I suppose you could even consider that a Batista spinebuster, where he just throws the guy to the mat instead of driving him into the mat, could be one.

A push-off? I mean, that is what I'd default to. Maybe something like a jack-knife pin for a technician.

Thanks for the suggestions. A push-off? I mean, that is what I'd default to. I know Peter at TNMUK started using "push off" as a counter for something like an Ace Crusher or Stunner. But as I've been thinking about this lately, I think this is unnecessary. I feel like "push off" should actually just be checking the box for "Blockable"; it seems to me like pretty much the same thing. Unlike "throw off" which would actually do some damage because there's an actual throw involved not just a shove; you're tossing the opponent off the turnbuckle (various top rope moves) or off your shoulders (headscissors takedown). Thoughts?

Yeah, I suppose you are right there. I think your proposal is probably the way to go.

A little confused about my tornado/swinging DDTs. Tornado DDT: a swinging DDT when the attacker is sitting on the turnbuckle and their opponent is standing. Leaping swinging DDT: a swinging DDT when both wrestlers are standing - doesn't use the ropes at all. But what about a springboard tornado DDT? Is it Sabin's DDT or Barreta's DDT? And what would you call the other one?

I always interpreted the leaping swinging DDT to be the Gran Hamada move where he comes off the top rope and does a tornado DDT to a standing opponent. I've used "swinging DDT" to refer to the regular version. After all, any swinging DDT requires the wrestler performing the move to jump. (Granted, in some places a Tornado DDT and a Swinging DDT are the same thing).
The Chris Sabin move is the springboard swinging DDT. Now, what you want to call the Trent Barreta version is tricky. Gran Naniwa used to do the same move out of the corner. He'd be in the DDT position facing the turnbuckle, run up to the second rope, use his other foot to push off off the top rope to swing around. Barreta's is the same thing except he doesn't use the second rope. It's not really a springboard since "springboard" is supposed to refer to being outside the ring and coming in (or vice versa). What do you have the Shiranui/Sliced Bread #2 named as?

Yeah, Asai DDT is yet another name for it (though, the Asai DDT was a move done standing... the others have rope-assistance. A minor point, though.) I would just use the normal standing swinging DDT (or whatever you want to call it) for Barreta's version. The counters should mostly be the same. After all, there is nothing in TNM where a move can knock the opponent out of the ring

What's the difference between a chinlock and a sleeperhold, other than one is a resthold and one is a possible finisher? They look pretty much the same to me from the videos I've seen.
Is there any difference between a chinlock, rear chinlock, reverse chinlock, and double reverse chinlock?
I was long under the mistaken impression a chinlock was Scott Steiner's Steiner Recliner submission. What is it actually - just a camel clutch or variant thereof?

Steiner Recliner is a camel clutch.
Chinlock seems to be done with one arm, while a sleeper uses the other arm pulling on that arm for extra leverage - if that at all makes sense.

What, if anything, is the closest TNM equivilent to the Prison Lock aka kneeling figure four? And does anybody else use the move regularly besides Saito? www.youtube.com/watch?v=41z00lnUMko

For some reason I have Quackenbush doing it stuck in my head. I also seem to picture a lot of lucha guys doing it general. I can't think of anyone who does it with any regularity, though.

Technically, The Steiner Recliner is a Torture Camel Clutch (which is an elevated Camel Clutch), but in TNM the regular camel clutch is sufficient enough. Technically the Walls of Jericho is a Torture/Elevated Boston Crab, but adding a separate move to TNM is unnessesary, especially when you already have plenty of moves in your DB alreadly.

What is a "launch slam"? I have in an old TNM7 but I just realized it's not on either my Moves list nor Peter's.
I'm guessing it's like a Gorilla press, but throwing the opponent from the overhead position rather than just dropping or powerslamming them?

Launch slam to me sounds like a slam off the top rope, not unlike the bump Flair used to take all of the time. Don't know if that's accurate or not though.

I'm guessing it's just a high angled bodyslam like a lot of generic WWE powerhouses (cough Mark Henry cough) use. Either that or it was created originally for fantasy wrestlers and speaking of moves: What would be the technical name for this? www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVGo38uCj2sLMAO

That is amazing!! What's it from?? No idea about the launch slam by the way. Sounds more like a tag team finisher, e.g. the Rocket Launcher.

I'm working on an updated export of Seth Rollins and I would like to add "turnbuckle power bomb" to the database.
Of course it isn't just Rollins who uses the move; it's commonly used by Chuck Taylor, Shelton Benjamin, Michael Elgin, Naruki Doi and others. This is my reasoning behind adding it.
As it is mainly used as a setup move, I'm thinking of assigning a damage value of around 40 (for reference, regular power bomb damage is 100). I cannot decide if the move should leave the opponent grounded or not, as I have seen both instances.
Please let me know if you have any thoughts on this.

I'd say no. I imagine that in most cases, the wrestler end up standing and ready for the next move.

Just wondering what the move at 6:12 of this video would be called... www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDUTuKqG1pcI know the sitdown splash is similar, but that's a match ended in some cases like with John Tenta's old finish The one I'm talking about is the common one to the back where a wrestler is usually on the mat facing down, but is either on his way back up, or is crawling, then the attacker jumps on him and hits his back or some other limb (usually the shoulder) to send him down again? Would sitdown splash to the back be an appropriate name for the move?

Does anybody do Sean O'Haire's Widow Maker / Prophecy / Cruel Intentions? www.youtube.com/watch?v=wImaQfjXSUMWikipedia calls it a "reverse thrown Death Valley Driver"; can't call it an inverted Death Valley Driver because that's what a Burning Hammer is.

I used to use this guy's vids as a reference when making TNM exports and the like, which I don't any more due to the fact that he hasn't made a video in years...However He did make this video that still holds true, about the difference between reverse moves and inverted moves, and there is a guy in this video from Japan that did a similar move to O'Haire's move... Also former TNA wrestler Kiyoshi, as well as former WWE wrestler Lucky Cannon did variations of it... Here's a video of Cannon doing it (and he still does it on the indy scene if I'm not mistaken...)
