NAWA Glory 3/17/07
Tonight on NAWA Glory we will see a huge tag team main event with the NAWA World Champion Teddy Hart teaming up with the Gambler to take on the number one contender Harry Harris and Samoa Joe. Plus the number one contendership for the NAWA Television Championship will be determined when Bryan Danielson takes on Jerry Lynn, the winner gets the next title shot against Skyhawk. Homicide puts the NAWA Cruiserweight Championship on the line against AJ Styles and Match Six of the Best of Seven Series takes place. Let's kick things off on Glory with that.
The Motor City Machine Guns vs. The Briscoe Brothers in Match Six of the Best of Seven Series
High intensity tag team action kicks things off on Glory. The Briscoes use their rough neck tactics to keep Sabin in the corner and beat him down with a series of stiff tag team moves. Sabin fights out and makes the hot tag to Shelley who runs wild. The Guns pull out combination power bomb/sliced bread but that doesn't put the Briscoes away. Sabin is back in the legal man and goes for the Cradle Shock but Mark blocks that move and hits a leg lariat for a nearfall. Attempted Death Valley Driver but Shelley hits a springboard roundhouse kick to the face which allows Sabin to roll up Briscoe for the pin with a crucifix. The Guns tie up the series 3-3.

Backstage:
We see Candace Sweet freaking out and on her phone to the lawyers. It is revealed quickly that she found out what was in the contract that she signed last week when Shawn Stasiak shoved it underneath her nose. Sweet shrieks at Stasiak, saying that he better win and he better beat Curry Man. It will be a Mask Versus Hair Match at Reality Check, Curry Man's Mask Versus Candace's Hair. Candace yells that her hair is worth more than the houses of these idiots and she'd have a mental breakdown if she was shaved bald. Stasiak says he has it under control. She says he better and tonight she's hired Nigel McGuiness to soften up Curry Man for him, so he can win.

Tyler Black vs Low Ki
Low Ki nails Black with a sickening kick to the ribs and beats him down. Black fires back with some offense but a Yakuza Kick nails him in the ribs. Low-Ki applies a bow and arrow submission hold and then keeps kneeing Black in the back of the head. Low Ki shoves the referee down and hits a running kick to the side of Black's head. The referee calls for the bell, disqualifying Low-Ki.
Tyler Black defeated Low Ki by disqualification in 0:04:20.

Homicide is called in and Low-Ki applies the Dragon Clutch. Running dropkick from Homicide, as the announcers put together the pieces. This was never about Low Ki getting the win, this was about softening up Black for Homicide in nine days. Homicide gives him the Gringo Killer and Low-Ki adds insult to injury with a double foot stomp to the face. Black is down for the count and the two stand over him. Homicide puts that NAWA Cruiserweight Title on the line against Tyler Black at Reality Check, providing he gets past AJ Styles tonight.
Backstage:
Harry Harris prepares for tonight's match, but Samoa Joe comes up to him, warning Harris that he better not try anything. The past few weeks, Joe has been noticing more and more shady things about Harris and he lets Harris know that if he swerves Joe tonight or finds out that he's in cahoots with Sweeney, he'll rip his head off. Harris states that Joe can trust him. Joe eyes Harris suspiciously, and saying that no matter who wins at Reality Check, Joe is coming for the NAWA World Title next. There is a tense moment between these two heated rivals and tag team partners tonight.

Serena Deeb vs. Mia Stylish.
Mia Stylish tears through Serena like a hot knife through butter. Serena gains a brief advantage with a lariat and a T-Bone Suplex but a pump splash misses. Stylish hits a huge Asai Moonsault into an inverted DDT, before she hangs on with a dragon sleeper. Serena is out and Stylish gets the win.

Mia Stylish gets on the microphone and hypes her match up with Awesome Kong. She's held the Women's Championship for five days, not nearly enough. She's been stewing for the two months that Kong put her on the shelf and she's coming for the belt. She's saw Kong taking down everyone in her path, but in nine days, we will have a brand new NAWA Women's Champion. Kong comes out to stare down Stylish but nothing comes out it. Two of the best women wrestlers in the world square off for the richest prize in female wrestling today, the NAWA Women's Championship.
From one Stylish to another, Miles Stylish cuts a promo about his match with Kurt Angle at Reality Check. Stylish has beaten a who's who's list of competitors in the NAWA, from Harry Harris to Ron Waterman to Raven to Christopher Daniels to Jerry Lynn to Teddy Hart and everyone in between. Despite the fact he's defeated some of the best in the business, he's never defeated Kurt Angle. Two Out of Three Falls, Stylish is game. He wants the NAWA World Championship for a third time and Angle's going to be the one who will be his gateway towards the gold. Stylish vows not only to beat Angle but also beat him in two straight falls. StarClash 06 was lightning in a bottle that Angle won't capture again.

Bryan Danielson vs Jerry Lynn(w/Bob Backlund) for an NAWA Television Title Shot
Both men shake hands and there is no pretext. They trade some technical wrestling offense, with Backlund watching this match, impressed. Lynn and Danielson light into each other with strikes, with Danielson taking him down with a running kneelift and a Samoan Drop. Lynn regroups to the outside and Danielson hits a tope suicida. Back in but Lynn returns fire and reverse neckbreaker gets the heat. Shoulderbeaker by Lynn setting him up for the chickewing but Danielson has counters to that move and a running dropkick in the corner sets up a small package for a two count. Danielson hammers away at Lynn but Lynn goes to the eyes, before hooking Danielson in a cradle hook. Fisherman buster gets a nearfall. Lynn goes to the top rope but Danielson catches him coming off with a wrist clutch exploder for a nearfall.
To the outside but the diving headbutt misses. Lynn goes for the Tornado DDT but Danielson blocks it and rolling elbow smash is avoided. That's the move that Danielson beat Lynn at back at WrestleClash IV so Lynn has it well scouted. Danielson kicks Lynn hard in the chest and gutwrench no reversed into a Cradle Tombstone, reversed into a Victory Roll for a two count. Both men trade roll ups with Danielson pulling out a guillotine choke but Lynn makes it to the ropes. Danielson beats on Lynn with elbow strikes in the corner and to the top rope. Lynn catches him on the top rope and super gutbuster gets a nearfall. Going for the Chickenwing but Danielson reverses into one of his own which causes Backlund to flip at ringside. In the ropes and Lynn snaps the neck of Danielson on the top rope. He is back into the ring and grabs him, hitting the Cradle Piledriver for the pin!

Sederick Skyhawk is out after the match, applauding Lynn's victory, slowing and sarcastically. He states that he should be challenging for the NAWA World Championship, saying that he beat Harry Harris last week on this show, but he's going to give Lynn an opportunity of a lifetime by stepping into the ring for his fifteen minutes of greatness. But Skyhawk feels he should be compensated for his time and the title shot that he's given Lynn. Skyhawk offers Lynn a deal, the NAWA Television Championship is on the line for the first fifteen minutes but after that, it becomes a match for the NAWA International Championship. Lynn accepts, saying that he'll rip Skyhawk's arm out of his socket and win the Television Title, a belt he's held three times before. It will have respect once again.

AJ Styles vs. Homicide(c)
Styles and Homicide exchange a series of chops and punches, with he leapfrogs over Homicide and hits a leaping dropkick for a two count. Somersault plancha is avoided and Styles splats on the floor. Homicide beats down Styles, nailing him with a series of elbows to the side of the head. Styles is rammed into the post and slingshot somersault senton for a two count. Homicide goes for the Gringo Killa but Styles flips out and hits the Pele Kick for a nearfall. Springboard elbow drop but Homicide kicks out. To the top rope but Homicide nails him with a kick when he flies off the top rope. He rakes him, before Homicide steps back and lariats him for the three.

Homicide retains the Cruiserweight Championship and he goes onto Reality Check to defend against Tyler Black. He picks up his Cruiserweight Title Belt and his one half of the Tag Team Title Belts.
Kurt Angle cuts a promo, talking about how he's beaten the very best in the business but he's never become the NAWA World Champion and he can't consider himself the very best until he wins that belt. He talks about he'll do anything to get his title shot and Stylish doesn't realize that StarClash 06 was just a taste of what Kurt Angle has to offer. He vows to roll over Stylish in two straight in their Best Two Out of Three Falls Number One Contenders Match. There is a lot on the line, bragging rights are at stake and Angle won't go down without a fight.

Nigel McGuinness cuts a brief promo, saying that Candace Sweet paid him good money to wreck Curry Man tonight so he calls him out. Tonight he's going to meet his match and Nigel is going to crush him and end him in the center of the ring. Out comes Curry Man and he's ready to go. There have been rumors who is underneath the mask and if Shawn Stasiak can defeat him, we'll find out if that's true.
Nigel McGuinness vs Curry Man
Curry Man does a drop down, leapfrog, and spin kick to bring McGuinness down for a nearfall. McGuinness quickly gains advantage, hitting a hotshot and he works over the Curry Man, working him over with a series of submission moves, stretching him on the canvas and burying his elbow into the side of him. He beat on him, nailing him with a knee to the side of the head and a running kneelift to the chest which rocked him. McGuinness goes for the Tower of London but Curry Man hangs onto the top rope to block it and hits a springboard clothesline for a two count to take him down. Shawn Stasiak is out and he tries to help McGuinness but Stasiak just gets in his way. This allows Curry Man to score with a roll up for the pin.

Curry Man slips to the outside with the win and Nigel is not too happy, so he gives Stasiak a stiff lariat knocking him out. Nigel got his money so he doesn't care. Hype for Reality Check where Curry Man will take on Shawn Stasiak. If Stasiak wins, then Curry Man has to unmask. And if Curry Man wins, Candace Sweet will have to shave her head completely bald. This is a high stakes match.

There is some tension between Samoa Joe and Harry Harris after the events of StarClash 06. Both of them trade some rather rough tags and take turns beating down the Gambler in the center of the ring. The Gambler fires back with a series of punches on Harris and hits a huge spear on Harris for a two count. The Gambler wants a huge victory, with his career running down, he needs a big win to get in line for an NAWA World Championship Title Shot. Harris low bridges the Gambler to the floor and slams him into the post on the outside. A huge Rocker Dropper brings him down face first onto the mats and Harris brings him into the ring, before tagging in Joe. Joe punishes the Gambler into the corner, with a series of stiff strikes and submission holds. Saito Suplex nearly spells the end for the Gambler. Joe ducks the head and Gambler hits a DDT for a two count. To the top rope but Joe catches him on the top rope. Samoan Drop connects the Gambler and Joe folds him up for a two count.
Harris is back in and beats on the Gambler but the Gambler catches him with a spinebuster. Hot tag made to Teddy Hart and the NAWA World Champion is in, running wild. He hits a Russian Legsweep on Joe, followed by a tilt a whirl backbreaker, and an elbowdrop off of the second rope but Joe kicks out at two. Hart beats on the knees of Joe but is caught on a rana and nailed with a vicious power bomb for a two count. Joe beats on Hart and Texas Cloverleaf applied. The Gambler flies in with a huge forearm smash and Harris nails the Gambler, sending him to the arena floor. Hart gets overzelous on a charge and hits his shoulder on the ringpost. That was the same shoulder that he injured a few days ago on Glory against Jerry Lynn and Joe hits a shoulder throw before he slaps on a cross armbreaker. Hart fights valiantly but Joe has him trapped in the center of the ring, so he has no choice but to tap out!
Harry Harris and Samoa Joe defeated Teddy Hart and The Gambler when
Joe made T. Hart submit to a cross-armbreaker in 0:14:32.

Write that one in the record books, Samoa Joe made the NAWA World Champion tap out, which has to increase his potential prospects for a future title shot. Harry Harris enters the ring and Joe gives him the evil eye but Harris applauds his win, before he checks out Hart, yelling for the doctors because he wants him one hundred percent. Hart is checked on as Harris has the NAWA World Title Belt on his hands. For a brief second it looks like he's going to hit Hart with it, but he sets it down on him and leaves the ring. Next week is the go home show for Reality Check, see you then. We fade to black.

Joe punishes the Gambler into the corner, with a series of stiff strikes and submission holds. Saito Suplex nearly spells the end for the Gambler. Joe ducks the head and Gambler hits a DDT for a two count. To the top rope but Joe catches him on the top rope. Samoan Drop connects the Gambler and Joe folds him up for a two count.
Harris is back in and beats on the Gambler but the Gambler catches him with a spinebuster. Hot tag made to Teddy Hart and the NAWA World Champion is in, running wild. He hits a Russian Legsweep on Joe, followed by a tilt a whirl backbreaker, and an elbowdrop off of the second rope but Joe kicks out at two. Hart beats on the knees of Joe but is caught on a rana and nailed with a vicious power bomb for a two count. Joe beats on Hart and Texas Cloverleaf applied. The Gambler flies in with a huge forearm smash and Harris nails the Gambler, sending him to the arena floor. Hart gets overzelous on a charge and hits his shoulder on the ringpost. That was the same shoulder that he injured a few days ago on Glory against Jerry Lynn and Joe hits a shoulder throw before he slaps on a cross armbreaker. Hart fights valiantly but Joe has him trapped in the center of the ring, so he has no choice but to tap out!

Write that one in the record books, Samoa Joe made the NAWA World Champion tap out, which has to increase his potential prospects for a future title shot. Harry Harris enters the ring and Joe gives him the evil eye but Harris applauds his win, before he checks out Hart, yelling for the doctors because he wants him one hundred percent. Hart is checked on as Harris has the NAWA World Title Belt on his hands. For a brief second it looks like he's going to hit Hart with it, but he sets it down on him and leaves the ring.
