Ahmed has worked out way better than I thought it would. He was also a guy who started in the USWA in real life, so it does work, as the company is based out of Memphis and is basically the concept of the USWA continuing into this era.
Obviously a little fantasy plays in, as I've made it as Johnson is in shape and back to his 1996 era look.

The Tequila Effect (Raven and Konnan) defeated Brian Christopher and Vampiro when Konnan pinned Vampiro after a Victory Roll in 0:10:11. Dundee brings out Terry Funk! Terry Funk takes the mic and says he is happy to be in Memphis tonight, and talks about his fond memories here. Dundee says that he had some concerns about Jun Akiyama, after he told the world he would have someone in his corner tonight. That match is just too important to have a mistake, so he asked Terry Funk to come to Memphis and be the special guest referee in that huge match between Bobby Fish and Jun Akiyama! Funk said he would let it all hang out tonight, so the fans can see a real winner! Lance Russell is in shock that Terry Funk will be the special guest referee tonight!! No-Countout-No-DQ-Match The Island Boys (OG Ekmo and Kimo) defeated Doug Furnas and Dan Kroffat when Kimo pinned Furnas after a top-rope gutbuster in 0:12:20. Rating: **** (The Island Boys retained the Tag Team Title.)Bill Dundee announced his team, former USWA Tag Team Champions, the Can AM Express of Doug Furnas and Dan Kroffatt! Dundee said their resumes speak for themselves, and this match was a wild one that tested the hearts of our tag team champions. Doug Furnas was weakened by Kimo when he hit a top rope gut buster that you would have to see to believe! The Island Boys escape the challenge of Furnas and Kroffat and will defend those titles at A Night to Remember. Fans Supply the Weapons Christian York defeated Carly Colon in a Fans Supply The Weapons Match by pinfall after the Rebel Yell in 0:10:59. Rating: ****A Match that was announced on the USWA website before the doors opened, a fans supply the weapons match was agreed upon by York and Carly. With a strand of barbed wire, and a Sony PlayStation at his side, Christian York was able to get the victory over Carly Colon, who flew to Memphis from Puerto Rico for the match.Daizee was worried about Carly after the match, but she was forced to leave with York and Matthews after the victory by her team. Petey Williams and Alex Shelley defeated Prince Devitt and La Mascara when P. Williams made La Mascara submit to an Indian deathlock in 0:11:23. Rating: *** 1/4 [Trinity interfered against Prince Devitt.]Williams secured the victory for himself and Shelley with an Indian deathlock to La Mascara's knee, which had him in bad shape after this tag match. Williams will receive the X-Division match from Shelley, if he can leave A Night to Remember with the X-Division title still around his waist. : No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Match with Special Referee Terry Funk Jun Akiyama made Bobby Fish submit to an armbar submission in 0:24:16. Rating: **** [Steve Corino and Frank Morell interfered against Jun Akiyama.]A semi-main event that nobody will soon forget. Terry Funk added another element to this already exciting match. Terry Funk and Steve Corino got into it at ringside on several occasions, until Terry Funk finally decked Corino, eliminating him from the ringside area. Jun Akiyama promised he would have a corner man, and he delivered when he brought a Japanese wrestler in Toshiaki Kawada to the ring. U.S. fans are not very familiar with him, but Kawada is a big name wrestler in All Japan Pro Wrestling from the 90's and has a history with Jun Akiyama. Kawada was able to scare away Frank Morell just with his presence, and never had to get physical in this one. [Anything goes]: No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match Ahmed Johnson pinned Perry Saturn after a gutwrench suplex in 0:11:09. Rating: ** 3/4
An ALL OUT BRAWL in the Mid South Coliseum. Ahmed Johnson defeated Perry Saturn and now has a clear road to the USWA Title Match inside the cage at A Night to Remember. Saturns matches with Ahmed Johnson have taken a physical toll on the champion. Many people are questioning if he can step into the cage with Jun Akiyama at 100%. Backstage Notes: Lots of news coming out of "A Countdown to Remember". The biggest news after tonight would be that Jun Akiyama and Ahmed Johnson have cleared the path to meet in the steel cage for the title at the PPV. Terry Funk made his return to the USWA, via Bill Dundee's request. A Texas Legend, Terry Funk was asked to be the special guest ref tonight. He will be in Arlington, but it's still unclear as to what capacity. Doug Furnas and Dan Kroffat, former USWA Tag Team Champions have returned to the USWA. They had a chance at the tag titles, but were unable to get the victory, but they will have plenty of competition to deal with upon their return. Jun Akiyama has brought Toshiaki Kawada to the USWA. He is a big man, who has been an arch rival in the past for Akiyama. Hopefully we will learn more about him in the weeks to come on television.

Funk said he would let it all hang out tonight, so the fans can see a real winner! Lance Russell is in shock that Terry Funk will be the special guest referee tonight!! Lance Russell talks tonight's Main Event, Bobby Fish vs Jun AkiyamaLance Russell runs down what a great night it was at the Mid South Coliseum last week. Tonight on USWA Television, we will bring you one of the matches that everyone was keeping an eye on, Bobby Fish vs Jun Akiyama. As you saw, Terry Funk was brought in by USWA President Bill Dundee. Funk was named the special guest ref in tonights main event. We will take a look at that match later in the show. The #1 contenders to the USWA Tag Titles, Konnan and Raven were in action at the Coliseum as well, right now we go to their match already in progress, as they face off against Vampiro, and Brian Christopher. Opening Match The Tequila Effect (Raven and Konnan) defeated Brian Christopher and Vampiro when Konnan pinned Vampiro after a Victory Roll in 0:10:11. Rating: *** 1/4 [Christopher Daniels interfered against Vampiro.] [Bobby Fish interfered against Brian Christopher.]Interview Tequila Effect in the locker room.(Somewhere in the locker room of the mid south coliseum we catch up with Konnan and Raven after their victory over Vampiro and Brian Christopher.) Raven says the sweet taste of victory over Christopher and Vampiro was exactly what Tequila Effect needed before they head to Arlington Texas to fulfill their destiny. Konnan says that he respects Vampiro's change in attitude as of late, but it always feels good to get a victory over his old enemy. Konnan promises Brian and Vampiro that they had nothing to do with Bobby Fish and Christopher Daniels coming down to the ring, but when opportunity knocks, sometimes you just have to answer. Konnan says that the next stop for Tequila Effect is to put those tag team titles around their waist. Interview Vampiro and Brian Christopher our irate over Corino Family. (Somewhere backstage in the Mid South Coliseum.) Vampiro is shown throwing a chair across the room as Brian Christopher says that they have both had it with Steve Corino's guys. Christopher Daniels and Bobby Fish both cost them their match, and at A Night to Remember it will be time to even up the odds. Christopher says that sometime soon they will all meet inside that squared circle, and when it happens, Christopher is going to guarantee to super kick the daylights out of Fish, and his stupid "trainer" Frank Morell! Vampiro says that he is personally going to talk to Bill Dundee about getting an opportunity to right the wrongs that Fish and Daniels had made tonight. Summary Lance Russell talks about the RETURN of former tag champions.Russell talks about how for WEEKS, Bill Dundee said he would be bringing in a team to take on the Island Boys for the titles and really test the tag team champions right before A Night to Remember. That's exactly what happened when Dan Kroffat and Doug Furnas returned to the USWA Last week! Lets take a look at the highlights of the match, as the tag team titles were on the line! Tag Team Championship Match Highlights The Island Boys (OG Ekmo and Kimo) defeated Doug Furnas and Dan Kroffat when Kimo pinned Furnas after a top-rope gutbuster in 0:12:20. Rating: **** (The Island Boys retained the Tag Team Title.)Prerecorded Comments Post Match with Island Boys(Back in the locker room The champs are packing up their bags getting ready to leave the arena..) OG Ekmo gives Bill Dundee credit for keeping Furnas and Kroffatt a surprise for all these weeks. It wasn't a team they thought they would have to face. Former two time USWA Tag Team champions. Some say they are one of the best teams to ever compete in the USWA, but tonight, The Island Boys proved they are paving their own path to history with a big victory over the former champions. Kimo says that the Island Boys passed Dundees test with flying colors, and next on the list is Tequila Effect. Konnan and Raven. Kimo says that these two have been talking for WEEKS about how beating the Island Boys is the final step in their path to success. Kimo tells Raven he should call up Bad Intentions and ask them how facing the Island Boys worked out for them. He says to ask Furnas and Kroffat about trying to take these belts off two young and hungry wrestlers. Kimo has a warning for Raven and Konnan, and that's not to over look the tag champs, because it seems everyone that overlooks the Island Boys, ends up pinned on the mat! Prerecorded Comments Post Match with Furnas and Kroffat(Furnas and Kroffat finish up signing autographs for some fans...) Dan Kroffat said that if someone would of told him a month ago that he would be facing the USWA tag team champions at the Mid South Coliseum, he would of asked that person what he was smoking? Kroffat gives credit to Kimo and Ekmo as a big powerhouse young team that took the former champs to the limits tonight. Doug Furnas says that the USWA has signed on to host the largest tag team tournament in the United States starting next month, and that is something that interested the Can AM Express. Furnas claims this is the last run for the Can Am Express, and they want to leave the USWA with a legacy that won't soon be matched. (James Storm and Chris Harris make their way over the the Can Am Express.) Harris says that he wanted to be the FIRST to welcome the Can Am Express back to the USWA. He says that for most of his career he has had to hear about how AMW is one of the best teams to ever compete in the USWA, but they could never beat the Can AM Express. Harris says the only reason they are STILL not the USWA Tag Champs is because they were stripped of the titles after an injury. Harris says that he has always had the burning question as to WHO IS the best team in the history of the USWA, and now that the Can Am Express are back.... it looks like now is the time to find out the answer to that question. (A.M.W. leave the area as Kroffat and Furnas just look at each other.) Summary Lance Russell talks A Night to Remember & future shows.Lance says that a match between The Can Am Express and Americas Most Wanted would be a USWA DREAM MATCH and hopes that Bill Dundee can put that match together maybe in time for A Night to Remember! Lance runs down the Night to Remember card as it stands and talks again about tonights main event between Jun Akiyama and Bobby Fish, the winner will face Ahmed Johnson for the Unified Heavyweight title, inside a steel cage at A Night to Remember. Russell talks about next week on USWA Championship Television, we will have more matches from the Mid South Coliseum including the X-Division tag match, and Ahmed Johnson will take on Perry Saturn in an anything goes match. (quick highlights from the match are shown). Also, in two weeks, right before we head to Texas for A Night to Remember, the USWA has announced a show at the Louisville Gardens in Louisville, KY. USWA stars Petey Williams, The Bad Street Boys, Prince Devitt, Trinity, Bobby Fish, CM Punk, Vampiro, Brian Christopher and more are all signed for that big card in Louisville, KY. Russell hypes up tonights main event one more time as he takes us to the action... :with Special Referee Terry Funk Jun Akiyama made Bobby Fish submit to an armbar submission in 0:24:16. Rating: **** [Steve Corino and Frank Morell interfered against Jun Akiyama.]Post Match interview with Akiyama and Kawada.(In the locker room still sweating from his victory over Bobby Fish, Jun Akiyama is with Kawada). Akiyama says that the odds were against him with Frank Morell and Steve Corino at ringside, so he brought in an equalizer in Kawada. Akiyama says Kawada has been his friend and his enemy in the past, but he believes in fair competition, and he knew he would have his back tonight. Akiyama thanks Terry Funk for getting rid of Steve Corino, and now he's looking forward to stepping into that steel cage with Ahmed Johnson at A Night to Remember, and once again becoming the USWA Heavyweight champion! © USWA Championship Wrestling All Rights Reserved 2003

USWA Championship Wrestling November 22nd, 2003 Host: Lance RussellFans Supply the Weapons Christian York defeated Carly Colon in a Fans Supply The Weapons Match by pinfall after the Rebel Yell in 0:10:59. Rating: ****Summary Lance Russell recaps the fans bring weapons match.Lance Russell tells the fans that it was the first ever USWA "Fans bring the weapons match", and it's a match some fans are still talking about. Lance introduces Carly Colon and Carly says that he came back to the USWA to teach York a lesson, but he didn't get the victory in the matchup. Carly then says he has some footage he wants to share with the USWA fans. Video rolls of Daizee Haze helping Carly Colon re cooperate from his injuries at the hands of Christian York....... Carly tells York that he is going to see him again at A Night to Remember, and promises Daizee Haze will be in his corner! Lance tells him that Christian York hasn't been focusing much on his pro wrestling career, ever since these mind games with Daizee and Colon! This footage might be what puts him over the top, and he wouldn't want to be in Carly's shoes when they face off again! Prerecorded comments Bobby Fish and Frank Morell speak about A Night to Remember. (Cameras catch Bobby Fish working out in a local gym with his trainer Frank Morell.) Bobby Fish says that he will be the first to admit, he is quite disappointed in his loss to Jun Akiyama, but he won't let that get in the way of all the strides he has made in 2003. Fish comments to Frank Morell that getting smashed in the head by steel chairs from both Steve Corino and Morell didn't help his cause, but he's looking forward to his next opponent Brian Christopher at A Night to Remember. Fish says he remembers Brian Christopher running around the USWA in the mid 90's. Fish said that he used to look up to Brian as an athlete, but now it just feels like some of his "life choices" has him back in the USWA begging guys like Bill Dundee for one last chance in the spotlight. Fish says the fact is he no longer respects Christopher, and he no longer looks up to him, but rather he's looking past him. Fish says that after A Night to Remember, he's going to finish off Christopher and once again be in the Heavyweight title scene. (Fish goes back to working out with Morell.) Chris Harris says that he would just like to thank Bill Dundee for taking swift action, because god knows how many days Kroffat and Furnas have left in their old decrepit bodies! Harris says that at A Night to Remember, Americas Most Wanted will prove to the world, that they are the best team that the USWA has ever seen! X-Division Tag Action Highlights Petey Williams and Alex Shelley defeated Prince Devitt and La Mascara when P. Williams made La Mascara submit to an Indian death lock in 0:11:23. Rating: *** 1/4 [Trinity interfered against Prince Devitt.]Post Match Interview Petey Williams talks about his future X-Division title match.Backstage Trinity and Petey Williams are celebrating their tag team victory with Alex Shelley. Shelley thanks Williams once again for teaming with him tonight, and helping him stick it to Prince Devitt. Williams says that Shelley made a very smart choice in picking him as his dream partner, and he will be expecting that X-Division title match sooner than later after A night to Remember. Williams says that he is the future of a division that was created off of energetic, high flying, fast paced action packed matches. Williams says that Shelley should focus on defending that title against Devitt, but know that Williams will be waiting..... Williams also told La Mascara to heal up that busted knee, in a very cocky tone. Interview Promo Devitt(Prince Devitt is in a parking lot putting his ring gear back in his car.) Devitt looks in the camera and asks the camera guy if he's looking for a comment? Devitt says that what Petey Williams did to La Mascara's knee at the Coliseum was uncalled for. He says that Shelley already had a history of injuring his opponents, because last August in Chicago, Shelley took Devitt out of action when he wouldn't let go of a hold to his knee. Then Shelley went onto Global Warfare to take Juventud Guerrero out of action. Devitt says that this attitude change Shelley has had might of helped him capture the X-Division title, but eventually, it's going to bite him in the ass! Devitt says at A Night to Remember, he wants to challenge Alex to the ULTIMATE match...Ultimate X, for the X-Division title. Devitt says he has faced Shelley up and down the road in the USWA, but they've never taken it to the ultimate limits, A Night to Remember is the best place to do it, so if Shelley has the guys, or Dundee has the balls, they will do what it takes to make that match a reality, then he can give LA Mascara the X-Division match he deserves, once he's recovered. Interview Promo Island Boys(OG EKMO and Kimo are backstage of the Mid South Coliseum.) Ekmo talks about the shock they had when Bill Dundee brought back The Can-Am Express. The 4th team in USWA history to win the Tag Titles. They won those titles over Tommy Dreamer and the Sandman, and The Road Warriors in a 3 way dance two years ago. It was a decent run, but it only lasted a month. The one team they defended the titles against? A new coming team in Americas Most Wanted. They won the titles back a week later. They defended the titles with 1 pinfall victory in a 5 star match over ...another FUTURE tag champion team in Corino and Jerry Lynn, but again that title reign lasted less than a month, eventually losing the rematch to Lynn and Corino. Ekmo says the Island Boys might of been new to the USWA in 2003, but they've read up on their history, they understand the significance of their return. Now Americas Most wanted jump in the picture, and they claim they are the best team in USWA History.... One title reign in early 2002, and never defended the title, but was stripped when Harris got injured. Storm says their longevity in the company is what brings them to the table as one of the best tag teams in the history of the company. Kimo interrupts and says that the Island Boys are the ones that have the titles around their shoulders. The Island Boys hold victories over Furnas and Kroffat, but if Americas Most Wanted ever want to go one on one with the belts on the line, and open invite is on the table. Kimo says that between AMW, Can-Am Express, Tequila Effect, and the champs, the December Real World Tag Tournament can't get here soon enough. In 2003 we are going to find out EXACTLY who the best team in the history of the USWA really is! [Anything goes]: Falls-Count-Anywhere Match Ahmed Johnson pinned Perry Saturn after a gutwrench suplex in 0:11:09. Rating: ** 3/4Interview Johnson Promo for N2R(Ahmed Johnson stands in front of the USWA backdrop..) Johnson says that it was a smart move on Akiyama's part to bring in Kawada to "watch his back" at the Mid South Coliseum. Johnson says that he is glad his first title defense will be against Jun Akiyama, but if he thinks Kawada will save his ass in the cage, he has another thing coming. Inside the 15 foot high steel cage, Kawada won't be a factor. Johnson says that A Night to Remember is the one show every year where the best of the best fight it out, the USWA has put together this match because Johnson won the Unified title, he defeated Taz, and Jun Akiyama won the biggest singles tournament in the history of the USWA when he took the win in the G1 Tournament. In Arlington Texas, the future of the USWA is on the line. The title has been unified, now it's just a matter of time until everyone knows who will be the man to lead the new era in USWA Wrestling!

Toshiaki Kawada pinned King Fale with the Brain Buster in 0:03:43. Rating: ** 3/4

Steve Corino calls out Terry Funk.
Steve Corino makes it to the ring and talks about how disappointed he was to see Terry Funk back in a USWA ring. The last time he saw Funk in the USWA, he was getting his ass kicked in King of the Death match tournaments, that are now BANNED! Corino said that it was "cute" to have Funk at the Mid South Coliseum a couple weeks ago, but he's better off not being apart of A Night to Remember.

(Trinity comes out to the ring.)

Funk said that they will make a stipulation to the match, and it will be announced at the PAY PER VIEW!
Trinity pinned Jazz with the Fall From Grace in 0:06:26. Rating: **

Prince Devitt pinned Juventud Guerrera with the Bloody Sunday in 0:17:41. Rating: ***** [Alex Shelley and Petey Williams interfered against Prince Devitt.]
An amazing X-Division match that blew the roof off of the Louisville Gardens. Both Shelley and Williams came down and tried to get involved in this match, but Juventud Guerrera didn't want anything to do with the "assist" from Shelley and Williams. After all, it was Shelley who put Guerrera on the shelf! Devitt was able to pick up the victory despite the interference from both Shelley and Williams. Devitt pointed to the sky and told Alex Shelley that the X-Division title won't be safe when it's put on the line in ULTIMATE X!
Perry Saturn, Vampiro and Brian Christopher defeated The Corino Family (CM Punk and Karl Anderson) and Christopher Daniels when Saturn pinned Punk with the Death Valley Driver in 0:22:45. Rating: ***** [Steve Corino interfered against Perry Saturn.] [Steve Corino interfered against Brian Christopher.] (Bobby Fish no-showed.)
Last week Vampiro pleaded with Bill Dundee to get an opportunity to face Fish and Daniels before A Night to Remember, the six man tag was signed to headline our return to Louisville, but Bobby Fish was "suddenly ill" and unable to compete. He was replaced with Karl Anderson in a six man tag that will go down in history as one of the best in the USWA. Brian and Vampiro, with help from Perry Saturn, were able to get a little bit of revenge on the Corino family. Daniels and Vampiro will go one on one at A Night to Remember, with Bobby Fish taking on Brian Christopher!
Backstage Notes:
This special THURSDAY NIGHT from the Louisville Gardens was taped for Television to air this upcoming weekend, before the USWA PPV, A Night to Remember!

Comments from Corino

A successful end to the 2003 Pay Per View calendar year for the USWA. Two new champions as the Tag Titles and the X-Titles changed hands.
Taz is medically cleared to return to the ring, but USWA officials might keep him out of action until January as a safety measure. Taz will add some much needed depth to the main event scene.
Chad Collyer was pinned and beaten to a pulp by the Corino Family tonight. Behind the scenes, Chad Collyer would not sign a new contract with the USWA. Bill Dundee and Collyer are keeping the lines of communication open, and as a friendly exchange with AJPW, Chad Collyer will head to Japan for a few months, as Kawada competes here in the USWA. Dundee and the office will continue to negotiate with Collyer and would like to get him back by the summer of 04.
Harry Smith was willing to renegotiate his contract, but officials feel he is still very young and needs to get more experience around the world.
D'Lo Brown and Bull Buchanan have been released from the WWF and have signed on to compete here in the USWA. Brian Lee has also signed a deal to stay in the USWA for the near future.
We saw the rise of the Corino Family, and it seems like the new leader of the group will be Christopher Daniels. We will be sure to learn more from the fallout of the PPV on USWA Championship TV.

The Jonesboro, AR shows are being built as small shows that will take place usually the night before our big Mid South Coliseum shows. Some matches were taped for television, but most will not air.
The biggest news coming out of this show was the injury to Chris Harris days before the start of the Real World Tag League round robin tournament. It is still too early to know what kind of effect this will have on A.M.W.'s participation, but this can't sit well with them. After all, it was an injury to Chris Harris as tag team champions that led to them having to relinquish the tag titles a couple years ago. Taz talks about returning to the USWA from a third neck surgery.
(outside in the parking lot of arena, after A Night to Remember, Taz talks to a single camera.)
Taz says that it was only a few months ago that he was the face of this organization. He was the man with the longest title reign, he was the man that was on a collision course with Jun Akiyama, and it was Akiyama and Taz that was always in the plans to unify the USWA titles at A Night to Remember.
Taz talks about his match with Ahmed Johnson at Global Warfare, He won the match, but for the third time in his career, he broke his neck. He had to have surgery. Taz talks about his first surgery in ECW when Too Cold Scorpio broke his neck. He talks about 2001 when Low-Ki broke his neck here in the USWA, and now Ahmed Johnson. Taz blames Johnson for making him miss the Puerto Rican Invasion tour, he blames him for being stripped of the title, and he blames him for ruining his A Night to Remember moment. The one on one match with Akiyama that was years in the making.
Taz says that he appreciated his lifelong friend Perry Saturn coming back to the USWA and sticking up for him when he was out of action. Taz calls Saturn a true friend. He then tells CM Punk and the Corino family that they'd better watch their back, because taking out Chad Collyer doesn't sit well with Team Taz. Taz says Collyer is like a son to him, and anyone that messes with his family is going to feel the path of rage!
Taz wraps up his comments telling Ahmed Johnson that it makes him sick watching him come to the ring everynight with those three titles draped around him. Every night he thinks that those titles should be his, and at Christmas Chaos, he's going to right the wrongs that have been done to him the last four months.

Promo from Americas Most Wanted about RWTL.
(Interview with Chris Harris and James Storm at the local hospital.)
Harris says he knows that a lot of people are starting to give him the reputation of being soft. He said that the Real World Tag League is THE tournament that will put a team right on the top of the list for a shot at Raven and Konnans tag team titles. He said he doesn't care what the doctors had to say, he will NOT miss the tournament!
James Storm said that AMW felt the frustrations when those titles were stripped from them during their only tag team title reign. That moment in time was the beginning of the end of AMW as we knew it. It broke them apart, but after time both men knew that they could come back and reclaim those titles that they never lost. This elbow injury wasn't going to set them back. Storm tells The Island Boys, Can Am Express, and the rest of the USWA tag teams to get ready for Americas Most Wanted in the tag league!

Match 2 Brian Lee pinned Brian Christopher with the Prime Time Slam in 0:05:15. Rating: ** 3/4
Comments from Brian Lee
(Brian Lee is backstage in Jonesboro....)
Brian says that when Steve Corino called him and told him that he had a new plan for the Corino Family, a reorganization, and he needed a big man in his stable, he knew that he was going to be back in the USWA. Lee said that the USWA was like the Hotel California. He could check out anytime he wanted, but he could never leave.
Lee talked about his time with Vampiro, but says he doesn't exactly see eye to eye with him these days. He also said that Brian Christopher has been the pain in the ass that he's never quite been able to get rid of, but all that is about to change. Lee says that if Christopher and Vampiro want to stick their noses in Corino Family business, they're going to have to get through him first.
Lee says that he made short work of Brian Christopher tonight. He has never been in the ring across from Vampiro, but if he names the time and the place, he will be there, and he'll kick his ass!
X-Division segment Russell intros X-Division rematch.
Lance Russell says that the return of the Bulldozer Brian Lee to the USWA is nothing to make light of. He talks about the domination he had with Vampiro and Raven a few years ago. He's now the hired gun of the Corino Family and it looks like he already has Christopher and Vampiro on his short list.
Meanwhile, Alex Shelley, former USWA X-division champion had the opportunity to regain that title in Jonesboro recently. A rematch from A Night to Remember took place and we bring you that match right now.
Match 3 Prince Devitt pinned Alex Shelley with the Bloody Sunday in 0:08:04. Rating: *** 3/4 (Prince Devitt retained the X-Division Title.)
Promo from former X-Division champion Alex Shelley
(Backstage in Jonesboro @ The Lady Luck Casino.)
Alex Shelley says that some things in life are just not fair. He says that his reign as X-Division champion was cut short, but Devitt is a kid that walked in the door at the right time, in the right situation and got lucky. Shelley says that he will get that USWA title back, and he will take out anyone in his path to get that opportunity.
Lance Russell talks next weeks show.
Lance Russell says that Alex Shelley is talking a big game, but the numbers don't lie. Shelley lost his mandatory rematch in Jonesboro and we all know that La Mascara will get the next shot, due to the agreement he had with Devitt to be his tag partner in the dream tag match back at the Mid South Coliseum last month.
Next week, USWA championship TV will have highlights of the opening night of the Real World Tag League. The next three weeks of TV will recap all the action of the USWA tournament as it makes its way across the territory.
Lance then talks about tonight's main event. Perry Saturn steps in the ring one more time with Ahmed Johnson. In this match, Johnson has agreed to put the titles on the line.
Match 4: Main Event Ahmed Johnson pinned Perry Saturn after a small package in 0:05:54. Rating: **** (Ahmed Johnson retained the Heavyweight Title.) (Ahmed Johnson retained the Global Title.) (Ahmed Johnson retained the Southern Title.)
Johnson gets his second title defense in the books with the victory over Perry Saturn in Jonesboro. It wasn't a dominant victory with a pearl river plunge, but none of the matches with Saturn have been easy. Johnson told Saturn to give Taz a message, he will see him at Christmas Chaos!

Day 1 Notes:
The Mid South Coliseum was excited to kick off the tag team tournament this year with a nice crowd on hand of over 5,000 fans in attendance. Bill Dundee told the crowd to expect this tournament to be a new tradition in the USWA, as the promotion continues to put the emphasis on singles, light weights, and tag team wrestling.
The first match in the tournament ended up as a time limit draw, giving both teams a point a piece. Daizee Haze made her return to the USWA after the attack she suffered at the hands of the Corino Family at A Night to Remember.
Former champions, the Island Boys picked up the first victory of the tournament in a matchup against Americas Most Wanted.
The Corino Family snatched a victory from the recently departed WWF superstars, D'Lo Brown and Bull Buchanan. Karl Anderson has already been tag team champion one time. He intends to take his knowledge of tag team wrestling and use it to get CM Punk and himself into the finals of the tournament.
The biggest surprise on night one was the domination of Kawada and Akiyama over the USWA tag team champions. A big victory for this team, who displayed techniques which would have any fan believing they've been teaming up for years.
In our main event of the night, Taz made his in ring return with a victory over Bobby Fish. Frank Morell attempted to cost Taz the match on several occasions, but his interference backfired, allowing Taz to hook Fish in an arm grapevine submission finish. After the match Bobby Fish was irate with his trainer. The two argued back to the dressing room as Taz continued to receive an ovation from the crowd.

In tournament action....

The Island Boys continue rack up points with a victory over the Can Am Express. This gives the Island Boys an early lead in Block A.
Tequila Effect picked up their first win over D'Lo Brown and Buchanan. The first major test for Bull and Brown have been a disappointment thus far.

Our Main Event saw a six man tag with Christopher and Vampiro teaming up with Taz to take on members of the Corino Family. The match ended in a DQ when Corino got involved seeing Brian Christopher about to pin Brian Lee for the victory. Vampiro took the mic and guaranteed that he will be the one to take the Corino Family OUT of the USWA!

Johnson talks to the camera and says that he knew that it wouldn't be long until Taz was back in the USWA and looking for a match for the Triple Crown. Johnson says that he won't be caught off guard at Christmas Chaos, he won't have any excuses when that match goes down. As a matter of fact Johnson says he has petitioned Bill Dundee to make this match a no countout/no DQ match. This way someone will get their shoulders pinned to the mat. No excuses! Johnson says that 2003 is going to end with a definitive USWA Champion!

Dave Brown recaps again Sunday Night December 21st. The last night of live USWA action in 2003. Don't miss it!
(Dave throws it back to Lance Russell.)
Russell recaps La Mascara/Juventud Guerrera feud.
Lance Russell talks about the Jr. heavyweights that have recently been competing in the X-Division. Back in October Bill Dundee changed the X-Division to restrict it to a 225 pound limit. With that new factor, Dundee brought in some of the most talented Jr. heavyweights to show off the skills that the division could rise too. The Great Sasuke and Juventud Guerrera were just two of those athletes. The fans really took a liking to Juventud, remembering his time in the now defunct WCW. It wasn't long until Juvi took on a new attitude, taking a payoff from Steve Corino, in order to take out Petey Williams at the Mid South Coliseum back in late October.
Juventud and La Mascara got into a verbal war when La Mascara expressed his disappointment in Juventud to take the money of Steve Corino. The two have since been competing in the ring all across the USWA territory. Lance takes us to a match that recently took place between the two in Birmingham, Alabama earlier this week.
Edited for TV La Mascara made Juventud Guerrera submit to the Campana in 0:26:38. Rating: *****

Daniels says that every family has it's problems. Yes Giant Bernard left the family, yes Jun Akiyama left the family, but in the end, family business stays in house.
Daniels says that every family seems to have it's enemies, and the Corino Family sure has made a long list of those, but at the top of that list is both Vampiro and Brian Christopher. Tonight, Brian Christopher steps in the ring with The Fallen Angel.
Daniels tells Christopher he has been awfully quiet ever since Bobby Fish called him out for his "prior mishaps with the law", and that he hasn't seen the FIRE from Christopher that he came to the USWA with. Daniels said that Brian had better man up if he plans to step in the ring with him tonight. Daniels then explains that he isn't friends with Brian, and that his time as a top contender in the USWA is past due. He plans on taking care of family business tonight, and then setting his sites on something a little bigger, but he doesn't want to get ahead of himself just yet.

Christopher Daniels pinned Brian Christopher with the Last Rites in 0:11:43. Rating: *** 1/4
Backstage Notes:
Contract negotiations with Brian Christopher were a success. Brian has re-signed with the USWA for an 18 month long contract. Both the USWA and Brian were happy to come to an agreement that will keep the long time local wrestler in the USWA.
Negotiations with Juventud Guerrera came to a mutual agreement to part ways. The USWA was happy to bring in Guerrera as we established the new weight limit for the X-Division title, but it was known from the beginning that his time in the USWA would be short lived. Guerrera is leaving the USWA after Christmas Chaos with a 5 star match with La Mascara under his belt. Guerrera has told his Lucha amigos all about how far La Mascara has come in such a short time in the USWA. This could potentially open the doors to more young lucha stars making their way to the USWA in 2004.
Rumors are starting to get out on the internet that Christmas Chaos is going to end the USWA 2003 season with a bang! A real eye opener as to what we could expect in 2004.
The next several weeks of television will focus on the Real World Tag League, along with highlighting all major stories that will come from Christmas Chaos.

Prince Devitt pinned Alex Koslov with the Bloody Sunday in 0:08:32. Rating: ****
The X-Division champion picks up a non title victory over Alex Koslov. Alex came to the ring and incited the crowd to boo him when he brought the Russian flag to the ring. Kozlov has been nicknamed "The Russian Hooligan" as of late, as he attempts to make a name for himself in the X-Division. Devitt set up Kozlov with the Fujiwara armbar, and then hit the Sunday Bloody Sunday to finish him off.

Petey Williams pinned Matt Cross with the Canadian Destroyer in 0:10:54.Rating: **** 1/4
Petey Williams continues his impressive record in the X-Division with a victory over Matt Cross. Alex Koslov made his way to ringside to get a closer look at the action. Koslov didn't get involved but he seems to have a real interest in the current scene in the X-Division.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Loser-Leaves-Town Match La Mascara pinned Juventud Guerrera after a flying cross body press in 0:11:49. Rating: **** 1/4
It looks like the final chapter in the feud with La Mascara and Juventud Guerrera. La Mascara claimed he was ready to prove himself as a young Mexican superstar here in the USWA. He challenged Juventud Guerrera and was willing to put his USWA career on the line. La Mascara gets the victory eliminating Guerrera from the USWA and picking up what some are calling his biggest victory of his career. Tomorrow night, La Mascara goes for the X-Division title.
[Block A Decision Match]: No-Countout-No-DQ-Match The Can-Am Express (Dan Kroffat and Doug Furnas) defeated The Island Boys (OG Ekmo and Kimo) when Kroffat made Kimo submit to a scorpion deathlock in 0:11:59. Rating: ***
The decision match for Block A ends with a submission victory for The Can-Am Express over former champions The Island Boys. The Can AM Express will now face Kawada and Akiyama in a tag team finals match tomorrow night at Christmas Chaos. The Can-Am Express have returned to the USWA attempting one last run for the titles. A victory in the Real World Tag League will put that dream in the reach of Dan Kroffat and Doug Furnas!
Cam Am Express talk about winning the Block A Decision.
After the match Dave Brown hits the ring to get a word from Furnas and Kroffat.
Furnas said that the reason they came back to the USWA was to once again be able to claim they are the best team in the world. Tonight they are one step closer to accomplishing the goal.
Kroffat said that they came back and proved to Americas Most Wanted who the best team in the history of the USWA was. Now they will just knocked off the former champions. Akiyama and Kawada are next, and then Raven and Konnan should be on the lookout, because they will soon hold those USWA belts up high as champions!
Taz made Christopher Daniels submit to the Tazmission in 0:09:27.Rating: **** 1/4
Another victory for Taz on the eve of his title match. Taz made the leader of the Corino Family tap out in tonight's main event, but not without Daniels continuous attack on the leg of the former champion. Taz was noticeably limping after the match. What effect this will have on him tomorrow night, we are not quite sure, but Ahmed Johnson was given the night off and will go into the title match fresh.
Dave Brown hits the ring to get Taz's final thoughts before Christmas Chaos
Taz tells Dave Brown that the waiting is over. Tomorrow night in Memphis it's Ahmed Johnson vs Taz, title on the line. No DQ no Countout we will have a definitive winner at the Coliseum.
Taz tells Johnson that he has waited 4 months for tomorrow night, and the title is going back around the waist of the man who made that belt famous!

Brown And Buchanan (D'Lo Brown and Bull Buchanan) defeated The Bad Street Boys (Christian York and Joey Matthews) when D'Lo pinned J. Matthews with the Lo' Down in 0:10:54. Rating: *** 1/4 [Daizee Haze interfered against Bull Buchanan.] [Daizee Haze interfered against D'Lo Brown.]
Both of these teams didn't have the most impressive showing at the Real World Tag League tournament. Christian York took the mic beforehand and called D'lo and Bull WWE outcasts just trying to get a paycheck in the USWA. What was once a "friendly" matchup turned personal right before the bell. D'Lo got the pinfall on Joey Matthews to give D'Lo and Bull a win at Chaos. D'Lo took the mic beforehand and told York he couldn't even make it in the WWE!
Petey Williams pinned Alex Koslov with the Canadian Destroyer in 0:17:41. Rating: **** 1/4 [Trinity interfered against Alex Koslov.]

[Proving Ground Match]: No-Countout-No-DQ-Match The Tequila Effect (Raven and Konnan) defeated The Island Boys (OG Ekmo and Kimo) when Konnan made Kimo submit to the Tequila Sunrise in 0:11:02. Rating: *** 1/2
Tequila Effect were placed in a proving ground match with the former USWA Tag Team Champions. If The Island Boys could get a victory, they would be promised a future title shot. It didn't happen tonight, Konnan, who won the titles for Tequilla effect by making Ekmo pass out in the Tequilla Sunrise at A Night to Remember, defeated Kimo with the same maneuver here at Christmas Chaos.
Perry Saturn pinned Bobby Fish with the Death Valley Driver in 0:06:49.Rating: ** 3/4
In a rematch from Nashville, Perry Saturn once again defeated Bobby Fish. This was the last straw for Fish as he once again blamed the loss on Frank Morell. Fish told Morell that he was officially fired as his trainer, blaming his recent losing streak on Morell. Fish attacked Frank and left him laying in the ring as a furious Bobby Fish walked back to the dressing room.
Prince Devitt pinned La Mascara with the Bloody Sunday in 0:09:51. Rating: **** (Prince Devitt retained the X-Division Title.) [Alex Shelley interfered against La Mascara.]
La Mascara was given his X-Division title shot. This match was the outcome of La Mascara agreeing to be Prince Devitts tag partner at "A countdown to Remember" back in mid November. After La Mascara recovered from the knee injury, and Devitt was able to retain the X-Division against Alex Shelley at A Night to Remember, we arrive at La Mascara as the next title contender. Devitt sealed the victory avoiding the distraction of Shelley at ringside. Shelley attempted to throw Devitt a chair, but it was intercepted by La Mascara, who didn't waste any time trying to use it on Devitt during the match. Devitt got the victory, but seemed very confused at La Mascaras "win at any cost" attitude during the matchup.
[Real World Tag League 2003 Finals]: No-Countout-No-DQ-Match The Can-Am Express (Dan Kroffat and Doug Furnas) defeated Toshiaki Kawada and Jun Akiyama when Kroffat pinned Kawada with the Tiger Driver in 0:08:52. Rating: ****
The inaugural winners of the 2003 Real World Tag League are the Can-Am Express. A huge victory and some might call an upset, giving Akiyama and Kawada their only loss in the entire tournament. Kroffat hit an excellent tiger driver for the victory and then made a visual of the titles being around their waste. The Can-Am Express earned $50,000 for the tournament victory, along with a trophy, and a guaranteed Title shot at our next PPV event.
[USWA Championship Match]: No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Ahmed Johnson pinned Taz with the Pearl River Plunge in 0:12:20. Rating: *** 1/4 (Ahmed Johnson retained the Heavyweight Title.) (Ahmed Johnson retained the Global Title.) (Ahmed Johnson retained the Southern Title.) [Sabu interfered against Taz.] [Christopher Daniels interfered against Ahmed Johnson.]
Ahmed Johnson gets a 1-2-3 victory over Taz to retain the triple crown, but everyone left the Mid South Coliseum talking about the USWA return of SABU! Along with Christopher Daniels making a statement that he is going to be a Main Event player in 2004, this match was a wild ending to 2003! Sabu tripped up Taz, opening the door for Ahmed Johnson to hit a spinebuster, and set up the pearl river plunge for the victory. Christopher Daniels whacked the heavyweight champion in the back with a chair in the middle of the match, and had a stare down with Sabu in the middle of the ring! We will get more information on this entire situation this week on USWA Television.
Backstage Notes:
Christmas Chaos ends a wild 2003 year in the USWA. Sabu has returned to the promotion and looks to have made a statement that he has unfinished business with former ECW Tag Team Partner and ECW rival Taz. Christopher Daniels, who was anointed the leader of the Corino Family made it clear he takes that job seriously when he got in the face of Ahmed Johnson. We leave Chaos with Ahmed still the USWA champion, and two new faces looking to get involved in the title picture.
The Can Am Express win the Real World Tag League and will challenge Konnan and Raven for the Tag Team Titles in the early part of 2004. The Express are finishing up an amazing tag team career right here in the USWA. We will see if they have one more title run in them once they get in the ring with Konnan and Raven.
Prince Devitt retains his X-Division title over La Mascara, but their friendship seems to be in question after La Mascara was quick to use the interference from Alex Shelley to his advantage. La Mascara blames Devitt of bring in cahoots with Alex, as it was Shelley who attempted to throw a chair to Devitt during the match.
Petey Williams picked up a victory over Alex Koslov and has earned the #1 contender label. Williams will compete for the X-Division title on an upcoming USWA show.
