Seconded. Man, that was real scary, though. Just the way Cole looked while he was talking... I thought he was a goner for sure. I really didn't want to watch anything after that, but what do you do? I only kept watching hoping that they'd have an announcement at the end one way or another. The lack of commentary for the last 30-45 minutes made it even more eerie. That has to be the first time in my life I ever wanted to hear Michael Cole commentate.

The other three big incidents that broke announcer kayfabe completely were the nights that Buff Bagwell had his neck broken by Rick Steiner on Nitro, the night Sid decided he was going to be a high flyer at the WCW Sin, and of course, the night that Owen Hart died (and the night after on RAW).
I knew something bad was going on during the tag match of Kane and Bryan vs Prime Time Players when Cole stopped talking and they started using really weird (even by WWE standards) jump cut edits during the match so you couldn't see the personnel running all over the place. Although you can see a production jetting across the stage and one of the medical trainers heads to the ring thusly starting the jump cuts. And all of the fans are standing looking at the announce table. And even a little "Jerry, Jerry" chant broke out for a bit. Cole said all of about 2 sentences during that match.
They went to a lot of pre-tape after the tag match which is never a good sign when someone is legit injured or having a medical emergency.
Michael Cole handled the entire thing in the utmost of respectful ways and should be commended for his job at ringside last night even if his thoughts where not on the show but on his friend and wrestling trainer.
For a man that has brought us over 30 years of wrestling entertainment, I hope that Lawler can some day put the headsets back on with JR and Cole and call more in ring action.
Get well King!

Get well King.
Props to Michael Cole. As much crap he gets (most of it deserved) he handle the situation very well.

I had read spoilers before I watched it so I knew when it was supposed to happen. And I agree that if I hadn't known I would have been slightly confused since it suddenly was hardly any word from commentary.
All I could think about was what would have caused it and I do believe the chokehold from Dolph was it, but with a delayed reaction.
I do hope he returns but stops wrestling, now that he has had that scare.

I don't think any one move "caused" it...
King had worked in Aruba doing Indy shows all weekend (wrestling), and had flown to Montreal Monday.
On top of that, his ex-wife and his current GF have both stated that he was lucky to be at the announce booth because he has a habit after a show of "Getting fast food and going to the hotel, or grabbing food at a bar"..... His diet is most likely the real culprit (Considering the doctors are saying his circulation is fine BUT that he had build up in the arteries, this makes sense)
I just hope that WWE doesn't use this in an angle to keep pushing Punk as a heel. I know King would probably have no problem with it, but it would just seem.... Wrong.
Punk and Heyman have lots of ways to get heel heet. They don't need legit heart attacks to help them :-P
