl lasted only 5 minutes the two continued to brawl for about 3 minutes after as security and wrestlers tried to break them apart. The problem was compounded by the fact that Bockwinkel and Baker were also involved in their own brawl outside the ring.
RCW Tag Team Title Match Biff Wellington & Ben Bassarab defeated The Texas Hangmen Psycho & Killer (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by disqualification for outside interference at 9:08 [Biff Wellington & Ben Bassarab retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **tough, even fought match that could have gone either way. However, its not like slick Nick not to try and upset the odds which he did by tripping up Bassarab. However, this time he was caught and caused his men the match. Afterward as Bockwinkel pestered the referee about his decision, commissioner Baron Von Raschke came down to the ring to put Bockwinkel in his place. First of all while the Hangmen will get one more chance at the titles they will have to wait until June 30th for that shot. In the meantime next week the Texas Hangmen will have to face singles competition. As for singles matches, Bockwinkel and Ox Baker will face each other next week in a battle of the legends. Finally, this Soultaker and Night Stalker feud is so good and the fans are enjoying seeing these two rip into each other so much, that in two weeks time the issue will be settled in a rematch..in a Steel Cage Match!

Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match 2 out of 3 Falls Paul Orndorff defeated Dynamite Kid 2 falls to 1 [Paul Orndorff retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **After an initial flurry by Orndorff, the former champion made a comeback and controlled most of the match. He ended up nailing a diving headbutt and pinned the stunned champ to take the first fall at 5:37 **The second fall went outside the ring and went into full brawl mode. Orndorff then made a comeback inside the ring nailing some power moves including powerslam, then applied a couple submission moves like an abdominal stretch that failed to get the fall. The match spilled outside again and in a strategic move Dynamite Kid waffled Orndorff in the head with a steel chair. This caused him to be disqualified, but it meant he had a decided advantage for the 3rd fall, plus as the announcers pointed out, would taint any victory by Orndorff as not being conclusive. 9:59 **The final fall was all Kid for the first few minutes but while he had 5 near 3 counts he could not finish the champ off even with snap suplexes, slingshot suplex, and another diving headbutt. You could also see the champion gaining back momentum despite the punishment. The action went to the floor where Orndorff took over and threw Kid against the ring apron then rocked him with a flying clothesline. Kid tried to either gain back control or get himself disqualified by going for another chair shot, but Orndorff blocked it and threw the chair away; so the ref let the fall continue. Back inside Orndorff surprised the crowd and challenger with an iron clawhold, before going back to a series of clotheslines and bodyslam, back body drops. A samoan drop got a near fall, but an attempt at a piledriver was fought through by Kid who back dropped the champ. His surge was short lived though as Orndorff nailed a lariat, followed by a diving knee drop, and a German suplex, and then his piledriver finisher to get the job done at 17:08

RCW Tag Team Title Match Biff Wellington & Ben Bassarab defeated Dirty White Boy & The Trooper (/w Dirty White Girl) by pinfall when Wellington pinned Trooper after a jumping piledriver at 6:34 [Biff Wellington & Ben Bassarab retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **DWB and DWG blamed Trooper for the loss and when the pushing started DWB ended it by nailing Trooper with a chokeslam. As he and DWG left the ring though he sent her back to help Trooper to the back.
Main Event Steel Cage Match RCW Television Title Match Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Night Stalker (/w Ox Baker) by pinfall after a tombstone piledriver at 9:50 [Soultaker retains the RCW Television Title] **Night Stalker was busted open early in this match which provided the champion with a decided advantage. The champ used the top rope for leverage as he continually worked over the arm of the challenger, and then used the steel cage to damage the fingers of the challenger by hooking them through the cage and pulling. Night Stalker though didn't need his fingers to kick the champ in the groin, bull rush him into the corner, scoop him over his shoulder and drive him into the steel cage. He followed up with a series of knees and ebows and a powerslam to get the 2 count. The war raged back and forth between the two men, both of whom were now wearing the crimson mask. Bockwinkel looked like he was going to try and pass something to Soultaker through the cage which distracted the ref and brought Ox Baker over to do battle with Nick. This also distracted the the challenger, and Soultaker took advantage to take his legs out from behind, and then drive him headfirst into the steel ring post. He got a 2 count after a slingshot suplex, so needed to nail the tombstone to pick up the decision.

Tommy Jammer & Jim Brunzell defeated Bam Bam Bigelow & Doug Somers by pinfall when Brunzell pinned Somers after a flying dropkick at 8:58 **Somers turned out to be the weak link that Jammer and Brunzell exploited. Bigelow was so frustrated that he did not attempt to make the save at the end of the match. It looked like he was having thoughts of attacking Jammer after the match but with both Jammer and Brunzell there he decided not to. John Nord came out from the back after the match but he and Brunzell just kind of ended up in a stare down.
Steve Disalvo defeated the Unknown Soldier by pinfall after a full nelson slam at 3:01 **The former RCW Heavyweight champion and powerhouse is back and the fans are not pleased about it. He absolutely played with and destroyed a very credible opponent in this bout. Says he is here to reclaim his title and wants to put Orndorff on the shelf permanently.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Champion vs. Champion Paul Orndorff defeated The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by disqualification for outside interference at 10:40 [Paul Orndorff retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Soultaker controlled early, but the champ used his veteran wisdom to mount a comeback. When things looked to be going in his favour too much, Bockwinkel jumped on the apron and nailed Orndorff from behind drawing the DQ. After the match the Soultaker and Bockwinkel attacked Orndorff but he was saved by Tommy Jammer and Jim Brunzell. However, Steve Disalvo made an appearance but instead of attacking he just stared the champion down.

Paul Orndorff & Jim Brunzell defeated Soultaker & Nick Bockwinkel by pinfall when Orndorff pinned Bockwinkel after a piledriver at 12:50 [approximately 10 minutes shown on television] **Brunzell had a long stretch in the first half of this match where he played Ricky Morton. However, Bockwinkel proved to be the weak link in this bout and the Soultaker could only compete virtually on his own for so long before the inevitable happened. **after the match Steve Disalvo came out to challenge the champion, telling him that if he ever uses "his" finishing move the piledriver again that he will cripple him. This didn't go over well with the champ and the two ended up in a brawl. Brunzell was unable to help because he was busy fending off Soultaker and Bockwinkel. Disalvo rammed the champ's head into the ringpost and then nailed him with a piledriver to leave him laying.
Main Event RCW Tag Team Title Match The Texas Hangmen Psyco & Killer (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Biff Wellington & Ben Bassarab by pinfall when Killer pinned Bassarab after a top rope hanging swinging neckbreaker at 10:04 [The Texas Hangmen won the RCW Tag Team Titles] **well you just had the feeling that if this big team were to receive enough title shots eventually they would have to win, and tonight was the night. It was a pretty even match but in the end it was Bassarab's lack of size and power that hurt his team.

Steve Disalvo comes out to gloat about injuring the champ, and to demand the title be given to him. The fans come to their feet though when Don Muraco comes to the ring to get into Disalvo's face. Don Muraco is apparently back in RCW! He says Orndorff was a true champ, and a real man, unlike the idiot Disalvo. Baron von Raschke continues on while the two men have a stare down. He says that on August 4th there will be a special one night 16-man tournament to declare a new champion.

RCW Television Title Match Tommy Jammer defeated The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by pinfall after a Jammer Slammer at 7:09 [Tommy Jammer Won the RCW Television Title] **a big upset for Jammer. When Bockwinkel got involved in this match many eyes turned to see if John Nord would come help out Jammer but he did not appear. Jammer had to overcome both his massive opponent as well as the legendary manager. In the end though courage and youthful energy carried the day. **after the match both John Nord and Jim Brunzell came out to congratulate the new champion, and there is obviously some friction between those two men.
Main Event RCW Tag Team Title Match Biff Wellington & Ben Bassarab defeated Texas Hangmen Psycho & Killer (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by disqualification due to outside interference at 10:31 [Texas Hangmen retain the RCW Tag Team Titles] **Bockwinkel seemed very flustered after just having his TV champion Soultaker lose his belt and seemed determined not to have the same thing happen here. Don Muraco & Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Night Stalker (/w Ox Baker) & Steve Disalvo by pinfall when Bigelow pinned Disalvo after a top rope splash at 7:45 **wow, this match was a cluster****. The final occurred because Muraco and Bigelow at least agreed to double team Disalvo while Night Stalker refused to step in and help.

Round 1
Jim Brunzell defeated Tommy Jammer by disqualification at 7:34 **Jammer's manager of record John Nord came down part way through the match and interfered, tripping Brunzell but was caught by the referee. This caused Jammer's DQ. The TV champion lost his cool and not only did he lay out Nord but in his frustration he also laid out Brunzell with a Jammer Slammer.
Texas Hangman Killer (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Ben Bassarab by pinfall at 5:05
Ricky Steamboat defeated the Night Stalker by pinfall at 8:50 **a brutal match that left Steamboat clutching some injured ribs. A win but one that came at a severe cost.

John Nord defeated The Trooper by pinfall at 10:39
Roddy Piper defeated Dirty White Boy (/w Dirty White Girl) by submission to the sleeperhold at 5:40 **the hugely popular Piper made short work of DWB, and then went over and kissed DWG
Steve Disalvo defeated Davey Boy Smith by disqualification at 8:31 **what a tough first round draw for both these men, and one of the tourney favorites would be out. In the heat of the brawl DBS grabbed a chair from under a fan and in old Stampede fashion waffled Disalvo over the head drawing the DQ
The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Biff Wellington by countout at 4:45 **this match got heated real quick with Bockwinkel in the middle of it
Round 2
Texas Hangman Killer (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Jim Brunzell by pinfall after a bulldog from the 2nd buckle at 7:46 **a combination of a sore neck from Jammer's attack and the work of the wiley Bockwinkel helped Killer to a big upset win
Don Muraco defeated Ricky Steamboat by pinfall after a piledriver at 12:23 **probably match of the night, with the two former foes facing off. Muraco offered a handshake to start things, but Steamboat refused. Muraco started fair and square but after some setbacks went after the ailing ribs of Steamboat. He kept going back to them and the tide of the battle changed every time. After a couple ribbreakers he tried to get a submission by holding the ribbreaker but Steamboat refused to give in. Finally Muraco nailed the piledriver and picked up the win.
Roddy Piper defeated John Nord by submission to the sleeperhold after 2:07 **even faster work this time out for Piper who looks fresh for the next round
Steve Disalvo defeated The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by countout at 11:59 **very tough contest with both men giving as good as they got. The match spilled outside where they took turns throwing each other around ringside until Disalvo slipped back in to beat the count ahead of the Soultaker
Round 3
Don Muraco defeated Texas Hangman Killer (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by pinfall after a spinebuster slam at 9:11 **Muraco controlled early then took some punishment. However, it was Bockwinkel's interference and referee distractions that looked like they were going to win the day, until Rowdy Roddy Piper came down to the ring and took out Bockwinkel with a series of running clotheslines. This distraction also gave Muraco a few needed seconds to recover, and he finished off Killer in quick fashion.
Steve Disalvo defeated Roddy Piper by pinfall after a piledriver at 8:02 **Nick Bockwinkel came down and got his revenge by passing Disalvo some brass knuckles and distracting the ref so he could use them.
Interview Roddy Piper complains about Bockwinkel until commissioner Baron von Raschke comes out and tells Piper that if he comes back next week he'll be able to get his hands on Bockwinkel in a tag team match. Piper accepts.
Final RCW Heavyweight Title Match Steve Disalvo defeated Don Muraco after a flying clothesline (and with his feet on the ropes) at 15:22 [Steve Disalvo wins the vacant RCW Heavyweight Title] **a titanic struggle that saw each man try and get in his piledriver to no avail.

Main Event Tag Team Match Roddy Piper & Don Muraco defeated Steve Disalvo & Nick Bockwinkel by submission when Piper put Bockwinkel down with the sleeperhold at 10:21 **Bockwinkle misjudged how much loyalty Disalvo would have for him, and when the going got tough so did the champion who put self preservation ahead of victory. After the bout though the Texas Hangmen hit the ring and laid out Muraco and Piper

September 22, 1990 River City Wrestling #439
Winnipeg, Manitoba
Jerry Lawler defeated Charlie Norris by pinfall
Jim Brunzell defeated Larry Zbyszko by countout
Signing Nick Bockwinkel shocked the crowd by calling out Night Stalker and signing him to his agency to join Soultaker as a tag tem. No one quite knows what this means for Bock's other tag team the Texas Hangmen and he wasn't willing to talk about it. They did challenge the tag champions to a match tonight. The champs accepted but Baron von Raschke declared that it would be non-title.

Brunzell benefited from champion Steve Disalvo coming down to the ring and distracting Zeus, who leaned so far over the ropes that Brunzell was able to dropkick him over. Seems like Disalvo is ducking Zeus.

Texas Hangmen defeated Davey Boy Smith & Tommy Jammer by pinfall **Hangmen want their tag titles back and went through this impressive duo to make their point
RCW Tag Team Title Match Ben Bassarab & Biff Wellington defeated Nightstalker & Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by pinfall [Biff Wellington & Ben Bassarab retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **lots going on this match. First of all it was obvious that there is still something wrong with Wellington's leg and his mobility was limited in this match. Bassarab carried the team. On the other side, Nightstalker seemed to be wrestling conservative and often tagged out quickly to Soultaker, maybe wanting to keep himself saved for defending his TV title. When Soultaker complained to Bockwinkel the manager just waved him away to go back and wrestle. Soon enough the challengers took over the match isolating Wellington. However, when they resorted to using the tag rope to choke and referee distractions to allow double teams, the Texas Hangmen came down and threatened Bockwinkel and his charges. They got into a fistfight with the challengers outside the ring and Bassarab sailed over the top rope to splash on the Nightstalker. The Hangmen left the ring with their damage done. The champions took back control of the match and Nightstalker didn't seem interested in turning the tables. The end came when Wellington had Soultaker over his knee and Bassarab dropped an elbow from the second rope directly on the temple.
Main Event #1 contender match; Winner gets title shot at Anniversary show Rick Steamboat defeated Don Muraco by pinfall **another epic battle between these two men, and it really heated up, inside and outside the ring despite both being fan favourites. Steve Disalvo came down to ringside to give guest commentary, uninvited, but didn't interfere in the match just gave his negative opinions on the two men in the ring. In the end Steamboat countered a Muraco piledriver attempt with hedscissors, then a dropkick, followed by a crossbody block to pick up the win.

Kathy Weathers defeated Tiffany Brannigan by pinfall **unsuccessful premiere for valley girl Tiffany Brannigan
Davey Boy Smith defeated Dan Denton by pinfall
The Trooper defeated Kid Gallahad by pinfall **tainted win, this one isn't settled
Sheik Lou Fabiano & The Tasmanian Devil defeated Big Rhett & Tim Hunt by pinfall **from the east coast, the Devil looks short but impressive, Fabiano is more his manager then his partner
Paul Orndorff defeated Mike George by pinfall **great return from injury for the former RCW Heavyweight champion, back in the mix
RCW TV Title Match Tommy Jammer defeated Night Stalker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by DQ [Night Stalker retained the RCW TV Title] **Bockwinkel got his man dq'd on purpose when Jammer had things going in his favor. Just before that Bockwinkel was gesturing for someone from the back (Soultaker??) but no one appeared so he had to do the dirty deed himself. This feud will continue over to the anniversary show. Main Event Ricky Steamboat & Don Muraco defeated Steve Disalvo & Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by disqualification **Steamboat and Muraco make almost as good of partners as they did opponents, a great combination of speed and power. Disalvo and Soultaker were fighting like they had something to lose, and in the end they decided to refuse to leave the ring and fought with two men until they were disqualified.

11th Anniversary Show
Opening Bout Jumpin' Joe Savoldi defeated Mike George by pinfall at 9:26 after a jumping neck snap from the top rope **A clash of styles between the athletic high flying Savoldi and the classic ground wrestler George. The fans were solidly behind the action packed Savoldi who started strong, but when the match spilled to the floor George took over. George pressed his advantage and drew jeers from the crowd when he relentlessly worked a headscissors and then an armbar. He tried for a submission with a chickenwing but was too close to the ropes and Savolidi got the break. Joe mustered his energy while George complained to the ref, and then started to fight back. The action was fast and furious with Savoldi hitting a crossbody block only to have George roll through, and get the 1, 2, grab the tights, but the ref called for the break. Savoldi rolled up George for 2, but then George landed a knee to the gut, then a big knee lift to the face. He hit Savoldi with a spinebuster slam, and then set him up on the top rope, possibly for a superplex. However Savoldi kicked him off to create distance, and then jumped off the top snapping George's neck back as the two dropped to the mat. That was all he needed to pick up the win.
Special Tag Team Match Sheik Lou Fabiano & Tasmanian Devil defeated Jason Anderson & Charlie Norris by pinfall at 6:49 when the Devil pinned Anderson after an overhead belly to belly suplex **The Tasmanian Devil is quite the piece of work at a compact 5'9 240 lbs and one punishing move after another. He carried most of the match with Fabiano only coming in when his charge had a distinct advantage. However at one point Norris came on like a house on fire and managed to fight off both opponents. However when the ref was distracted escorting Anderson out of the ring it allowed the Devil to nail Norris from behind. Fabiano dropped a couple kneedrops then tagged out to the Tasmanian who hit a pair of lariats, put him in the corner for some punishing shoulderblocks and sidekicks. He followed this up with a snap suplex and then his finishing suplex.
John Nord defeated Pez Whatley by submission to the camel clutch at 10:12 **Whatley came to RCW from the south where he is a well known competitor for the NWA, as well as Florida and Alabama. Nord exerted his power in this match but Whatley gave as good as he took. However Pez made a mistake taking too long to go for a diving headbutt finisher which Nord rolled away from. He quickly followed up with a whip to the ropes and a big boot to the head, a side slam, and then put on the camel clutch and got the submission.
North American Women's Title Match Bad Girl defeated Wendy Richter by pinfall after a schoolgirl roll up at 8:40 [Bad Girl retained the North American Women's Title] **The match started as all Richter a house of fire. For the first 5 minutes she beat Bad Girl pillar to post but to give credit where due, the Bad Girl managed to kick out of one pin attempt after another. The turning point came when Richter went to the ring apron and executed a neck snap on Bad Girl who was inside the ring. However, when Richter landed outside the ring her leg went out from under her and it was apparent right away that she was having an issue with her knee. Once the champ recovered she went right to the knee of Richter. The ex-champ fought bravely and at one point looked like she might be able to pull off a win with a roll up but her knee buckled, she crashed, and Bad Girl rolled her up for the win.
Kid Gallahad defeated The Trooper by pinfall after a missile dropkick at 13:59 **very competitive match. Gallahad started strong but tried for a leap over the top rope splash onto Trooper on the floor only to have his opponent twist out of the way. Trooper went to work with boots, chokeholds, and then a devastating full nelson slam, that yielded a near fall. He locked on his finisher the big pinch, two handed neck claw, but Gallahad managed to escape by rolling backward and up taking Trooper down with a headscissors. Back on the offensive Gallahad nailed a pair of flying clotheslines, a snap suplex, and then his finisher. The fans seem quite happy to see the Scottish punk back in RCW.
Paul Orndorff defeated The Soultaker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) by pinfall after a piledriver at 6:14 **fast match but one that included a lot of violence. Soultaker went right after the neck area of the former champ returning from injury but couldn't sustain the momentum. Bockwinkel grabbed the ankle of Orndorff who then left the ring to attack the former AWA great. In the melee the ref got knocked out. Soultaker tried for a chairshot but Orndorff moved and it hit Bockwinkel instead. Orndorff then grabbed the chair and ~waffled~ Soultaker twice. Back inside the ring Orndorff delivered a big boot, and then a diving knee drop. Seconds later he nailed the big man with the piledriver and as Bockwinkel looked on in disbelief got the 1, 2, 3.
Jim Brunzell defeated Larry Zbyszko by pinfall after a flying dropkick at 11:11 **Zbyszko played his usual games of hide and seek and gripe and groan. But the veteran Brunzell kept his cool, and also survived a thumb to the eye which found its mark and caused it to swell up and shut. Despite all that Brunzell came on like a house of fire and nailed a beautiful dropkick to the chin to knock Zbyszko completely out.
Don Muraco defeated Davey Boy Smith by countout at 15:25 **started with a tentative handshake, some collar elbow hookups, tests of power, then some armbars. However, neither man, especially Muraco is exactly Lou Thesz so soon enough it heated up with some chops, then punches. Muraco hit a devastating shoulderblock to gain the advantage. He pushed it with a bodyslam, a couple knees to the back and then a surfboard. The two spilled out to the floor on the rope break, and there Smith gained the advantage and threw Muraco into the steel barricade. Back inside the ring Smith hit a powerbomb, a pair of running clotheslines, and it yielded a 2 count. A sleeperhold slowed down the match a bit but soon it picked up again with an exchange of punches. For the second time it spilled outside the ring. Muraco tried to send Smith into the barricade, but it was reversed and Muraco went crashing. DBS followed up with a running clothesline but Muraco ducked under it and sent DBS into the second and third row of seats. Muraco managed to stumble back into the ring to beat the 10 count but DBS was not able to follow. Hottest match of the night so far.
Roddy Piper defeated Zeus by disqualification at 11:33 **Zeus came out alone, no Jesse Ventura in tow. Piper attacked Zeus as he stepped through the ring ropes and we were on before the bell could ring. Piper hit Zeus with everything he could, a buzzsaw for the first half of the match, Zeus' head never came straight up, and the first time we saw his eyes on fire were when he managed to wrap both hands around Piper's throat and lift him up into a choke, with the Scottsman's legs dangling in the air. Zeus went to work with kicks, punches, and then a solid looking chokeslam. He got the 1, 2, then he lifted Piper's head up!! This match should have been over about 7 minutes in but Zeus wanted to hurt Piper more. He draped him across the second rope and choked him on the covered cable. He then sent him shoulder first into the ringpost, before pulling him by the legs into the middle of the ring and applying a very painful looking legspreader. Piper though managed to fight back, from his knees, punching Zeus in the thighs, and then as the ref circled, one right in the crotch. Piper now gained control and tried to get the win by jumping on Zeus' back and putting him in the sleeper. Zeus tried to get the break but Piper just kept holding on. Finally Zeus went backward to the ropes and the two men spilled out to the floor. There Piper went to work with fists to the head of the behemoth who in a fit of anger grabbed a chair and laid out Piper. Glowering overtop of the knocked out veteran, he wasn't aware that he had just caused his own disqualification.
RCW Television Title Match The Nightstalker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Tommy Jammer by pinfall after a pumphandle slam at 7:43 [The Nightstalker retained the RCW Television Title] **This match went back and forth with neither man getting a sustained advantage, and Bockwinkel was a non-factor. Then things changed suddenly when Nightstalker tossed Jammer outside the ring, followed to the ring apron and then did a dive onto the challenger. The huge move was followed back inside the ring by a fist drop, and then the finisher and it was all over, quickly and decidedly.
RCW Tag Team Title Match The Texas Hangmen: Psycho & Killer defeated Biff Wellington & Ben Bassarab by pinfall when Psycho pinned Bassrab after an assisted flying clothesline at 8:50 [The Texas Hangmen win the RCW Tag Team Titles] **another surprisingly quick match. In this one Wellington ran into trouble early as the challengers went to work on his injured knee. He was ineffective after that and Bassarab had to pretty much go it alone, and the two big challengers just wore him down.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Ricky Steamboat defeated Strangler Steve Disalvo by pinfall after a diving crossbody block at 15:09 [Ricky Steamboat wins the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Disalvo attacked Steamboat as he entered the ring and then tossed him outside. Following him outside he drove Steamboat back first into the ring apron, twice, and this softened up the back for later in the match. Back inside Disalvo went with Greco-Roman punches to the head and then some kicks before a big bodyslam. Turning Steamboat over he dropped knees to the lower back and then locked on a Boston crab. The challenger gamely managed to make it to the ropes but the reprieve was short as the champion put on a bearhug. Finally Steamboat got going with some elbows to the head for the break, but when he came off the ropes he walked right into another bearhug. Again he fought his way out, nailed a couple spinning heel kicks and then took the champion down with spinning headscissors. He worked the headscissors for a bit and then went to a side headlock, before the two participated in a complicated series of criss crosses off the ropes. That sequence ended with Disalvo telegraphing a back body drop, Steamboat sliding down and nailing the champ with an uppercut forearm, then taking him down into a roll up for a 2 count. The champ came roaring back with a clothesline, then began to stomp away at the challenger who had to roll out of the ring to get away. As he tried to get back into the ring Disalvo grabbed him by the hair, but Steamboat nailed him with a forearm shiver, then snapped him throat first off the second rope. Steamboat went to the top buckle and came crashing down with an elbowdrop but only got a 2 count. He tried for a scoop slam but the big champ caused him to hurt his back. Disalvo nailed him with an earringer, then drove him chest first into the buckle. Disalvo nailed his piledriver finisher but his cover was sloppy and Steamboat got a foot on the bottom rope. Steamboat tried to recover as the champ argued with the ref. When the challenger got to his feet he saw red as the champ went for a running spear. Steamboat tried to get out of the way but the champ still got most of it. He covered and the ref counted, 1, 2, 3...or at least his hand slapped the ring for the 3rd count...but the ref immediately began to wave it off as he saw the foot on the bottom rope just before his hand hit the mat. Disalvo though didn't see him waving it off and was celebrating his win with his arms up in triumph. Steamboat attacked with a flying dropkick to the back of the champ which drove him into the buckle. Steamboat sent him to the ropes and hit him with the diving crossbody block and got the 3 count! We have a new and very popular Heavyweight champion of River City Wrestling!!

Annual Awards Night
Ricky Steamboat comes out to accept match of the year honors on behalf of himself and Davey Boy Smith for their Feb 24th 1990 #1 contenders match at RCW # 413 in Brandon Manitoba. After over 17 minutes of action Davey Boy Smith picked up the win, but it was in part due to unsolicited outside interference from Pat Brady.
Tommy Jammer defeated The Trooper by pinfall
Mason Thunder (/w Kelly St Croix) defeated Dough Boy by pinfall **two newcomers to RCW, one looked impressive, the other, not so much. Thunder is a tall lanky competitor, who talks very intensely, wears a long ponytail, and used some martial arts moves in his match although he hails from Los Angeles. Kelly St. Croix is a stunning brunette from Quebec.
Non-title Match: The Texas Hangmen (Psycho & Killer) defeated Rick Winter & The Nomad by pinfall
Paul Diamond defeated Dan Denton by pinfall **Diamond makes a triumphant return to RCW
4-Team Mini Tournament to Decide #1 Tag Team Contenders Semi-Finals Tasmanian Devil & Sheik Lou Fabiano defeated Jerry Lynn & Joe Savoldi by pinfall
Ben Bassarab & Kid Gallahad defeated Dan Denton & Timothy Flowers by pinfall
After the match, Ben Bassarab accepts the RCW 1990 Tag Team of the Year award for himself and Biff Wellington who won the title on 3 separate occasions last year. Bassarab says that Wellington's injuries caught up with him, and because of their accumulated effect he will be taking some time off. He talks about how excited he is to team with Kid Gallahad. Unlike Wellington instead of having complimentary styles, these two have very comparable styles and they should be able to bring a fast paced relentless attack. This brings out The Texas Hangmen who say its a crock that Bassarab and Wellington received that award. Not only did they win the titles 3 times, but they also lost the title 3 times, so in addition to being the best team they should be awarded the worst team. No one cares about history, its for losers, the present is what counts and presently the Hangmen have the titles. Bassarab and Gallahad tell the bigger men to count their days because they won't be champs much longer. Baron von Raschke comes out and says that some things never change. He announces that Ben Bassarab & Biff Wellington versus the Texas Hangmen has been announced as the 1990 feud of the year. He says he has put award plaques in both dressing rooms, not wanting to have more hardware out here that could be used as a weapon.
Challenge match Lethal Larry Cameron defeated Don Muraco by disqualification **Cameron came out running his mouth, challenging Steamboat. Instead he got Muraco from the back. However instead of being overwhelmed by the veteran, he met power with power, and added just enough cheating to make Muraco lose his cool, toss the ref to the side and cause his own disqualification. After the match Muraco was still livid with the ref and Steamboat had to come out and calm his friend down.
RCW Heritage Title Match Nightstalker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Jim Brunzell by pinfall [Nightstalker retained the RCW Heritage Title] **prior to the match Baron von Raschke the RCW commissioner came out to the ring and announced that the TV title would be renamed the Heritage title.
After the match Nick Bockwinkel is presented with his Manager of the Year award. He gloats and goes on a long acceptance speech which is finally cut off after about 5 minutes when the house mic is cut.
Finals - #1 Contenders Match Ben Bassarab & Kid Gallahad defeated Tasmanian Devil & Sheik Lou Fabiano by pinfall
Prior to the match Steve Disalvo is presented with his "Wrestler of the Year" plaque as RCW's top performer in 1990. This is his second award. He offers to sell it to anyone in the crowd for $100 and a ride out of town.

Mason Thunder and Tommy Jammer battled to a double countout at 7:01 **the ring could not hold the animosity between these two that built up during the match.
Tasmanian Devil defeated Paul Diamond by submission with a half-nelson chinlock at 4:55 **very impressive victory for the youngster over the veteran.
Joe Savoldi defeated Sheik Lou Fabiano by pinfall after a standing dropkick at 4:09 **after the match as Savoldi celebrated the Tasmanian Devil hit the ring and attacked Savoldi from behind, avenging the loss by his manager
Jerry Lynn defeated the Trooper by submission with the sleeperhold at 8:48 **Lynn is announced as the #1 contender for the Heritage title and will face Night Stalker next week for that belt
RCW Tag Team Title Match Texas Hangmen Psycho & Killer defeated Ben Bassarab & Kid Gallahad by pinfall when Killer pinned Bassrab after Psycho hit him with the cowbell at 8:07 [Texas Hangmen retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **fairly even match but when the ref was distracted having to put Gallahad out of the ring, Psycho took advantage. This one is far from over.
Main Event Special Tag Team Match Ricky Steamboat & Don Muraco defeated Larry Cameron & Steve Disalvo by pinfall when Steamboat pinned Cameron after a flying crossbody block at 11:49 **this tag team match was to settle both feuds. However instead Muraco took exception to Steamboat having made the pin although Muraco was banging his foot and yelling for the tag. So after the match Muraco blind sided Steamboat with a clothesline and then laid him out with a piledriver. Muraco went to the announce table and said that being Mr. Nice guy got him no where, only to finish last, and that he was sick of Steamboat getting all the attention. No more Mr. Nice Guy said Muraco.

Mason Thunder (/w Kelly St.Croix) defeated Tommy Jammer by pinfall after a Savate kick at 6:41
Joe Savoldi defeated the Tasmanian Devil (/w Sheik Lou Fabiano) by pinfall after a flying dropkick at 9:02 **a bit of an upset here as The Devil had looked very formidable in his prior matches. But the Devil and the Sheik attacked Savoldi after the match to assure a rematch.
RCW Heritage Title Match Nightstalker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Jerry Lynn by pinfall after a powerbomb at 6:15 [Nightstalker retained the RCW Heritage title] **Jerry Lynn actually fought a heck of a match despite the short duration and had the big man reeling. However, when he climbed to the top rope to try and finish off a prone champion, Nick Bockwinkel jumped up on the apron and in reaction Lynn dove on him, the two falling to the floor outside the ring. Although he took care of the manager, this gave the champ time to recover and he caught Lynn with a knee as he came through the ropes. A couple moves later and the champ retains.
Lethal Larry Cameron defeated Jim Brunzell by pinfall after a jumping clothesline at 5:18 **big win for Cameron and in decisive fashion. He managed to move out of the way of a Brunzell dropkick and then came right back with a jumping clothesline to beat the former champion.
RCW Tag Team Title Match Texas Hangmen: Psycho & Killer and Ben Bassarab & Kid Gallahad battled to a no-contest at 7:38 [Texas Hangmen retained the RCW Tag Titles] **the animosity between these two teams is through the charts. They could not contain themselves to inside the ring or to one on one, and finally the match was just thrown out.
Commissioner Baron von Raschke came out to declare that this feud needs to be settled next card here in Winnipeg, and says the two teams will meet in a Texas Tornado Bull rope match, where there can be no countout and no DQ, so a winner will be declared.
Raschke also announces that heavyweight champion Ricky Steamboat was hurt last month at the hands of Don Muraco and it looks like he will not be able to defend his title. Therefore unless Steamboat makes a recovery his belt will be forfeit and a champion will be determined via tournament at the St. Patrick's week card. Muraco comes out to complain saying that since he was the one that put Steamboat on the shelf the title should just be handed to him.
Main Event Paul Orndorff defeated Don Muraco by disqualification at 15:03 **these two fought tooth and nail. In the end Muraco took the lazy way out hitting Orndorff with a chair to get the DQ, leaving him laying in his own blood. Grabbing a mic Muraco announced that he may have lost the battle but it will help him win the war, softening up Orndorff before the heavyweight title tournament. Muraco and Orndorff certainly have to be considered the favorites going into the tournament.

Tasmanian Devil (/w Sheik Lou Fabiano) defeated Joe Savoldi by pinfall at 4:43 **The Devil put a quick end to this match with an exclamation point
Lethal Larry Cameron and Strangler Steve Disalvo battled to a double disqualification at 6:10 **Raschke set up this match as a surprise, but it didn't last too long as both men couldn't stand not being the alpha male in the ring and wouldn't stop trying to hit each other with anything they could get their hands on.
RCW Tag Team Title Match Texas Tornado Bull Rope Match Kid Gallahad & Ben Bassarab defeated The Texas Hangmen: Psycho & Killer when Bassarab dragged Psycho to all 4 corners at 15:36 [Kid Gallahad & Ben Bassarab won the RCW Tag Titles] **The Hangman controlled early but whenever they tried to finish it, Gallahad or Bassarab would help the other and break it up. They used team work to tie up Killer in the corner, and Gallahad kept him busy while Bassarab took care of Psycho dragging him to all 4 corners.
Main Event Cage Match Paul Orndorff defeated Don Muraco by pinfall after a piledriver at 10:50 **both men were a bloody mess by the end of the match, and it really could have gone either way. RCW Tag Team Titles Kid Gallahad & Ben Bassarab defeated The Texas Hangmen by DQ at 9:59 [Kid Gallahad & Ben Bassarab retained the RCW Tag Titles] **it's likely that most fans that entered the arena this night did not even know that Gallahad and Bassarab had won the tag titles the night before in Winnipeg. Their pleasure was doubled when the fan favourites used their speed to dominate their bigger opponents who resorted to continual double teams that eventually got them DQ'd for an assisted top rope clothesline which they could not execute before the 5 count.
Main Event Bermuda Triangle Match Paul Orndorff defeated Don Muraco and Larry Cameron by pinfall at 15:31 **All 3 men are legal at all times. Muraco pinned Cameron at 9:07 after some double team help from Orndorff to make the fans happy, and then Orndorff pinned Muraco after a piledriver to send the fans home even happier.

However, besides being a regular top contender and main eventer he also held the tag titles with Chris Lyon. Mike Valiant will be on hand in April to be officially inducted into the Hall of Fame.
North American Women's Title Match Desire Petersen defeated Bad Girl by pinfall after a Samoan drop at 5:03 [Desire Petersen wins the North American Women's Title] **a decisive and clean victory for the new champion
The Destruction Crew: Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom defeated Paul Diamond & Charlie Norris by pinfall when Bloom pinned Norris after a double underhook suplex at 8:38 **after the match frustrated by his own losing streak as well as 2 straight tag losses with Norris, Paul Diamond attacked his partner, nailing him with a superkick then a cobra clutch suplex. He stomped away and kicked Norris out of the ring. Unannounced from the back came Wahoo McDaniel to make the save by chasing Diamond from the ring.
RCW Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi-Finals Jerry Lynn defeated Paul Orndorff by pinfall after a jumping DDT at 7:14 **Orndorff was in control of this match when Muraco came down to the ring and interfered by tripping up Orndorff. It was all the advantage that Lynn needed to hit the DDT and pick up a huge upset win. Not sure if Muraco did it due to his feud with Orndorff or because he wanted less competition later tonight if he makes it to the final.
Larry Cameron defeated Don Muraco by pinfall after a jumping clothesline at 6:50 **not sure what Muraco was expecting but the fans were not surprised when Orndorff came out to exact revenge. The ref was expecting it though and cut him off at the pass. However it still distracted Muraco enough that Cameron drove him face first into the ringpost, then hit his finisher to pick up the win.
Challenge Match Mason Thunder (/w Kelly St Croix) and Wahoo McDaniel battled to a double countout at 5:12 **Thunder came to the ring and cut the usual "any one with the guts to come out here" promo and was surprised when the well loved veteran McDaniel came out to answer the bell, still pumped up over what happened to Norris earlier in the night. The two turned this into a brawl which got them both counted out.
RCW Tag Team Title Match Ben Bassarab & Kid Gallahad and The Texas Hangmen: Psycho & Killer battled to a no-contest at 10:19 [Bassarab & Gallahad retained the RCW Tag Titles] **a very hard fought contest that was ruined when the Destruction Crew hit the ring and went right after both tired teams. This turned into a 6 man brawl so the match was thrown out.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Tournament Final Match Lethal Larry Cameron defeated Jerry Lynn by pinfall after a powerslam at 17:27 [Lethal Larry Cameron wins the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Cameron controlled the first few minutes with his power, but then Lynn made a huge comeback and for the next 7 minutes or so beat the bigger Cameron from pillar to post, never giving him a chance to catch his breath. Finally Cameron turned the tide with a rake of the eyes, then a clothesline. A ref bump happened when Lynn moved out of the way of a football tackle and Cameron took out the ref. Cameron though nailed Lynn with a firemans carry into a slam, then retrieved a steel chair. He swung at Lynn who moved, the chair bounced off the top rope hitting Cameron in the face. He dropped the chair and then Lynn nailed a bulldog onto the chair. The ref got back to his feet and was going to count the 1, 2, 3, but got confused by the chair laying around and started to demand an explanation from Lynn and then the announce crew. Finally he shook off the cobwebs but by then Cameron was back on his feet. The big man went toe to toe with Lynn backing him into the corner. Lynn reversed a whip to the corner and then followed in with a clothesline, and then hit a jumping DDT as Cameron came out of the corner. It was counted, 1, 2, Kickout. Lynn got greedy and went to the top, but his missile dropkick missed when Cameron moved out of the way. Lynn though still had the upper hand and went for another jumping DDT, but the big Cameron caught him and then nailed a powerslam to pick up the win and the title.

Breaking kayfabe; Well at this point I have run out of pre recorded cards. I have championship histories, sporadic rosters, a few obvious feuds, etc. So I will have to start doing cards from scratch. I will be taking a couple weeks off to gather all the information and plan the rest of the year and then will start pumping out cards again. I will however probably do a bit more detailed cards.

Opening Bout Buck Zumhofe (220lbs. Minneapolis, MN) vs Johnnie Stewart (263lbs. Chicago, IL) Fast paced opening match to get the crowd started. Buck came down to the ring with his ghetto blaster playing Tutti Fruitti by Little Richard to get the hands clapping. He was immediately besieged by Stewart's fists of fury. When Zumhofe regrouped thanks to the ref Buddy Lane putting himself between the two men, he fired back with a series of kicks driving Stewart to the far buckle. A forearm uppersmash knocked Stewart across the second rope where Rock 'n Roll kicked him out of the ring. Stewart regrouped and caught Zumhofe with a punch to the gut when getting back into the ring. He turned his attention to a front chancery which he slipped into a choke off and on. Picking up the action again Stewart nailed a dropkick, followed by a backbody drop, then a hanging vertical suplex, and got a 2 count. He whipped the veteran to the ropes, and paid for telegraphing a backbody drop when Zumhofe slipped behind him and proceeded to mock him with a rodeo style move on Stewart's back. The men exchanged punches, but then Buck nailed a kick to the gut followed by a swinging neckbreaker. The Minneapolis native climbed to the top rope, but Stewart read it and headed him off at the corner. Zumhofe though still managed to roll down his back and then roll him up for a 2 count. Back on their feet Stewart tried to nail a clothesline but Zumhofe, dropped, and then kipped up and took Stewart down with a reverse Russian legsweep. He tried for a Boston crab but was kicked to the corner. Stewart charged but Zumhofe lifted himself out of the way, and when Stewart crashed into the buckle it was followed by a belly to back suplex for another 2 count. Buck went for the sleeperhold but Stewart quickly countered with a jawbreaker. He then came bouncing off the ropes and nailed a dazed Buck with his flying knee finisher to get the duke. Johnnie Stewart defeated Buck Zumhofe by pinfall after a flying knee at 6:39
Bout #2: Premiere of Chris Adams Chris Adams (228 lbs., Stratford, England) (/w Toni Adams) vs Timothy Flowers (245 lbs. Bronx, New York) Originally from England but more recently a graduate of the Texas ring wars Chris Adams came to the ring with his lovely wife Toni Adams to face RCW regular "Diamond" Timothy Flowers. Flowers started with a Greco-Roman rake of the eyes, followed by some chokes, boot stomps, and a kick to the shins. He then unleashed a forearm uppercut much to the surprise of the crowd. He choked Adams in the corner of the ring much to the consternation of lovely Toni. When Flowers began to make lewd gestures to Toni it gave Chris the opportunity he needed to strike back from the corner with forearms and kicks. He took control of the match with several rest holds which allowed Toni to accept an invitation from the announce crew to sit at the table for an interview. This provided a distraction which Flowers jumped on and again took control of the match. Adams took a powder and went to the announce table and asked Toni to go back to the corner and be his manager not his promoter; and she followed his directions. Back inside Flowers took control of Adams and worked over his lower back while keeping Adams face down on the mat. Soon enough though Adams rolled up and took the match over again. Adams almost got the win with a sleeper but Flowers got to the ropes. Then Flowers barely stayed alive by rolling away from a superkick. From the back came Flowers' usual partner in crime Dirty Dan Denton who proceeded to menace Toni. The lovely valet tried to get away and inadvertently backed into the ring, which then caused her to tumble forward right into the arms of Denton. At this point Adams turned around hearing the roar of the crowd and saw what looked like either an attack or an embrace. He began to climb through the ropes by Flowers lifted up the middle strand to crotch him, then bieled him to the center of the ring. A clothesline set up his piledriver finisher, and just to make sure Denton helped out by holding down Adams feet. Major upset albeit it with a lot of cheating. Timothy Flowers defeated Chris Adams by pinfall after a piledriver (with some outside interference) at 7:14
Bout #3 Ben Bassarab (211 lbs., Calgary Alberta) vs Steve Disalvo (290 lbs., Boston, MA) This match featured two of the top talent in RCW with one half of the tag team champions, Ben Bassarab taking on the powerful former RCW Heavyweight champion Steve Disalvo. Bassarab controlled the first minute of this match before Disalvo caught him with a kick, then a pair of clotheslines, followed by a bear hug. For the next five minutes Disalvo poured on the punishment but could not put Bassarab away. He tried for a piledriver finisher but Bassarab managed to escape by turning it into flying headscissors, and he tried for a flying clothesline to finish it off but Bassarab managed to deflect most of the blow and then wisely roll out of the ring for a break. Disalvo though went right after Bassarab and beat him from pillar to post. He rolled back into the ring twice to break the count, but the referee Buddy Lane stopped him from leaving the ring a 3rd time with the threat of a DQ. Bassarab barely managed to beat the 10 count and fell right into the predator Disalvo. A bear hug turned into a suplex for a 2 count when Bassarab got a foot on the ropes. Disalvo went for his flying clothesline again but this time Bassarab took a page out of the book of former RCW champion The Destroyer and took Disalvo down with a flying crucifix. He got a 1 count and then was rocked out of his boots when Dislavo hit him with a clothesline. He hit him so hard that Bassarab rolled out of the ring. When Disalvo started to exit the ring to go after him the ref tried to stop him. Frustrated Disalvo grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and tossed him out of the ring on top of Bassarab. This was followed by frantic waving of the arms and the ringing of the bell. Ben Bassarab defeated Steve Disalvo by disqualification for abuse of official at 9:09
Post-Match: Disalvo went to work on Bassarab ramming his head onto the announce table. Bassarab's tag partner Kid Gallahad came out to make the save waving a steel chair around.
Bout #4 Wahoo McDaniel & Charlie Norris (combined wt. of 560lbs.) vs Mason Thunder & Paul Diamond (combined wt. of 502 lbs.) (/w Kelly St. Croix) This match combined the fall out from a couple incidents last month. It started with a 4 man brawl in the middle of the ring with the combatants going toe to toe. It settled into McDaniel against Thunder and the Big Chief got the better of it, and when Thunder tagged in Diamond his partner had no more luck than did Thunder. Mason Thunder's valet Kelly St. Croix jumped on the apron and tried to distract McDaniel but to no avail. Another 4 man brawl erupted when the ref Jurgen Hermann tried to escort St. Croix off the ring apron. Again the team of McDaniel and Norris got the better of it and this time it shook out to being Norris against Diamond. After a couple minutes Diamond managed to tag out to Thunder but then delivered an undetected low blow from behind before he left. Thunder went to work with his martial arts attacks and then tagged in Diamond who nailed a couple suplexes and dropkicks. Diamond climbed to the top rope but McDaniel shook the ropes enough to distract and unbalance his foe, which bought Norris enough time to hit the corner and bodyslam Diamond from the top buckle. Norris went to work with some tomahawk chops and then whipped Diamond into the ropes for his boot to the face finisher, but Thunder entered the ring and chop blocked Norris before he could nail the move. This brought McDaniel in for another 4 man brawl. It settled out, and Norris and Diamond both tagged out. McDaniel hit a couple of chops on Thunder and followed it with a standing earringer, and then a powerbomb and got the pin. Wahoo McDaniel & Charlie Norris defeated Mason Thunder & Paul Diamond by pinfall when McDaniel pinned Thunder after a powerbomb at 9:30
Bout #5 North American Women's Title Match Desiree Petersen (champion) vs Bad Girl Bad Girl tried to take this match to the gutter but found out that champion can punch it out with anyone. Petersen also had about an inch and 20 lbs over Bad Girl. The challenger managed to gain some momentum with chokes and eye gouges, but Petersen ultimately used wrestling skill to outclass her inferior opponent. Desiree Petersen defeated Bad Girl by pinfall after a Superplex at 5:18 [Desiree Petersen retained the North American Women's Title]
Bout #6 #1 Contenders Match Destruction Crew: Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom (combined wt. 521 lbs) vs Texas Hangmen: Psycho & Killer (combined wt. 550 lbs.) Rare match between two rulebreaking teams had the referee Jurgen Hermann on edge from the start, and putting a stop to any shenanigans no matter how small with threats of disqualification. This really vexed both teams who had to turn to wrestling moves to try and get an advantage. Power versus power the Hangmen were surprised that the slightly smaller Crew could hold their own. As for wrestling skills it was no contest with the Crew much further advanced. Enos and Bloom used a series of quick tags along with moves like a go-behind into a takedown, leg holds, and a side headlock. With Killer at a disadvantage Psycho would try and interfere but would be put out by the ref and give the Crew a chance to double team. Finally the ref caught a double team and ordered a break, and delivered a stern lecture. The delay allowed Killer a chance to recover and he made it over to tag; except his version of a tag was a slap upside the head of Psycho for the failed interference. Psycho entered the ring and went right after Killer! The two stood in the middle of the ring and duked it out toe to toe. Psycho got the better of it and then whipped Killer into the buckle between the Crew who stood on the apron laughing. Killer ran straight into the corner, but pulled up just short. He and Psycho then each delivered a punch to the face of the Crew who fell from the ring. The Hangmen then followed the crew to the floor and we had a 4 man donnybrook that the ref could not control; instead he let them have at it while he waited patiently in the ring. The two teams beat each other outside the ring for a good minute with no count being applied. Finally the action went back inside. The Crew had the advantage but when they whipped the Hangmen into each other in the middle of the ring, the former RCW tag champions did a dosey-doe linking arms and then clotheslined their opponents. They threw Bloom outside the ring and double bodydropped Enos. Psycho held Enos elevated so that Killer could come off the top rope with a clothesline, but Bloom recovered and threw Killer off the top buckle. Enos punched his way free from Psycho, and then set him up for a piledriver, which Bloom helped by coming off the 2nd buckle with his hands on the bottom of Psycho's boots. Destruction Crew defeated Texas Hangmen by pinfall after a stuffed piledriver at 10:46
Bout #7 Heritage Title Match Nightstalker (/w Nick Bockwinkel) vs Kid Gallahad [Nightstalker no-shows]
It was announced that Nightstalker had no-showed the title defence tonight and would be stripped of the title. A tournament would be held next month to determine a new champion. In the meantime the Tasmanian Devil would substitute for Nightstalker tonight to face Kid Galahad.
Kid Gallahad (229 lbs., Glasgow, Scotland) vs Tasmanian Devil (240 lbs. Brooklyn, New York) It's not too often that the Devil at 5'9 looks eye to eye with an opponent but that is what happened tonight when he met with the Scottish punk Gallahad. Before the match could start though, as things were getting sorted out Steve Disalvo hit the ring and nailed Gallahad from behind. He then nailed a piledriver for final retribution for his involvement earlier in the night and left the ring to the jeers of the crowd. Absent tonight was the Devil's manager Sheik Lou Fabiano, which the announce crew suggested may be because Tasmanian was not scheduled to wrestle tonight. Anyway, the Devil was all over Gallahad never giving him a chance to recover. The tag team champion tried a spirited comeback but was just too injured and the devil attacked his neck and back. A release German suplex, followed by his Tasmanian suplex finisher. This had to be considered a bit of an upset albeit it very tainted by the interference of Disalvo. Tasmanian Devil defeated Kid Gallahad by pinfall after a Tasmanian suplex at 4:04
Bout #8 Best 2 out of 3 Falls Paul Orndorff (252 lbs., Brandon, Florida) vs Don Muraco (270 lbs., Sunset Beach, Hawaii) The match started off with a posing contest, which the crowd made sure Orndorff "won". Muraco of course tried to attack him from behind but Orndorff cut him off at the pass and rammed his head into the buckle. He hip tossed him out of the corner and Muraco took a powder. The Hawaiian then wasted time outside and by the time the two men hooked up again inside the ring we were already 4 minutes into the bout. Muraco used a rake to the eyes to take control and worked over the left leg of Orndorff, including some time on the mat. He picked it up a notch by going outside the ring and ramming it up and down on the ring apron. He wrapped it around the ring post but Orndorff finally fought back with a kick to the head using his right leg. Back inside Orndorff tried his best to fight back but each time he got an advantage Muraco would kick his left leg out from under him. Finally Orndorff turned it into a ground fight with a front face lock, then an STF. However, he made the mistake of going for his piledriver finisher but again his leg would not hold the weight and the two crashed to the mat. Murano nailed a pair of running clotheslines, followed by a vertical suplex, kick to the gut, shortarm clothesline, and then his inverted piledriver to get the first fall. Don Muraco wins the first fall by pinfall after an inverted piledriver at 9:32 The second fall became a knock out brawl with both men standing toe to toe inside and outside the ring. At one point Muraco uncovered the top turnbuckle and managed to smash Ornorff back first into it but a few seconds later had the same thing done to him. The ref asked for a ring maintenance man to come out and he worked at getting the buckle covered from the apron but twice got knocked off by the wrestlers before giving up. The match spilled outside and the two took turns smashing each other's heads off the steel barriers. They then fought into the crowd as the ref counted them out. Paul Orndorff & Don Muraco battled to a double contout at 13:10 With the two wrestlers fighting into the crowd the referee Jurgen Hermann tried to get them to come back while the ring crew covered the post. Commissioner Jumpin' Jimmy Brunzell came down and grabbed a mic. He told both wrestlers that if they did not return to the ring and give the fans the 3rd fall they paid for they would both be suspended and forfeit their pay for the night. This got their attention and the two men returned to the ring for a 3rd fall, while Jim Brunzell took up a position sitting at the ringside table. The ref let them simmer for a few seconds while he read them the riot act, and then called for the bell to start the 3rd fall. Muraco went for a boot to the gut but Orndorff caught his foot, spun him around and clotheslined him down to the mat. He worked a side headlock, then the two did some criss crosses off the ropes, and then Orndorff caught Muraco telegraphing a back body drop with a kick to the head. The two former WWF superstars traded the advantage back snd forth a couple times, before Orndorff nailed Muraco with a big boot to the face, and then his piledriver finisher. Paul Orndorff won the third fall by pinfall after a piledriver at 18:43 There was some confusion following this as Orndorff thought he had won the match, but the referee Jurgen Hermann raised both men's hands. Brunzell got back on the mic and announced that officially the match was a draw at 1 fall each with 1 fall a double contout. They drew a chorus of jeers from the crowd. Orndorff indicated to Muraco that he wanted to lock up again but Muraco shook him off. Brunzell entered the ring with the mic and said that if the wrestlers would agree to settle this with an unprecedented 4th fall, he would make the winner the #1 contender for the Heavyweight title. At this both men agreed. This fall turned into another slugfest but it stayed in the ring. Both men exchanged powerful clotheslines. Muraco took Orndorff down to mat with a double leg, then slingshot him into the corner, rolled him up on the rebound, grabbed a handful of trunks and got the 1, 2, Kickout! Back on their feet, Orndorff ducked under a clothesline and then took Muraco down with a belly to back suplex. He tried for a piledriver but Muraco managed to squirm his way out of it. Muraco went back after the leg of Orndorff and took control of the match for a minute, but the Brandon Bull would not be denied. He fought back with a flurry of punches, kicks, forearm upper smash, bodyslam, elbow drop, and then nailed a flying clothesline off the top rope to get the duke. Paul Orndorff won the 4th fall by pinfall after a flying clothesline from the top rope at 23:55 Paul Orndorff defeated Don Muraco 2-1-1 in falls
Hall of Fame Induction Jim Brunzell, Matt Brock, and Stan Mullen are on hand to lead the induction ceremony for Mike Valiant. Valiant began with his first appearance as one of the originals in RCW #1 as a rulebreaker but would later turn fan favorite. He lost in the first tournament final to the Destroyer for the RCW Title, and would never win that title. However, besides being a regular top contender and main eventer he also held the tag titles with Chris Lyon. Also introduced to congratulate him are River City Wrestling hall of famers, Chris Lyon, Marty Goldstein, and Tawney England. The induction ceremony goes off without a hitch, without confrontation, and without any violence.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Lethal Larry Cameron (Champion) (280 lbs., Chicago, Il) vs Jerry Lynn (215 lbs., Minneapolis, Minnesota) Lynn used a buzzsaw style attack to keep Cameron reeling, then took it to the mat to negate some of the size difference. Eventually though Cameron was able to exert his power difference by pulling Lynn up while still in a side headlock, and dropping him backward with a sick looking suplex. Cameron pushed the advantage but not with power, instead with simple cheating moves like a boot choke, and a front face lock which he kept slipping into a choke. Lynn reversed things and took Cameron to the corner, put on a sleeper hold and then held on while Cameron tried to smash his way out of it by knocking Lynn repeatedly into the buckle. Finally Lynn climbed to the top and took the champ down with a neck snap. Lynn then nailed a pair of dropkicks to the legs of Cameron then nailed a Rocker dropper, and got a 2 count. Lynn went for a cross armbar but Cameron managed to avoid it with a punch to the face of the challenger. He then lifted Lynn off his feet with a double arm choke before slamming him to the mat. Cameron nailed a running leg drop, bodyslam, knee drop to the head. Lynn fought back but Cameron managed to reverse the challenger's momentum with a hotshot, and then followed up with a jumping clothesline and then his powerslam finisher for the win. 16-Man Tournament for the Vacant Heritage Title
Round 1 Chris Adams (/w Toni Adams) vs Timothy Flowers Rematch of last month's upset. Dan Denton came down to ringside again, but this time Wahoo McDaniel came down to force Denton to the back. With the odds evened up, Adams exerted his superior skill and got a fairly routine victory. Chris Adams defeated Timothy Flowers by pinfall after a super kick at 5:01
Wahoo McDaniel vs Dan Denton Animosity was already running high in this one from the earlier confrontation. Denton played a bit of hide and seek but other than that was totally outclassed by the veteran. Wahoo McDaniel defeated Dan Denton by pinfall after a Tomahawk Chop at 6:33
Charlie Norris vs The Natural For the first round the big Native Chief drew a newcomer to RCW, the cocky Natural. Natural controlled most of the match but could not put away the Chief and when Norris took control he used his extra 40 pounds to punish his irritating opponent. Charlie Norris defeated The Natural by pinfall after a Tomahawk Chop at 6:47
Tasmanian Devil vs Kid Galahad The Devil defeated Gallahad last month after he stepped into the match when Nightstalker no-showed his title defence. This was the best match of the night so far as both men exchanged high impact move after high impact move. Once again the Tasmanian had no Sheik Lou Fabiano in his corner. Not sure how much he has left to give later tonight after a hard fought win here. Tasmanian Devil defeated Kid Gallahad by pinfall after a Tasmanian Suplex at 8:29
Buck Zumhofe vs Jerry Lynn A battle of two fan favourites that got very heated indeed. In the end Lynn was just too young and had too much stamina, and as he picked up the pace of the match Zumhofe could not keep up. Lynn defeated Zumhofe by submission to a crossface at 6:12
Johnnie Stewart vs. Chi Chi Cruz Cruz tried for a hit and run attack, but Stewart used his extra size to punish and ground the recently returned local boy. Johnnie Stewart defeated Chi Chi Cruz by pinfall after a spinning sidekick at 4:45
Ben Bassarab vs Paul Diamond Bassarab came into this tournament as the odds on favourite. Not only is he one half of the tag team champions with Kid Gallahad but he is also a 4 time Television champion (the predecessor title to this one) with two of those wins coming in one night events (one tournament and one battle royale). Diamond was a game competitor but in the end he was outmatched and took the coward's way out by smashing a steel chair over the head of Bassarab. Although Bassarab won he was busted open and woozy looking after the match. Ben Bassarab defeated Paul Diamond by disqualification for the use of a steel chair at 4:57
Mason Thunder vs EZ Ryder Thunder looked a bit concerned when his opponent, newcomer EZ Ryder came to the ring looking like one tough biker. However, Thunder proved to be the better wrestler and athlete and eventually used his martial arts training to take over and finish the match. Mason Thunder defeated EZ Ryder by pinfall after a Savate kick at 7:39
Quarter-Finals
Chris Adams (/w Toni Adams) vs Wahoo McDaniel Didn't take long for this match between two fan favourites to heat up. Wahoo was the fans' choice though due to their long familiarity with him. In the end Wahoo used his size difference to nail a powerslam, then dropped a pair of vicious looking knee drops. That only got a 2 count, but the follow up Tomahawk chop did the trick. Wahoo McDaniel defeated Chris Adams by pinfall after a Tomahawk Chop at 8:01
Charlie Norris vs Tasmanian Devil Devil controlled early, Norris though took over and controlled 80% of this match. However, the Tasmanian Devil used a well timed chop to the throat, followed by a chokeslam, and then his finisher with his feet on the ropes for extra leverage to move onto the next round. Tasmanian Devil defeated Charlie Norris by pinfall after a Tasmanian Suplex (and with his feet on the ropes) at 7:25
Jerry Lynn vs Johnnie Stewart Lynn controlled most of this match, until Stewart caught him with a spinning heel kick. Stewart then came off the 2nd rope with a kick to the solar plexus. Lynn seemed to have problems catching his breath after that, and when Stewart nailed him with another spin kick, driving him out of the ring, Lynn could not beat the count back in. Johnnie Stewart defeated Jerry Lynn by contout at 6:44
Ben Bassarab vs Mason Thunder (/w Kelly St. Croix) The Bassarab tournament train kept rolling. Thunder wanted to try and slow the match down, and he used his sexy valet as a distraction. But once the tag team champion picked up the pace he also picked apart his opponent. Ben Bassarab defeated Mason Thunder by pinfall after a release German suplex at 9:19
Semi-Finals
Wahoo McDaniel vs Tasmanian Devil This one went back and forth and could have gone either way. The Devil seemed to pick up momentum as the match went on though as his youth gave him better stamina. During a ref bump at the end the Devil used a chair to ~waffle~ McDaniel. This brought out Charlie Norris who nailed the Tasmanian Devil with a running clothesline from behind and then gave him a DDT on the chair. Norris woke up the ref Buddy Lane who shook off the cobwebs and started to apply the 10 count to both men being down. McDaniel was first on his feet, tried to kick the Devil in the gut, but his foot was caught, spun around and the Devil clotheslined McDaniel. But Wahoo did not go down, and when The Tasmanian came in for another helping he instead was fed an elbow to the head. McDaniel then nailed a powerslam, then a Tomahawk chop and got the win. Wahoo McDaniel defeated the Tasmanian Devil by pinfall after a Tomahawk chop at 8:48
Johnnie Stewart vs Ben Bassarab The match started fast and furious, both men nailing kicks, punches, suplexes, and criss crossing off the ropes. The match spilled in and out of the ring a couple of times as well. Then the match came to a grind as Bassarab worked a shoulderbar, then an arm scissors. Stewart turned things around but also went to the mat and worked a headscissors, then tried for a standing sleeperhold. Bassarab fired back and took control of the match, nailing a German suplex, snap suplex, and then put on a single leg Boston crab three times to no avail. Stewart threw Bassarab out of the ring and took control of the match catching Bassarab with an elbow on his way in. Stewart nailed a series of martial arts kicks, and punches, a standing nerve hold, and then a standing sleeper hold, but could not put Bassarab away. The two men then exchanged the advantage a few more times as the match minutes dragged on and both men became very tired. Just after the 15 minute mark Bassarab got a second wind, using the ropes to aid a double kick to the chest, then nailed a running clothesline, a neck snapper, a cradle piledriver, for only a 2 count. Bassarab climbed to the top rope and came off for a missile dropkick but Stewart moved out of the way. Bassarab got to his feet but ate a superkick to the jaw, Stewart grabbed a handful of tights just to be sure that ended Bassarab's quest for the title. Johnnie Stewart defeated Ben Bassarab by pinfall after a Superkick (and a handful of tights) at 16:36
Special Attraction Steve Disalvo vs Paul Orndorff Two of the top heavyweights in RCW locked up as the combatants for the tournament final got a well deserved break. Disalvo played enough stalling tactics that he would have made Larry Zbyszko proud. At one point the referee Jurgen Hermann actually had to leave the ring and break up a war of words between Disalvo and a pair of fans at ringside. Disalvo then threatened to quit unless the fans were ejected. Hermann is not the kind of guy you want to handle this type of situation so it turned into a five minute gong show, all while the clock was ticking in this 30 minute time limit affair. Finally Orndorff had enough and went out of the ring and attacked Disalvo. The donnybrook went all the way around the ring and then finally at about the 8 minute mark the wrestlers locked up inside the ring for the first time. Fisticuffs then evolved into the trading off of power moves. Orndorff nailed an impressive powerslam on the big man but could only get a 2 count. Disalvo battled back and after a pair of running clotheslines he nailed a knee drop from the first buckle and got a 1 count; then a knee drop from the second buckle and got a 2 count. Uncharacteristically he then climbed to the top buckle and dropped a knee for..nothing but air, as Orndorff rolled out of the way. Orndorff was up first at the count of 5 from the ref, but Disalvo nailed him with a punch to the gut. More fisticuffs followed. Orndorff nailed his piledriver but remarkably Disalvo got a foot over the bottom rope! He tried for a second piledriver but Disalvo turned it into a backdrop. Disalvo nailed his own piledriver but Orndorff kicked out to beat the count. Orndorff sent Disalvo to the ropes and nailed a big boot to the face, followed by a pair of elbow drops, another elbow from the second rope, an enzuigiri which only caught Disalvo on the shoulder, and then 3 running clotheslines (because the first 2 Disalvo stayed on his feet). Orndorff then came running off the ropes and nailed a running splash and got the duke. Paul Orndorff defeated Steve Disalvo by pinfall after a running splash at 16:58
Main Event Tournament Final For RCW Heritage Title Wahoo McDaniel vs Johnnie Stewart The long break from the previous match gave Stewart a much needed break. He started strong and it became apparent that he was in much better shape then McDaniel and younger giving him the advantage. He attacked with a lot of kicks and punches and then got McDaniel down and wore him down on the mat. Finally though the big man got his second wind and began to show the power and experience he is best known for; and Stewart looked gassed. After a running powerslam only got him a 2 count on Stewart the tables were turned again when he nailed McDaniel with a low blow. Stewart hit some set up moves, adjusted his knee pad and went for his flying knee finisher, but McDaniel ducked at the last second. Stewart got up, and McDaniel nailed him with a big chop to the head to get the win and the title. Wahoo McDaniel defeated Johnnie Stewart by pinfall after a Tomahawk Chop at 8:24 [Wahoo McDaniel won the vacant RCW Heritage Title]

May 7, 1991
River City Wrestling #470 Calgary, Alberta Opening Bout: Big Daddy (420 lbs., Tuscaloosa, Alabama) vs Bill Jodoin (260 lbs, High River, Alberta) The newcomer Big Daddy is not Shirley Crabtree the famous British wrestler but a young man from down south in the United States. Big Daddy was all over the more experienced but much smaller Jodoin. A couple of earringers, splashes, and elbows in the corner. Jodoin though was game and fought right back, punching Big Daddy one foot at a time all the way across the ring. However, he went for a monkey flip, and instead Big Daddy dropped down and splashed Jodoin to get the pin. Big Daddy pinned Bill Jodoin by pinfall after a splash at 3:46
Bout #2 Tiffany Brannigan (Santa Barbara, California) vs Kelly St. Croix (Bordeaux, France) St. Croix used some illegal tactics like chokes and nail rakes, but also pulled out a couple savate and back heel kicks, perhaps taught by her charge Mason Thunder. It wasn't enough though when Brannigan picked up the pace and took St. Croix apart one piece at a time. Tiffany Brannigan defeated Kelly St. Croix by pinfall after a flying forearm at 5:05
Bout #3 EZ Ryder (238 lbs., St. Boniface, Manitoba) vs The Natural (221 lbs, The Bridal Path, Toronto, Canada) Opposites in this one, but both youngsters. EZ Ryder every much the biker, while the Natural comes from one of Toronto's richest suburbs. Although slimmer, The Natural had about a 3 inch height difference on his opponent, and used the extra leverage to work a standing headlock. However when he thought he could do the same with a test of strength he lost, and then suffered a series of armbars and armbreakers by Ryder. Ryder worked a sitting armbar, and then nailed it coming off the top rope. Natural though kipped up from the mat and hit Ryder with a clothesline using his other arm. A dropkick, and a superkick for Natural, but then he had to take time off to preen and rant at the crowd. Ryder recovered and the two men traded punches and kicks which Ryder won. He nailed a pair of bodyslams, a back body drop, and then with the back softened up put on a Boston crab. He would have got the submission but as Natural's arms flailed for the ropes he somehow managed to knock the leg of long time inept official Jurgen Hermann who then fell into Ryder and it broke the hold. It was no accident but Hermann could not be sure so the match continued. Ryder telegraphed a backbody drop, and Natural nailed a sliding punch to the jaw. He followed this up with a hair pulling - jumping bulldog, then climbed to the top rope and hit Ryder with a top rope knee drop to pick up the win. The Natural defeated EZ Ryder by pinfall after a top rope knee drop at 9:17
Bout #4 British Bruisers: Dynamite Kid & Johnny Smith (combined wt. 472 lbs) vs Don McCullough & Shane Croft (combined wt. 560 lbs) Mccullogh out of Calgary and Croft out of Winnipeg may have been big local prairie boys but the fans were solidly behind the return of the British Bruisers from their stint in Japan. The underdogs actually managed to gain control over Smith for a few minutes and cut off the ring using their size to grind him down on the mat. But once Smith was able to make the hot tag out to Dynamite the match was won. The Brits took turns delivering one punishing impact move after another, including a double suplex where they both came off the second rope after perching McCullogh on the top buckle. British Bruisers defeated McCullogh & Croft by pinfall when Dynamite Kid pinned McCullogh after a double suplex at 7:40
Bout #5 Jerry Lynn (215 lbs., Minneapolis, MN) vs Mason Thunder (269 lbs., Malibu, CA) (/w Kelly St. Croix) Lynn was the better wrestler, and this match featured some chain wrestling with Lynn getting the better every time. Thunder bailed from the ring to get reorganized. St. Croix tried to distract Lynn but to no avail, and Thunder walked right into a hip toss followed by a pair of snap suplexes. Finally Thunder managed to use the ref, Jurgen Hermann of course, as a shield and then snuck in a lowblow to gain the advantage. He worked in a circle around Lynn with a series of kicks designed to weaken the legs, followed by a double leg underhook and then a series of spinning toeholds. Thunder climbed to the top rope and attempted to come off with a knee drop, but Lynn rolled out of the way, but rolled far enough that St. Croix could get her hooks into him. She pulled him from the ring and then began to stomp away at him while Thunder climbed to the top rope and Hermann tried to count him down off the top. Finally Thunder relented and climbed down to the apron. Lynn was trying to get back into the ring so Thunder ran along the apron and delivered a nasty kick to Lynn's head. He rolled Lynn back into the ring and climbed to the top rope again and came off with a spinning leg lariat which took care of Lynn's chances. Mason Thunder defeated Jerry Lynn by pinfall after a top rope spinning leg lariat at 8:51
Bout #6 Chris Adams (228 lbs., Stratford, England) vs Steve Disalvo (290 lbs., Boston, MA) The announce crew let it be known that Toni Adams would not be accompanying her husband tonight in his match because her own match for the North American Women's Title was coming up next. Adams tried to make this a scientific encounter time after time, but for every 3 moves that Adams did, Disalvo would just counter with 1 power move and come out ahead. Adams tried to brawl with Disalvo but that just made it worse. Outside the ring Disalvo slammed Adams' head off the steel barrier and busted him wide open. Back inside a gam Adams nailed a few punches and a dropkick, but Disalvo roared back with a powerful clothesline, followed by a hanging vertical suplex, and then a piledriver finisher. Steve Disalvo defeated Chris Adams by pinfall after a piledriver at 6:49
Post-Match: After the bout Disalvo nailed another piledriver before leaving the ring to threat of disqualification. As Adams lay face up in the ring, an unknown pretty blonde woman entered from the back with a visitors badge around her neck. She attended to Adams who looked shocked to see her, but accepted her help as he leaned on him all the way to the backstage area.
Bout #7
North American Women's Title Match Desiree Petersen vs Toni Adams
Adams looked very distracted during this match, no doubt by what had just occurred. With two fan favorites in the ring though the match stayed clean but Petersen held a clear advantage and was wearing her opponent down. Adams made a small comeback with some kicks and a pair of dropkicks. Then the blonde women from the earlier match came down to the ring, jumped on the apron and started to berate Toni Adams about leaving her husband to get a beating. Referee Jurgen Hermann tried to get the blonde woman to leave (by applying a count?), but while he was distracted K.C. Houston slid into the ring and nailed Desiree Petersen in the back of the head with a steel chair. She then set up the chair in the corner and whipped Petersen shoulder first into it. Hermann turned around and saw what was happening and called for the bell. Houston nailed a spinebuster slam on the champ right on the chair. Adams came over to try and help Houston but the blonde woman entered the ring, grabbed Toni by the hair and pulled her down to the mat. She and Houston then laid the boots to Toni Adams, kicking her out of the ring. Houston and the blonde though did not appear to be together as they didn't really acknowledge each other, eyed each other carefully, and then left the ring separately. Desiree Petersen and Toni Adams battled to a no-contest at 3:56 [Desiree Petersen retained the North American Women's Title]
Bout #8
RCW Tag Team Title Match Ben Bassarab & Kid Gallahad (combined wt. 440lbs) vs Destruction Crew: Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom (combined wt. 521 lbs.) The champs controlled early using their speed, skill, double teams on the tags, and cutting the ring in half. It also helped that they had head referee Buddy Lane in charge who was able to keep the challengers from running roughshod over the rules. Soon enough though Wayne "The Train" Bloom exerted his size difference over Bassarab including a couple nasty looking running shoulder blocks. Bloom managed to lock Bassarab into a Boston crab but couldn't get the submission. When Gallahad tried to make the save Lane put him out, but this allowed Enos a chance to double team. Gallahad had no choice but to wait, hold onto the tag rope, and stomp his foot trying to cheer on his partner. Bassarab once again showed his tenaciousness fighting back against the bigger man. Bloom standing pounded down bombs on the head of Bassarab, who from his knees fought back with shots to the gut. Just when it looked like Bassarab would be able to get to his feet Bloom struck with a knee to the head. But the impact was so forceful that it knocked Bassarab over into a back flop, and allowed Gallahad to reach in and make the tag off of his partner's back. With the hot tag Gallahad came in a house of fire, and when Enos came into the ring Gallahad took care of him too. Enos tried to come in a second time, but this time he was cut off at the pass by Buddy Lane who escorted him out of the ring. In the meantime Gallahad was trying to get Bloom up for a suplex but Bloom was using his foot to block it. Bassarab entered the ring and helped Gallahad take Bloom over with a double suplex. Now Lane escorted Bassarab out of the ring with a harsh warning. This allowed Enos to enter the ring, again, this time with a steel chair and he ~waffled~ Gallahad over the head. He might have got away with it, but as Gallahad teetered on his feet Enos decided to deliver a second chair shot. This one though was seen by Lane who called for the bell. Ben Bassarab & Kid Gallahad defeated The Destruction Crew by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 11:09 [Ben Bassarab & Kid Gallahad retained the RCW Tag Team Titles]
Bout #9 RCW Heritage Title Match Wahoo McDaniel (280 lbs., Midland, TX) vs Johnnie Stewart (243 lbs., Chicago, IL) A rematch of the tournament final. Stewart tried to jump Wahoo before it started but the big Native star was too experienced for that and took it to the challenger. Stewart then took a breather outside the ring before playing cat and house inside. When referee Hermann was holding Wahoo back it gave the challenger the opening he needed to sneak in a punch to the head. Stewart worked Wahoo over on the ground, including repeatedly sneaking a choke in from a front face lock. Then he used the ropes for extra leverage while bearing down on the same hold. From the back came Charlie Norris to throw Stewart's feet off the bottom strand. He received a stern warning from the ref who banished him to the back. Of course while this was going on Stewart was blatantly choking Wahoo, and when he released it the champ was spitting and sputtering trying to get his breath back. Stewart nailed a back suplex, a running leg drop, fist drop, and got a 2 count. Stewart then went for a series of Karate like kicks which worked, until Wahoo caught a leg and backed Stewart into the corner. Wahoo wound up for a punch but Hermann quickly backed him away. While that was going on Stewart took something out of his trunks and put it into his knee pad. The fans screamed about it to no avail. Stewart swung at Wahoo who blocked, and then chopped his smaller opponent. The champ was a ball of fire now, going to town on the cocky challenger. When the match spilled outside Wahoo went right after him. Rolling him back into the ring Wahoo hit a powerslam, a couple headbutts, and a butterfly suplex for a 2 count. He tried for the submission with a single leg Boston crab but Stewart got to the ropes. Wahoo prepared for his Tomahawk chop finisher, but the challenger stopped him with a rake to the eyes. Stewart attacked now with kicks and a flying body press. He then set him up and nailed him with that loaded knee. Wahoo was completely knocked out. Stewart covered and got the 1, 2, ....Charlie Norris returned to the ring and pulled Stewart off. Norris tried to explain to the ref, but Stewart just exited stage left, leaving with the win but not the title. Johnnie Stewart defeated Wahoo McDaniel for outside interference (Charlie Norris) at 10:33 [Wahoo McDaniel retained the RCW Heritage Title]
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Lethal Larry Cameron (280 lbs., Chicago, IL) vs Paul Orndorff (252 lbs., Brandon, Florida)
The match began with a couple tests of strength, first won by Cameron, then won by Orndorff. A third test had the expected result with Cameron going to a kick to the gut, then a short clothesline. Cameron nailed a couple more punches before locking in a full nelson. He worked the hold, and worked Orndorff down to his knees. Unable to get a submission he pulled Orndorff up and delivered a full nelson slam. A serious of vicious kicks followed until referee Buddy Lane forced him back. Cameron sent Orndorff to the buckle, and followed in with an elbow. He went for the same thing again but this time Orndorff moved out of the way, and then delivered a series of shoulder blocks in the corner. In a show of strength Orndorff followed up with a spinning spine buster slam out of the corner, but only got a 1 count. Orndorff continued to punish the champ for a couple minutes, getting more 1 counts. Frustrated he made a mistake going to the top rope and when he came off for a double axhandle he got a punch to the gut instead. Cameron nailed Orndorff with a kick to the back of the head driving Orndorff to the mat. A standing surfboard followed, and then a pair of backbreakers. It was Cameron's turn to lay in the punishment but not be able to get a 3 count. Then as expected the match spilled to outside the ring where the two men exchanged kicks, punches, and then chair shots. Referee Buddy Lane called for the bell and Orndorff made the mistake of letting up, only to have Cameron lay another chair shot into Orndorff's knee. Larry Cameron and Paul Orndorff battled to a double disqualification at 12:38 [Larry Cameron retained the RCW Heavyweight Title]

May 25, 1991 River City Wrestling #471 Winnipeg, Manitoba
Opening Bout Mason Thunder (269 lbs., Malibu, CA) (/w Kelly St. Croix) vs Red Bastien Jr (220 lbs., Winnipeg, Manitoba) Bastien was quick and very well versed on the basic wrestling grapple holds, the son of the famous Red Bastien, but was overmatched in this one by the power and technique of Thunder. Mason Thunder defeated Red Bastien by pinfall after a top rope spinning leg lariat at 5:56
Bout #2 Charlie Norris (280 lbs., Red Lake, Minnesota) vs Mr. Pogo (274 lbs., Isesaki, Gunma, Japan) Many fans out west would not remember Mr. Pogo from his earlier stints in Canada as Judo Lee, but they would not soon be forgetting him. In what could only be called mayhem after being on the receiving end of about 5 minutes of damage from Norris, Pogo began an outright massacre. He used the ring ropes, his teeth, a hidden foreign object, the tag rope, the steel post (busted Norris wide open), and then outside the ring he used the announce table, and finally a steel chair (3 times). But this is not allowed in RCW and Buddy Lane called for the bell. Charlie Norris defeated Mr. Pogo by disqualification at 9:08
Post-Match: Pogo continued the assault, and Heritage champion Wahoo McDaniel finally came down to make the save. But Pogo does not give up easy and he managed to get a few shots in, including busting McDaniel open with the steel chair. This could cost McDaniel in his title defence later tonight against Johnnie Stewart.
Bout #3 Chris Adams (228 lbs., Stratford, England) (/w Toni Adams) vs The Natural (221 lbs., The Bridal Path, Toronto, Canada) The Natural is a talented up and comer so he had his moments but Adams' experience was making the difference. Natural seemed to almost have Adams done with a long applied Boston crab but when Toni banged her hands on the apron it seemed to rouse Adams. Natural got mad and went out of the ring to confront Toni and tell her to mind her own business. This proved costly though as Adams launched himself off the ring apron with a flying axhandle to the back of the Natural. Back inside Adams went to work on the Natural with forearm uppercuts, spinning head scissors, a backbreaker, and then a sleeperhold. While the hold was on and the Natural was being checked, the mysterious blonde woman came out and started to yell at Toni. The two women got into a hair pulling, nail scratching, cat fight. Adams left the ring to break it up and got so tangled up that he was counted out. The Natural defeated Chris Adams by countout at 7:59
Post-Match: As Adams wrestled around with the two women, a mic was put in front of them and Adams let everyone know that the mysterious blonde woman is Jeannie Adams, Chris' ex-wife. Chris tells Jeannie to leave him and Toni alone. Jeannie yells back at Toni as they leave that Chris is an abuser and that she needs to get away from him. Chris tries to turn back but Toni just grabs his arm and convinces her to leave it alone.
Bout #4 Buck Zumhofe (220 lbs., Minneapolis, MN) vs Big Daddy (420 lbs., Tuscaloosa, Alabama) Big Daddy started strong using his weight advantage. But Zumhofe turned it around using a series of dropkicks to the legs, then a knee lift to knock him on his back. Zumhofe now worked a series of ground moves, and nailed a flying legdrop but only got a 2 count. Zumhofe made the mistake of coming off the ropes with momentum but got the worse of the collision. Big Daddy nailed a splash, and just like that the match was over. Big Daddy defeated Buck Zumhofe by pinfall after a splash at 5:10
Bout #5 EZ Ryder & Chi Chi Cruz (combined wt. 473 lbs) vs Untouchables (Ice & Buster) (540 lbs) Premiere of the Untouchables, yet another Road Warriors rip-off team. They were all power, and while Ryder held his own for a couple minutes, once they had Cruz isolated they made mince meat out of him. They finished him off with a double team combination of a Russian legsweep and a neckbreaker. Untouchables defeated EZ Ryder & Chi Chi Cruz after a Sweeping Neckbreaker at 4:03
Bout #6 Toni Adams (Corpus Christi, Texas) vs K.C. Houston (Edmonton, Alberta) Chris Adams could be seen hanging around at the back of the crowd, undoubteldy keeping an eye out for his ex-wife Jeannie. K.C. seemed like the better wrestler, especially when you add in her dirty tactics, but the added distraction that was obviously on Toni's mind as well also helped. As soon as the match was over Chris hit the ring and helped Toni to the back. K.C. Houston defeated Toni Adams by pinfall after a reverse DDT at 5:57
Bout #7 British Bruisers: Dynamite Kid & Johnny Smith (combined wt. 472 lbs) vs Timothy Flowers & Dan Denton (combined wt. 499 1/2 lbs.) Flowers and Denton seemed more determined in playing up to the crowd and complaining to the ref then actually wrestling. They at one point threatened to leave and were serenaded by the Winnipeg crowd with "Na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na, hey-hey-hey, goodbye". The British Bruisers maintained their cool, like a couple of machines. When the match really got going the bad guys were overmatched and had to rely on double teams to get any offense going. Smith punished Flowers with a powerslam, and then had the Kid nail a headbutt from the top rope and that was all she wrote. British Bruisers defeated Timothy Flowers & Dan Denton by pinfall when Dynamite Kid pinned Flowers after a flying headbutt at 6:40 Bout #8 RCW Heritage Title Match Wahoo McDaniel (champion) (280 lbs., Midland Texas) vs Johnnie Stewart (243 lbs., Chicago, Il) Wahoo controlled early and often throughout this match, and he just seemed much more determined then he had in the past. Stewart would cheat to mount comebacks only to have Wahoo shake him off and fire back in kind. At one point Johnnie Stewart thought he had the match won but he wasted time playing (loading?) that knee pad of his, and when he turned around Wahoo nailed him with a running shoulder block. McDaniel nailed Stewart with a powerslam and got the decisive win. Wahoo McDaniel defeated Johnnie Stewart by pinfall after a powerslam at 7:57 [Wahoo McDaniel retained the RCW Heritage Title]
Post-Match: Stewart loaded up his kneepad and caught McDaniel celebrating with a knee to the back. He went to work on the native star until Charlie Norris came to his resume. Or so we thought, until Norris joined a stunned Stewart in laying the boots to McDaniel. Buck Zumhofe, EZ Ryder, and Chi Chi Cruz came to the rescue.
Charlie Norris grabbed a mic at ringside and said that McDaniel betrayed him, one of his own people. He was giving everyone else a title shot, except for his own friend. Norris says that if he hadn't been cheated by the Tasmanian Devil in the Quarter-Finals of the tournament when the pin was aided by his feet on the ropes, then he would have faced Wahoo in the semi-finals and won the tournament. He says that if McDaniel won't give him his due, he will just have to take it from now on.
Bout #9 RCW Tag Team Title Match Kid Gallahad & Ben Bassrab (champions) (combined wt. 440 lbs.) vs Destruction Crew: Wayne Bloom & Mike Enos (combined wt. 521 lbs.) Destruction Crew started early with the double teams and cheating, thanks to drawing inept Jurgen Hermann as the referee. Gallahad and Bassarab would eventually turn the tables but Gallahad seemed to be favoring his left leg an awful lot, and it didn't portend well for the rest of the bout. The champs went to work on the challengers, gaining an advantage on the slower Bloom. They cut the ring in half, made frequent tags, and used the middle turnbuckle as a launching pad; or at least Bassarab did, with Gallahad pretty much grounded. Finally Bloom was able to take Gallahad's bad leg from under him and make the tag to Enos, but Bassarab also tagged in. Enos got the advantage and tried to work a side headlock to give his partner time to recover. Bassarab sent him to the ropes, but took the worst of the resulting collision. Enos nailed a series of five kneedrops to the head but only got a 2 count. He then went for 5 more, but finally on the 5th one Bassarab rolled out of the way. Gallahad tagged in and went to work on Enos with a pair of elbowsmashes, followed by a DDT. He tried going to the top rope, but his leg was bothering him, so he climbed back down to the second buckle, taking too long...Enos came up behind him and went for a belly to back suplex. But Bassarab grabbed onto Gallahad's feet. Enos kept leaning back, Bassarab wouldn't let go, and finally all 3 went crashing to the mat together (with Bassarab holding onto Gallahad and going over the top rope himself). All 3 were stunned and Hermann didn't know whether to count to 5 (for Bassarab) or 10 (for the legal men). His dilemma was solved when Wayne Bloom entered the ring and delivered a front layout suplex to Bassarab and then a kneebreaker to Gallahad. Enos recoverd and nailed another kneebreaker and then put Gallahad into the figure-four. He held on for over a minute. At one point Bassarab tried to interfere but Hermann cut him off at the pass. Finally unable to concentrate on the pain anymore Gallahad didn't lift his shoulder when Hermann hit the mat the required three times. New Champions!! Destruction Crew defeated Gallahad & Bassarab by pinfall when Enos pinned Gallahad while applying the figure-four leglock at 11:29 [Destruction Crew: Wayne Bloom & Mike Enos win the RCW Tag Team Titles]
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Larry Cameron (Champion) (280 lbs, Chicago, IL) vs Steve Disalvo (290 lbs., Boston, MA) Two villains, but with the injury to Paul Orndorff and the wins over Jerry Lynn not many quality good guys left to face Cameron. Every once in a while though its fun to watch two guys you don't like punch each other in the face. This match started with a surprising and weird hand shake, then a pose down, both men taking turns insulting the crowd, and then a test of strength. Disalvo won the test of strength. They repeated it and the challenger won again. He made the mistake of posing for the crowd though and the love-in ended with Cameron showing off his CFL football roots by clipping Disalvo at the knee from behind. Head referee Buddy Lane had no flag to throw though for the infraction and the match continued. Cameron went to work on the leg of Disalvo, maybe deciding to ground the bigger and stronger man. After some leg twists, and kneedrops to the quads, he applied a spinning toe hold. Then remembering that he was a cheat he left the ring and pulled Disalvo over and punished his leg across the ring apron and then a couple times against the ring post. Cameron climbed to the top rope though and tried to drop a knee to Disalvo but he rolled out of the way. The challenger went for a quick roll up and got 1, grabbed a handful of tights, 2, and referee Buddy Lane noticed the handful and called for the break. Larry Cameron should make a mental note to add Lane to his Christmas card list because if he had Hermann as a ref the title would be on the Bostonian right now. Both men scrambled to their feet and the fisticuffs began. Disalvo backed Cameron across the ring with a series of jabs, but the champ came off the ropes with a forearm to the face of Disalvo, and then followed up with a series of jabs of his own which backed Disalvo across the ring. The challenger ducked through the ropes and ordered Lane to make a clean break. The ref wasn't quick enough though and Cameron managed to kick Disalvo in the sore right leg, and he fell from the ring. Disalvo had plenty of time to recover as Lane admonished the champ, began the 10 count, had to back Cameron away, restarted the 10 count. During this time Disalvo managed to jaw with the fans, and grab something from under the ring and hide it in his trunks. You ever wonder how that cold steel must feel when someone does that? Yikes! Cameron almost let Disalvo all the way into the ring before pouncing. With one leg on the apron and one inside the ring though Disalvo punched Cameron in the forehead, then the jaw, then gouged his eyes. Cameron fell to his knees but managed to grab the middle rope and crotch Disalvo. The challenger fell back out of the ring and Cameron recovered inside. Once everyone was back in the ring the two traded punches, kicks, then Cameron went for a DDT but Disalvo pushed him off. Cameron though came right back with a clothesline that knocked the challenger back but not over. He then went at him again, but Disalvo ducked and took Cameron over using his own momentum with a huge powerslam. Disalvo pulled Cameron up by his ears (that will teach him for shaving head head bald) and delivered an impressive hanging vertical suplex. He would have got the 3 count but he was too lazy to do a proper press or grab a leg so the champ managed to drape his leg over the bottom rope after a 2 count. Disalvo went for a piledriver but Cameron countered with a back bodydrop. The match picked up in pace as both men hit shoulderblocks and clotheslines. Cameron tried for a hangman but Disalvo twisted out of it and nailed a side suplex. Disalvo pulled the warmed up steel from his trunks, but Cameron was wise to his ways and blocked the punch, draped Disalvo's arm over the top rope and forced him to drop them to the floor below. Disalvo though used his free hand to pop Cameron in the head. The end came when Disalvo got too aggressive trying to get a superplex. Cameron knocked him off and nailed a shoulderblock from the top buckle. He then came off the ropes and nailed a jumping clothesline, hooked the leg and got the 3 count. Larry Cameron defeated Steve Disalvo by pinfall after a jumping clothesline at 10:10 [Larry Cameron retained the RCW Heavyweight Title]

River City Wrestling #472 June 8, 1991
Winnipeg, Manitoba
Big "Double Tournament Night" Women's Title & #1 Heavyweight Contenders The women's title is open because of the injury to Desiree Petersen.
Men's Quarterfinals "A" Jerry Lynn vs Charlie Norris Charlie Norris put the exclamation point on his new attitude since turning on Wahoo McDaniel last week. After a ref bump he used a steel chair to knock out Lynn and get the tainted victory. Charlie Norris defeated Jerry Lynn by pinfall after a chairshot at 4:36
Dynamite Kid vs Mr. Pogo This draw was brutal for both men. Even though DK can be a scientific wrestler, when faced with a goon like Pogo he likes to fight fire with fire. This bout was an insane brawl that quickly spread to out of the ring and into the crowd. Both men were busted open and counted out. Dynamite Kid and Mr. Pogo battled to a double countout at 5:10
Women's Quarterfinals "B" Stray Kat vs Jeannie Adams Kat controlled early but Adams took over using cheating tactics. Neither woman showed much actual skill. But then Toni Adams came down and slid into the ring and attacked Jeannie. The two of them went at it in a hair pulling, nail raking catfight. Chris Adams came out and with the help of Stray Kat broke the two women apart. Stray Kat and Jeannie Adams battled to a no-contest at 5:39
Tiffany Brannigan vs Kelly St. Croix Brannigan controlled 90% of this match but couldn't put St. Croix away no matter what she tried. Finally, Brannigan nailed a flying cross body block on st. Croix, but she rolled through it, grabbed a handful of tights and got the undeserved win. Kelly St. Croix defeated Tiffany Brannigan by pinfall after an inside cradle with a handful of tights at 4:20
Commissioner Jim Brunzell came down to the ring and said it was not Stray Kat's fault that her match got fallen out, so she should not have to lose her spot in the tournament. While it was not Jeannie Adams' fault either she had it coming for her actions the past while since she came into River City Wrestling. So his ruling is that Stray Kat will get Toni Adams' spot in the first round and that both Adams' girls are out of the tournament.
Men's Quarterfinals "B" Chris Adams (/w Toni Adams) vs The Natural Adams' is being driven to distraction by his wife and ex-wife. He looked out of sorts all match, losing his temper several times and actually being outwrestled by The Natural. In fact the Natural looked like he would be on his way to a straight victory when of course Jeannie Adams came to the ring. She ignored Toni and started to yell instructions to Chris. When her ex-husband took her instructions he began a big comeback and looked much better. But this didn't sit well with Toni who went over and slapped Jeannie. The two began to fight and Chris left the ring, tried to break them up and got counted out. The Natural defeated Chris Adams by contout at 8:09
Johnnie Stewart vs Ben Bassarab Great paced match right from the opening bell. No rest holds and not a lot of kicks and punches. Lots of suplexes, flying moves, chain wrestling, and finally "Mr. Tournament" himself Ben Bassarab ducked under a flying crossbody, and nailed Stewart with a pair of release German suplexes to pick up the win. Ben Bassarab defeated Johnnie Stewart by pinfall after a release German suplex at 5:54
Women's Quarterfinals "B"
Viktoria Ragulin vs K.C. Houston Two villians facing off so the match included a lot of hair pulling and Ragulin also spanked Houston at one point getting the crowd firmly behind her. In the end though Houston is a bit more experienced and the better athlete and pulled out the victory. K.C. Houston defeated Viktoria Ragulin by pinfall after a swinging neckbreaker at 4:12
Stray Kat vs Kathy Weathers Now we had two fan favorites facing off, yet the match quickly turned just as nasty. In fact we had never seen this sort of tactics from the veteran Weathers. In the end though she took a high risk chance for a running kneesmash, Kat moved out of the way, Weathers smashed into the buckle knee first, and Kat rolled her up for the win. Stray Kat defeated Kathy Weathers by pinfall after a victory roll at 6:22
Men's Semi-Finals
Charlie Norris receives a bye
The Natural vs Ben Bassarab The Natural managed to get a hotshot on Bassarab early, and then went after the ribs while Bassarab protected his throat and tried to get his breath back. That would be the story of this match as every time Bassarab exerted himself with high flying moves he had a hard time catching his breath and the Natural would get the advantage back with a mundane move like a knee to the ribs. Bassarab then went to the mat and worked a series of armbars and armbreakers to gain back his breath and momentum. Even though he couldn't get a submission the plan worked and Bassarab gained back control. However after nailing a German suplex and flying headscissors, he went to the top and came off with a crossbody block...but his ribs/side could not take the impact and it seemed to take more out of him then it did the Natural. The underdog went to work on the 5x Tag team champion, and got a 2 count after a DDT, and then had Bassarab in a figure-four for almost 2 minutes. Bassarab though fought back, blocking a kick and nailing the Natural with a spinebuster. He then grabbed the legs of his opponent and slingshot him into the buckle, and followed up with a drop toe hold. Two spinning elbowdrops later and he was climbing the top tope again, but this time he came off with a headbutt (ala his idol Dynamite Kid) and got the hard earned win. Ben Bassarab defeated The Natural by pinfall after a top rope headbutt at 10:18
Women's Semi-Finals
Kelly St. Croix receives a bye
K.C. Houston vs Stray Kat Stray Kat was in over her head against a more talented, bigger, rougher, more experienced competitor. The result was never in doubt. K.C. Houston defeated Stray Kat by pinfall after a running bulldog at 3:49
Men's Final #1 Contender for the Heavyweight Title
Charlie Norris vs Ben Bassarab Norris attacked Bassarab before the bell, and managed to get him all tied up in his warmup jacket. Like a hockey fight he peppered him with shots while Bassarab was unable to see or get his arms free. But Bassarab could see Norris' legs so he kicked him in the shins to get him to back off and took off his jacket. But by then the bigger man had recovered and rocked Bassarab with a clothesline into the corner buckle. Knees to the gut, forearm upper cuts, climb to the second buckle and reign down illegal closed fists to the head. He then pulled Bassarab to the middle of the ring, hit a forearm uppercut, followed by a bodyslam, boot rake of the face, and then a front facelock to slow things down. Norris wore down Bassarab with his weight before Ben managed a comeback. Bassarab came off the ropes slid between Norris' legs, came up behind him and hit a waistlock suplex, didn't release it, got back up, nailed a belly to back suplex. It was all Bassarab for a couple minutes, coming off the ropes, and coming off the second buckle. But then Johnnie Stewart came down to the ring and started to yammer at the ref about a hair pull and a trunk pull, distracting Bassarab who leaned against the ropes. Norris nailed an impressive dropkick and Bassarab flipped over the top rope. Stewart landed a couple kicks while the ref backed Norris away. Kid Gallahad, Bassarab's tag partner, came hobbling down to the ring, obviously still feeling the effects of the damage to his knee from their loss to the Destruction Crew. Gallahad got into it with Stewart, but Stewart put him down with a kick to the injured leg. Bassarab was back on his feet and nailed Stewart from behind, only to have Norris nail him from behind. The ref Jurgen Hermann managed to gain control and get the legal combatants back in the ring and banish the other two to the backstage. Norris had control now and worked over the lower back of Bassarab with several rest holds and back breakers. He went for a Boston crab but was too close to the ropes so Bassarab grabbed the bottom rope. He tried to reapply but Bassarab kicked him into the corner. Bassarab took control now with elbowdrops, kneedrops, clotheslines, flying forearm smash, and a pair of German suplexes. Norris struggled to his feet and never saw it as Bassarab nailed him with a crossbody block off the top rope, but instead of hitting him from the front he nailed him across the back driving him face first into the mat, and got the 1, 2, 3. Ben Bassarab defeated Charlie Norris by pinfall after a top rope crossbody block at 10:33 [Ben Bassarab is the new #1 Contender for the Heavyweight Title]
Main Event North American Women's Title Match - Tournament Final Kelly St. Croix vs K.C. Houston Much to the surprise of the crowd St. Croix actually grabbed an early advantage and held onto it. She showed some of the martial arts moves that Mason Thunder knows as well such as Savate kicks, and a roundhouse kick that she nailed and got an early 2 count. She then went to some blatant chokeholds, smashed Houston's head into the mat a couple times, and then stood on her hair while pulling up on her arms. This was a battle between two villains so the fans reacted to moves but not real cheers. St. Croix after another near 2 count used her silicone assets to try and smother the breath of Houston. Referee Buddy Lane decided that this kind of breath play was not allowed and applied a 5 count, and was jeered by the crowd. Finally Houston got a break, grabbed the waistband of St. Croix and heaved her through the ropes to the floor below. Houston followed her out after a few seconds and the two brawled outside the ring. Lane applied the 10 count but then instead of throwing the match out decided to leave the ring and try and get the two women back inside. Finally order was restored and St. Croix grabbed a side headlock. Four times Houston tried to push her off, each time St. Croix held on. Then St. Croix looked like she was going for a running bulldog, but when her feet left the mat Houston scooped her up and dropped her backward instead. Back on their feet the two women exchanged punches, kicks, nail rakes, hair pulls, everything but recipes. St. Croix nailed a facebuster, and then when Houston got back up fed her a spinning heel kick, she got the 1, 2, foot on the ropes. St. Croix nailed a back bodydrop, 2 count, slingshot suplex, 2 count, top rope elbowdrop...nothing but mat. The two scrambled to their feet, St. Croix went for a clothesline but Houston ducked under, then hit a Reverse Russian legsweep, and an inside cradle, and got the 1, 2, 3. K.C. Houston defeated Kelly St. Croix by pinfall after an inside cradle at 8:58 [K.C. Houston Wins the North American Women's Title]

River City Wrestling #473 June 22, 1991 Winnipeg, Manitoba
Opening Bout Untouchable Buster vs Red Bastien Jr Squash match. Before the match began both Untouchables were out at ringside and put so much intimidation into young Bastien Jr that he was probably beat before the opening bell. Untouchable Buster defeated Red Bastien Jr by pinfall after an overhead release suplex at 3:06
Post-Match: Ice returned to join his partner and they laid the boots into Bastien. The save was made by the return of one half of the former RCW Tag Team champions The Terminators. Terminator Riggs took on both Untouchables and when Bastien joined him they drove the tag team to the back.
Bout #2 Mason Thunder (/w Kelly St. Croix) defeated EZ Ryder by pinfall after a spinning heel kick at 5:15
Bout #3 Johnnie Stewart defeated Buck Zumhofe by pinfall after a flying kneesmash at 7:28
Bout #4 Big Daddy defeated Chi Chi Cruz after a splash drop at 4:03
Bout #5 Untouchable Ice vs Terminator Riggs A follow up to the opening bout. Buster tried to come down to the ring but was sent away before ever reaching the apron. While that was going on Riggs grabbed Ice and dragged him into the ring and went to town on him. Punches, kicks, bodyslam, elbow drops, bearhug...broken by an earringer. Ice came off the ropes with a shoulder block...neither man budged...repeat with the same results. Riggs' turn, but neither man gave an inch. This then resulted in more fisticuffs, which spilled out of the ring. Back inside Ice went to work, knees to the gut, forearm uppercut, armbar, backbreaker, pin attempt gets 1. He telegraphed a blackbody drop and ate a knee to the head. Riggs went to work with a clothesline, knee drop, a slingshot suplex, and then followed that up with a springboard back elbow from the 2nd buckle to get the win. Terminator Riggs defeated Untouchable Ice by pinfall after a springboard back elbow at 5:54
Bout #6 Toni Adams vs Jeannie Adams The girls went after each other before the opening bell even sounded. The ref had to order Chris Adams to the back as he is not a licensed manager. While he did that however Jeannie used blatant chokeholds to gain the advantage. One the ref was back she tried to finish off Toni with a sleeperhold that she kept slipping into a choke. Buddy Lane though got wise to it and ordered the break. Jeannie complained and then ate a fist to the face from Toni who then threw her out of the ring. A baseball slide into Jeannie's head as she tries to recover, and then Toni slid outside the ring and threw Jeannie into the guardrail. Jeannie fought back with a kick to the gut and then rolled Toni back into the ring. Back inside the two went through a criss cross which ended with Jeannie ducking away from a flying crossbody block and Toni being caught mid-air by Buddy Lane. Jeannie nailed a dropkick to the back of Toni who smacked into Lane who was putting her down. Lane got knocked out of the ring. Chris Adams came down to the ring with Jeannie choking his wife. Chris grabbed Jeannie by the back of the hair pulling her off. Jeannie rocked Chris in retaliation with a kick to the groin and then tried for a DDT but Chris tossed her off. Referee Buddy Lane called for the bell from outside of the ring. Jeannie Adams defeated Toni Adams by disqualification for outside interference at 4:35
Post-Match: Chris and Jeannie got into a yelling match, and Jeannie tried to slap Chris but he blocked it. He looked like he was going to hit his ex-wife but referee Buddy Lane stepped between them. Toni though then grabbed Jeannie and tossed her out of the ring.
Bout #7 Jerry Lynn vs Mr. Pogo Lynn tried his best to make this a wrestling match, but that lasted about 30 seconds. Referee Jurgen Hermann tried his best not to disqualify Mr. Pogo for using everything not nailed down but that lasted about two minutes. Jerry Lynn defeated Mr. Pogo by disqualification for use of many foreign objects at 3:02
Post-Match: The post match brawl went all around ringside and into the crowd and lasted longer then the match. Pogo looked 100% in control and was ready to do some major damage to Lynn when EZ Ryder came out of nowhere and ~waffled~ him from behind with a steel chair.
Pre-Match: Chris Adams comes to the ring, upset at what has transpired between his wife and his ex-wife, and that he has asked Toni to stay in the locker room. Then the Natural comes out to the ring saying that Adams had demanded a rematch tonight, but by the Natural's count he's already beat him twice. Adams says no problem he can beat the Natural twice, but the Natural counters with that making it only a tie. Can you beat me three times in a row? Adams accepts the challenge and officially it is called a best of 5.
Bout #8 Best of 5 falls (The Natural has already won the first 2 falls) Chris Adams vs The Natural Natural started strong with a series of wristlocks and then an armbar. Adams would eventually take over the fall, but he telegraphed a back body drop, the Natural flipped over his back and when Adams turned around Natural went for a super kick, but Adams moved out of the way, and when Natural regained his balance he was fed a super kick to the face by Adams in return. Chris Adams pinned the Natural after a super kick at 4:20 [Natural leads 2 falls to 1] The next fall started with Natural complaining about a hair pull to buy some time, then he went to the crowd in search of a comb, borrowed one and did a bit of styling. Adams finally couldn't take anymore and left the ring and went after him. The two brawled outside the ring and Natural nailed Adams with a hotshot off the guardrail. Back inside Natural had complete control, working a body scissors, side breaker, abdominal stretch, and then a sleeper hold, but couldn't get the win. Adams made a quick comeback, nailed Natural with an atomic drop and when he bounced back from the buckle he followed through with a belly to back suplex and got the pin. Chris Adams pinned the Natural after a belly to back suplex at 10:02 [Tied 2 falls each] Natural attacked Adams before the next fall could start, taking his feet out from under him. He went after the legs, leaping off the second buckle over and over again on the legs, followed by a figure-four. Adams finally managed to turn it over to get the break. Natural though went right back after the leg. When Adams finally made a comeback he couldn't even stand so he took Natural down with a leg whip and then went to work on the mat. Leg spreader, spinning toe hold, and an STF but couldn't get the submission. Back on their feet now Adams had recovered. The two went back and forth with strikes and impact moves. Then the predictable happened and Jeannie Adams came to ringside followed swiftly by Toni Adams. Jeannie got the advantage though by smashing Toni's head off the apron, and then laid the boots to her. Chris Adams had no choice but to be distracted and this allowed Natural to double axhandle him from behind and then lay the boots to him in the corner. Outside the ring though Toni took the advantage from Jeannie, and when Natural came off the ropes Toni reached in and tripped him, something missed by Buddy Lane. Natural got up, and was fed another helping of super kick. Chris Adams pinned the Natural after a super kick at 16:33 [Chris Adams wins 3 falls to 2]
Bout #9 North American Women's Title Match K.C. Houston (champion) vs Kelly St. Croix St. Croix had her moments in this match but did not impress as much as she did in the tournament final two weeks ago. Houston looked strong throughout the match and left no doubt she was ready to move on to another opponent (likely a fan favourite). K.C. Houston pinned Kelly St. Croix after a running bulldog at 6:06 [K.C. Houston retained the North American Women's Title]
Bout #10 RCW Tag Team Title Match Destruction Crew: Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom (champions) vs British Bruisers: Dynamite Kid & Johnny Smith Enos started against Smith and grabbed the advantage. Bloom pushed the advantage but then DK got the tag in and took over the match. DK tagged out to Smith and soon Bloom tagged out to Enos and we were back to where we started. Things got a bit rough and all 4 men went at it in the middle of the ring. Ref Buddy Lane restored order and DK went to work on Bloom with kicks, arm wrench, and an impressive snap suplex. Tagged out to Smith who came off the second rope onto Bloom's outstretched arm being held by DK. Smith went to work again on Bloom...and then Mr. Pogo ran down to the ring and pulled Dynamite Kid off the apron. Pogo threw him into the guardrail, grabbed a steel chair and ~waffled~ him. Back inside Destruction Crew decided to double team Smith. After a stuffed piledriver they went for the pin but Lane refused to count and left the ring to try and rescue Kid. Pogo though punched Lane and dropped him. Pogo entered the ring with the chair and while Enos and Bloom held Smith he nailed him in the head dropping him. Destruction Crew celebrated, right up until Pogo nailed Bloom across the back, and then the head. Enos went after Pogo and the two grappled over the chair. Enos grabbed it and hit Pogo over the head. Pogo rolled out of the ring and left the premises. Destruction Crew and British Bruisers battled to a no-contest at 6:23 [Destruction Crew retained the RCW Tag Team Titles]
Bout #11 RCW Heritage Title Match Wahoo McDaniel (champion) vs Charlie Norris McDaniel faced off against his former friend and fellow Native American, Charlie Norris. McDaniel grabbed an early advantage and used his experience to counter Norris' attempts at offence. McDaniel extended an olive branch with a handshake attempt to try and bring Norris along, but was refused with a smack across the face. Norris nailed a knee into the lower abdomen of the champ and then hit a chop to the throat. Norris took McDaniel down to the mat and dropped a knee into the "upper" thigh, and finally got a warning from referee Jurgen Hermann. Norris went to work on the legs of McDaniel for a couple minutes but when he tried for a figure-four he looked a bit confused and slow to put it on and McDaniel managed to kick him off. The champ got to his feet but unable to stand on his own backed himself into the buckle. Norris went after him but McDaniel was able to trade punch for punch, chop for chop out of the corner. Finally McDaniel reversed things and swung Norris into the corner, but then found himself unsteady, and Norris took the opening to nail an elbowsmash to the head. Norris then exploded out of the corner nailing the champ with a spine buster slam and got a 2 count. Norris tried a few more things to no avail, and then climbed to the second buckle and came off, but McDaniel moved out of the way. From his back the veteran kicked away at the young challenger, and then got to his feet, nailed Norris with a hip toss, then a powerslam for a 2 count. The match spilled outside where the intensity and hatred picked up as the two continued to brawl. In the brawl Norris' head got busted open. Back inside Norris tried to exchange chops and elbows with McDaniel and even though both are about the same size, McDaniel has that man strength and got the better of the turncoat. He nailed a powerslam, and then a Tomahawk chop for the win over his bloodied opponent. Wahoo McDaniel pinned Charlie Norris after a Tomahawk Chop at 10:36 [Wahoo McDaniel retained the RCW Heritage Title]
Post-Match: McDaniel was presented with his belt while Norris watched, and then left the ring. Norris though called him back, refusing medical attention, the blood streaming down his head now. McDaniel slowly made his way back to the ring. Norris told McDaniel that he beat him fair and square and offered an apology to McDaniel his "brother". He offered a handshake but McDaniel didn't look sold yet. He carefully took the mic from Norris and started to speak...and was Pearl Harboured from behind by Johnnie Stewart. Norris joined Stewart and the two laid the boots to McDaniel who was finally rescued by Terminator Riggs.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match
Lethal Larry Cameron (champion) vs Ben Bassarab The most decorated athlete in RCW history with 5 tag team reigns and 3 Television title reigns, Bassarab was taking another stab at the biggest prize of all, the Heavyweight title, which has eluded him in previous matchups. As the match began with both men being hesitant and defensive, no one seemed in a hurry, and the fans settled in for what looked like it could be a long affair. Bassarab grabbed the first advantage, and worked a couple restholds including a series of standing wristlocks, but those are not going to put away the muscular champion. When Cameron got his first advantage of the match he went to work on the lower back of Bassarab, including putting him face first into the buckle and then risking DQ to continue to punish him with knees to the back. A standing surfboard, a bear hug, and then a pair of backbreakers yielded a 2 count. Bassarab took a powder outside the ring to grab a break but the champ followed him out, so Bassarab slipped back in, then caught the champ with a diving shoulder as he entered the ring. Bassarab nailed a pair of dropkicks, a monkey flip, and then a series of 4 hip tosses before Cameron decided to leave the ring to take a breath. There were some delays as he backed out of entering the ring twice when the challenger got too close and was sent back by ref Buddy Lane. They locked up again and Cameron nailed a knee to the gut, then another, then a knee lift to the head, then went to work on the back again. The champ softened the back, tried for a Boston crab but could only get a single leg and Bassarab got to the ropes for a break. Rather then break clean the champ pulled Bassarab up in the air and smashed him to the mat, then went to work again on the back. He modified his attack a bit with a front facelock, before nailing a back body drop, another backbreaker, some stomps, and then a standing torture rack. Bassarab managed to work through the pain and grab the top rope. Instead of breaking clean though the champ deposited Bassarab over the top rope to the ground below. Cameron made a mistake though by taking some time and then deciding he was going to jump off the apron with a double axhandle, and Bassarab turned around and nailed him with a knee to the gut in midair. Bassarab then sent Cameron back first into the ring apron, then nailed a spinebuster slam on the outside mats. Back inside Bassarab kept the advantage with a side headlock, then an armbar, and finally an abdominal stretch. The underdog unable to get a submission nailed an arm capture suplex, a German suplex, and then came off the top rope with an elbowdrop and would have got the win but they were too close to the ropes and the champ managed to drape a foot over the bottom rope. Bassarab sent the champ to the buckle and nailed a back bodydrop, then a moonsault for a 2 count. He went for a flying shoulderblock after sending the champ to the ropes but got the worse of it and both men were down. Bassarab was on his feet first but when he grabbed the head of the champ, Cameron reacted with a vicious spinebuster slam of his own, for a 1 count. Back on their feet they did some work coming off the ropes and criss-crossing, and finally Bassarab took Cameron down with a drop toe hold that saw the champ tumble out of the ring. Bassarab came off the far ropes and dove between the second and third rope nailing an impressive tope on the champ. However, both men were stunned and the count was applied, with Bassarab being the only one able to make it back in time to beat the count. Ben Bassarab defeated Larry Cameron by countout at 18:19 [Larry Cameron retained the RCW Heavyweight Title]

River City Wrestling #474 July 6, 1991 Winnipeg, Manitoba Opening Bout Dan Denton defeated Randy Thatcher after a Dirty Bomb (Sit out powerbomb) at 6:20
Bout #2 Jeannie Adams defeated Tiffany Brannigan after an airplane spin at 5:08
Bout #3 The Natural and Chi Chi Cruz battled to a double disqualification at 8:43 These two undercarders lit it up with a high energy yet psychology filled match that ended up with them exchanging chair shots outside the ring which ended things.
Bout #4 Premiere of Bullet Train Bullet Train (Lance Storm & Mike Lozansky) defeated The Untouchables by pinfall when Lozansky pinned Ice after a bullet dropkick (top rope missile dropkick) at 9:25 Excellent match. Storm and Lozansky worked well together, similar enough to be one of those homogeneous teams that are all the rage, but different enough in style (Storm more of a technician, Lozansky more of a high flyer) to complement each other well. The Untouchables have brute strength but they wore down as the match progressed and were noticeably out of breath compared to their more fit opponents. The Bullet Train wore white masks while in the ring sporting Japanese letters in black, but there was no mystery or concealment as to who they were from the announcers before or during the match.
Bout #5 Chris Adams defeated Timothy Flowers by pinfall after a superkick at 5:56 Second straight week for Adams with a more positive result. He chose not to have Toni come down to the ring with him, presumably because her own match was next. But the announcers made a big deal out of her absence (and the fact that Jeannie also steered clear of the bout) and that he seems more focused and gets better results on his own.
Bout #6 North American Women's Title Match Toni Adams defeated K.C. Houston by pinfall after a superkick at 7:31 Adams was a clear underdog during the match and although she started strong Houston exerted her will on Adams and showed her size and experience advantage. Houston controlled most of the match but Adams had a brief comeback after moving away from a splash attempt in the corner. She rolled the champ up and got a 2 count, sent her to the ropes and nailed a side suplex, then when the champ got up she nailed her with her husband's finisher the superkick to pick up the win and the belt. [Toni Adams wins the North American Women's Title]
Bout #7 No Countout - No Disqualification Mr. Pogo defeated EZ Ryder by pinfall after complete chaos at 7:47 Ryder may have that big tough biker look but in reality he is not very big and not very experienced. This hardcore style of Mr. Pogo's brought in from Japan was very foreign to RCW and to the Winnipeg fans, and while a novelty at first did not really go over well for a live audience. As much of the match took place around ringside and into the stands sight lines were terrible, and the arena lighting crew even tried playing with the house lights to help the fans to no avail. The ring announcers called it a disgrace. As for the actual bout, while Ryder was a game opponent and certainly dished out his share of the punishment, even though Pogo bled much more than Ryder, the match was dominated by Pogo. In the end Pogo pinned Ryder on top of the announce table.
Bout #8 Charlie Norris & Johnnie Stewart defeated Wahoo McDaniel & Terminator Riggs by pinfall when Stewart pinned McDaniel after a flying kneesmash at 11:52 A bit of an upset as in singles one would favour either McDaniel or Riggs over either of their opponents. The match had McDaniel playing the role of Ricky Morton for a while before making the hot tag to Riggs. Stewart and Norris managed to stay alive only by having the illegal man break up submission attempts and pin attempts. There were the usual couple 4 man brawls as well, but overall head referee Buddy Lane did a fairly good job of keeping order. The end came however while he was distracted putting Riggs out of the ring which allowed a double team with Norris nailing a Tomahawk Chop and Stewart coming off the ropes and after loading his kneepad and striking the winning blow. The use of the loaded kneepad by Stewart has become more and more obvious every week and eventually Commissioner Jim Brunzell will have to do something about it.
Bout #9 RCW Tag Team Title Match Destruction Crew: Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom (champions) defeated British Bruisers: Dynamite Kid & Johnny Smith by disqualification when Dynamite Kid used a steel chair at 9:25 Very even match. Neither team held a distinct advantage for more than a minute, and each of the four men seemed to have control of the match at one point, and each at the receiving end at one point. Enos and Bloom though took advantage of drawing Jurgen Hermann as a ref and managed to confuse him enough that they could double team Johnny Smith. Twice Smith made the tag but both times Hermann did not see it and did not allow it. When it happened a third time DK lost his composure, left the ring, came back with a steel chair and ~waffled~ Enos and then Bloom. Then he hit them each a second and third time. Smith finally managed to talk him down and the two left the ring without the titles. [Destruction Crew retained the RCW Tag Team Titles]
Main Event
RCW Heavyweight Title Match Lethal Larry Cameron (champion) defeated Ben Bassarab by pinfall after a powerslam at 12:50 Bassarab's quest to win the Heavyweight title which has eluded him once again took a step backward. Cameron controlled the match early with his power, wearing down Bassarab with restholds. Around the 5 minute mark Bassarab started to make a comeback and as they say in hockey, got his feet moving. However, with the champ on the ropes (literally) and then taking a rest outside the ring Bassarab showed a conservative streak in waiting for Buddy Lane to apply a 10 count and allowing the champ a rest. The announcers suggested that this may have been a result of last card's victory but only by countout after a tope. This allowed Cameron not only a rest but to gain back the advantage. A minute later and things swung around again, but once again the champ took a rest outside, and once again Bassarab was willing to wait it out. Cameron locked up with Bassarab and raked him in the eyes. He whipped him to the buckle and nailed a sky high backbody drop. This was followed by two elbowdrops and a 2 count. Cameron came off the ropes and nailed a flying shoulderblock, but the pin was too close to the ropes and Bassrab managed to drape a foot over the bottom. Cameron locked in a full nelson, but Bassarab managed to get close enough to the corner to walk his way up the buckle and then break the hold with a back somersault. He took the champ down with a leg sweep, then nailed a hip toss, then a German suplex. Bassarab could smell blood and the fans were on their feet as he climbed to the top buckle. Just before he leaped there was a moment, about 1 second, that he had to regain his balance, and that turned out to be the deciding factor. Bassarab went for a flying crossbody block off that top buckle but the champ caught him in mid air and used that momentum to deliver a massive powerslam to end the match. [Larry Cameron retained the RCW Heavyweight Title]

River City Wrestling #475 July 20, 1991 Winnipeg, Manitoba Before the card started Commissioner Jim Brunzell came down to the ring and got a nice ovation. Brunzell announced a couple changes to tonight's advertised lineup. First off, in lieu of what happened last card Dynamite Kid does not deserve to get another tag team title shot; but Johnny Smith does and is called down to the ring along with Dynamite Kid. Brunzell tells Kid that since he likes to use chairs so much and there is this other lunatic running around RCW by the name of Mr. Pogo, and since the two have unfinished business from before, the two of them can battle it out tonight in a no-disqualification, no-countout match. He tells Smith to name a new partner for a rematch tonight against the champ Destruction Crew. Smith tries to say no way, he won't do it without Kid but actually Kid tells him not to worry about it, he's fine with getting another shot at Pogo. So after thinking for a minute Smith says he knows there is another former Stampede wrestler here who wrestles a lot like Dynamite Kid, and offers the spot to Ben Bassarab who is called down to the ring. Bassarab at first is hesitant saying he is a 5x tag champion with 3 different partners, and has also held the television title 3x, and the only thing he has left to prove is the Heavyweight title. Brunzell reminds Bassarab that he had his shot and couldnt wrestle the title away from Larry Cameron. Bassarab seems a bit pissed off at Brunzell, but once Dynamite Kid himself steps up and asks Bassarab to fill his boots for him the deal is sealed. The other order of business is that normally K.C Houston would be entitled to a rematch for the North American Women's title she lost last card to Toni Adams, but Houston could not be here tonight so that will have to wait. Brunzell announces that Toni Adams instead will defend her belt against her nemesis Jeannie Adams.
Opening Bout EZ Ryder defeated French Mad Dog after a powerslam at 4:45
Bout #2 Tiffany Brannigan defeated Pink Demon after a somersault splash at 3:36 Well we've had masked generic jobbers in the men's division called the Black Demon and the Red Demon, so why not a female version, the Pink Demon?
Bout #3 Chi Chi Cruz and The Natural battled to a time limit draw 20:00 This was supposed to be the rematch to settle last card's double disqualification but instead the two evenly matched men kept the crowd entertained for the distance. Afterward the heel Natural offered a handshake to Chi Chi, but the fan favourite after consulting with the crowd thought better of it and just left the ring.
Bout #4 Bullet Train: Lance Storm & Mike Lozansky defeated Dan Denton & Timothy Flowers by submission when Denton submitted to Storm while in the half-Boston crab at 8:19 This match was actually a step down from last week's match against the Untouchables. Flowers held his own with a bit more experience but Denton proved to be the weak link.
Bout #5 Terminator Riggs defeated Charlie Norris by pinfall after a piledriver at 6:52 Riggs just proved to be too tough, too strong, and most of all too tenacious for Norris. Riggs looks even better in singles competition then he did as a tag team champion.
Bout #6 North American Women's Title Match Toni Adams and Jeannie Adams battled to a double disqualification at 4:47 Fairly predictable outcome as the ring could not hold the hatred that these two women have for each other. The interesting note is that at no time did Chris Adams come to ringside as he is preparing for his Heavyweight title shot tonight. [Toni Adams retained the North American Women's Title]
Bout #7 No Disqualification, No Countout Dynamite Kid defeated Mr. Pogo by pinfall after a top rope chair shot at 8:50 Brutal hardcore match that saw both men bleed early and a lot. About 5 minutes into the match Jim Brunzell came down and tried to get referee Jurgen Hermann to get both men back in the ring or to throw the match out. He really couldn't do anything about it but the message seemed to be received by Dynamite Kid who once he got the advantage took Pogo inside the ring. The match continued and the ring got stained with blood. The end came when DK nailed Pogo with a snap suplex on top of the chair, then came off the top nailing Pogo over the head and got the pin.
Bout #8 RCW Heritage Title Match Wahoo McDaniel defeated Johnnie Stewart by pinfall after a Tomahawk Chop at 6:42 Nothing new here, and no attempted outside shenanigans by Charlie Norris or Terminator Riggs. McDaniel is stronger, more experienced and more over. [Wahoo McDaniel retained the RCW Heritage Title]
Bout #9 RCW Tag Team Title Match Destruction Crew: Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom defeated Johnny Smith & Ben Bassarab by pinfall when Bloom pinned Bassarab after a double underhook suplex at 9:15 Bassarab and Smith made a good tag team, and Bassarab seemed to slip right into the role left by Dynamite Kid. However at the wrong times they lacked continuity and this allowed Enos and Bloom to break up several double team as well as pin attempts. In the end Smith and Bassarab shook hands but didn't talk to each other as they walked out of the ring. [Destruction Crew retained the RCW Tag Team Titles]
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Lethal Larry Cameron (champion) vs Chris Adams Surprisingly Chris Adams came down to the ring without Toni Adams. With lots of rest from her previous match we can only presume he didn't want her to accompany him as his recent winning streak has come while alone. Adams wanted to match this match a contest of wrestling, while Cameron wanted a brawl. Adams was able to apply some classical shoot moves to counter Cameron's attempts to brawl, such as a single leg takedown. This approach worked for quite a while but he didn't seem to have enough to put the champion away. Cameron took over the match and after a ref bump he exposed the turnbuckle. Toni Adams ran down to the ring and jumped on Cameron's back, but he easily flipped her off and then tossed her out of the ring. Cameron then whipped Adams at that exposed buckle; however Jeannie Adams had come down to the ring and jumped in the way so that Adams collided with her instead of the buckle. Frustrated Cameron then threw Jeannie out of the ring. He turned around, and Adams nailed him with a superkick, and got...nothing....Buddy Lane the ref was still down. Adams woke up Lane, but then walked right into a running clothesline from the champ. This was followed by a powerbomb, and then a running shoulderblock for the win. Larry Cameron defeated Chris Adams by pinfall after a running shoulderblock at 9:39 [Larry Cameron retained the RCW Heavyweight Title]
Post-Match: Adams seemed confused. He left the ringside area with Toni, but he took a few second glances backward at Jeannie as well.
