From WWE.com:
WWE has come to terms on the release of Smackdown superstar Eric Escobar as of Jan. 17, 2010. WWE wishes Eric all the best in his future endeavors.
Escobar (real name Eric Perez) only made his WWE debut at the end of September last year after being called up to SmackDown from FCW. He worked as a heel with Vickie Guerrero as his manager, but that angle was quickly dropped and he was turned face. WWE was reportedly unhappy with his ring work. And no one will notice that he's gone.
DJ Gabriel (Steve Lewington) was released a short time ago as well... but like Escobar no one noticed or cared.

...I would have liked to see Mickie James go out on somthing a little more positive than the Piggy James angle, but meh, if TNA is getting rid some of the women they have that can wrestle, then WWE can do the same...

Knox was good as Jobber to the Stars... Unfortunately, the WWE hasn't quite gotten back to using people like that (see my other post)... These days it's either Out and Out Jobber or Superstar.
